Patrona's PL: 500
Today had been a rather slow working morning for the Majin, she had arrived to the peppy little cafe she worked at, fifteen minutes early as per her usual and tied on one of the waitress apron's making sure to do a cute bow at the back before she officially set off to start work for the day. Patrona started with prepping and baking up the more breakfast-y pastries and goodies before also starting to do some of the more sweeter ones as well, since it was still morning the breakfast ones were still in a higher demand after all! Finishing them up, it wasn't long after they had been placed on the display shelves that the freshly baked foods found themselves being bought and packed up neatly in a bag or served on a sweet little plate for customers to enjoy as they pleased, usually with a nice hot beverage to wash them down with. While it was rather slow, it was still a nice morning, the weather was calm and slightly breezy, there were no signs of any bad weather to come or at least, not for a few hours anyway and the majin liked it that way. Slow or not, her shift's end was drawing closer and closer with each passing minute nonetheless, so she would do her best to focus in her last hour or so. Though, she couldn't help but wonder where the rest of her day today would take her, she didn't have any plans for after her shift and wanted to fill that time with something exciting! Maybe something would come to her later, or perhaps a customer might mention a place of interest she could check out? She would have to wait and see.

Suri PL: 16,000
Suri woke up in the morning as usual. Despite her now having no reason to wake up early now that she was out of school, she still woke up at 6 in the morning. She put on her makeup, mostly cut her eyebrows and attached her nose again, ate her breakfast, and headed out wearing her hoodie. Today on her outing, she was planning to check out a few stores she had seen online, most of them being food related. Actually, most of her outings were food related, now that she thought about it! She needed to start thinking about this seriously. If she kept eating like this willy nilly without losing weight somehow...
Suri pushed that thought to the back of her mind for now, deciding to think about that after she ate some more. Time to procrastinate again, something she was great at.
Suri landed in Central City and started walking around, and soon found the store she was looking for, which was...closed. Apparantly they had moved to a different location. The location wasn't specified on the little note they left, though. 'Dangit, what now?' Suri thought, but then she noticed a nice looking cafe nearby. '...Well, that's a start.' She could sit there for a bit, and think about where to go next, or maybe she could eat something there instead.
Suri walked up to the cafe, and walked in the cafe through the front door. they seemed to have a lot of food on display, especially the bread. Suri could feel her stomach growling again, even though she had eaten an hour ago. She could see one person working there, a Majin, just like her...well, much more stylish and well dressed. 'How did she do that with her hair...? Hm...tatoos? And...she has a tail.' The tail reminded her of Myu.
...Oh. She was staring. Oops.
Suri bent her upper body and bowed to the woman, intended as a greeting, but also an apology if she caught on.

Patrona had just finished placing the food and hot drink on the table of another customer when a new one walked in! When Suri came in, the door would give a gentle jingle to welcome them on inside the establishment, signaling to the workers that they also had another customer to serve. Looking up from her work she spotted the new customer and seemed a bit pleasantly surprised to see another Majin. "Oh, Hello there! Welcome!" The other Majin seemed surprised to a degree to see her as well it seemed, as they seemed to stare at Patrona for a bit before reacting, the pink majin didn't seem negatively bothered by it though and would instead give a light giggle before bowing back to let Suri know it was okay and the return the greeting.
Steadily approaching the other girl, she kept a warm welcoming smile on her lips as she gestured to the goodies in the front display, "How may I help you?" There was all sorts of breads, pastries and some desserts were being placed on the top most shelves now as well by another worker who had been more at the back for most the morning. They were much taller then Patrona was and seemed a lot less approachable then her, which was probably why she was working out the front instead but she seemed to cast them a friendly smile before looking back to Suri. "It sure is nice to see another Majin in here every once and a while, I haven't gotten to meet many yet since moving to the city " She'd hold out a hand in greeting as well for Suri to shake if she so wished "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

