|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
Nero noticed that Pankaa was curious about Russé being the one to look after him, and nodded when the little one looked to him for confirmation. “Ahuh, that’s right Pankaa. Russé is cool, you two will have fun, I’m sure.”
Pankaa was quite eager still, he even rushed ahead and absentmindedly bumped into the couch Nero raised a brow, easily able to figure out that Pankaa didn’t hurt himself. “Easy there buddy. I understand that you are excited, but please slow down.” He said, walking over after Russé. Should Pankaa show any nervousness or confusion at Russé’s offer to pick him up, Nero smiled to the little Avali. “Go on, he’ll help.” Should that fail, Nero would attempt to assist himself. “The couch? I got it from a neighbor as a housewarming gift. I’m not sure where they got it from, I’ll ask later if you’re keen to know though.”
After everything was sorted, Nero took his seat. “Alriiight, I’ve got everything written down in a little booklet for you but gonna just go through some super important things verbally as well. After I’ve gone through everything, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Is that all good?” Nero nodded to Russé before launching into his explanations, allowing the other Saiyan to be ready and attentive.
“Pankaa is an Avali, and Avali can’t handle the same temperatures as we can. They are better in colder places, which is why it’s pretty chilly in here. So, don’t touch the thermostat, leave it as it is. If it gets cold for you, feel free to put on a jumper or something.” Nero figured was also the chance that Russé would take being in a colder room as a challenge that he could ‘train’ in, but it made sense to offer the use of some spare clothing. “Pankaa can only go outside with a special suit on right now, and that is very important. The suit is in our room in a special black crate with lights on it, you can’t miss it, but just in case, I’ve put instructions on it with a post-it note. Pankaa doesn’t drink the same water that we do either; he drinks ammonia based fluids. There is a big silver tank by the sink in the kitchen that I’ve rigged up, which has the liquid he needs. Other than that, Avali are omnivores just like us. Don’t give him too much sugar though, he’s quite energetic even without it, uhhh, right, Pankaa’s ears are sensitive, so be careful of them.” Nero tapped his chin in thought for a moment. “Oh right, his favorite TV show; Hopping Heroes should be on in about fourty-five minutes, just press this button here on the projector and set it to channel 5 with the dial at the bottom. Watch it with him if you can, he really likes to talk about it and would appreciate it if you listen.” He added, smiling at Pankaa. “He also has exhibited telekinetic abilities; so don’t freak out if stuff starts levitating, just be calm and tell Pankaa not to make a mess. If he looks confused about anything you say to him, please be patient, he isn’t used to the common language here on Earth; he’s still learning.”
That was more or less all of the important stuff Nero could think of off the top of his head. Everything else was in the booklet. “The booklet is riiight here-” Nero brought the booklet out of his jacket pocket and placed it on the little coffee table that the projector was set up on. “My mobile number is on the front page; call me if you need my urgent help. Don’t feel ashamed if you need to do that, I know how our people’s pride works— I won’t think less of you if you ask for help. So, any questions?”

Pankaa's PL: 1,000
When Russe gave Pankaa help to get on the couch the young avali wasn't quite sure what to think and his first reaction was to was to squawk lightly before following it up with a hissing noise, maybe he wanted to have gotten himself on the couch? Or just wasn't sure what to make of Russe's help since he was still new to the half saiyan. Either way he simply gave a light huff afterwards and crossed his little arms but remained sat down on the couch regardless. Nero had given him a smile and reassured him that Russe would help, but he wanted to get on the couch himself he was getting good at it! He quietly listened as the adults spoke to one another, only sometimes muttering something under his breath every so often but it was too bird-like to really understand if it were real words in another language or just the kid making noises for the fun of it. One thing he did say a little louder though was, " Booket" Which was no doubt his attempt at trying to say 'booklet' after Nero had said it. As Nero explained things about the avali to the other saiyan, the avali himself seemed to become a little distracted since a lot of it were words he didn't fully understand yet and he couldn't contribute well to a more adult conversation yet. So Pankaa started to clamber over the couch rather then just sitting on it, attempting to climb over to the back of it so he was taller, whenever he slipped back down though he burst into laughter and fluffed up his feathers after having plopped back down into the seat part of the couch. Eventually though he did manage to get to the top of the couch, positioning himself right along the back to keep himself from falling over the back of it as well as to avoid falling back into his seat spot. He'd look to Nero and gave a triumphant smile, knowing he probably wasn't supposed to be up there but had made it anyway so Nero would be proud, right? " Telek-k... Huh?" Pankaa held onto the top of the couch still but was curious what that big scary word was, he was still listening despite being cheeky. The avali did think about letting go of the couch though when the booklet came out and was placed on the table, but he knew he wouldn't be able to reach it before either one of the saiyans could. It was tempting though and he stared at the little book, " The Pankaa Booket..." He'd mutter, reaching out a hand in the direction of the booklet but not actually trying to go and get it. Nero then asked Russe if he had any questions but the avali would speak up with one too. " Why can't I go with Newo to worky?" He'd ask, flattening his ears back as he asked, the cheeky tone he had before fading away a little bit as well, he wasn't trying to be playful or cheeky by asking something when Russe was supposed to be, he was just genuinely sad he couldn't go out with Nero and didn't quite understand why.

