Suri had been left to do whatever, after her graduation. She had been spending her time doing what she wanted, wandering and travelling the Earth, or induldging in her hobbies, working out or tinkering with magic. Suri didn't want to admit it, but she was...a jobless freeloader, essentially. Suri's relatives was very understanding about this, but she still felt the need to do something productive, so she decided to look for some part-time jobs she could do. It couldn't really do her any harm, as the more experience with jobs she gained now, the more it would benefit her in the future.
After spending some time scrolling through some websites, Suri picked a job as a tutor. Sounded easy enough, and the usual pay for tutors was great too. After doing some research, she was surprised at the fact that she could be a tutor, despite not having a degree, and at the same time, she feared that she might just disappoint. Suri spent weeks preparing, studying almost as much as she did back in highschool when it was test season. Today was the day. Her first day as a tutor. Today's work was going to decide whether Suri got the job or not, as well as how much she'd get paid, so she was going to try her best...
Oh, her heart would be pounding if she had one. When Suri collected her thoughts and opened her eyes, she could see the door to the house of her student, 'Donata' was her name. Suri hoped she came dressed appropriately, she was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black trousers, keeping it simple. She walked up to the door and knocked on it. "Hello? I'm the tutor, uh...I'm...here to teach?" Nervously gripping her bag, she waited for someone to answer the door.
:D First starter, hope it's not too bad

Donata PL: 3,800
Donata wasn't a hard worker. At school, she did her best to just understand the classes and then asspull her tests to get alright scores - and that has worked until now, until she had gotten into the harder subjects of this last year where that just wasn't doing the cut anymore.
Maths? Sure, once she got the idea she was surprisingly good at it, there wasn't much memorization needed - she mainly just needed to understand it and the rest felt obvious to her. But for other things, such as Chemistry where a lot more elbow grease was required, having to learn so many individual properties and operations, she was a mess. She found it so immensely boring too, to make matters worse.
And she has already failed her first test this year for that subject, and her parents were adamant for her to not fail again.
.-~*~-.
"Yes, hello hello." Donata mentioned with zero enthusiasm as she opened the door, still clad in her school uniform. "I'm Donata. A pleasure to meet you, Suri. Appreciated to have you here today." she added, to then attempt to shake her hand and be polite.
"Please, come in." she'd add, gesturing towards the living room where she already had all of her self-torture devices ready: her Chemistry book, pens and notebooks, all set up for the study session.
"So, how's it going?" the girl would comment, a bit more cheerful, trying to make some small chat with her to try to brighten up the mood.

The door opened, and Suri was greeted by Donata. She already knew her name, she probably heard it from her parents, or something. "Oh, uh. You know my name already, huh. Well, thanks! It's a pleasure to meet you as well. I hope we can get along." Suri was quick to respond to her polite gesture, she shook her hand. While doing so, Suri kept her eyes on Donata, feeling a bit worried about her. Judging from her lack of enthusiasm, she probably didn't like studying, I mean, who does? Not Suri, that's for sure. Suri gave Donata a bit of a sympathetic smile, Suri felt like she knew how Donata felt, but they both knew they had to do this.
As Suri stepped into the living room, she saw that Donata had already prepared to study beforehand. "You already set up everything, that's good!" Looks like she was serious about studying, it seemed like Suri wasn't going to have problem there. Suri took a seat wherever she could, and set her bag next to her.
While Suri was doing that, Donata asked Suri how she was doing, she noticed that Donata seemed a bit more cheerful than before, but didn't know if that was genuine joy or just pretending...Regardless, Suri responded in kind with a smile. "I'm doing great! Ehm, well...actually, I'm kinda nervous. I don't have a lot of experience with tutoring, but I hope I do a good job!" Was it a good idea to reveal that fact, Suri didn't know. Her aim was to be more friendly with Donata, trying to be more down-to-earth and honest. "How was your day? I see you're still in your uniform, so it hasn't been long since you got home from school, I assume?"
It would have been great to just talk, but Suri had a job to do, so Suri started looking at Donata's books, and asked "So, where are you at, in terms of progress?"

