Algere's PL: 8,000
It had been in Fukurou Forest where he had met his first Guardian of Earth. If he recalled correctly, it had been a Namekian by the name of Chime. Due to the arrival of a fleet officer named Bozo, their initial introduction hadn’t exactly gone as Algere might have liked. He had returned to the area a few different times to scout around and had eventually come across an ancient looking floating structure just to the south of the forest.
After having attended to some personal matters and gotten a general idea of where the Fleet stood, Algere wanted to begin the expectedly rocky talks of peace with the forces of Earth. From his own experience, their defenders could be quite vicious. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he remembered his wife who had first stood against him as his enemy.
Alighting on the Lookout, Algere drew up his cape around himself, not really sure what sort of greeting to expect. Arcosians hadn’t been looked upon with great fondness in his day, and he didn’t think that had changed greatly in the intervening years. Still, he would be damned if he didn’t at least attempt. Once negotiations were settled, he could begin planning his next steps, even if he weren’t sure of them at the moment. Clearing his throat, he took a few steps toward the building at the center of the Lookout.
“Excuse me? Is there anyone home? I’d like to have a chat if at all possible.”
Algere didn’t relish the thought of the answer to his call being a blow to the face, but he had to put forth the initial branch of peace as it were. He wasn’t sure how many knew of his recent promotion to Director in the Fleet. He would have to take care with how he presented and explained himself to those present.
Yogu hadn't visited the Lookout at all since he visited Nashi a few weeks back. He'd probably be there all the time, trying to meet that Chime guy. But every time he stopped by, the Kami was either somewhere else or was inside the building on the Lookout. Yogu didn't exactly know what the Kami would do in that building, but he assumed it was something really important and god-y, so he would just leave. But this time, things would be different! He'd meet Kami for sure this time! Also, stop by and say hi to Nashi, but one hundred percent meet Kami first! Yogu's plan was perfect, he'd go up onto the lookout... And then something would happen! He didn't really figure out how he was going to get an audience with the grand and mysterious Guardian of the Earth, but he could figure it out when the time comes!
Yogu arrives at the base of Nashi's Tower and looks up it, remembering the time Nashi had him climb it. At least there wasn't any climbing rules with getting to the Lookout! Yogu kicks off the ground and then soars up, going straight towards the heavenly structure! "Oooooh, man oh man oh man! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GONNA MEET THE KAMI!" Yogu lands right on the edge of the lookout, and almost falls back into the air, it takes a lot of throwing his arms around and screaming, but he corrects himself and starts walking, straight ahead to the building. He sees a figure standing near the palace-like building at the center of the lookout. "Oh, is that Kami? Guess I came here at just the right time! He doesn't seem to be doing anything other than standing around." As Yogu gets closer, he starts to get a lot more suspicious of the figure.
Firstly, Kami wouldn't be asking to have a chat with whoever's in the palace. Also, this guy didn't match Nashi's description of Kami at all! And there were a few more things that made him suspicious. One, he had a cape. Who wears capes? And he had that pompous air about him that made you just want to punch him in his smug face. Were all Arcosians just this annoying to look at? "Nah. There is Mr. Ledinjin, he seemed pretty cool. I haven't seen that guy in like, a year. I wonder what he's been up to? A-Anyways, this guy... He's Trade Fleet for sure... There is that tiiiiny chance I might be wrong though, so maybe attacking immediately isn't a good idea for once." Yogu puts his hands in his pockets and tries to look cool and intimidating, the sunglasses hopefully helped quite a bit. "Yeah. I'm home. Who are you and what the hell do you want with Kami?" OOC: Gogurt makes an unexpected appearance!
Perhaps that was too sudden, let me rephrase: Nashi was minding his own business in preparing to ask Chime to try to heal his century or millennia-old senzu bean (which he was making far bigger a deal than it really should have been), looking over his white bonsai book to try to figure out early if such a thing was possible. Unfortunately, the book did not specify that ‘beans buried in soil for centuries may/may not be healed with mystical, Namekian healing magicks’, so there wasn’t much point to that. Oh, and then some dude showed up on the Lookout.
Nashi peered out of the little house-shaped house-thing that was always roughly in the middle of the Lookout for some reason. He stepped out. This seemed important, and Nashi was hoping he could muster enough seriousness to not bring this to silliness before Chime got there and handled it properly. Then again, Yogu was here, so— WAIT, Yo is here?! It made sense. He’d want to come up again, as the last time Yogu was here Chime was not.
