The water licked at Synthesia's legs, the current beating at the wooden poles he used to stabilize himself. He listened closely for any signs that someone was approaching his position, and quickly got his answer as the redheaded demon slammed into him, dislodging himself from the position that he had been safely nestled into. It was at times like these where he cursed his inability to fly.
He thrashed his altered limbs around, trying in vain to lodge it into another point. However, the force of the impact was just too much for the natural child, and his dainty form went tumbling towards the waterfall. Knowing that a fall was probably inevitable for him to prevent, his arms quickly morphed back into their natural state. He didn't want to harm himself or the woman sending him over the falls, after all. The actions were in Bella's hands now, though, as Synthesia could do little more to stop their watery descent.

Finding Synthesia was easy, as it turned out, as Mal kicked and swam toward the other tunnel. Spotting them in the distance, she picked up speed and then realized she picked up even more speed. It seemed there was a current.
Great, just great. Coming up for air she spotted Date floating out above and Bella with Synthesia going over the edge ahead. Kicking of a rock she just went for it, diving head first off the side of the waterfall, and realizing with a jolt this water was very much not deep! As her head approached the rocks, a blast of Ki from her hand slowed her descent enough that the resulting crash didn’t kill or disable her. “So, I’m not so sure we’re alone in here…” she said, spotting the first skeleton and a set of eerie, glowing eyes in the distance.
Sorry for the skip, Katz, feel free to hop back in whenever you want. Just wanted to keep things moving.

Her haste might have broken her free of the strong current, but the resulting collision was an unexpected aftereffect. Bella slammed right into Synthesia and the forward momentum took the pair over the edge of the waterfall. Twisted awkwardly in the air as she tangled with the branch child, she caught a glimpse of what awaited them below. Instead of some deep pool or raging river, the water that tumbled over the ledge fell to splatter amongst a collection of unpleasant looking boulders. From there it seeped and spread towards what might be an exit. The latter was not her focus though, the demon fully aware the pair of them wouldn’t flow so easily over that collection of rocks.
”Ahhh!” Came the short cry as the two began to drop. Preferring not to dash her head against the stones nor do the same to poor Synthesia, Bella activated the energy within her to halt her descent halfway down. At the same time her right hand clutched the boys left ankle and as awkward as the jarring halt might have been, she figured he preferred being upside down over being smeared down below. ”Uhh…sorry about that.” She apologized as she carefully lowered them the rest of the way down.
She set down closer to where Mal ended up, taking the time to allow Synthesia to drop to his feet beforehand. Soaked, but thankfully with her borrowed shirt, she let out a groan. This little adventure grew more dangerous by the minute. At least the worst of it was over. That was when she saw the glow in the darkness before them. Always rather spookable despite her natural strength, she jumped at the sight.
”What the heck is that?”

The first 2 coming out were Synthesia and Bella, Bella relying on Syn for a moment before come to a stop on the ground. Afterwards, Mal came next, diving over the waterfall and using a ki blast to stop her descent into the rocky pool below. Date remained attentive to the waterfall for Tori to show up, but he did call down below, "What did you guys find? Is it the exit?"
Bella's shriek called Date to fly down low enough to see what was going on. It seemed they stumbled upon something's nest, rather than the exit! Date groaned, before stating to one of them, "Someone keep an eye for the boy. He's yet to come out of the waterfall for some reason..."
Date got on the ground in front of everyone as he approached the glowing eyes, still sopping wet. He was hunched over, the ki orb in hand as he stood only feet from the entrance, unable to tell what these creatures were. However, his adrenaline was pumping, excitement for a fight to blow some steam present! His teeth were bared with a smile forming on his face. An audible and animalistic growl, similar to a large cat's like lion, came from the saiyan as he stood in front of the entrance. His energy had excitement riddled in it!

Synthesia wailed once more. Two falls in one day was more than what the natural boy could handle. He shut his eyes tightly, awaiting for the inevitable end at the bottom of the tunnel. He waited, and waited, and waited some more before he realized that he was fine. He opened his eyes and bent upwards, noticing that the redhead had caught him by the ankle. In the knick of time, as well. The tips of Synthesia's lustrous hair was already touching the moist boulders below. He let out a breath that he didn't realize he had been holding.
He let out a mumbled 'thank you' to the demon while he righted himself and got to his feet. He stared ahead and noticed that in his panic he hadn't noticed that two of his other companions had already made their way down here. His eyebrows furrowed. He supposed if they could get down one drop, another wouldn't be much of an issue.
It took him a moment to catch up to what was catching the attention of the rest of the group. The glowing eyes in the dark were less than appealing for the natural child. He considered himself fairly well-versed in animals, but what kind of animal sat in a dark cave and ate people!? Furthermore, whatever it was, the saiyan was heading to fight it! In a cave! Synthesia didn't know exactly what a cave-in would do to the forest above them, but it surely couldn't be anything good.
He cleared his throat. He got on all fours and quickly scampered behind the mercenary. "H-Hey, try not to blow up the cave with those light ball things of yours, yeah?" He spoke in a hushed, quiet whisper. Despite this, the dainty fingers he possessed hardened into sharp slabs of bark.
Just in case.

