Ah, yet another day of Suri's travelling. Suri's days passed by rather mundanely for the last month, with her mostly wandering around and eating food here and there, only a few events differing from that pattern. Only recently, she had gotten a job, which was something different for sure, and it also gave her some extra money she could spend. Suri felt like she wanted to visit somewhere fancy, and exotic...
So, here she was, about to enter the rather large set of buildings known as the Cherry Valley Loft. Suri had heard great things about this place on the internet; the restaurant's food was said to be good and cheap, there was a fancy hotel you could stay at, a casino...and a skywalk! She could see it from the outside, connecting the three buildings. "Wow..." Suri accidentally expressed her amazement out loud. This place was impressively big, while the middle wasn't as tall, the hotel part had to be taller than ten stories, at least! Suri was really mostly here for the food, though, she had never even been to a casino before, and even the thought kind of intimidated her. The hotel didn't discorage her as much, it was just that she didn't plan to stay there. She could at least try out the skywalk before she went home...
Suri entered through what looked like the center entrance. She found herself standing in the middle of a lobby of sorts. Suri stood in the entrance hall and looked around, unsure of where to go. She wanted to find the restaurants, or the dining hall, whichever it was. Suri thought that maybe she should have done more research before coming... 'Now, where's the food place in here...?' She thought to herself, not daring to voice thoughts to herself in a place with other people. She could see reception desks in front of her. 'Maybe I could ask them!' Of course, how obvious.
With a one-track mind, she walked straight to a receptionist sitting there, failing to notice that the dining area was right there to the left from her location. "Uhm. Hi! Where's the fo-ah, uh, I mean..." Crap, she accidentally spoke too much of her mind, was she that hungry right now? Her mind had went straight to asking about food, how embarrassing... She spoke up again, this time actually thinking about her words. "Sorry, uhm, excuse me. I'm kind of lost here, and...I was wondering, is there like...a map of this building, or something?" This time, Suri masked her intentions to a degree, she didn't want to be seen as that one girl who only came for the food! Of course, that was assuming the receptionist even cared enough to judge.
Description based on what Pieter said on Discord ooc, I'm aware the Cherry Tree dining area is to the left

Cherry Valley Loft.
Huge place.
Donata felt dwarfed by the sheer size of it all, and found that everyone else around there was also comparatively miniscule. She stood in awe for a few moments, just taking in the moment, before snapping out of it and then taking a selfie of herself in front of the majestically enormous complex.
She had come here looking for a job. After all, she had recently come of age, so she could get a somewhat humane contract now. Being an internet personality hadn't started to pay off as much as she expected it to, and she really did want to have money of her own, because it represented independence. She could buy so many things of her own with it! Do so many things without having to ask her parents for cash! It was freedom. Sweet capitalistic freedom.
But as she ventured into the establishment, she noticed someone familiar, a certain rubbery and soft one. It was Suri, a person that she had met earlier as her tutor.
"Suri?" she wondered, to then chuckle and jog towards her to then give her a quick hug. "Oooh! I had no idea I was going to meet you here!" the girl chortled to then release her. "How's it going? What brings you here, girl?"

The receptionist never got to answer Suri, as Suri suddenly let out a yelp. "Oh-?!" Suri was surprised by someone hugging her suddenly. The embrace ended as suddenly as it came, and Suri turned to look properly at who it was...it was Donata, her tutoring student! Suri didn't expect her to be here, too! "H-hey, Donata! You scared me... Uhm, hang on." Suri would attempt to grab Donata's hand and walk away from the receptionist desks, or walk to the side at least, so they wouldn't be blocking the way of anyone. Either way, the receptionist would stare at them awkwardly, not knowing what to do, before moving on.
Whether they were far away from the receptionists, or just slightly away from them, Suri spoke up. "Ehm. It's great to see you too, Donata! I'm just here for the sightseeing, and the...the food...Apparantly it's good, it's fancy, it's cheap, what more could I ask. What about you? Here for the food too? And, uhm...did you...fly...here? With a car, or a plane, or a...flying car? Your house is kinda far from here..."