The pink Majin sure was cheerful when she greeted Suri... She didn't seem to notice her staring, or, at least, Suri assumed, and hoped to death that that was the case. "Uh, y-yes, thank you." The woman approached Suri and asked what she could do for her, while gesturing at the display shelves filled with bread and pastries mostly. As Suri glanced over to the display, she could see that there were a lot of food for her to choose from, and she also finally noticed the other worker there as well. "Well, uhm...you have a lot of pastries here... I'm...not sure what to choose yet."
When the woman looked back at Suri and gave her a smile, she tried her best to return it with her own. The waitress was happy to see another Majin, apparantly she didn't see many in these parts. "I feel the same way, and...it's a pleasure to meet you too, miss." Suri said, while shaking the woman's hand. "You don't see many Majin around, either... Er, how is it, living in a new environment like that...? I don't quite know that feeling well, I've...never moved..." Now that she thought about it, Suri had lived her entire life in the big house her grandparents owned. It's not like she wasn't completely unaware of the feeling, however simply changing schools probably didn't compare to starting to live in a big city she had never been in before.
Suri didn't want to take up too much of the woman's time, she was probably busy! Suri nervously smiled while rubbing the back of her head, saying "Sorry, I should order something... So...uh...do you have a menu...? Or...any recommendations?" Suri then looked around to find anything she could look at, menu or otherwise.

|| Desmond's PL: 3,000 || Desmond has the Anti-Sense trait ||
Today was a slow day for more than a few people. It was one of those rare peaceful days for the most part— no explosions in the distance, no vehicle issues, all in all a laughably mundane day. Even for Desmond who had quite an ‘exciting’ career. His first shift at Crop Co had ended, so he was free to do as he pleased for a good few hours.
There was a project he and Carro worked on whenever they were both able— a special rendition of the Plexroid technology. Desmond would’ve loved to work on that more but it needed some test results to calculate and simulations to work through as a result before work could be continued. This usually took a day or so depending on the complexity of the tests and simulations.
As a result, Desmond was kind of at a loss for what to really do, so he decided to go for a wander around Central City. By now he knew the city like the back of his hand, so he knew where some interesting places were. Desmond remembered an intriguing little café that he had passed a few times before, so he settled for going there. The giant of a man had to duck and walk in sideways to even get inside, but luckily the ceiling was more than high enough so that he wasn’t forced to slouch or fumble around.
Out of the few people in the establishment, two stood out more than everyone else; two Majins. One of them seemed to work here given what Desmond had just overheard. He waved as he stepped over to the cabinet to get a good look at the options he had just letting the Majins know he was around while also not interrupt the ongoing conversation.

Patrona smiled warmly and nodded to let Suri know she understood, "That's alright! Take all the time you need~" She wasn't about to rush a customer afterall and she'd rather the other majin make a decision that'd make her happy! There was quite a lot to choose from too, even she had moments where it took her a few minutes to decide on what exactly she wanted. When Suri shook her hand and called her miss, the majin would giggle lightly again, "It's okay, you can call me Patrona if you'd like!" Though 'miss' was rather polite of her still. "Oh, really?" It was different to hear that the other majin hadn't moved before but then again not everyone did and some did at different stages of life, "Well it honestly is rather scary at first, especially since I was moving out and away from family for the first time, but it's also very exciting and there's a lot more opportunities here for me too!" Her tail had curled back anxiously at the moving out part but seemed to relax back again towards the end.
When Suri then gave an anxious smile, Patrona gave back a reassuring one, "You're okay! Take all the time you need, we have the big menu up there behind the counter's back wall and we also have these cute little menu pamphlets you can take home if you want to as well!" Leaning over to the counter bench near where the register was, Patrona would retract back and be holding a small handful of little menu pamphlets, holding one out to Suri. "Ooh for recommendations, I really love the donuts and croissant's-" She paused as the little bell went off again as another customer came in, one that caught her eye a second longer then most ever did. The man that had entered was so tall she was relieved that the ceiling had been made high enough that he wouldn't have to slouch, she wouldn't want him to hurt his back afterall!
"Since it's still not quite clocked over to donut time yet, I'd for sure recommend a croissant- And not just cause I make most of em myself, heh, but you can pick a number of toppings to suit just what you like, I personally like them sweeter, so having some honey or a chocolate spread is always delicious! But feel free to take as much time as you need on choosing! I clock off soon but have no real plans afterwards so I don't mind the wait, I'd rather you get something you know you'll enjoy~" She hoped her words accompanied by a sweet smile would help the other Majin to know she was welcome to not rush herself in choosing, before Patrona herself then returned the wave to the man who had entered and gave him some attention as well, allowing Suri to approach her whenever she was ready. "Hey there good Sir! Can I help you with anything?" She'd ask, as she patted down her work outfit and re-straightened the bow that tied around her back to be neater. All her bubbly attitude tended to get her uniform a little fluffed up!