Almost as soon as she noticed it, Bella and Date did, too. Synthesia took a little longer, screaming and screaming until he finally realized he wasn’t going to die...again. So far, he hadn’t slowed them down, so she didn’t mind the screaming except for the echo it provided. Watching Date approach the eyes, her own widened as another set flickered to life a bit to the right of the first. Her right, not theirs...whatever. “Maybe we could lure them outside to fight…” she said quietly, having the same fears as Synthesia, that a fight in the cave could be hazardous to their health and to the mountain above them.
And as if that were some sort of cue, several more pairs of eyes appeared, circling them. Pulling out her energy gun, Mal bit her bottom lip, turning around. “Alright, guess they don’t like that option…” whatever ‘they’ were. The sound of giant wings flapping sounded in the distance as one finally swooped into the light, and swoop was, indeed, a good word for it. The giant bat flew right at Dante like it knew he wanted the fight most. But Mal had a feeling there would be plenty for everybody.

Everyone safe and sound, Bella’s focus shifted fully to the creatures that closed in on them. Slightly unnerved by the haunting glow of their eyes, her natural reaction was to cringe back and even tuck in behind someone much like Synthesia. However, her status as a Pride Trooper demanded more from her. What would Koban do, WWKD right?
She knew the answer. Date though stepped forward first, seemingly unafraid of whatever it was that looked to get its hands on them…err, claws? In all fairness they were the intruders here. Through chance and misadventure the lot of them found themselves deep enough in the mountain to disturb these things. Was it really justified to hurt them as a result?
”Try not to hurt them too much.” She added to Mal’s suggestion of taking any fighting outside. Non-violent by nature, she didn’t feel it was right to serious injure or kill when it could be prevented. Sure, if their lives were at stake that was different, but from what she could tell of her companions they were not weaklings and pummeling these creatures was well within their wheelhouse. About to motion that they try to edge around the beasts, one swooped in for Date.
Without a word the demon’s aura surged to life around her. Full power unleashed she leapt into the air to intercept the winged animal and tackled it aside. A short distance away they both hit and rolled before Bella was able to get a knee back under her and square off with her chosen target. The rest were left to the others.

Syn got up behind Date, saying to not blow up the cave with his explosive energy. They were surrounded by more of the large creatures, Date getting an idea of what they were: Enormous bats, and from the look of them, they were partly humanoid! Date lunged out at the beastie who was lunging at him with his ki orb, but before Date could connect it to the creature's chest, Belladonna sped by in a red blur! They rolled away from the main group, just their outlines visible in the dark.
"... Well alright then," Date muttered aloud, his attention quickly turned to a smaller, friskier bat creature flying at him. Date grabbed it by the ankle, the creature flying upwards in panic. However, he was keeping it anchored to the ground, shooting the ki orb to its head! The attack wasn't strong, but it certainly knocked the creature out!
Date released it, letting it flop before another came from the other side and baring its claws into Date's back! He yelped as he was shoved into the ground, the creature's claws having managed to snag his tail in the process. The Mercenary growled weakly, swinging his arm back at it, "Piss off, you overgrown rodent..!"
The elbow strike hit a joint on the creature, dislocating it and causing it to shriek painfully as it flew up from the ground, unknowingly releasing Date and his tail! He turned around and fired another bright yellow ki blast, this one being lethal. It exploded onto the creature's chest, killing it upon impact and making a fire on the ground. At least now, they could see bit more of the environment they were in. The fire had revealed there was a stream leading down another tunnel, which was pitch black. Date, however, was more into the fight they'd found themselves in!
Hopefully so! For now, the order's Syn, Mal, Bella, and then myself, Katz jumping in whenever he can!