Things had been... Slow, yes. That would describe the situation Caein found himself in. He procured an artifact about a month or so back with Tarch, Chromo, and Noros, investigated East City for a historian knowledgeable of Konatsian history with a blue saiyan looking girl to only realize he should've just gone back to the Village for more immediate answers (this village having been the one informing him and the others of the cursed tomb that they went into), and then having said artifact plucked out of his hands and put into an alter to never be touched again as it was 'purified'! After that, Caein had returned back home, a small amount of cash earned for the information that he gained and then gave to a Konatsian historian on Earth about the temple, and paid his long overdue workers! After that, things were in a slump, with people yet to arrive for the wonders of Spring and Summer at the beaches, and in turn, the various casinos around like what the Cherry Valley Loft... Only, the Casino was closed!
Caein, himself, had taken to going around the Hotel and getting it prepared for the incoming guests. On top of this, he managed to get some contractors to come in and start an evaluation process on how much it'd take to effectively reconstruct the Casino from the inside out. He even wanted the large restaurant in between the hotel and casino opened back up, so getting that evaluated was simply a must, and so was the sky walk and elevators that let people go to and from each structure... It was a vast amount of work!
At the moment, though, Caein needed to hire more people, and he knew that he needed to send out another ad online. He did, and it took time for someone to answer. The receptionist that was too busy looking at their phone had finally looked up to see the two girls at the side! She pinged up Caein with a text, saying, 'Got some people. In lobby now.'
Caein got the message on his phone, and all the hybrid Devil could do was frown. He was with one of the construction foreman, trying to get a handle on what he was doing, and he'd requested the receptionist let him know immediately when someone arrive as well as take their notes down... But she didn't seem to be doing that. Caein spoke up to the gentleman, telling him, "I've got some pressing issues to handle down in the lobby. You've got my phone number right?"
"Yep. I'll give you a ring when I get a full evaluation on this sky-walk's integrity."
"Awesome! Feel free to get a drink and some food on your way out, too. The chefs will make you up something nice!"
Caein then rushed out of the pathway to the elevators, a slick yellow in color around the borders that could be seen going down a glass shaft. It moved quickly down to the lobby, and what he saw as he saw what his receptionist was doing made him aggravated! She wasn't even speaking to them!
'Going to fire that girl if she keeps this up,' Caein thought in his head, brushing his black vest as he exited the shaft. He put a smile on his face as he approached the two individuals! One was a human girl, and the other was a grayish-blue majin girl. Both were in ordinary clothes with nothing much going on about them, although, they both felt notably strong. Especially the Majin girl, though he'd found them to normally be so!
He spoke to the two, a cheerful tone given with a quick leer given to the receptionist, who immediately dropped it and started making herself look like she was doing something, "Ladies! Welcome to the Cherry Valley Loft! My receptionist here has informed me that..."
He paused for a very brief moment before continuing, his tone shifting to a guessing one.
"Both of you are here for a job?"
In his head, he was thinking very intently to fire his receptionist right there! However, he needed to make a first impression to these two girls.
Hello, am here now! :D

"I'm here to look for a job." Donata chuckled, to then put her hands on her hips with pride. "And I came here on bike! It's actually not quite that far for me, dohoho!"
And by being several hundred times more physically capable than the normal human, reaching this place by bicycle wasn't all that hard for her, although it had taken her a good while to reach here, but she believed that in the end it would be worth it. She wanted to work at a good place, and this place seemed to have the best conditions out of all that she had found on the internet. That she had to bike (at superhuman speed) all of the way here from Satan City was hardly an issue in comparison, for her.
Then, she turned around as she noticed that a dapper white-haired man had approached them, apparently having guessing what they were here for, which Donata found surprising at first, but then it all started to make sense once she realized who this man was - he was the person who ran this place!
"O-oh! Yes, I'm here for that." she chuckled, trying to put on her friendliest smile for him as to conceal that she was a bit nervous about all of this, this was going to be her first "real" job, so she wanted to make a good first impression.
She pulled out from her backpack a transparent plastic file which had within of it a paper. "H-here's my CV." she nearly stammered, considering giving it to him before just stuffing it back into her backpack, unsure if she should give it to him now or something.

"A job, here? But it's so far awa-oh...on bike?! Uh...I guess your psychic powers had something to do with it? If not, that would be very impressive..." Since Donata seemed so prideful about it, it seemed to Suri like the latter was true. On bike... "Hmn...that would be great exercise, actually. Or...maybe not?" Now that Suri had trained a bit to regain her usual strength, she was probably far beyond the norm in terms of physical prowess. She still hadn't thought about bikes for a long time, nowadays, she could just fly. It was much, much faster, with almost no effort on her part at all. "...It would still be fun, though. Anyway, what job are you doin-"
Suri stopped, hearing a man's voice from behind her. She turned around so she could see the owner of the voice. The white haired man was well dressed, and seemed like a gentleman. "Eh, uhm... Thank you, sir! What job?" 'Who is he...?' He definitely worked here, judging from the fact that he said 'my receptionist'. Suri glaced over at Donata. 'Hm. Her future boss? She's not very nervous in front of him, though. I'd be sweating like crazy...wait, did she stutter?' That...wasn't something she did often, Suri thought. '...Wait, did he say 'both'?' Suri turned back to look at the man. "Uh..."
Suri missed her oppertunity to state that she wasn't here for a job, she was going to have clarify...after he took Donata's... Oh wait, she took it back again. 'This is awkward...!' Suri would turn her head to look between the two others present, with an awkward smile to match.

