Oh, gosh darn it.
It was the wrong address. How was this possible? Bella knew that she had written it down correctly, but there was no way this bustling boutique was one of the places available. Fishing her notepad out of her back pocket, she flipped through the mostly filled pages. Recipes, field notes, phone numbers…ah there it was, the list of potential new HQs. This place was the first on her list and with a scan she realized her mistake, she hadn’t written it incorrectly, just read it that way. 2301 not 2103, well that made a bit of a difference now didn’t it?
Dressed in her white button down shirt and black pants, her typical outfit for any work in the field, Belladonna was doing work for justice. Sadly, unlike the criminals Koban was likely thwarting somewhere else; her task wasn’t exactly all that flashy. The end of the lease for the rented space that qualified as their “headquarters,” was coming up and she was determined to get them something better. This decision, all on her, wasn’t even something that the Captain had approved of. Instead she took the initiative because in light of recent events, she knew they were going to be active. Hopefully, if things went well, their ranks would grow as well and the new space would be useful.
Down the sidewalk she went, head tilted slightly to the side to read the numbers on the buildings as she went. Around her people went to and from their daily tidings, city life one that rarely slowed. Almost taking out an elderly woman when she craned her neck to check the next number, Bell apologized before she crossed the street to the next block.
Okay. There was 2291…2301 must be just down this way.
And 2295, 2297…bingo, 2301! Her excitement died as soon as she looked beyond the silver name plate that sported the structure’s number. To call it a structure was the overstatement of the century. While the freshly added number gleamed in the sunlight, the rest of the building was in disrepair. Two broken windows sat street side and the partially opened door suggested that it might already be occupied, by what sort of creature she wasn’t sure. Let’s not forget to mention the alleyway that stretched down between it and the next building, the dark crumbling stretch of broken street something straight out of a horror movie. Despite the bright sunshine that warmed the rest of the city, this place seemed dark and unwelcoming.
An audible click of her tongue voiced her disappointment.
”Well what the hell, why would they even list this one?!” She commented to herself with a slow shake of her head. The movement caused her thick, loosely tied hair to sway back and forth across her shoulders as if rustled by a strong wind. As her head came to a stop her eyes tilted downwards, through the list of properties. Koban’s fight for justice at times pushed her, tested her capabilities, but real estate was another beast altogether. It was no wonder he didn’t take to the streets in search of a sufficient home base, this was already annoying and she had just begun!
Lost in the extensive list of addresses that she had written down, Bella let the hustle and bustle of the city street fade away as she attempted to map out the best way to see them all. Although she stood in the middle of the sidewalk, she paid little attention to her surroundings as she let the task at hand distract her.

Misuji Mishima had never felt this tired before a show before, much less a date that was days away. The young man roamed the streets with a particularly tired expression, his already beady eyes drooping down groggily, as he struggled to just keep himself up. This was his first excursion to the rugged north as a professional, and while he wanted to approach it with the same wide-eyed enthusiasm as he did with every task he was given as a wrestler, the lad didn't seem to have it in him for once. The wear and tear of working a physically demanding job that forced one to be up and about at odd times, along with being a full-time student, was beginning to rag upon the Mini Mastiff.
All he really wanted to do at the moment was find a free spot to crash at, the one generously provided by this event's bookers, and take a long, hard nap for the foreseeable future. If possible, he didn't want to do anything even remotely close to taxing until he was done with his next match. Having an electronic housing card that essentially gave him limited, temporary access to any free apartment certainly helped with that goal. Bearing a terrible sense of direction, and perhaps even worse luck, meant that it would do little until he actually found a place to crash. Still, he had hope that his first pick for somewhere to lay his weary head would also be his last one.
"You have got to be kidding me." The lad was wrong. Not only was there someone already there, a young woman who seemed engrossed in an apartment hunt of her own, but 2301 looked like the final resting place of a couple forced into a violent demise by angry ghosts. With a sigh, the chubby teen seemed to hang his head and arms in defeat, looking at his own list with the poutiest of faces. He almost looked like a kid his age for a few moments there, as he ended up standing not too far away from the person in the area.