”He didn’t actually say he wanted to speak with Kami, Yo, but even so,” corrected Nashi, ”hopefully the Senbyō will do. Also I think I guess I speak on his behalf a bit, until he gets here?” IF he gets here.”Not entirely sure how that works, but, hi.” His eyes would narrow on the alien. He wasn’t sure if this was a Hale-like Arcosian, a Ledinjin-like Arcosian, or one of those evil money space fascist Arcosians. Or, maybe it wasn’t an Arcosian at all, but a lizard zoanthrope? Prolly the last one.
”I’m Nashi, the Senbyō of Earth.” And since there was only, as far as he knew, one Senbyō (in practice and in position), didn’t that make him the Senbyō of the Universe? Don’t answer that. ”What’s up? And who are you?”
Cobalt was tending to the small garden atop the Lookout when he heard some commotion. It was not a very busy day, and well, Cobalt was nearing the end of his butler-ing duties, so he decided to drop by and tend to the visitors. He throws on his robe and wanders on over to the colorful meet and greet. "Good morning, everyone." Cobalt announces as he approaches. "How is today faring you all?" Cobalt nods towards Nashi and Yogu, before smiling towards Algere. "Oh? You are looking for the Kami? I think he might be in his study, but I am not too sure. I'm Cobalt, co-attendant, butler, and Senbyō in training." Cobalt says, holding his arms behind his back.
The Kami was, in fact, in his study, but he wasn't studying. He had been for a long while, all through the night, pouring over books on magic, but at some point he'd slumped over his desk, asleep. He slept soundly until a commotion from outside woke him, and he shot upright with an undignified snuffling sound and a piece of notebook paper stuck to his face. What in the world was going on outside? It sounded like a lot of voices, some he recognized, and others he did not. So Chime materialized a new, unwrinkled set of clothes onto himself to look presentable and head outside to meet whoever was there.
Nashi and Cobalt were here, along with some human boy (a student of Nashi's if he had to guess, the Senbyo had been taking on a few of those lately), and...an Arcosian. Chime stood there peering at him for a moment. He looked awfully familiar, but he couldn't...Oh! He remembered now! The one that had crashed in the woods, when he met Bozo! An agent of the World Trade Fleet, if his memory was correct. Chime set his mouth into a line as he put on his serious face and stepped forward.
"Thanks, guys," He nodded to everyone present before turning to their Arcosian visitor, "But I've got this now. You're...Algere, right? You're with the Fleet? People usually come up here looking for help, or advice...is that what you're after? Or...?" He let the question hang unfinished and simply watched the old Arcosian, on guard and a bit tense, unsure of what he would do next. The Kami arrives, fashionably late, as you do.

The first to greet Algere was not the Guardian of Earth but some human. An impressively powerful human to be sure, but a human nonetheless and not the Namekian that he wanted to speak with. He was immediately petulant and seemed more than a little hostile. What would… what was the best approach for these youngsters? He was so much better at dealing with adults. He had half a mind to put him over his knee but supposed that wouldn’t go over very well. His tail flicked both with irritation and helplessly.
Thankfully, someone intervened on his behalf. One of the other residents of the Lookout he supposed. It still wasn’t the Guardian of Earth. Another one appeared within seconds of the last, making Algere rub his temples. He was growing more and more lost on how to deal with these people. He had never been good at being informal or dealing with most of the native inhabitants of Earth. While he was very skilled at decorum, he lacked when it came to more informal social skills. A fault of his upbringing he supposed. His old responses would go over so poorly, that much he knew. He couldn’t act pompous when he was here to ask for a favor.
In an act of mercy, the Guardian of Earth or Kami finally appeared. If he remembered correctly, his name was Chime. It seemed he remembered him. Good, that would speed things along a bit.
“Yes, Lord Algere, though I suppose Algere is just fine. Chime, correct? I wasn’t with the Fleet when we met, but I suppose I am now. I’ve been made a Director. I suppose my reasons for coming here are two-fold.”
Algere held up a finger.
“The first is to propose… or rather inform you that my interests lie with the protection of Earth. Should there be a threat from the Fleet, I would ask you let me deal with it. It may be easier for me to deal with it than for all of you and, hopefully, with less bloodshed. I am not your enemy.”
He held up a second finger.
“The second… well…”
Where he had been careful not to let his emotions show before, Algere’s face now grew grim as a worried frown creased his features. His thoughts turned to the one thing that he had left in this world that he truly treasured. He would do anything if it meant that… Algere shook his head to clear it. He would beg if it meant that Chime would help him.
“I’ve heard that some Namekians are healers… If you are one then… I need your help.”
