|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
After Pankaa had finally become settled and began to recover, Nero thought it was about time that he at least took one or two shifts at one of his workplaces— one nearby, of course. Just in case he needed to get back home quickly. In this scenario, since his neighbors wouldn’t be back until later today since they too had work and other commitments; Nero needed to hire a babysitter, at least for a few hours.
So, the question was; who could he get in contact with? His first choices were his neighbors and they were busy. Most co-workers that also had multiple jobs were all busy also. That left one last option; someone that Nero knew did babysitting jobs sometimes. A young man that did part time work at the post office for Dokkan Deliveries; a fellow Saiyan by the name of Russé, if Nero recalled correctly.
After his morning routine, helping Pankaa out a little bit and having breakfast, Nero was ready to explain what was going on for today. “Hey, Pankaa, I gotta talk to you.” He said, focusing on the little Avali. “I have to do something important today— and the nice people that live around here are all at work. I need to call a friend from work to come here to look after you for a little while. He’s really cool and fun, he’s a Saiyan also.” Nero added with a smile. “I’m going to call him and wait until he gets here to introduce you to each other first and tell him how things work, okay?”
With that, Nero went over to his phone and called Russé’s number. “Hey, Russé. It’s Nero— we work together at Dokkan Deliveries. Do you have a few hours of free time? I know you do some babysitting work on the side. I’ve gotta go to work and there’s this kid I’m looking after. He’s an awesome lil guy, you’ll like him.” He said, looking over to Pankaa with a big wholesome smile. “I’m really proud of him. So, reckon you could come down to my place and help? You remember where my apartment is, right?”

Pankaa's PL: 1,000
Pankaa didn't really understand why Nero had to leave his home at certain times on specific days, but he did which left the little Avali to be put with someone else to watch him until Nero got back, it was so silly! Maybe it was a game Nero hadn't told him about, it was a very long game though and happened all the time throughout the weeks, maybe his friend just really liked to play it! Was he going somewhere fun whenever he left? The young boy wanted to come too! But he couldn't, maybe there was a surprise being set up, if he'd come it'd ruin the surprise and he couldn't let that happen! If he knew it wouldn't be a surprise anymore and that would be a big shame. Today was a bit different though, when it was time for Nero to head out again he took a bit more time today and didn't usher Pankaa to one of the neighbouring rooms this time. Confused, and not wanting to miss the next episode of a cartoon one of Nero's neighbours has gotten him onto watching whenever they looked after him, Pankaa would jump and point at the door before tilting his head sideways while looking up at the Saiyan. " Tea Bee?" He'd ask, but Nero helped him out with having breakfast and such instead. Did Nero know about TB? He didn't seem to have one in his tent- Pankaa would look to Nero again after hearing his new name be said. While he was still learning to understand things, he did understand that one. Sitting up to listen to Nero as he explained that he had to go do something important, and that their neighbours were all at work, whatever that was. Apparently the Saiyan was going to call another Saiyan to come watch him, a friend at that too, the Avali put a claw to his mouth for a moment before slowly nodding to Nero to say he understood what was being told to him. " Ummn.. Okay!" The young boy would smile and fluff his feathers out excitedly, eager to meet this friend of Nero's. He also wasn't too sure what a 'Saiyan' was but he figured it had something to do with how Nero had a funny looking tail, maybe this friend did too? Or was it something to do with the fur on Nero's head? While his friend called Russe, Pankaa tore away at the breakfast Nero had gotten for him, Pankaa still hadn't gotten used to the whole knives, forks and spoons thing yet and tended to alternate between trying to use them and just using his little hands instead. Watching Nero all the while Pankaa found himself being curious about the little cube-like thing Nero was talking to, tilting his head again as the Saiyan looked over at him and smile. The smile changed the Avali's tone though and he'd smile back, dropping whatever breakfast he still had in his hands before jumping up and down on the spot while letting off excited chirps and cheeps. While the little one didn't understand in full what was going on, he knew that Nero's smile meant something good and he said he was proud of Pankaa too, and that made the young Avali happy! " Wussy!" He'd exclaim with as much excitement as his bounces, trying to repeat the name Nero had said on the phone, but the "R" was instead a "W" and the ending was changed in general out of his eagerness.

