A Familiar Face - Invited Hale

    Given his room was on the top floor of the tower, the sudden screaming from outside sparked his attention, but all he could manage was to give a groan and long sigh. He had just finished installing a new security since and quite obviously it wasn't working given that whoever was here and now on his roof didn't trigger it somehow. Rolling off of his couch and heading for the wall mounted monitor, he pressed a button to get a camera visual of whoever it was, though it seemed there was nothing but the fat backside of some type of desert bird sitting right on the camera and had pushed it to be pointing straight into the sky. "Oh come on." Tossing his hands up he figured he had to do it the old fashion way and just go out and see who it was, and at this point hope they hadn't shown up to attack him or insult in as was becoming a strange norm.

    Pressing a large button next to the monitor, the roof near where Thaw would have been standing would lower in a large square until it hit the floor near where Hale was standing, and a moment later Thaw would have seen Hale's body slowly appearing as it raised once more and stopped. Hale simply stared blankly at what looked to be an Arcosian, though not one he was completely familiar with, and given the few others who had shown up recently he just assumed he was with them or knew them as they were all members of the WTF. "Uh, hi. Can I help you with something?" His eyes narrowed as there was actually something very familiar with this guy, and the more he stared the more familiar he looked, though there was no way it was who he thought it was given his appearance, and he didn't want to simply assume either way. "Are you one of those Fleet guys? Had a few stop by recently."


Thaw

    Hale simply looked the Arcosian up and down for a moment, not saying anything, just staring. "No you're not." Slowly his eyes narrowed as he continued to try and figure out why this guy looked so familiar, and why he was trying to pass himself off as someone he knew to be completely different. "I know you sort of look like Thaw, but he has all this odd looking robot parts, and he smelled a bit like burnt rubber and metal." Putting a hand up to his chin he looked as if he were genuinely in deep thought as he kept looking him over, then held up his hand. "Well, one, I built this tower. Two, I was in it because it's where I live now. Three, normal self? Four, how do I know I can believe you? Tell me something only I would know.", crossing his arms and leaning back a little, looking skeptical.

    Hale instantly tensed as he felt the hand on his shoulder, turning to the side to keep his eyes on Thaw. The more he talked the less suspicious Hale looked, even giving a bit of a laugh at his last comment. "Well, I guess you got me there. I'm still a bit confused with how you look though." He stomped his foot a few times lightly and pointed down. "This was what were you helping me build, or at last the foundation for it at the time. The design changed pretty drastically though.", smirking and crossing his arms again.

    "I've been looking for him myself. Last I saw him was at Crop Co, and I'm not even sure how to get in contact with him at this point." He stopped and just stared at Thaw for a moment, and didn't seem all that surprised by what he had just heard, simply nodding. "Well, yeah. You did flat out tell me you were working for the Fleet, and you were pretty clearly some type of robot. Which is why I'm confused more than anything that you are saying that as past tense. You apparently aren't working with the Fleet, and you are pretty clearly not a robot anymore, though that makes absolutely no sense."

    Giving a bit of a shrug and laughing some, Hale nodded. "Yeah, I've gotten pretty strong. Things have been pretty interesting since we last saw each other. Built this tower, met a ton of new people, joined the Pride Troopers, ran my own tournament which I'm surprised I didn't see you at.", stretching and starting to pace around the roof some. "Ah, well if you've been hiding I guess that is why I didn't see you there, so nevermind." Looking out over the sand he took a deep breath and sighed with a smile. "Huh, you battled with Kraktus huh? I met that guy once. He was a strange one for sure. Carro I sort of met once, seemed a bit odd as well in a different way." His brow raised as he slowly turned around.

    "Huh, well I never pegged him for the type to go blowing stuff up like that. He mostly seemed a bit boring to be quite honest. Barely moved a step in the half hour we talked from the time he showed up. Guess you don't see the real side of people until a fight starts sometimes." Hale laughed a bit and flexed both of his arms at the mention of getting stronger again, then crossing his arms back once more. "Well I can't really say one way or another about all of that. I don't know how strong Chill is. I mean, I did meet the guy though believe it or not. Was by complete accident.", pointing towards what looked like nothing but sand in a direction behind Thaw. "Right out that way there is a Fleet base. I was testing how far I could leap from here and managed to land right on the roof of some building they were repairing and went right through the roof and there he was." His brow raised a bit surprised, looking right at Thaw. "You want to spar? I mean, I have no problem with it, but you made it sound like you haven't gotten a lot stronger with the way you keep complimenting my strength. Not that I'm saying no by any means."

    Both of his eyes narrowed a bit at Thaw's description of Kraktus, and he honestly wondered if they were talking about the same person. "Okay hold on. Kraktus as in the Fleet's General Kraktus right?" Holding his fingers in front of his mouth and wiggling them around. "Guy with the weird face tentacle things? You'd like a space squid almost?", crossing his arms and honestly confused. "Honestly he was either hiding it well or has changed a lot since I met him. He was the poster boy for calm and boring." His head tilted just a bit as Thaw switched subjects like a black belt in wordjutsu.