“Yeah, it finished a short bit ago” the girl admitted as she took a seat to then pull up her book and show her a few pages of it. “We’re doing this chemistry stuff here, uuuuh, oxidation reactions and stuff like that” she mentioned. “Electrons going everywhere and such.”
She then scratched the back if her neck. “So, you’re a Majinn, yes?” the girl asked, trying pad the time here so that her suffering would be less. “I haven’t seen many ever, heh. Quite amazing to have one here with me right now to be honest. Is it true that you can change your shape to anything?”
She had her pen in her hand, spinning and twirling it idly as she made the chatter.
”...Or magic?” she added, her eyes widening with excited expectation.

"Mhm." Suri was shown Donata's book. She smiled, feeling a bit of nostalgia. Suri noted the pages Donata was on, hopefully she remembered this well enough. Right, now to begin...was what Suri thought, but Dontata started asking Suri about her Majin-ness. "Eh...uhm..."
They needed to study...eh, it wasn't going to be long anyways, and it would be rude of her not to answer, right? Suri nervously looked for a clock in the room. Whether she found one or not, she turned back to Donata before beginning to answer her questions. "Well, yes, I am! ...Huh. You too? Majin really aren't as common as I thought, huh...I didn't know. I met someone else before who also said that there aren't that many around, though I met them in the north..." Ah, changing shape, it was something Suri used in her daily life without thinking about it much. "Anything...? I don't know about that, I think that kind of stuff would need a lot of training. I do have some control over my own body's shape. For example, I made this nose. I didn't have one before I did." When Suri mentioned her nose, Suri pointed at her own nose. "And these eyebrows, I cut them myself, and I make them move." Suri pointed up at her eyebrows when she mentioned them as well, she made the eyebrow-slits wiggle a bit before putting her hand back down.
Suri's face brightened up a lot when she thought about magic. Suri had started learning magic from her aunt at a young age, and she had been learning and self-teaching ever since. Tinkering with magic was one of her favorite hobbies, which she liked so much that it got in the way of her studies a few years ago... "And as for magic...yes, I can! I'm glad you asked, it's somewhat of a hobby that I have. I can use some magic, though some of the advanced stuff requires a lot of learning and studying...which is what we should be doing right now!" That was a great segway, wasn't it? Suri was certainly a teensy bit proud of that. Of course, Donata was probably going to be unhappy to be reminded of studying, even Suri could imagine that, but Suri had an idea. "Hm...I could show you. Magic, I mean. Buuuuut only if we make it 8 pages of progress today! Heheh." Suri would then begin the lesson, if she wasn't inturrupted.

Donata looked at her with wide eyes as she explained, excited about what she was talking about - even more so when she started to mention magic. It was such a rare thing to see, aside from the usual illusionist tricks which aren't really magic, and being able to actually learn some would be insanely interesting, she believed.
"Eight pages?" she wondered, having noticed that the Majin had looked towards the clock that they had on the wall, most likely worried about the time. It seemed like she wasn't going to be able to talk her way out of this torture.
"Well, alright..." she mumbled, and flipped through the page to see which ones were the ones that they were going to have to go over. She got her notebook and pen ready and flipped back to the first page that they would have to tackle and stared at it with an expression of doom. It was some combustion chemistry, one of the things that she believed she had gotten the hang of but not all of the way still. She twirled the pen in her hands and then looked at her tutor.
"So... About combustion..." she would start off, before trailing on further about the details of how those kind of chemical reactions worked...
.-~*~-.
After finishing the eight pages Donata would be with the side of her head on the desk, feeling dead and mentally drained of doing this subject she detested so much, but inside, pretty happy that she had finally managed to get all of that done.
"So. Magic?" she wondered, peering up to the Majin with enthusiasm.