Russé didn't get the answer he was looking for but its good to know Nero's neighbor has good taste in furniture "That's nice of them to welcome you to the neighborhood" he smiled. his fellow saiyan prepared a booklet of "how to babysit Pankaa 101" the way Russé puts it, and now they are going to go over some important details about this little guy, being more than happy to allow his brain to absorb any information.
The first detail is being told about his species and they thrive in cold places unlike the two saiyans, he is then told to not mess with the thermostat in the room. "That would explain why its chilly in here, I can handle the cold no problem" doubting he would need a jumper to keep warm. He is informed about a special suit Pankaa requires to go outside and its stored in a black crate with lights on the surface in their room, it peaked his curiosity about Pankaa's biology, increasing it tenfold discovering he drinks fluids made from ammonia, he gathered there is a machine hooked up in the kitchen to provide him the liquid he needs. He has a couple of questions he would like to ask Nero but he allowed the saiyan to continue explaining what to do.
He didn't have to worry about food too much, apparently Pankaa can eat the same things they do more or less, he is advised not to give him too much sugar to prevent the little avail from getting a boost in energy, though it wouldn't make a difference based on how Pankaa behaves. "I assumed he already ate a lot of sugar" he laughed while looking at Pankaa trying to climb on the top of the couch then glanced back at Nero, Russé subtly expressed worry he might fall down and hurt himself but Pankaa seems to be too carefree to even care about his well being.
The brown haired boy wonder spilled the beans about Pankaa's favorite show, "Hopping Heroes" the TV program is going to come on in forty five minutes, he didn't know how to work the projector until Nero told him to press a button on the projectile and turn the dial to channel 5, easy enough. He didn't watch the show as a child but its recommended to watch the program with Pankaa, he has dealt with talkative children before, in fact it brings him joy to listen to them talk about stuff they like.
He is warned of his telekinetic abilities and to not freak out if he starts levitating, chances of that happening is one in a million. Flying has became an integral part of society he would be surprised if anyone does NOT know how to fly, though he has never dealt with a baby floating around, who know what kinds of emotions this wiil spring out of him. Nero placed the booklet on the coffee table and now its question time.
"You told me Pankaa can eat food like us and that he needs ammonia liquid, does this mean he cant eat fruit? they contain water" he asked. "what about ice cream? he can have that right?" pondering.

|| Nero’s PL: 17 ||
Nero observed Pankaa’s behavior, he didn’t act out or pitch a big fit so that was good. As far as Nero could tell, Pankaa was still just getting used to Russé, and there was maaaybe a slim chance that the little Avali wanted to do something himself to show he was a good lad. “Its okay Pankaa, you’ll get the hang of it. No need to rush.” So regardless, Nero kept his positive smile on.
“I kinda thought you might take the colder temperature as a bit of a training challenge, to be honest? Is that accurate?” Nero snickered in response to Russé, finding it amusing how Saiyans found outlandishly interesting ways to train sometimes. He would be lying if he didn’t do the same a long time ago, back when he actually cared to be a fighter.
Nero looked over to Pankaa for a moment, having noticed he was chirping and beeping in a way that the Saiyan assumed was just for fun until he actually tried his best to actually speak. “You almost got it in one go, Pankaa, very good!” He said with a hint of pride. Pankaa was so close to getting it on his first try, but L and R sounds still seemed particularly difficult at the moment as a result of the Avali’s mild preference for bird-like communication. Nero chuckled at Russé’s comment on Pankaa’s level of energy. “Oh believe me, I understand.” He began, keeping an eye on the little Avali as he tried to climb up the couch. “Easy there, bud.” Nero would be ready to catch Pankaa if he went overboard, but luckily that never came to pass. The little bundle of orange sunshine stood triumphant having scaled the comfy living room furniture, and Nero couldn’t help but feel a little proud. “Remember, Pankaa, how you can make things float if you try super hard to think about it? That’s telekinesis.” He explained, making sure to say telekinesis clearly for Pankaa to gain a better understanding of the word.
Russé had a few questions of course, namely dietary for the moment, which were easy enough to answer. “There are some specific fruits, they’re also ammonia based. Pretty rare on Earth, but we’ve got some— they’re in a special marked drawer by the tank I mentioned earlier. As for cold snaaaacks, I made some special ice-blocks last night with one of the fruits and the ammonia based fluids. It’s the only thing in the freezer at the moment, but Pankaa shouldn’t have too many.”
Speaking of Pankaa, Nero noticed the boy’s interest in the booklet that was written up with him in mind. “Hey, would you like to read it together later when I’m back? You seem curious.” There was something more important to however. Pankaa didn’t quite understand what ‘work’ was and why he couldn’t go with Nero; it pained the Saiyan to see the little guy so sad, but it was better to be honest and upfront with children— all one really needed to do was adjust the language they used while taking into account age or any language barriers. Nero motioned for Pankaa to come over and sit on his lap. “People go to work to get money and money is what people use to buy food, clothes, the places they live in. They trade the money for those things. Plus, when people go to work they do important things that they need to focus on. Like helping people build stuff, keeping people safe, or teaching people things. The list goes on. I can’t do my jobs for the money we need and keep an eye on you at the exact same time in the same place because I wouldn’t be able to do my best at both of these very very important things. Do you get what I’m saying, champ?” Nero made sure to explain at a pace Pankaa could keep up with, trying his best to speak in such a way that the Avali could hopefully understand.