Russé PL: 1,800
Russé thought today is a good day to sleep in, his body agrees with his desire to rest after reuniting with his two acquaintances recently, may as well call them friends at this point, the trio has fun chemistry together and he couldn't be more happier. In truth hanging out with them wasn't the reason his body needed to recharge, its being called in for work doing odd jobs for Dokkan Deliveries. While Its nice to be able to earn money for the family household, sometimes a guy need a day off to rejuvenate. Ringing.. Russe's ringtone opened his eyes but didn't faze him out of bed, perhaps if he let the phone continue to ring the company would give up and find another person available. Ringing.. The young saiyan switched positions so his back is facing the wall, an annoying expression is staring at the wall before closing his eyes again. Ringing.. He couldn't take it anymore, a groan can be heard as he sat up from the bed, he got up dragging his feet on the floor to pick up the phone to examine the caller ID, speak of the devil. He pressed the green button to answer "Hello?" he murmured, its obvious he is barely awake. The voice on the other end of the line somehow made him fully conscience when his phone failed to do so, Nero's familiarity with the young lad played a big role. "Yeah I know where it is, I'll look after him no problem, I'm pretty good with kids, what time you want me to be there?" he searched for some clothes to wear, phone hanging between his head and shoulder.

“Hmm? Oh, the TV?” Nero quirked a brow, but remembered that one of his neighbors said that Pankaa really liked a cartoon that he saw a few times! Nero kind of regretted not having a TV of his own, but that was how he chose to live his life... Although, when he got his old scouter updated weeks ago; he actually now had some manner of access to what was on TV in the form of a 3D projection deal. “Don’t worry buddy. I have an idea.” He said, smiling at Pankaa.
Pankaa understood the importance of communication; this was a great source of pride and endearment for Nero. It was as the Saiyan thought— despite not being properly taken care of for a while, Pankaa was receptive to positivity and change; he still had his wits about him. All good signs!
It took a little while for Russé to pick up the phone, but Nero was glad he did. Maybe it was a bit too early for the other Saiyan, but he was the only one Nero could think of for the job right now. “Hey dude, good morning! Sorry about the short notice. I have decent amount of time before work; I took everything into account. Just get here as soon as you can and I’ll run you through some stuff. Sound good?” Nero overheard Pankaa’s excitement, and noted something important to mention. “He has a lot of energy, too. So be sure to keep up with him. I’ll see you soon.”
Nero waited for Russé to respond before hanging up and turning to Pankaa. “Alright Pankaa, finish your breakfast and tell me when you are done. I’ll be over here setting something special up.” Nero pointed over his shoulder towards the main living area. So, while Russé was on his way and Pankaa was hopefully finishing his food, Nero made a little projector setup using his refurbished scouter where he set it to pick up TV signals. Testing if it actually fully worked would have to come later though.

Due to having not only one set of large ears, but two, Pankaa found that he could kind of hear what was going on, on the other end of the box thing Nero was talking to, although he couldn't quite understand what exactly was being said. Scrunching up his face and blowing a raspberry for a moment, the young Avali then followed this up by making little cheep and chirp noises in a similar fashion to the conversion the other two were having, but not in a mocking manner, maybe he was trying to learn more tones? "Pipipipipipi!"
Pankaa would nod and clap his tiny clawed hands together when Nero asked if he was meaning the TV. Of course he meant TV! That was what he said! Nero followed this up by saying he had an idea, but an idea wasn't what Pankaa meant, he meant TV! An idea wasn't another way to say TV, was it? "Chee?" He'd raise a claw to his mouth and tilt his head a little, but the Saiyan smiled so whatever it was, it must still be a good thing and the Avali trusted that, plus he said to not worry and called him his buddy, so as his buddy he would have to wait and see what Nero did. "Baa!" The kid sure had gotten a fair bit more talkative, so to speak, since the day Nero first found him, and while 'baa' wasn't exactly the most obvious of words, it did let Nero know that Pankaa understood him... For the most part.
When told to finish his breakfast and to mention when he was done, the young Avali seemed to become more curious as to what Nero was going to get up to, he knew what special meant, but what was the special thing? Allowing the Saiyan to go ahead and set up the special thing, Pankaa thankfully did as he was asked to and started to dig into his breakfast, trying not to go too fast like Nero had taught him early on. He didn't need to scoff it, he would be fed again, he trusted that in his new friend. Trying to make as little of a mess as he possibly could, but still not quite achieving spotless, the Avali eventually did finish his breakfast, fluffing up his feathers afterwards as he let off a sort of cooing noise, like a happy pigeon. He was full and it was a nice feeling, the coo was to help Nero know he enjoyed and was grateful for the breakfast that was made for him.
Now finished, Pankaa steadily clambered his way off the table and chairs and then waddled over to the living area Nero had went to, going to stand behind the nearest bit of furniture he could reach before peeping around it in case the special thing was a surprise he wasn't supposed to know about. To let Nero know he was there and that he had finished his breakfast, Pankaa would let off a soft tweet-like noise while retracing himself back to hide more behind the furniture, he tended to do this same action when being the seeker for hide and seek too, maybe that was the special thing Nero mentioned, a game of hide and seek!