Much to Synthesia's surprise, one of the bats made a beeline towards him the second that it left the cave. His target, he supposed. He scampered backwards quickly, putting up both of his arms which were now encapsuled by hard bark. The bat-like creature clawed and pecked at the wood, Synthesia backing up as it's advances worsened. "H-Hey there, little guy- He raised his arms to block a claw. "I'm, y'know, a friend, I don't taste good..." Another hand was lifted to parry a strike. "Actually, maybe I do... uh, please stop?" When the expected response came, Synthesia sighed.
As the next claw came forward, instead of blocking, Synthesia grabbed it. The bat, in shock, began to flap it's wings. It was no use, however, as Synthesia spun it around and slammed it against a nearby stalagmite, before grabbing it once more, tossing it on the ground, and stepping on it's head. He hoped he'd just knocked it out. He bore no ill-will to these things, after all.
Though that was subject to change, because the irritable child was quickly growing frustrated. Another one flew out of the mob to attack him, his neck being swiftly grabbed by Synthesia. He lifted the thing by it's neck, and smashed it into his buddy who'd attacked beside them. Both of them were sent flying backwards, where Synthesia followed up with a fist to both of their heads.
Just as he was dusting off his hands, he was blindsided by one, who's claws caught on his shoulder, tearing his skin and the white fabric of his robe. A green-like substance flew out of Synthesia's arm, and he looked at it with more annoyance than anything. He couldn't feel pain, so what was left was the bat, with whom Synthesia entered hand to hand combat with.
"J-Just how many of these things are there!?"

As Bella tackled the giant bat man creature flying toward Date, more swooped in to play. More accurately, they came down to attack, and Mal couldn’t really blame them, she supposed. With Bella and the first creature off in the distance, she brought up her gun and fire a basic Ki Blast, the purple lightning arcing through the air and stunning a bat. It dropped from mid flight but it’d live. Mal, too, felt like killing them wasn’t entirely necessary.
When Synthesia slammed on against a stalagmite, she didn’t have time to berate him for it or worry about it, she had her own foes to worry about. Another bat grabbed her by the shoulder, claws digging in and she punched up right into its side. It let out some awful sounding cry and dropped her. Rolling as she hit the ground, she dropped it with another shot from her blaster. Mal ducked when yet another of the creatures came at her, narrowly avoiding it trying to pick her up again. Bella’s statement of not hurting them too much was just as sound as Synthesia’s question: How many were there?
“Maybe if we move out of the cave they won’t want to follow too far from home?” The suggestion sounded weak, even to her, but it just might work. Especially if the bat things thought they were too much work to make a meal out of.

Off to the side of the trio, Bella squared off with the creature she tackled. For a moment, as she held her ground on one knee, the beast seemed to hesitate. Whether it was less confident now that it no longer had a drop on its target or that it stalled to assess its new target, the red head was unsure. However, after that long pause it lunged at her again. Wings flapping to try and take to the air, Bella did not hesitate to grip its ankle and slam it right back to the ground. A painful shriek emanated from the creature, but hopefully it was not the result of a permanent injury.
Prepared to rush back to her companions and towards the tunnel that led out of the cavern, she never got the chance. With a cry of her own, the Demon’s feet left the ground as a set of taloned toes dug into her hair. Ripped upwards and into the air, her immediate concern was the state of her well-groomed hair over anything else. The way it tumbled down her shoulders took time and the dip in the water combined with her full weight being supported by the strands left them in complete disarray. A glance up to the bat responsible for the ruination of her dew, the beast received a glare before a Ki blast struck it square in the face.
The duo dropped like a rock, but thankfully it released her as they fell. Boots clacked against stone and with a minor stumble, Bella got her feet under her.
”I agree. Let’s get the hell out of here.”[/color] Aggravated slightly, she pointed to the river that led them in and how it continued down another lightless tunnel. With one last look to the others she ran and dove in headfirst. Unsure where it led or how long it might be, the water was a place the flying monsters likely would not follow. With any luck the others would, even if she did not know where she was about to lead them.

