Another Case of Saiyan Pride [Invite]

"Ha! Ha! Yaaah!" On the outskirts of the Saiyan village, a young warrior named Nesu was locked in intense training, his armor leaning up against a nearby tree. Kicking up a log the size of his arm from a pile of wood, he would blast it out of the sky once it reached the maximum potential height from its flight. He had worked all the way up to half a dozen logs when he noticed a tiny bunny-like Zoanthrope enter town. He stopped blasting the ascended logs when he noticed this, the last one falling down towards him. Without looking away from the stranger, he caught the log in one hand before tossing it back onto the pile.

As he did so, two Saiyans approached the bunny, an intent to hurt present in their gait. Nesu sighed in annoyance, wiping his sweat on a nearby towel before picking up his battle armor. "Son of a..." He approached, standing next to the Zoanthrope and looking the Saiyans in the eye. Their look immediately changed to one of wariness.

"N-Nesu!" One of them choked out, looking as though he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Nodding his head towards the village, the young Saiyan warrior spoke to the two other Saiyans.

"Go on home." His tail twitched slightly, as if he was anticipating battle. No battle would come, however. At least not yet. Nesu had ascended to be one of the strongest in his village. These boys knew that, so they wouldn't tangle with him. Not yet anyway.

"Right..." The other one muttered, the two walking back towards the village with their tails literally between their legs. Nesu watched the two until they were out of sight before turning to the stranger who entered their village.

"You must be a long way from home, little guy." He slipped his battle armor on and crossed his arms. "A lot of the Saiyans here sniff out weakness like a hound sniffs out a rabbit." He didn't miss a beat after that very obvious joke. "So, then, why exactly are you here? Saiya Villa isn't exactly a tourist destination."

Lu Rose first of my Turbo posts yayayay

Nesu blinked at the spunk shown by the little bunny girl. Perhaps he didn't need to help her at all. Reaching out with his sixth sense and feeling her power, she seemed quite strong. Stronger than the men that threatened her, that was for sure. 'Heh. Guess she didn't really need my help.' The Saiyan warrior thought, amused. The bunny before him didn't seem to register what he had said to the Saiyans that threatened her, laughing at them running away before turning towards him in surprise once he spoke. She stated that he was tall and likely strong, to which Nesu smirked with pride. "Yeah, i'm strong. Really strong. In fact, i'm the absolute strongest fighter in this entire village."

While he might have believed that, it was a little bit of an overstatement. A few of the older adults still ad powers greater than his own. Even though that was the case, Nesu's pride and his need to be strong overshadowed many truths for him. The bunny mentioned a principal, asking Nesu if he was stronger than her. Then she drew a toy sword, seemingly one she made herself, and began to swing it around. As the little bunny girl challenged the muscular Saiyan to a battle, Nesu couldn't help but notice that she completely ignored his question. No matter. It wasn't like the reason she was here was all that important anyway.

The quickness at which she challenged him was a little surprising though. The young warrior had not even finished processing the entirety of what Lu had said in his mind. They didn't even exchange introductions, not that Nesu particularly cared about that. It was just his understanding that people were generally in the habit of exchanging introductions before much else transpired. 'What an interesting little creature.' Nesu thought to himself as he watched Lu march away, instructing the Saiyan to follow. He simply stared for awhile, considering whether or not to actually follow her.

Luckily for her, Nesu wasn't one to turn down a good fight, and this bunny was strong enough to at least provide a decent distraction for now. He was aiming to get some good training in after all. An excited grin soon spread across his face. Oh yes, he would accept her challenge. He was thirsty for a fun battle. "Alright then, little one. I'll humor you." Nesu mumbled to himself, casually walking to catch up with his soon-to-be opponent. As they walked side by side, Nesu looked down at Lu and introduced himself. "I'm Nesu." It was a simple introduction. Really all that was required in his view.

"Lu Rose, then." Nesu crossed his arms and awaited the start of their battle once they arrived at the chosen location of their battle. The Saiyan took a moment to examine his surroundings. They were in the open, grassy fields outside of his village. The entire space was wide open; a double edged sword in terms of combat. It would be difficult for Lu to escape him, but at the same time, it would be difficult for him to escape her. In that sense, it was something of a wash. Looking back towards his soon to be opponent, he gave her a brief nod. "This will work fine." He looked down at the little bunny.

If he didn't have the ability to sense ki, he might have underestimated her... no, he definitely would have underestimated her. Her tiny stature and bubbly personality were great weapons in their own right. While someone unable to sense energy might take Nesu seriously, it was unlikely they would take Lu as such... barring the chance that they saw her fight before. Nesu knew better with his skillset. 'It just goes to show that you shouldn't underestimate anyone.' The warrior thought to himself, filing that lesson away for later. When Lu shouted for them to begin getting serious, Nesu gave her another nod.

"Yes, let's get--" Suddenly, the bunny's pink aura erupted around her, her power suddenly doubling! This took Nesu aback for a moment, his eyes widening and his mouth hanging agape. She was practically as strong as he was now! 'To think she was hiding this much power...!' Nesu growled briefly and shut his hanging mouth, narrowing his eyes at his opponent. 'I really can't play around, then. I guess that's fine.' Wasting no time, Nesu took up his battle stance, spreading his stance so that his feet where fairly far apart, raising his arms and holding his left fist down in front of his chest and his right fist in front of his face, each about a foot and a half away.

This was a very basic stance, but it wasn't like they were fighting to the death, so he figured he could start with something that simple. Funny enough, the bunny took up her wooden blade to face him. Nesu couldn't help but smirk with amusement. She really wasn't taking this fight seriously. It appeared that this whole situation was almost like a game to her. When Lu indicated that their battle was going to begin, the Saiyan warrior wasted no time in making his first move. He kicked off of the ground, flying towards his opponent with all of his speed. He stopped short about six feet away from Lu, however.

He wasn't stupid enough to go for a frontal assault. Instead, he shot our quick ki blasts into the ground, creating a few small craters and kicking up dirt and dust to obscure his opponent's vision, flying above Lu's head and onto the ground behind her, unloading a series of ki blasts towards her back this time. The purpose of this was two fold. He wanted to see if Lu could sense energy as well. He didn't think so, as his opponent seemed unsure about his power when they first met. This tactic was still a useful one, however, even if his suspicion was incorrect.