hand roamed his pockets as he looked around for the correct amount of zeni. The demon had decided to move out of his old cramed apartment. It was too close to where she had been. His thought still lingered with his meeting with Diana. She had been the former wife of Sasha, the man who's body he now owned. His hands clasped his face in regret. Why did he get what this man had not? He was dead and he was alive. He pondered how much would be different had they switched places. If his death would have been the catalyst to saving his life. Was it fate for one of them to die and the other to live? As of results of all these thoughts, he decided to just get out. Try and forget and live his life. What was done had been done. He could not change the past. He could only live in the future.
He'd grasp a piece of paper out of his pocket making sure to get the numbers in his head. He didn't want to mess it up and go to the wrong house. IT read 2301. This house seemed to been not wanted but it didn't matter to him. As long as he found somewhere else to live then, he was good. He paused as he saw two people standing in front of a house. They were separated so he assumed they didn't come in one group. Sesame paused watching from a distance to see what was going on. Were they about to buy the house he was here for? Maybe but he was not sure which house on the road was the house he wanted to buy. Then again he really didn't put much thought into how he'd pay for it? He didn't have a lot of money just lying around. A sheepish smile frown formed on his face. He was embarrassed, he forgot to even think of how he'd afford the house. Even if it was on the cheap side he had little money.
Sesame gulped as he began to walk towards the other two as he began to wave though he didn't make talk as he did so. His lips were shut tight without a single gap. He was wearing a t-shirt and some jeans. It was nothing that fancy but he didn't need to be. He'd stop in front of the house turning to look at it. A frown formed on his face. It was really not in the best of shape. Guess that was why it was cheaper then most.

Alright, so Second Street, Barbuncle Blvd and then over onto 5th Avenue…”
”Yahhh!”
The yelp of surprise came from Bella as she bumped right into someone for the second time in the last several minutes. Caught off guard, the building she currently stood in front of only added to the intensity of the outburst. Several blinks followed as she staggered back from the short fellow, but regardless of his shorter stature there was no mystery as to why he hadn’t moved when she slapped into him. Thick and muscular, the fellow actually stood a number of inches below her height, but what he lacked in height he made up for in density.
For an instant that flash of fear washed over her, the sensation you get when a stranger steps around a dark corner at night or when someone levels a menacing look at you. Again, it wasn’t really the man’s fault, for if he had bumped into her anywhere that wasn’t outside a potential murder house she likely wouldn’t have been so startled. Eyes on him she remained frozen until she noticed the list in his hand.
Phew! He must be apartment hunting as well. Thank goodness!
”So sorry about that, got a little lost in my list!” She apologized as her right hand rose to awkwardly scratch at the back of her head. With the sensation of impending doom now far way, she saw he looked younger as well. His presence here made even more sense now. This was the cheapest listing she had seen, although neither of them likely realized why. I guess rent was cheap when the place threatened to collapse on its occupants at any moment. Aware of her surroundings now she saw another man on his way over, his casual wave met by a smile and sad news.
”It looks like we were all drawn in, no? If you can help it I would suggest looking elsewhere, I am not sure how much longer this place will stay standing, not to mention the drafts!” She chuckled when they were both in ear shot. This place definitely wouldn’t do for the Pride Troopers headquarters and neither was it safe for an individual. Hopefully their list of potential homes was half as long as hers because stop number one was a dump.

Davis wondered, seeing ‘For Sale’ for buildings, judging the properties for price costs, benefits, and other expenses to see if it would be worth the cost of building another location here. He already decided to build in the South City and West… But the North City was a bit wary of due to the limited number of people in the North and other factors… Though, self-insulating suits sound like a good idea…
Davis actually started to ponder this idea as he walks, his suit not providing any warmth in the cold air. He could feel the air itself bite him and so he flared his aura around him to keep himself warm as he walked around. “I wonder if anything will happen today other than this… I hope so…” Davis muttered and turned, nearly ran into a woman.
“Oh! Sorry!” he called out, to her. Having a closer look, he saw the horns, beautiful red hair, and looked nice but not the look of. “Oh. A demon. Interesting.” he thought to himself and smiled slightly. “My apologies miss. I wasn’t paying attention. The work shirt doesn’t seem to uh keep out the cold, doesn’t it? A bit strange to be wearing that here… Though, my wear isn’t too much better.” Davis said, motioning to his business suit. He noticed the human that was super powered but ignored it since he wasn’t bothering anything or him.
He also noticed another demon and this one was wayyy more demon like… He’ll have to talk with Diana back at headquarters about it and see what happened 200 years ago isn’t happening again. His great-grandfather had to deal with them and Davis didn’t want the Earth to deal with them again.