Suri PL: 16,000
Suri was thankful the pink Majin was so kind and patient, she nodded when the waitress told her to take her time. When Suri referred to her as 'miss' while shaking her hand, she told her that Suri could call her by her name, Patrona, if she wanted. "Oh, uh...okay, m-..I mean, Patrona. If you want me to call you by your name..." Suri usually spoke politely to people she met, using honorifics for them unless told otherwise. She had been taught to do so in her upbringing, after all. Though, if someone wanted Suri to tone it down, she was going to oblige.
Patrona said she was scared at first, but then she talked about the positives of moving. Though Suri couldn't see it in her face, her tail showed her brief anxiousness...which seemed to fade as she talked about the good side. "Moving away from my family scares me too, but...one day..." One day, she was going to work up that courage, hopefully...
Suri stopped and looked back at Patrona when she reassured her, and then Suri's eyes were directed where the menu was when she said where it was. "Oh, there it is... I...don't know why I didn't notice that earlier..." Suri then looked back down, to find Patrona holding the menu pamphlets she mentioned. "T-Thank you." Suri said, as she took the pamphlet gently with both hands. Patrona enthusiastically recommended donuts and croissants... '...I could go for both.' Suri thought, but she didn't say it out loud, as she heard the bell chime, signalling that another customer had walked in. Suri briefly looked behind her to see the man that entered, before turning back. Then she looked behind her again. Boy, the SIZE of the man...he was quite tall indeed. She made her best attempt not to look surprised, turning back as quickly as she did the first time, but honestly, that double-take she did just now might have been enough to give it away...
Patrona, again, recommended the croissants, she said that it wasn't donut time yet, and since Suri didn't want to trouble her too much, she decided that she'd get the croissants like she had recommended. Suri's mouth involentarily grinned as she thought about the honey, and the chocolate... She also liked them sweeter, actually. Patrona, smiling, said to take as much time as she needed, which was reassuring... Suri nodded. "Alright, if you say so... I'll be over here, choosing." She then stepped to the side so the other customer could order if he wanted. Standing there, Suri began to think about what toppings she would get. 'Honey...chocolate? Or maybe...strawberry jam...? I wonder if they have ice cream. They probably have whipped cream.' Whatever Suri chose, it was probably going to be not only tasty, but also unique, and different to what Suri could make! That was why she was here in the first place. It was certainly exciting to think about.

“Well, isn’t any time donut time in the end?” Desmond got a decent chuckle out of that phrase regardless— he wasn’t one to take stock on stereotypes, but he did in fact like donuts. In fact, he would like most foods whether he was in law enforcement or not, the only weird thing he would be stuck with would be the fact that he liked to eat spare metal sometimes.
That being said, the other ‘weird’ thing about Desmond was his size; the grey Majin certainly noticed and he didn’t really blame her for being surprised. Instead, Desmond simply gave a smile and waved.
The bubbly pink Majin bounded over to ask if Desmond was ready to order anything— he wasn’t entirely sure, everything here looked rather nice especially the croissants. “Hmm, well I’m not exactly sure? I think I’ll go with a croissant, but I can’t seem to make a choice on which one. Do you have any recommendations, ma’am?” He looked between the cabinet and the Majin. “Oh, and if you have any Hetap Boysenblast, in uh, a can, that’d be fantastic.”