Donata seemed to be facinated about what Suri had to say, especially magic. This was...a natural reaction, Suri guessed this was a natural reaction, as Donata had not seen that many Majin around, Magic wasn't very common, now that Suri thought about it. Suri didn't know anyone outside her family that knew about magic, other than other Majin...
Eight pages. Maybe that was a lot. Donata didn't object though, thankfully. Her unenthusiastic expression seemed to return, naturally. Suri put on a smile, trying her best to pretend to be enthusiastic for Donata, and began to explain combustion chemistry. "Right, so, if you look here..."
Aaaaand skip.
They made a good amount of progress today. In about an hour, they had finished their studies for today. "Wow, we sure flew through that. I hope I wasn't talking too fast." Suri stretched and leaned back on her seat a bit. Suri was surprised at how exhausting this was, mentally. "Hrr...Phew." How did she sit through school for all those years, anyway? Though, it seemed like Donata was even more tired, she looked like she was actually going to pass out! This was made apparant with Donata laying her head on the desk. She was quick to recover, though, she lifted her head back up and reminded Suri of the promise she made earlier. "Right, right. Well, you seem tired...Maybe a little snack, first."
Suri then grew silent, closed her eyes and started focusing. She put her left hand forward, like she was going to grab something. A gust of wind swirled in the room, it was cold, but also gentle. The wind wandered around the room, lightly brushing objects. It blew toward Suri's hand, and as it grew colder, the magical wind caused a scoop of chocolate-chip ice cream to materialize above Suri's hand... Immediately affected by gravity, the baseball-sized scoop started to fall. Suri's eyes opened, flared up, and glowed pink for a brief moment. A glass bowl appeared in her hand, which she quickly used to catch the falling ice cream.
Suri had created ice cream with her magic materialization! This used up some of her energy, but it was a small amount, nothing compared to the magic she used for destructive purposes. Suri raised her other hand, and a pink plastic spoon appeared in that hand. She put the spoon in the bowl and handed it over to Donata. "Bon A-oh wait. This is...kinda big. Can you eat this alone? If not, I'll get a spoon too! ...Oh, uh...I guess I showed you, without thinking." Suri started to conjure up a spoon of her own, while saying "I hope you like this flavor! I can make another one, if you want me to. That would just mean that I'm gonna have to gulp this whole thing down myself."

Donata certainly was tired, but more from the tedium of having to do chemistry than from actual physical exhaustion, although they felt very similar to her. From her position of having her head on the table and just peering from there, the pink haired girl managed to observe how the Majin somehow made the winds and some kind of arcane energy make some ice cream appear, and then a bowl.
Just out of thin air, just like that.
Bewildered, she just continued to stare. In contrast to the chemistry that she had just been studying, magic seemed to be entirely contrary to the rules of nature that she had been learning - the conventional ones, at least. She assumed that there had to be some kind of oversight that she was making as to make her not realize the further true deeper inner workings of whatever was going on in front of her.
Would it be safe to eat? She had never tried any sort of magically created food before, would she be allergic to it? She hoped not. It looked so tasty.
The girl sat better in her seat, adjusting her plump butt and her body into the seat as to put herself upright again and she looked at the tutor and then back to the food, in silent awe. "T-thank you." she eventually muttered, still stunned, having now the sweet aroma of the dessert visit her nose, making her really convinced that it was the real deal. Real, actual food. "We can share it Suri, no problem." she would then add, and help herself to a spoon and stick it into the frosty cream and scoop a mouthful of it for herself.
She brought it up to her eyes and inspected it. It had the same lush texture that any other ice cream she had tried had, the same smell and it even emanated the same cold aura. Unbelievable. And to think that this had been made right before her very eyes, just like that.
"Itadakimasu." she muttered, before finally putting it into her mouth, tasting the rich chocolate chip flavor, to then bring a hand to her cheek as she smiled. "Oh! It really is so good!" she chuckled, momentarily having forgotten her manners to not talk with her mouth full due to how delicious it was.
She left the icecream in her mouth for a moment, savoring it entirely, trying to find anything off about it, but not really detecting anything. Just like always. "You know, I'm really surprised by how... Normal it tastes." she mentioned. "But that's good! Like, it tastes like ice cream should taste. But, I don't know. I'm guessing I just expected something... different, you know? Because it's magic. But, regardless - it's really good!"
The girl then stuck her spoon into the dessert again and ate more, and in between doing so, made a few more questions. "So, Suri, this is what you eat? You just magically make food and eat it? It feels like something like that could solve world hunger, huhu. Just magically conjure up a buffet for everyone and problem solved. Or, maybe you could conjure money! I, uh. I guess that's illegal though, huhu. But I'm guessing people might have tried to be sneaky like that before, no?"