"It's- no pun intended, whatsoever- cool, ma'am." He stifled a sigh, rubbing away at his chin with a free hand. "There ain't nothin' to apologize for." Misuji could only flash a weak, wearied smile at the woman, giving her a shaky thumbs up right afterwards. "Heck, the place gives me the creeps too." The boy yawned rather loudly, as he saw the two other people approach the scene, joining him and the skittish young woman. If he wasn't his normal self, the boy would have tried to reassure everyone in the most boisterous, overly excited manner possible.
That wasn't quite a put-on, given how rapidly thumping energy was practically engrained into his mortal coil, but it did play up the cheerier aspects of his personality. Still, he preferred that persona over the overly serious, bone-breaking, spine-busting goon that he had played in the ring. It was a fun role to embody as well, but not one that was useful in most social situations (which he was admittedly already quite awkward at in general).
"I guess I'm minced meat." He managed to josh at least once, as a tiny grin popped up on his portly face, raising a brow at the man clad in business attire. It seemed that Misuji Mishima, of all people, was the only one really prepared to deal with the chilly weather that had made this corner of the world so famous. A jacket was worn over an already quite thick hoodie, with track pants and boots to help him trudge along in this condition. "Hey, maybe we can all walk together for awhile?" He suggested, stopping himself from giving out another roaring yawn. "I mean, if we're all lookin' for a place to crash at, two heads might be a tad better than one." He pointed out with a giggle. Was- Misuji Mishima feeling lonely for once? "And last I checked, four is just a teensy, tiny bit higher up the ladder than two."

Sesame paused as he arrived starting at the demon women before him. She had small horns but other than that she looked human. He'd bowed his head to them as pulled out a piece of paper and pencil to write down on. He heard another voice of someone who seemed to be joining them. He said a couple of things he ignored mostly. He turned looking at the other man. they did seem to be talking about finding a place to live? He'd turn his head to the rickety old house. It was most likely not the best place to be living in. The Demon paused weighting his options. He could try and buy this place or go with them. The choice was pretty clear as he took a clear look at the house. It was not the best place to be living.
He'd walk towards the group that seemed to be forming. He'd began to write on the piece of paper scribbling down the notes as he got ready to ask them there names. He'd step up close enough so all three of them could see him and what he was writing, "I cannot speak. I am Sasha I am glad to meet you all." He'd smile motioning to his neck to explain why he could not speak. He made the cut motion the stopped as lifted the paper flipping it. He was going to write something else but he was not sure what to write just yet.

”Yeah, it’s creepy for sure.” She agreed with one last glance to the haunting structure. Bella could have sworn she saw something pass by one of the windows just then, eyes slightly widened before she looked back to the burly man. His grin helped to lighten the mood. Of course that was shattered when a fancily dressed fellow nearly ran into her as he rounded the corner.
Oh my god! She needed to get away from this place, it was making her far too jumpy.
Hand to her chest in reaction to the near collision. Really, she wasn’t this spookable most of the time; this place just filled her with uneasy vibes. Thankfully, as a third joined them, the comment about her clothes provided a new focus. With a quick glance down she realized that yes, compared to them her outfit was a little lacking, especially in the sleeve department. However, with half of her blood of demonic origin, she tended to run warm and honestly hadn’t even noticed a chill in the air.
”Uhh, I actually thought it was pretty nice out today. I guess some of us just run different temps, nice suit though!” She responded with a small chuckle. ” And that sounds like a wonderful idea. I wouldn’t mind some company. There are a number of places I plan to check still, but if half of them are as spooky as this place I would definitely welcome the company.” She added with a slightly nervous smile. A friendly girl, she was as trusting as she was open. Unsure of whom these men were she figured it better to be with them than go headquarters hunting alone.
When the last fellow to reach their growing group held out a paper her brow lifted as she took a look. The words made her heart sink. Noticeable on his neck was a vicious looking scar and it was a wonder that he had survived such a horrific injury even if it cost him his voice. Never one to let negativity get the better of her, she kept a smile upon her face.
”Pleasure to meet yah, Sasha. I am Belladonna, but please Bella is just fine. Ridiculous that my mother would give me such a long name, right?” A roll of her eyes accompanied the introduction. It was a pretty name, she liked it, but try having to write that down thousands of times through grade school, blah! ”You out and about to see what the city has to offer as well?” She asked, not having missed that he was ready to respond with written word on the clean side of his paper. She figured the others would introduce themselves as well, no reason to ask for names.

