Walking. It was something Jin didn't like to do. At least, not this much. He was much more used to crawling through tunnels or climbing down steep drops rather than stomping his bare feet into the hard stone ground beneath him. He never had to think about being outside of the small tunnels before. What exactly was outside of his home? He just assumed it was a large tunnel with a big fire up towards the top, maybe placed there by a massive saiba-creature. All that Jin knew was that there was definitely a big fire up towards the top. Because it felt like he was slowly being cooked. Like he was a piece of Saiba-meat being held just above the source of this heat. His skin itched, but whenever he scratched it felt incredibly painful. And his skin radiated enough heat that he was almost sure he could cook some meat just by placing it on his skin. Jin wasn't sure just how much more of this he could take. He felt like he'd keel over and die any second now- "Ah...?" Jin notices something a little far off, which was strange, considering the fact he was as blind as a bat. A mass of different flames. That meant that things were alive. Outside of the caves. This had to mean there were things out there other than saiba-creatures that live on the planet! What could they be...? "...Ah!" Jin gave it some thought, thinking about whether or not they could be like those strange creatures he encountered at the cave, or if they're different. He stands there in his usual silence, standing at the top of a hill overlooking the Cacumber Capital.
For the people down in the Cacumber Capital, it was as average as a day could get. Well, that is until the blind man walked into the Capital. He had been wandering the streets for about an hour and a half at this point. No one tried to stop him, they all just looked on in awe as he cautiously moved through the city streets, occasionally bumping into a wall, or kicking over a bucket. He was adorned in only a patchwork of saiba-leather clothing, and his eyes were a solid milky white. Jin was afraid. He had no idea what these creatures were doing, but he didn't feel threatened and none of them attacked him the second he entered their strange nest. His stomach let out a loud grumbling, and his throat was dryer than the desert he just stumbled his way through. He needed food and water, fast. But he couldn't tell where any of that stuff was, and he didn't want to kill and eat any of the flames there. That would probably make the rest of them quite angry. Then, there was that incessant noise. The cacophony of hundreds of feet stomping and the shouting of hundreds of strange voices nearly made his ears bleed. Then, a smell caught his nose. Food. It had to be!
He follows the scent like a dog and once he thinks he's found the source he reaches his hand out. He touches something burning hot, with a thick layer of grease. An extra loud voice that made no sense to Jin shouted right into his ear. "Hello, friend! Care for some of this meat? It comes straight from Earth! Some delicious meat called Beef!" Jin didn't know it, but that voice belonged to a dirty homeless man, selling strange meat and cups of dirty water on the side of the street, in front of an alleyway. "...Ah." Jin is met with silence for a few seconds. "What? Listen, it's only a little bit of Zeni for the meat, and the cup of water's free. You gonna pay up or not?" Jin feels around on the table for a few moments, he spills several cups of dirty water before grabbing a cup. He then picks up the food with his other hand. "THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? GIMME MY MONEY!" Jin gets scared by all the shouting and decides to turn and walk away, the food and water still in hand. He turns back to see the flame moving, coming towards him at quite a fast speed. Jin breaks out into a sprint, hoping he doesn't run into a wall. He hears from behind him, "SOMEONE STOP THAT MAN!"

OOC: Jin's first thread! And it starts with him stealing food and water from a homeless street vendor. What a way to begin.