"I don't mind either way! Whatever you're comfortable with, but by name seems more friendly if you asked me!" She'd smile again, Suri was at least polite about it, incredibly polite actually at that, Patrona had met a few customers before who could learn a thing or two from this Majin, that was for sure. When Suri expressed that moving away from family scared her too the pink majin would give a comforting smile, "You can do it! One day for sure! Remember that even if you don't live in the same house as them, you can always visit, home is never just one place"
When the other majin commented on not noticing the menu earlier before gently taking the pamphlet menu, Patrona would smile, yet again, "Oh, don't you worry about it! You're not the first and certainly won't be the last to not notice it at first, I need to look into making it and the pamphlets more noticeable!" She huffed lightly, she had been meaning to do that for a while, it just costed a little time and money, maybe that was what she could do after heading home today!
Shortly after her donut time comment, the new customer made a comment in response to it, a friendly one that made him chuckle at that. "Wellllll, you're not wrong... But, having a sweet donut too early in the day wont keep the doctor away! A bagel would be more fitting for now" She was passionate about her sweets, but she knew you couldn't always eat them! A good balance was needed if you wanted to be happy and healthy and she had to encourage such when working. Truthfully while she did believe it, she also had a bit to her to show she let a bit more then a couple of sweets slip in when she shouldn't of. "Take all the time you need~ You're always welcome back for more if you ever want to try something you don't get today!" She'd smile to Suri again before giving her time to think of what to get.
Approaching the man who had entered, she waited patiently as he responded, turning to the cabinet as he looked between her and it. He asked if she had any recommendations before then asking about if they had something specific, "Oooh, you're in luck, we just got a box of those in today!" She then giggled lightly, seemed she was in luck too, her shift would end with her serving two of the most polite customers she had ever met, "You can call me Patrona if you'd like" She'd mention like she had done with Suri, Ma'am and Miss were polite and fine, but by name was something she saw as being more friendly. "I'll get you one of those, but for recommendations, the croissant with chocolate spread or honey if you like sweet or the ham and cheese one but toasted, it's Mmm!" She honestly loved most of the options they had on offer but recommending everything wasn't exactly helpful!
Leaving the two to have some time to think on their orders for a moment, she'd disappear behind the counter and then out the back to fetch the Hetap that Desmond had wanted before shortly returning again, this time behind the counter still. "All this talk of croissants has got me craving one you two, I'll have to pack myself one before leaving today!"

Suri was told to call Patrona by whichever she wanted. Which was why Suri decided to call her by whatever Patrona preferred, which was what Suri, also would prefer. 'Patrona'. Suri smiled and nodded, she did want to be friendly, also, so she was going to do that.
"Home is never one place... Right." Like Patrona said, she could visit anytime she wanted... Now, if only she could work up her courage to move out...
Patrona said Suri wasn't the first to not notice the menu, which was reassuring, but at the same time... "I think it's...my fault. I admit, I was rushing myself a bit." Suri added, not wanting to make Patrona think it was her fault. It probably wouldn't have taken Suri very long to find the menu, as it was right there! If only she hadn't been too focused on something else at the time...
'Oh, er- Crap, he noticed. I hope he's not offended...' He didn't appear to be, however. The man seemed friendly, actually. Suri listened to the conversation that ensued with the 'donut time' comment. 'Huh, so, then...donut time is just a good time to get donuts, not the time they serve donuts...?' Suri only now realized that it was possible for her to get donuts right now, but, she was already thinking about croissants, and Patrona recommended them too, so Suri wasn't changing her mind now.
Suri made sure to smile back to Patrona, before turning to face the menu to think, but still keeping her earholes open. The man was going to get a croissant too, and a drink. A drink! Suri had forgotten about those. She was definitely getting something cold, and sweet too. 'A cold chocolate drink could be good. What would go good with...ooh! Strawberry jam!' But then Suri heard the suggestions... 'Ham and cheese also sounds good...hnn...y'know what? Both.'
Suri was now ready to order, took a while, didn't she? Suri saw Patrona come out from the back. She said she was going to get a croissant too, Suri chuckled at that. "Eheheh, hm...understandable, I'd feel the same if I had to look at food while working... Oh, I...decided what to order! I'll have...two croissants, one with strawberry jam, and a ham and cheese one. And a iced chocolate too, please."

“Ahaha, yes, yes, having something that sweet too early isn’t really the best move, you’ve got me there.” Desmond let out a jolly laugh and a shrug in the end. Of course that didn’t stop many people from just sneaaaakily taking a few sweets early in the day, or a little bit too much in general.
Desmond silently pumped a fist in triumph, he had been quite lucky lately! “Very well, thank you Patrona.” He replied with a small bow of the head. “Just call me Desmond.” Smiling to the both of them, Desmond let the pair of Majins know that he was introducing himself in full, not wanting to leave either out of the loop.
Both recommendations that Patrona gave sounded lovely, and Desmond would have liked to get both. However, in reference to the earlier conversation about having too much in terms of sweets as first meal or snack of the day, Desmond wanted to at least be consistent. He patiently waited for Patrona to return, Desmond let Suri make her order first.
Once given the opportunity, Desmond spoke. “Welcome back, I think I will go with the savory croissant option— two of them in fact— thank you~” Either way he eyed the promised Hetap with a just barely noticeable hint of excitement.