Russé PL: 1,800 "I'll be there in twenty minutes" the phone hung up from the other end, being on the clock the half saiyan slipped on a pair of of boots and headed for the bathroom to brush his teeth and shortly gargled his mouth and spit out the morning breath bacteria down the sink drain. Next he went into the kitchen to grab a banana and a battle of milk, there isn't enough time to cook a breakfast meal, this will have to do. He ate his food and drank his milk in a very short time then head out the entrance of the house, locked the door behind him and took off flying towards his job assignment. Russé landed a fair distance away from Nero's place, he approached the door and rang the doorbell, while he waited outside lingering thoughts surfaced about the kid he is babysitting, from what he is told the little dude has a lot of energy, suggesting he will be a handful, the half saiyan doesn't mind at all, being with kids will alway's make his day interesting.

|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
“I don’t know if you can hear him, but he’s near me right now.” Nero explained to Russé while noting Pankaa’s honest attempts to try and repeat words to himself— odds are he was trying to learn how to pronounce things properly, kids did this a lot from what Nero had already known as well as recently researched. “Awesome, I’ll see you then.” Nero hung up after Russé and continued his business.
Pankaa was understandably curious as to what Nero was doing in the main room, but he was a good boy and went to finish breakfast first, excellent! The little one made a few chirps to signal that he was done. It only took a few more moments for Nero to get everything done for later, so he set aside his handiwork and looked back over to the kitchen, only just seeing Pankaa peek around the corner. In hindsight twenty minutes would be long enough to show Pankaa what he was making. “Oh, Pankaa, I’m done with what I was making. After I finish washing the dishes, you can come over and I’ll show you.” Nero explained, walking back over to the kitchen to do as he said he would. Passing Pankaa, he gave the little one a bright smile.
“You can watch me do the dishes again if you want to.” That being said, washing just a few things was a snap. It didn’t even take Nero ten minutes, he was a pro at this by now considering the jobs he had and the skills he gained from them. With that all done, Nero returned to the living room, and waited for Pankaa so that he could show off his latest creation until Russé arrived. As far as Pankaa knew, it made the TV stuff appear without a TV! Now how amazing was that?!
The other Saiyan indeed arrived, and right on time as he had promised. Nero went to the front door when the doorbell rang, and went to greet Russé promptly. “Eyyyyy dude, come in, come in. We gotta keep this place cool.” He motioned for Russé to enter, while also making sure Pankaa was still inside before he closed the door. “Pankaa, come over and say hello.”