Donata seemed rather surprised, which was to be expected. Magic was indeed, an unnatural force that went against conventional logic. Unnatural as it may be, it was the most natural thing to Suri. She conjured up the ice cream without much thought put into it. It was natural to Suri, but it wasn't like it was the same as blinking, or moving muscles, it was more like...cooking instant ramen, that level of natural. "You're very welcome! ...Hm? You're smelling it?" Suri leaned in to smell the ice cream as well, was there anything odd about it...? Suri had also never really seen anyone actively smell ice cream before... Well, Suri didn't smell anything weird about it, so she leaned back again and finished creating a spoon for herself, as Donata agreed to share the dessert together!
Suri didn't dig in immediately, however she may have wanted to. Donata was curiously observing her spoonful of ice cream, as if it was the strangest thing in the world... Suri let Donata inspect in silence, and the silence continued until she spoke up with 'Itadakimasu', which made Suri smile. Donata got the first bite of the ice cream Suri created for the both of them, then Suri also scooped up a spoon of her own. Donata seemed to really enjoy it, to Suri's relief. With all her staring, Suri was getting worried that she wouldn't have. Donata spoke with food in her mouth, which...Suri wasn't going to say anything there, Suri didn't think she was in any position to, she was only two years older, and...she wasn't here to teach her manners.
Suri stayed silent and ate her ice cream, spoon after spoon, listening to Donata. 'Oh, so that's why she sniffed it first...' Because she thought it would taste weird... Suri hadn't even thought about the taste being different from normal. After all, why would she want her ice cream to taste not like ice cream? "Well, I want the taste to be normal, so it is! Glad you like it, though. Ah, and when I create stuff, it's usually based on stuff that already exist." Suri got a few more bites before Donata's questions. "Yeah, it doesn't take much effort on my part, so I make desserts for myself, at least. I do have my limits, though, so...I can't make infinite food as of now. Hm. I think I'm not the best at it, either. Once, I tried making something, it was supposed to be warm food, but it was cold, uh...I guess, 'frozen solid'..." Reminded of her incompetence, Suri was about to go quiet, but then she was surprised by Donata's next question. "Uh, eh...I've never thought about that! But...I'm sure others have, yes. It would probably break the economy. Well, I dunno about other people, but I probably can't. I need to know about the thing I want to make, how it works, how it's made... I guess...I'm pretty obsessed with ice cream, and that's probably why I'm good at this, at least." Suri looked proudly at the bowl of ice cream she made.
It was nice to eat ice cream. Continuing to eat, Suri noticed that the bowl was already half empty. "Oh. I can make ice cream, but too much is bad for you, so I don't make too much at once. I don't, like...eat too much, er, hm...I think, it's bad for me. I don't really know. I'm afraid of gaining weight, though, so...hm." No one really asked that, but Suri just felt like she had to add that in, feeling a bit self-conscious.
Suri tried to move on away from that topic, to another. Or, back to a similar topic, she guessed. "Magic is cool and all, but I know magic isn't the only special power out there, plenty of people can use ki these days, including me. Used it to fly over here, actually. So convenient... Can you use ki, or something else? ...Just curious." Ki was also something Suri kinda used naturally... Although it was more common than magic, not all people knew how to use it, still, which wasn't a bad thing by any means.

"No infinite food? Boo..." she joked with a soft chuckle.
"Also, afraid about gaining weight? But you can just change your shape to anything!" Donata replied with a chuckle. "Just put all of that extra mass elsewhere convenient. Or, couldn't you use like, use magic to lose weight too?"
"And yeah, I can use a bit of that. Not ki, but I can do this." she mentioned, before pulling out a paper from her notebook to then toss it into the air, and mid-flight, made it explode into confetti. Then, she chuckled and went to brush all of the pieces of paper on the floor into her hand.
"I can make stuff explode. With my mind." she noted. "It's not much but it works to fight off bad guys. And pranks, I guess."
The girl then shrugged. "It's not really as cool as magic, and I was just born with it. I don't totally understand how it works myself either to be honest, but I guess that eventually with practice and stuff I could. My parents don't want me to really get into the whole fighter business though, so they see improving my powers to be a bit pointless. Study is way more important, for them. And getting a real career and whatnot."