Russe fluttered his eyes open and scurried out of bed, as he stretched each limb and popped a few bones, he felt good and full of energy for some reason, his stomach rattled demanding the saiyan to fill up his belly, one particular food he wanted to devour, he has been craving for it recently and he doesn't know why. He desires to stuff his face full of doughnuts and he knows where he can get the best doughnuts in town. The half saiyan threw on some fresh clothes then brushed his teeth in the bathroom, he would go downstairs and approached the exit door of the house, leave and locked the door behind him and flew off towards Central City. Once there, he spotted the cafe he hoped to contain the sugary pastry, entering the café he walked towards the counter to place an order "May I have 20 boxes of doughnuts?" speaking to the Majin behind the counter.

Patrona would shoot Suri another smile, "Naw it's okay! There's no need to rush and you've got the menu now so it's all good!" She could understand the rushing and not noticing something part, she'd been there herself on many occasions after all! "Rushes and distractions happen all the time, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been there myself a few times now too! Don't sweat it"
"Well you know what they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" She couldn't help but to giggle lightly at the jolly laugh Desmond let out shortly afterwards, the best kind of laughter was the kind that made others laugh as well! "Desmond huh? Well you have a lovely laugh, Desmond!" She was all for compliments and being honest it seemed, anything to that brightened another's morning was worth trying at the very least.
When she returned from the back, the two were ready to make their orders! She'd scoop up a small notepad and cute looking pen with a cupcake shaped eraser on the end and started to write down Suri's order first since Desmond had let the Majin go before him. "Two croissants, strawberry jam for one and ham and cheese for the other! Got it! Ohh and an iced chocolate, would you like whipped cream on the top of that?" She'd ask with a bright smile to Suri, before then also jotting down Desmond's order, "Two savory croissants! Can do! And no, thank you!" She'd beam as she passed the orders down to her fellow worker at the back, after having been given an answer by Suri on the whipped cream matter. "You both won't have to wait too long! Thank you for your orders, Oh and here's your Hetap Desmond!" She'd pass it over the counter to him, there were two little screens for two of the cash registers on the counter, one had Suri's order and the other had Desmond's written up on the screen with the total prices for both, seems Patrona was pretty quick on her feet to sort them both out individually for the sake of convenience, "Once your orders have come through you're welcome to pay whichever way you want, screen for all the techy ways, or through lil old me if you're doing it the old fashioned way!"
Sure enough, it wouldn't be long after she finished saying this, that their orders began to come out bit by bit. The pink Majin would, with very careful hands, gently wrap up both their orders separately, placing their foods into a rather cute paper bag which had the cafe's little logo hand stamped onto the front of it. Once the food was wrapped, she popped a lid on top of Suri's drink, a flat one if she'd asked for no cream and a rounded one if she had before then fitting a straw in for the other Majin. "Alright! Here you both are!" She'd slide one bag next to the hetap for Desmond, and slide the other with the chocolate drink to Suri. Both bags even had a name on them, for Desmond it was his own name since he'd mentioned it, for Suri it read "Miss Majin" to be polite back. Both of course got some cute little hearts as well.
Patrona looked a bit surprised to hear another enter the establishment shortly there after, it was a young Saiyan or at least he looked pretty Saiyan and he wanted 20 boxes of doughnuts, yep, got to be a saiyan! Patrona would smile, "You sure can! If you could come over here for a moment and pick out which types you'd like to get for my friend here, he can box them all up for you!" She'd motion off to the right where the display case was for Russe, the friend she was mentioning was the one who'd been cooking just before, "Do you think you could handle this one for me, bud? I'd love to stay longer but I should go check on Torta!" Her workmate gave her a thumbs up of course, she was supposed to get off minutes ago afterall and another of her workmates had shown up just in time to take her place. "Thank you buddy!!" And with that she'd untie, hang up her apron and snagged a croissant from the display case, before then coming out from behind the counter.
The pink majin would wander back over the the other three, smiled and then asked, "It was a pleasure having you both drop by! Where are you two headed after this if it's okay to ask? I'm off now and I haven't got too much planned today myself!"