Pankaa's ears spiked up when Nero said he'd be able to see the surprise soon, and when the Saiyan came back over while shooting the Avali a smile, Pankaa would follow after after Nero with some surprisingly springy steps, almost like he was trying to hop around like a rabbit. Maybe he'd seen one on TV and was trying to copy it? He seemed to slip over and whack his little chin against the floor in trying though, but he simply let off a disgruntled cheep and then got back to his feet and started doing it again to follow Nero back into the kitchen. Even the mention of washing the dishes didn't seem to dent Pankaa's eager bounds either, in fact when Nero started, the young Avali would try to get onto the counter top near the sink, and after a few leaps and attempts at "fluttering" his baby feathered wings, he did eventually manage to. Once up there he would laugh and sit on one side of the drying rack, leaning over to try and hit his little hands against the water in the sink Nero was trying to clean up in. Clearly in the way of Nero's work but having fun nonetheless. He still didn't like water when it was in his mouth, but it was funny to make splashes with!
Eventually it was all cleaned up though and Nero was heading back to the living room, Pankaa half considered leaping off the counter and sliding across the floor with his wet hands like he had done a few days back but thought better of it since the last time he did it, it had gotten him in trouble and Nero had to clean up the mess it made since it was very slippery afterwards, which was explained to him rather sternly that this was bad because people could slip and hurt themselves on it! Pankaa didn't want Nero to slip and be hurt, so instead, the Avali would reach and grab one of the hand towels Nero had by the sink, using it to dry himself off before he fluffed his feathers and carefully got down from the counter top. Following after the Saiyan, Pankaa soon saw what Nero had set up in the living room, it was the TV! But it was different! The Avali's eyes shined in both excitement and curiosity. There was no exact screen yet, it was still a TV? How did Nero do that? Was he magical? Did he steal the TV screen and put it in his loungeroom? But there was no glass... Pankaa would reach up to try and grab the screen but found he couldn't and when he stepped in front of the projection he found that the moving images soon were on him! The young Avali would dash back to Nero and hide behind his leg, looking down to see the image had left him and was back in the living room again. Phew! He pointed at the projection and looked up at Nero looking a bit worried "Aaaa? TB was on me! I was the TB!"
Letting go of Nero's leg though, his ears went back up again at hearing the doorbell and as Nero headed to the door, the young boy would slowly follow after him. Whoever was at the door was greeted kindly by Nero though so it couldn't be anyone bad right? Pankaa held onto Nero again, standing inbetween the Saiyan's legs as he peered to take a look out the door before it was closed shortly after the other Saiyan entered, he still found himself growing increasingly more curious about what else could be outside of Nero's apartment, but didn't get to see much before it was closed off again. Looking up to the new Saiyan though soon enough, Nero said to say hello but Pankaa seemed to shy away behind the Saiyan's leg instead, flattening his four ears back as he peeked up at Russe from behind Nero. He really was an odd kid when it came to meeting people, either he was bouncing off the walls ready to greet them or he was shy and hid away, it probably had something to do with still getting used to other people after how Nero found him. Either way he held onto Nero's leg and made a soft somewhat distressed sounding pigeon cooing noise. Maybe he just needed a little push?

Russé PL: 1,800
The blue haired saiyan took a step backwards allowing Nero to open the door, In a short amount of time Russé allowed his body to obey the other sayian, stepping inside their home. Naturally the young man would gauge his surroundings,a small glimpse his eyes absorbed from inside is the living room with a hologram TV projection, before any question can be formed, he is directed to meet the young lad he is assigned to babysit. Russé looked down spotting an orange bird-like creature of unknown origin, the mere sight of them caused a bunch of question marks to appear around his head. "This is Pankaa?" he hunched over, hands holding on knees to get a closer look at him. He realized the little alien is shy around his presence, he is alot bigger than him after all, he can understand why he would feel unease. "Don't be shy little guy I wont bite, names Russé" curving a smile, he sat on one knee to match Pankaa's height, extending a hand as a friendly gesture.

|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
Nero noticed the bouncing Pankaa had been doing recently. It made sense, there was a bunny thing in the cartoon he liked, and Nero was pretty sure that was one of Pankaa’s favorite characters. “Careful bud.” He said, pausing for Pankaa when he fell over, just to make sure the kid was okay. All the while, Nero just enjoyed doing the dishes, and he was more than capable of working around Pankaa’s little splashing game.
Appreciative of Pankaa’s good behavior (specifically in that he remembered to dry his hands), Nero smiled. “Very good, Pankaa, remember to always dry your hands.” He reassured, just so that Pankaa knew exactly what Nero was referring to. Seeing the little Avali become so unabashedly excited and inquisitive about what Nero had made, empowered the Saiyan’s sense of pride; it hadn’t been all that long and Pankaa was recovering faster than was expected. He was acting like a normal kid now, and to Nero, that was beyond rewarding. For the moment, he let the Avali child examine the projector setup so that he could try and learn on his own without guidance— to then return to Nero and ask questions if he was confused.
Understandably, Pankaa was kind of shocked. Nero’s tone remained calm and clear so that he could show Pankaa that there was nothing to worry about. “It’s okay, the TV was not on you, and you were not the TV Follow me, I will explain.” He began, motioning to Pankaa that Nero wanted to pick him up. Either way, Nero would go over to the projector. “This is a new thing. It is called a projector. The TV is basically inside here.” Nero continued, pointing to the main section that produced the marvelous miracle! “A projector can use light to shine images out, so that people can see them. Think of it like a lamp that makes a picture! I made this by linking the TV programming signals to it, so that even without a TV screen you can still watch your show. You just have to sit over here on the couch, and not get in the way of the light or else you won’t see your show properly. Do you have any questions?” There could be time to answer a few of those, even after Russé arrived.
When it came time to properly greet Russé, it seemed that Pankaa was quite shy this time around. Nero didn’t blame him, but the Saiyan wanted to be encouraging too. “Hey Pankaa, its okay. Russé is a friend.” Nero smiled at Pankaa before looking over to Russé. “Just give him a moment, I want him to try and be confident in his own actions before I step in.”