Syn's trembling, peace wanting voice caught Date's ears, followed by the scramble of his fight. Mal and Bella, too, were fighting quite a bit. Date rushed towards Syn's location, leaping on one of the bat creatures that jumped him with a solid pin needle kick to their back! It didn't kill, but it certainly knocked it out. He ambushed the bat creature Syn was fighting from behind by leaping on its back and slamming his fists on both sides of its head, knocking the creature out.
All three of them seemed intent to leave the area, but Date was intent on fighting. Yet, the sound of splashing water caught Date's attention! He cursed inaudibly, firing a scatter shot of basic energy to the ceiling above the bats. It certainly didn't collapse the, but what it did was knock down several stalactites to fall on top of them. He turned to Syn, aiming to pick him up by the waist with one arm and uttering, "Time to go, then!"
Whether Syn went in with him or not, Date would be leaping into the water and speed up with his ki underwater. He caught up to Bella quickly. Date nodded to her before looking up above them. It appeared that the bats were following them. They already riled them up, so they were in fight mode! A couple dipped their claws swiftly in the water, trying to pick up Date and Bella individually. The Mercenary, however, shot a couple of ki blasts at them, stopping the two. They flew away from the water, gasping and barely keeping above the water! Meanwhile, the others were diving into the water at Mal and Syn! He'd then poke Belladonna and direct her attention upwards, as if to suggest, 'They're following us!'
Date was, at this time, also thinking, "The kid must've gotten lost along the way! Damn..."

"Hey, wai-" Synthesia's protests fell on deaf ears as he was once again grabbed by the waist. Did these people not trust him? He was strong, right? He didn't need to be carried anywhere at all. He'd be just fine on his own. At least, that's what he thought, but he wasn't making any effort to struggle from Date's grasp.
Taking the time he didn't need to spend to run, he looked backwards instead, and was the first to notice the swarm of bats following them. "Wait, wait, we're not losing them, they-" Once again, he was cut off, but this time it was because his mouth filled with water. As Date propelled them forwards at a pace far beyond what Synthesia was comfortable with, Synthesia desperately tried to wipe the water away from his mouth and eyes so he could see where the bats were.
As it turns out, the second he finally got the water out of the way, he had a bat directly in front of him to deal with. He sighed inwardly. No point in telling them now. Better just deal with it. Synthesia's arms split into roots once more, this time, wrapping themselves around the bodies of the bats. Once they got a hold of one of them, they'd dunk the bat in the water and toss it to the side. Synthesia figured that with the water absorbed into their wings, they wouldn't be able to fly, and the group could probably lose them.
It wasn't really like there was many other options, anyways. He hoped that one of his new friends here could come up with something, and come up with something fast.

Another of the foul creatures, this one actually stank, swooped at her and she grabbed it by a wing and swung it around. When she let go, it did that awful shriek and went careening. It smashed into the waterfall before flapping a bit heavily and limping more than anything else found its way to the side. She assumed it went to nurse its wounds, both physical and emotional. At the sound of a splash, Mal frowned and spotted her fallen, glowing rock on the ground. The flapping of wings was the only warning she had and Mal barely rolled out of the way just in time as two more bats passed over her head. Grabbing the rock, she dove into the river, noting Date had done the same with Synthesia in tow. While the plant guy didn’t seem overly thrilled by the new turn of events, they were at least trying something rather than nothing. And Mal couldn’t blame the guy, either, if she kept getting picked up and carried places, she might get cranky, too. At least with her gun back in place and the rock in hand, Mal flicked on her scouter’s flashlight again and turned onto her back. Kicking out, she swept the light up and over the bats that screeched and veered left and right to avoid the beam. " They really don’t like the light," that was something, and some even began retreating as Mal and company sped off with the river unknowingly aiding their escape. She really hoped that Katz kid was alright...

The first of the quartet to splash into the water, Bella shot ahead. A glance over her shoulder saw multiple bodies dropping into the river behind her. Thankful they chose to follow and ultimately leave the nasty creatures alone, so she took the initiative to propel herself forward. Blissfully unaware of the bat that nearly scooped her right out of the water; she aimed to shoot headlong into the tunnel before them. As far as she knew, bats weren’t great swimmers and holding their breath likely out of the question.
A yard or so before the water disappeared into darkness; her sloppy red hair broke the surface followed by the rest of her head. ”Take a deep breath and follow me!” She shouted back for the others to hear. Mal’s lighting helped illuminate the start of the tunnel, but beyond that she saw nothing. Confident the water needed to escape the mountain somewhere; she didn’t hesitate as she slipped back beneath the surface. In the lead for now she wanted to see them out and although she wasn’t sure where this might lead, she figured it best for her to be in the front should they encounter any surprises. Better to endanger herself in place of any of them.
Arms stretched to the side she followed the natural created channel, finger tips occasionally brushing against smooth stone. Above her the water reached the ceiling and left no room to break the surface for an addition breath. Lips sealed tight she increased her speed…and it continued to increase. Soon her fingers made constant contact with the walls around her and she realized what had changed. The tunnel had begun to grow narrower and with the same amount of water still coursing ahead, the strength of the current increased. Where in the world where they about to be deposited?