Davis listened and looked at the house, narrowing his eyes. “I’ll help you guys out with finding a house and uh… Are you sure you guys planning on staying here? That sounds like a dumb idea. Like… Really dumb. I mean, I plan to expand my business here in this town, and even I wouldn’t pay 10,000 Zeni for it. It’s too… Off-putting.”
Davis said, looking away from the house and smiling. “Thanks for the compliment. And sorry for that. Nice to meet you Sansho.” Davis said, bowing slightly to him and studied the decrepit house more. It looks bad, like really bad. Why anyone would pay something for this heap of garbage is beyond him but hey, people could refurbish it.
Though he was now a bit curious about the reason why she was interested in this house specifically and he did laugh at her talking about her long name. “I got a long name as well. So we're sorta in the same boat. And for me, Nah. I got my own place in West City. But thank you for the offer though. I hope to be of some help in any way.” Davis said, now flaring his ki around him as much as he could to keep himself warm, which was working at the moment.
“Well, I hope this bite goes away… Or we should talk in a more warm environment.” the human suggested, motioning to the different shops down the way. “The would still be here and it’d allow us to talk in a more comfortable place. Though, is just my suggestion.”

"Oh..." Was the male demon mute? Misuji Mishima couldn't be completely certain, and he didn't think it would be very polite to ask. Thankfully, his quiet concern was quickly answered by a quick scribble showcased to all three of them. The lad visibly cringed at the gesture that succeeded the flash card, but tried his best not to showcase his worried surprise, as he instead continued to grin pretty cheekily at the other three. He wondered just how Sasha functioned, how difficult it must have been to sustained such a grievous injury. Being the loud-mouth that he was, Misuji couldn't completely imagine a world where his vocal cords were literally sliced into two, equally useless halves. As much as that would help his public image as a bruiser and bully, the lad enjoyed his ability to sing victory chants off-key too much to consider that route.
Thankfully, aside from that unpleasant implication from the more monstrous demon, the rest of the conversation flowed onwards in a pretty cordial and casual manner. He wasn't always great at understanding the complex process that was conversing with strangers, but the lad had a pretty decent idea of what was going on at the moment. He didn't even need to retreat into his own skull to process anything that had been said, beyond quietly noting both demons' names in his mental notebook. With another weakened grin, as the rest of his form was still ravaged by fatigue, the lad chimed in as well.
"It's good to meet ya Sasha. And you too Belladona, or Bella, I guess." He raised a brow at the woman's explanation, chuckling a little. His own first name didn't quite present the same problem, as he could break it down into three distinct syllables, but even he knew how annoying it was to fill out the same thing over and over again. Ever since he'd taken up the mantle of the Mini Mastiff, he'd had to jot down every single excruciating detail of his ring name and attached catchphrases. If he didn't, the boy's agent (read: his Aunt Rosu) would have thrown a fit.
"The name's Misuji, and talk about runnin' on different temperatures. I'm bundled up this much, and I still feel like an ice chest in the makin'." He sighed, but seemed affable enough as he grinned. "So, I guess we're all goin' in the same direction." He raised a brow at the man in formal attire, realizing that the politician had no intention of lobbing in his own name into the mix. So like the personified freight train that he was, Mishima trudged forwards with a gleeful grin, however faint it was. The talk of money and business flew over the lad's bleached blonde hair, as he took another swift glance at his own list. "I won't be stayin' here long, and besides, I don't mind rough places like these."

He'd bow his head as Bella introduced herself. She asked him if he was out looking for a place to live. He'd nod his head. He wanted to get away from his old place but this didn't seem to be that right place. The Place to be away from all that was going on. He closed his eyes for a moment imagining the place was not a wreck. He'd open them back up looking at the three them. He listened to the chatter though he was not fully invested in what they had to be saying. He was only here for the ride. Maybe they find a good place or maybe he'd find something to help him along the way. He was not really sure at the moment.
He'd nod to Davis as he made his suggestion they should head to somewhere it was colder. Sesame didn't care either way. He used to the warm sure but the cold didn't bother him much either. Standing around though maybe was not going to get much done as they wanted. The Human Misuji didn't seem to mind either. He also didn't seem to mind how damaged the place was. He'd turn to Misuji and began to write down. He'd flip the paper towards him trying to move him to look at it. "The house is pretty messed up to fix it up would cost a lot of money." it'd state as he flipped the paper back around to write down some more words. "So what are checking out next." He'd written down moving around so the three of them could see.