When Nero said for him to be careful after the avali took a bit of a fall, he would nod his head briefly but he was quick to just get back up again and start hopping all over again. The Saiyan seemed to simply work around Pankaa's play but the little one didn't really understand that he was in the way, he thought Nero was trying to play with the sink water too! The avali smiled again when he was rewarded with kind words for drying his hands, fluffing out his chest a little in pride shortly afterwards to himself. He wouldn't know about the pride Nero had over Pankaa's recovery but that Saiyan pride was surely starting to rub off a little.
After his freak out over the TV, Nero came over to try and explain it, when the saiyan motioned that he wanted to pick Pankaa up, the avali came over and reached up for him to make the picking up easier. Now picked up and by the projector again, Nero began to explain it to the young boy, who paid close attention to what the Saiyan had to say. He was very young still but Avali were known for being rather advanced technology wise. Nero's explanation was simple and easy to understand as well and Pankaa would let out a light coo of a noise that sounded almost like an "Ooh" most humans would make when they finally understood something. The Saiyan would finish by asking if he had any questions, but Pankaa would simply look at him for a moment before then gently pressing his forehead against the underside of Nero's chin, flattening his ears back as he did while letting out a gentle laugh. Maybe it was his way of saying thank you for the explanation?
Back on the ground and meeting the new Saiyan at the door, Pankaa would almost latch onto the back of Nero's leg as he hid, but both of the other boys would encourage him to not be so shy and to greet Russe. He'd look up as Nero smiled at him after explaining that this other Saiyan was a friend, before then looking to this friend as he hunched down to get a closer look. The way Russe spoke was soft and friendly, like how Nero spoke and he offered a matching smile as well. Nero wanted him to try and be confident on his own and Pankaa wanted to make him proud...
When Russe held his hand out, the Avali would detach himself from Nero's leg and slowly came out from behind the tall Saiyan, approaching the second one carefully. Coming close enough to him, Pankaa would look down at his extended hand, then back up at Russe before then smiling and giving the other boy's much larger hand a hi-five, thinking that was what Russe held it out for. He'd then point at his own fluffy chest, looking up at the saiyan before saying; "Pankaa!" Since Russe had mentioned his own name. Becoming excited all of a sudden over this new friend, the Avali began to bounce up and down on the spot, looking between the two saiyan's and pointing at the door while letting off rapid repeated chirps in his excitement "Out? Outside?" He'd ask before stopping his bounces for a moment to claw at his bottom right ear, only to attempt sitting on it after he stopped, probably to try and subdue a bad itch.

Russé PL: 1,800
He nodded to Nero before stepping back some to give the little guy some space while still holding a hand out, it seems to have worked as the orange creature slapped its tiny hand upon Russé's hand receiving a hi-five and returned the favor with his name. "Nice to meet ya Pankaa, I'll be looking after you today" the half saiyan retaining his easy-going smile, it developed into a grin watching the younger lad bounce around for joy, no wonder Nero warned him about his energy and he sure has a lot of it alright, this will be a fun day for sure! He turned to Nero for some instructions on how to best handle this little one, "Is there anything about Pankaa I should know?, does he have any allergies? What does he eat or drink? When does he go to the bathroom?" he asked.