    Near instantly Hale started to laugh, holding up a hand. "Hold on hold on. First you tell me Kraktus, who seemed about as threatening as that pile off sand over there-", pointing in a random direction, "Is evil and some big bad monster. Then you tell me Chill, who came up to my waist and bye the way...", leaning over and whispering more for effect than anything, "...and is considerably weaker than I am, and I don't need to sense power levels to know that.", before leaning back up and speaking normally again, "Is someone I should be in any way worried about. Let's just say we had a little physical altercation as the fancy word people would say, and yet here I stand.", holding his arms out wide to his sides. "I have no idea what or who Bozo is. Chromo I have met, and, well I wouldn't call him much of a threat either to be quite blunt. He was annoying at best splitting off into all the other little bug versions of himself. I actually learned how to do that from him, well not on purpose of course, but it is where I got the idea to learn how.", tapping his fit a bit with a curious look to Thaw. "It feels like you are really out of the loop or something since you've been uh...I don't want to say dead cause you weren't, but not an Arcosian?" His eyes narrowed a bit and he gave a heavy shrug. "I have no idea what a Mumbo is or what a Stargoon is."

    His eyes grew wide as he talked about how strong this Mumbo was, and if he was stronger than Chill than he absolutely had to meet him. "How would I find this Mumbo? I kinda want to punch him. See how strong he really is.", grinning like a kid being told they were going to a theme park. He started laughing loudly at the insinuation of how many of them it would take to beat him as he crossed his arms again after waving Thaw off. "He would have to be really strong to accomplish that. I've gotten a lot stronger since the last time we met, and even more so since the last time we fought. I would have a hard time believing he could be that much stronger than me since perfecting Brute Form."

    Again Hale just started laughing, looking Thaw in the eyes to let him know he was serious. "You are really out of the loop ya know. I met Nashua and as strong as I am, she is considerably stronger. I met Ramen and while not a Saiyan she is probably as strong if not stronger than Nashua. Then there is the new crazy pirate queen chick I don't remember the name of that just about killed Vocado to take over the Saiyan Kingdom. I am pretty sure from what I have heard and seen that they could steam roll over the Fleet if they stopped bickering and just did it." He leaned back some as Thaw got close. "I mean, I can try to help. I'm not exactly what you would call a teacher. Oh, you really want to spar huh? Well, I might have to..." Thaw suddenly jumped back before Hale could finish and was already ready to fight. Giving a heavy shrug, he made a signal for Thaw to come at him and stood still, curious what exactly he was about to try and do. Thaw came rushing at him, Hale's eyes darting to the side as Thaw likely thought he was moving faster than Hale could react, but it really had been a long time since their previous fight, so a trick like that wasn't something that would get him so easily. Hale however kept his position, more curious than anything, and moved a bit as his head bent some before standing back up straight and looking towards Thaw. "What I was gonna say was maybe I should split myself so you can fight at a more even level. I'm not sure I can lower my power level otherwise." Rubbing his neck a bit he took a step back and held up a hand for Thaw not to move.

    Getting into what looked to be a horse stance, he began to struggle with something it looked like, before there were quite suddenly two Hales standing in front of Thaw as if they had always been there. It was so quick it likely would have been hard to spot, but each had half the power level Hale normally would have had. Speaking at exactly the same time giving a stereo effect, "One of us should be a bit easier to fight." The one of the right patting the one of the left. "I got this". The other looked rather disappointed but shrugged and walked off to the side and motioned towards Thaw. "Go right ahead I guess." The Hale left standing in front of Thaw began to bounce lightly on his toes and motioned again for Thaw to come at him.

    Bending over some as Thaw went down, he raised a brow towards him and put both his arms behind his back. The Hale to the side just smirked some before speaking up. "You should be careful with those things." The Hale in front of Thaw nodded in agreement and pointed over towards him. "He has a good point. They seem pretty dangerous." Slowly he leaned back up straight as Thaw stood up again, watching him and bringing his hands back in front of him. "Well, I've had quite a few fights since we last met. I'm no master of martial arts but I've seen a lot of amusing fighting styles. Learned a few tricks at least." Thaw was eager to land a blow, but he was also repeating something he had done many times with Hale their last fight. 


    Watching the blast come in towards him, he balled up his fist and punched into it, but leaned to his side letting his left leg slide back as if to make it look like it exploded closer to him than it had. Planting his foot his turned his hip further then bent at his left knee, causing him to lean back before completely turning around shifting his right leg around. By turning, the punch went over his shoulder and Hale grabbed onto it and bent over away from Thaw, using Thaw's punching momentum and Hale's strength to attempt judo throwing him to the ground.