Suri PL: 16,000
It was relieving to know that Patrona found herself in the same boat sometimes. With Patrona reassuring her, Suri smiled back with no hint of anxiousness left. "Thanks."
"Eheheheheh.....hmm." Suri nervously laughed to herself, because she was one of those many people! Sometimes. "...Oh! I forgot to say my name, sorry about that. I'm Suri."
Whipped cream? Definitely a "yes. Wiff with cream, please." Suri smiled at the thought of wiff with cr- "...Wiff whip cr...with wiff... W i t h...w h i p p e d...cream, please." said Suri, before one of her hands hid the blush of purple visible on her face.
Removing her hand, Suri could see that both her and Desmond's orders were on the cash registers already. She didn't find this to be impressive, until she realized that Patrona had to put both of their orders down. Patrona worked fast! Suri took her wallet out, took the appropriate amount of Zeni out of it, and put her wallet back inside her pocket. The exact amount, no need for change. She was ready to pay for her food, analog style.
While waiting, Suri attempted to whistle a random song. She didn't know how to whistle, though, so this came out in monotone wind sounds instead, and she stopped herself shortly after.
The wait time for their food was short as well. Aw, the paper bag was cute. So cute, she didn't want to throw it away afterwards. Well, she supposed she could just come again. "Thank you!", she said, to both Patrona and her coworker. Suri held both her bag and her drink so they'd be still, setting them in place on the counter. She paid Patrona, picked up her food and drink, and took a step back. Then, she took a sniff inside her bag, and she caught a whiff of the bread, cheese, ham, and jam. Yum!
Suri was about to turn to take a seat when another person entered the cafe, a blue haired...Saiyan, judging from his tail, and his appetite. Twenty donuts! Wait, no, twenty boxes of donuts! That was an impressive amount, right? Patrona left that order to her coworker, and that reminded Suri that Patrona's shift had ended.
Suri waited for Patrona to hang her apron, take her croissant like she said earlier, and step out. "The pleasure was all mine- err, ours?" Since Desmond was here too, whom Suri looked at while she corrected herself. "I don't have plans either..." Suri was probably going to wander the city aimlessly if left alone, maybe check out some random restaurants, but that was about it.
"...Err, wait, you don't have plans? What about...'Torta'?"
Fun fact: Zeni is worth the same amount as Japanese Yen!

|| Desmond's PL: 3,000 || Desmond has the Anti-Sense trait ||
“Do I now? Aw well I cannot argue with an expert, can I?” Desmond wasn’t unaware of how ‘infectious’ his positive attitude was in a lot of ways— being as large as he was, he turned heads, and it was his personality that kept the attention there, it was pretty normal for him all things considered.
He didn’t argue with Patrona’s return of thanks, he understood that the conversation could lead into an unending spiral of gratitude. The point was made, the both of them were thankful. He didn’t even pay any mind to Suri’s nervousness, he didn’t want the young lady to feel pressured in any way; despite any problems with pronunciation, she got to what she wanted in the end, and it earned her a reassuring smile from Desmond.
Desmond nodded, and took the Hetap from the counter— choosing to pay electronically via his card, quickly allowing Patrona to go about her business. “There you are.” After his croissants had been brought along, Desmond took note of the little bag, it was thematically on point, and rather wholesome. He would have to make a note to tell Carro to take Sulfur here sometime.
Like Suri, Desmond was about to take a seat until another entered the café, a Saiyan, very obviously given his choice of order. Desmond could relate, since he was technically part Saiyan. Patrona quickly directed the Saiyan lad to someone so that his order could be sorted out and soon emerged from behind the counter— apparently she was either on break or done for the day? “I agree,” Desmond gestured to Suri since she spoke up first. “The pleasure is ours. I have a few hours of free time myself before returning to work.” Admittedly he was also curious about this ‘Torta’ that was mentioned, but didn’t want to step on Suri’s toes over the question. “How about we all sit down and talk? If we dawdle around up here we might get in the way.”