|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
“Easy does it. No need to rush.” Nero further encouraged Pankaa in being safe, both in avoiding falling over and dealing with recovering properly in those instances. Feeling good for doing things correctly and safely was important. Nero knew for a fact that positive reinforcement of good behavior was key in a child’s development.
Surprisingly, Pankaa understood Nero’s explanation of the projection setup. He had expected some manner of confusion like the youngster had shown for a lot of things so far. This was good progress though. It meant that in this case Pankaa still had that Avali ‘aptitude’ for technology that Nero had heard about. Was it actually strangely genetic? Like a Saiyan’s sense of pride? Nero easily had cause to believe this was true since he had baby cousins that almost immediately showed signs of that particular Saiyan quirk developing, even in early infancy. “Oh? So you understand it? Great!” Nero chuckled, giving Pankaa a quick little hug before setting him down on the floor.
Greeting Russé suddenly became a piece of cake for the little Avali, with a burst of confidence he gave the other Saiyan a strong high five! Admittedly Nero was hoping Pankaa would go for a handshake but this was fine. “See, what’d I tell you, lots of energy.” Which was further exemplified in Pankaa’s exuberant desire to go outside. Funnily enough, Nero had an answer for that and he would explain that shortly. “Ooh, thank you for reminding me, I have something else for you Pankaa. I’ll bring it before I go. Also, we have to let Russé come in properly, so let’s go to the couch, how does that sound?” Nero asked, smiling to Pankaa, motioning for the Avali to follow him.
Nero nodded to the other Saiyan, motioning his head towards the living room before trying to get everyone to the couch by taking the lead. “Yeah Russé, I’ll explain everything shortly, we should go sit down and talk properly though, yeah?”

As Nero gave Pankaa a hug after he understood the projector screen, the avali would lean into it, trying his best to put his little arms around Nero, but he was too small to hug him fully back. The hug ended a bit quickly though which made Pankaa reach his hands back up for Nero after being set back down again, but hugs couldn't last forever and Nero had places to be soon too!
When Russe said he'd be looking after Pankaa today, the avali would give a surprised look, his mouth forming the shape of an 'o', he'd then look to Nero for clarification, softly patting his hands together a few times. The two Saiyans then spoke for a little bit as Russe asked Nero some questions about the avali child. Pankaa didn't know what an allergies was but he sort of knew what the other questions were and scrunched up his nose lightly at that they were being asked. He was a big boy, he could do those himself! Or at least, he thought so, truth was everything here was usually far too tall for him to reach without some form of help or without him needing to climb something to reach it. He was still a very young boy but he didn't always want to admit that and his age and species size didn't exactly help his case.
Nero soon pointed out to him that he had something else for him which made the avali hop on the spot and shake his little hands in excitement "Okay okay!!!" He'd follow after Nero when the Saiyan gave the motion for him to, making his way over to the couch, with a quick pitter patter of his little feet, the Avali would zoom ahead of the two other boys, fluffing up his feathers as he went, he didn't exactly stop in time though and ended up running into and bumping into the couch. This only effected him for a couple of seconds though, as he simply got back up again after having plopped down from the small crash and began to climb up the couch, looking determined as ever to get up on his own, but it was clear he could use a bit of a push.

Russe followed the other saiyan and his smaller companion as he raced ahead of the pair towards the couch. Witnessing Pankaa bump into the sofa without a care in the world amused the half saiyan, not out of enjoyment of other people's pain, rather his mannerisms, his struggle to climb on the furniture, it's astonishingly adorable from Russé's perspective. The male sat on the couch and gave Pankaa a supporting hand. "Here we go, Upsy daisy!" placing the young bird on the couch.
Speaking of the sofa, he personally found it very comfortable to sit on, its so soft its like sitting on a cloud, he wondered what store did Nero got it from, now he wants a couch like this for himself, its going to be difficult to stand up after this. "You got a pretty nice couch dude, what is the name of the store did you buy this from?" smiling and patting its the surface, another object in the room pique his interest, the hologram projector, he recalled Nero explaining to Pankaa in the in's and outs of the machine, judging by its size, he suspected it wouldn't be too complicated to get it working. "Did you buy this thing too? is there a switch to turn it on in case Pankaa wants to watch TV?" better safe than sorry to ask.