Nero pridefully letting him know that he'd almost gotten the word right in one go made the young avali smile and clap his hands for a moment in an excited manner, happy he'd almost gotten the hard word right even if he didn't know what it even met yet. When the Saiyan said to take it easy it also made the child laugh some more, even going so far as to curl into a little ball and try to stand on his head on the back of the couch but after his tail smacked him in the face for doing so he'd go back to clinging onto the top instead.
"Baa baa baa?" Pankaa looked to Nero and raised his four ears to show he had his attention, "I do that? Wow!" He'd grab onto his feet and rock himself back and forth a few times but didn't seem to quite get what was being said to its full extent. Perhaps he didn't recall the times he did this very well? Or wasn't aware when he was doing it?
As the Saiyans talked to each other about the avali's diet, he himself would attempt to repeat words here and there while they spoke whether it was to learn, practice or be funny wasn't really obvious. "Ammonana! Ice Cweam! Snack snack snack!" Either way he seemed to be having a great time trying his best to say them! "Aa!" Pankaa would nod a yes to Nero asking if he wanted to read the booklet later. "Yes peas!"
The small avali would shuffle back down the couch and carefully hopped off before hurrying over to where Nero was sat instead, jumping up to climb and clamber up into his lap and after he eventually got there or was helped up into it, he'd simply politely sit for the Saiyan, looking up at him to try and understand what he had to say next. "Uhm... Yea... But what about Pankaa work?" He'd ask while pointing one of his tiny claws into his baby chest fluff. "I miss Newo when he's worky..." He'd add as he balled up his hands into fists and held them underneath his eyes which were welling up with tears. Feeling like he should be ashamed for being emotional in front of a visitor especially so soon, the avali would move over and press his small head into Nero's tummy to 'hide', gripping onto the Saiyan's outfit lightly. "I'm sowwy..."

Russé shrugged his shoulders "Nah, I just tolerate the cold, I didn't have training in mind coming here to be honest" he was simply coming to this place to do some work, though training out in the cold doesn't sound like a bad idea..Russé watched Pankaa trying to understand what is going on and struggling to say telekinesis while Nero is explaining to him on what it means, he was confused but the boy tried at least, It was adorable!
Nero revealed there are ammonia based fruit on earth but they are rare to find, he mentioned they have some of the fruit in a drawer next to the tank."That saves me the trouble of having to find that type of fruit around here, you sure know your stuff Nero" good thing Nero is knowledgeable about Avail stuff or he would've had to take Pankaa with him to a bunch of stores to find this ammonia fruit, store owners might not even sell the product if what Nero said is true.
Nero informed the half saiyan he made ice-blocks deserts from fruits and their ammonia cousins and was instructed not to give Pankaa too much of it. "I'll keep that in mind" watching Pankaa getting excited about the frozen treats, judging how energetic this young creature seems to be, he assumed they pack a lot of sugar. Pankaa's curiosity lead to him gazing at the booklet that was written about him, it was placed on the coffee table and he listened to Nero explaining to the feathery lad about the concept of money, why he has to go to work and why he couldn't be in two places at once. Pankaa didn't seem to like his answer and the little guy began to cry and huddled in Nero's chest.
Awww..
Russé opened his mouth wanting to chime in to but he thought it was best to let them have their moment as his mouth formed into a smile.