Sadly, magic had its limits...probably. Suri definitely had hers. "For now, yeah, sadly. Though I am improving. Maybe one day I'll just make all my own food with magic. Hm. Imagine that...more money to spend on other things, without having to pay for food... Oh, and apparantly cooking is a good career path for us! If I get good enough, I might try that, actually...profitable, in more ways than one." Suri thought, perhaps continuing her magic studies wasn't such a bad idea after all, as her hobby could actually become her future job. And like that, Suri had gotten another idea for her future through a conversation! She was going to make sure to remember that. She wasn't confident she could actually become a chef, but it was something, at least.
"Ah, I wish. My body will revert to its original state after a while, the lost mass would be regained, too, I dunno how that works... I have to actually work out to lose weight, which isn't a bad thing, though. I actually like working out and training, it's kind of a hobby of mine. So, it's all good, I guess. ...Mm, except for the costs. Hmm...Using magic to...I'm not sure if there's a spell like that, but if I find it, I'll make sure to tell you." Suri's face was brightening up a lot now, they had been talking about things she found fun this whole time.
Donata was quick to demonstrate her abilities. The mini-explosion surprised Suri, and she let out a little "Eep!" and covered her face with both of her hands. After a little while, she peeked out and saw paper raining down like confetti, and a bit relieved, she put her hands down. "Oh...It was you, that...phew." And, it was a good thing none of the paper pieces went into the ice cream...right? Suri listened to Donata's explaination. "I see...Hm. You've fought bad guys, huh...so...I'm assuming you can make that more destructive, then. And also...less destructive, for pranks? I dunno. That seems pretty cool to me!"
"Study...Yeah, I...they're right, I guess. Getting too caught up in the fun stuff can mess with grades..." Suri knew that too well. Her grades had tanked because she spent too much time on her hobbies, and she barely managed to graduate with her grades. "And...besides, it seems kind of dangerous to fight bad people. Hm...can you use that power for defense too, somehow? From what I've heard from you, it seems like it's all attack."

"I mean, magic seems to be crazy good." the girl chuckled. "If you were a magic chef, imagine how many people you could feed! It would be insane, insane. Just snap your fingers and badabing - food. For dozens."
"And yeah, I can do a lot stronger versions." Donata added. "But I'm not going to do that here right now, huhu. Also, I sort of really suck at defense, all I know is to pretty much blow stuff up and... Punch stuff. Hard. There isn't much else to my abilities, I just haven't trained enough I guess."
The girl then shrugged.
"Buuuut it has been useful for some other things. I guess someone like you who knows about magic could also know about this..." she continued, before closing her eyes for a moment, for a small black, but masked ghost to ooze out of her body and then sit at the table with them, yawning and stretching it arms as if it had been asleep.
"Hrm- Miss Donata? What is it?" it asked, with a serene and gentlemanly voice. "You're not in a fight, now are you?"
"No." she chuckled. "It's fine. This is Suri, a friend."
"I see. I was worried for a moment, Miss Donata. A pleasure, Miss Suri." it said. "I'm Snap."
Donata then looked at the Majin. "This is a little ghost that lives in me, I take care of it. I've got another two - all three of them are pretty much... linked. And I let them feed off my excess psychic energy so that nothing bad accidentally happens with it."
"Quite." the gentle ghost replied. "I'm but just a humble spirit, grateful to have found a home in this talented young girl."