”It is nice to meet you all.” With the pleasantries out of the way, save a name for the suited man, she wanted to get going. In regards to who he was, she was just fine if he didn’t want to give a name. Maybe it just slipped his mind or if he preferred to keep it to himself there was no harm in that. She wasn’t a pushy girl.
”Hah, well I don’t really get cold and you don’t mind rough places, we are all different, right?” She conceded as Misuji began to move. With another glance to her list as the people began to move she commented on fancy suit’s suggestion.
”If you want to get out of the cold be my guest, but I have to continue on though. This place I am looking for isn’t just for me. The rest of the Pride Troopers need a new space and the spot we are in now is killing us when it comes to rent.” She partially explained, speaking as if they knew much more about her situation than they did. A fan of her groups work she often assumed others knew the name. After all, the word of justice was spreading. At least if you asked her.
Moving down the street with them, she looked over as Sasha held out his paper again. Ah yes, what place was next.
”Well personally I have a place on Second Street next on my list, I think that is the closet place I found listed. We could check that out?” Bella suggested. Again, she didn’t know these men, but the idea of company made her day all the better. A people person, her motto was almost always the more the merrier. Heck, if she could help them find a place with her nicely organized list of properties even better! The PT was always at work even if it was just in house hunting!
No worries!

I need to leave this thread, sorrry. I'm over the limit at the moment, and need to take off a tick to get back to five. The holographic tablet in the young man's coat pocket began to ring incessantly, earning a raised brow and a teensy pout from Misuji. "Hang on, sorry about that. I need to take this." The wrestler heaved in a heavy breath, as he raised a limp hand and flashed his current traveling companions a thumbs-up. He dashed on over to other side of sidewalk, turning around a corner and leaning against a wall, ending up just out of sight of the others' potentially prying gaze. Thankfully for anyone wanting to eavesdrop, the young man wasn't quite out of mind just yet, as his husky voice could be heard even from their considerable distance. Misuji Mishima truly sounded like the angry, barking dog that he played on the stage known as professional wrestling, even if the only words that really escaped his constantly bruised lips were fairly polite (if downright freezing cold) variations of the phrases: "I understand." and "Thank you."
He emerged from the street with a pout, looking fairly annoyed as he pocketed the now visibly cracked device. "Some plans changed. Significantly." He said with a sigh, looking around with a growing frown. Misuji Mishima seemed upset, angry even, but those negative emotions weren't pointed at the rest of the pack. The only thing that was apparent was his disappoint at not being able to ride along with everyone else, especially considering how it was his suggestion to walk together. "I need to head somewhere, but I'll see you all soon, I hope." He wished with a weak smile, before turning around. "Take care." He bade them farewell, raising a fist in place of a wave.

In this cold, Davis wasn’t having too much fun and decided to take the idea of the nice lady and just head off. And so, the other human seemed to need to go. Quite a strange one, Davis thought, but no matter. “I thank you for your time, all of you. I’ll be seeing you. As much as I liked to stay and help, I need to get back to work. Buying vacant for my business isn’t gonna do itself… Oh yes, almost forgot! The names Davis.”
He was really sad, he was being honest. He stopped when heard ‘Pride Troopers’ and immediately racked his brain for information. “Wait, before I leave. You said, Pride Troopers… Is that correct or did I mishear you?” Davis asked, and waited for her to respond, and if she responded with “no”, then he’d nod and leave.
If she said yes, Davis would reach into his pocket and pull out a business card, handing it to her. “I love the work you guys do. I heard good things and wished to help. No, I’m not gonna ask to join. I’d like to, but you guys are probably getting bugged about it so I won’t bother. But I’d like to have a chat with you guys about somethings.”
Bussiness card
“If I can, I’d help fund you guys a little. I do have a little too much Zeni in my opinion.” Davis said with a laugh. “And yes, that is my full name on the card. Well, that’s all I have. Thank you Mr. Sasha and Ms. Belladonna for your time.” Davis finished with, having a slight bow, and heading to a nearby shop.
He pulled out his phone and opened up a list of numbers, giving calls and asking about prices as he walked to somewhere else to warm up.

One of the Humans, the younger looking one seemed to have to get a call. He'd held his ears trying not to overhear his conversation. With his hearings powers, he may have accidentally heard what was being said privately. He still heard though not the phone call itself just the words that escaped his lips. He didn't say anything he just turned to the others. The Other human came back and explained he had to go. Sesame raised his hand and waved off as he left. He'd begin to follow the other two but it seemed the other man was needing to leaving as well. He'd nod his head to him as well. He'd pull out a business card and hand it to her. Seems he was some sort of business owner. He'd walk off as Sesame turned to Bell.
He'd nod to her as she said they should check out a house on second street. He didn't see the reason why not. He didn't have much better to do with his time. He'd grasp the paper in his hand and began to write down, "Yes let's check it out. Two is always better than one." It'd state as he follows looking at all the people passing by. They all seemed so happy. Not a care in the world. A frown formed on his face. He wished he could be more like them. Just enjoy the simple things in life.