The human girl with the pink hair appeared to have a confident personality, something this place needed considering the Loft's circumstances. At least, that was apparent until she was addressed about the job. She tried to give him a CV but then tried to put it back to her bag. Meanwhile, the Majin girl, despite her clearly higher Ki power, she was awkward and despondent. It seemed she wasn't actually here for the job, but welcomed it! She even inquired which position!
"Well, it's dependent on where your respective qualifications are at, although I'm fairly open minded," Caein replied, pointing back to the receptionist with his thumb, "First things first, though: Introductions! I'm the owner of this massive establishment, Caein! What're your names?"
Upon whether they introduced themselves or not, the half demon would begin specifying to them, "Currently, we're undergoing massive renovations to get our Casino back up and running before the season fully hits us, as well as the restaurant in between this building and the Casino. So, right now, jobs are open in this area, but if you wish to work in either of those buildings, I'm certainly accepting applications to either structure. Here, however, we need people in the Cherry Tree restaurant located behind your right side ranging from additional cooks to servers, room cleaners, janitorial staff, and others... It's all mainly due to the renovations coming into play. So, let's look at that CV, Miss."

"I'm Donata!" the girl replied. "And yes, here is my CV."
Within, there wasn't much. She was just an 18 year old girl who was still in high school and didn't have anything special about her compared to the usual teenager, aside from her insane psychic powers and that she had worked as a waitress for a restaurant shortly back. However, she made sure to try to make it seem as grandiose and impressive as possible without crossing the point of being too exaggerated.
"I also have immediate availability!" she pointed out. "Also, I uh, I don't think my experience would be best suited for a janitorial job and the sort..."
Of course she knew how to clean and could probably do that sort of jobs easily, but she really wasn't motivated to do something like that.
"But I think I could do well in jobs that are like, face to face with other people." she chuckled. "As you can see on my resume, I've got experience of being a waitress for some time and I did really well there! So maybe I could help out on the casino floor and such."
She was quite interested about working in that place, because it seemed like a "step up" from working in a restaurant, although this was just guessing on her behalf.

Oh. He was the owner. So he was the boss of everyone here. "I'm...Suri! Uhm! I don't have-oh, you meant..." Suri brought the back of her right hand to her mouth, and stopped speaking and waited for Donata to finish. 'She's serious... She's good with face to face, that must be great...'
While Donata talked, she looked in the direction of the Cherry Tree restaurant to confirm that it was there. If it was in plain sight, she would sigh at her lack of ability to find it earlier. 'How did I not see that?!'
Once Donata finished, Suri spoke up. She wasn't aware that Caein didn't know yet, so she thought she was 'breaking the news'. "Well...I actually...didn't come for a job, I...came for the restaurant, actually...though, I am looking for some jobs. My schedule's free, I guess..." Suri said as if she usually had a schedule. Other than working as Donata's tutor, she was completely free. "I don't have much experience in a job in this sort of place..." ANY job, pretty much. "...but...I can make desserts, with magic...is that useful?" ...Wait, was he even going to believe that?

The human girl gave her name, Donata, and so did the Majin girl, Suri! Suri wasn't actually looking for a job, in fact seeking the restaurant to eat at. Although claiming availability, she wasn't giving a confident vibe like Donata was. Donata proclaimed immediate availability, identifying in her CV her experience as a waitress. She was interested in the floor work at the Casino. Caein nodded and replied, "Duly noted, Suri! However, we ought to go over what's going on, and since this is my place... Let's get some grub, eh? Come on!"
He waved the two of them to follow suit, holding on to Donata's CV as he did. Hopefully, they followed. It'd be awkward if they didn't, especially considering that as he was walking, he was continuing to speak.
"When this place's Casino opens up, as well as the 2nd restaurant, there's gonna be a huge boom in activity. When that happens, I don't need people flaking out or becoming despondent like that girl at the front desk," he explained, pointing back with the CV papers in hand, "Not gonna lie, I'm probably gonna let her go soon if she doesn't wise up. We're in the Southern Capital rapidly approaching summer and I don't want anyone dragging their feet. Honestly, though, I want to be exploring all around and be trying to discover more about the world's history, including all the juicy details about this establishment! Did you know that about 200 years ago, this place was a small Inn at West City? Its rival was this Canto-Mandarin food place while still there when it came to food."