"Easy profit, and...Magic chef...I like how that sounds." The amused Majin grinned, putting a hand to her chin momentarily. 'Magic chef' was going to linger in her mind now, which was good, easier to remember.
"Oh, oh, of course! That could cause serious damage and all that, which is why I also chose to show you something completely harmless... Hm. I mean, I guess that's more or less what I do as well, with martial arts... Although, I'm proud to say I'm pretty good at defense! And...okay at offense, I guess." Donata said she hadn't trained enough...? A thought crossed Suri's mind, she thought maybe she could train her, teach her martial arts as well... That could also be a job. Martial arts teacher...though, Suri kind of felt like teaching this nice girl for free, maybe they could become close friends or something. Maybe not a job, then. Suri looked at her up and down, attempting to see if she had any muscle.
"Other things...?" Suri couldn't really guess as to what that was, as she didn't know where Donata's powers came from. Donata looked like she was preparing something... While eating some more ice cream, Suri watched as a black ghostly figure slowly emerged from Donata's body. Suri wasn't as fazed as when Donata made her confetti explosion, as this happened at a slow pace with no sudden loud noises. Oh, right, also, it was a ghost, but...Suri had seen a few ghosts before, some lingering in the living world, some summoned by her aunt. Suri assumed this ghost was friendly, since Donata seemingly 'summoned' him.
The ghost's name was Snap, he seemed to be a gentle person, and protective of Donata. "Oh! This is a surprise. Hello, Mr. Snap, it's a pleasure to meet you too." Suri stood up to greet the ghost with a bow, since there was a high chance that he was much older than her. He sounded that way, anyway. Suri sat down and looked at the both of them. "Three ghosts living inside you? There are three of you in there...? Hm..." The ghost seemed rather kind, and appreciative of Donata's hospitality. If the other two were like this too, Suri would have no problems with this idea... "Psychic powers, huh? I see, that's where your powers come from. Mm...I'm guessing...you help each other out?" Suri looked directly at Donata. "You give them your energy..." And then to Snap. "...and you help her fight?"

Donata was actually surprisingly fit, with evidently tight and well-shaped legs, although not burly by any means.
"Yeah, there's three." the pink haired girl chuckled. "And yep, I give them energy and they fight, mostly."
"We're more adequate for defense." Snap then pointed out. "Miss Donata already has offense covered generously. As long as we are bound to her, we cannot truly, well: expire, so to say. Which makes us ideal defenders, as we can simply reform after the battle is over, while our host unfortunately cannot. We, for better or worse, are not tethered to the same purview of life as living beings."
"Quite symbiotic on a few levels." the ghost then continued. "And there's three of us, so each one can provide defense; for a few times, hopefully."
"And meanwhile, I can blow the bad guys up!" Donata mentioned with laughter. "It's all I'm good for."
"Pretty much." Snap continued. "The first part, not the second, mind you."

Donata's body looked slightly more fit than Suri's, of course, Suri's own body was modeled after mostly untrained bodies, so it was only natural. Suri concluded that Donata was more fit than average.
Suri leaned forward and laid her chin on her palm. "Hmm. So...I guess, you have roles in combat, Donata focuses on attack while you guys defend her..." That was certainly a method Suri hadn't thought of before. She had to fight alone in tornaments, so she was used to fighting alone, handling both offense and defense. She sat upright again, and said "That's certainly an interesting way to fight. Though...sounds like it'd be a hit or miss kind of deal, I feel like you'd have to rely on your attack taking your opponent out before Mr. Snap and the others get taken down. I think...you're not...invulnerable, you can still be sent to the afterlife, even if it's not for long." 'For a few times', that was concerning...
Suri flinched a bit. "Eh-I'm sure you can find plenty of other ways to use your powers. Psychic powers, I'm sure there's plenty to explore in that area, like...psychokinesis? Or...more interaction with ghosts? I mean...I'm still finding ways to use my powers." It was pretty clear that Suri didn't know much about psychic powers, having only interacted with them in rare cases when opponents revealed them in the middle of a match. Her tournament fighting days were also years behind her by now...
As Suri thought about when she got to use her powers, she wondered when Donata got to use hers. "What situations do you usually find yourselves in, though, that would require you to use your powers? You said you fight bad guys, do you partake in vigilantism?" That sounded dangerous, but at the same time, fun. Her expression was not that of someone worrying, but that of someone curious, and a bit excited. Suri was definitely looking to fight again, it was already evident that she enjoyed it, both from her expression now, and her enthusiasm earlier.
