Earth, the blue jewel of the Milky Way, and home to the race known as Earthlings. It was a planet that Scallio knew very little about. Due in part to the fact that he'd never had a reason to interact with the world. His contracts in that past had kept Scallio and his men confined to the parts of the galaxy seeped in war and conflict. Such things were good for business after all. The Saiyan eyed the blue giant with curiosity. His ship began its slow descent into the planet's atmosphere. Just what exactly would await he and his crew upon the planet's surface?
He was eager to find out.
The Renegade had touched down on Earth just over an hour ago. They were a day or two behind their estimated time of arrival on the planet. The detour to complete the contract on WS-45 had taken a fair bit longer than Scallio had thought it would. His own fault for underestimating the wizard and overestimating Kale and Cumber's ability to get things done effectively. Mistakes that he wouldn't be making in the future. As this was his first time within Earthspace, Scallio had needed to register his ship within their system.
A task that he'd left in Narissa's capable hands. She'd been a bit upset, after all, she was looking forward to exploring the planet, seeing all the tech they had to offer. There would be plenty of time for her to do that after registering the ship. The mercenary leader had instructed the rest of his men to go and familiarize themselves with the planet. With additional orders to Kale and Cumber to behave and stay out of trouble. He didn't want to start causing problems quite so soon after arriving. They wouldn't exactly be able to help Date and Lisha deal with their family, if they were being kicked off the planet now, could they?
Speaking of Date and Lisha. Scallio told them to give he and his men at least day on Earth before getting started with their contract. As they were entirely unaware of how life on Earth function. The two had done their best to assist them on that matter. But one could only learn so much from words alone.
The Saiyan Mercenary stepped out from the Spaceport and into the large part of Central City. He stood out amongst the populace. Still clad in full battle attire as he casual strolled through the city streets. Scallio hadn't thought anything of it at first. What attire like his was what you'd typically expect to see on planets like Vegeta. It wasn't until he started to hear the whispers from those around him that the realization happened. "I'm drawing far too much attention to myself." he muttered, "It's going to be impossible to get anything done like this." he said with a groan. "Perhaps it would be best if I purchase a change of clothes. Something to help me fit in amongst the Earthlings." yes, that sounded like an excellent idea. There was just one itsy bitsy problem with that plan.
Scallio had absolutely no idea where anything was in this city. The Saiyan sighed, coming unknowingly to a stop in the middle of a the street. "Maybe I should have asked Date or Lisha to show me around." another statement spoken to himself, as he folded his arms against his chest. The Saiyan was so focused on his thoughts that he'd become aware he was in the street yet. He also wasn't aware of that a car was quickly making its way towards him. Poised to collide directly into him.
Scallio's time on Earth really wasn't off to a good start. tags + notes OOC★ dandy ♫

Zhalla's PL: 10,000
Zhalla had her routine for today down pat, almost beat for beat. She wasted no time in getting up, attending to the shelter and the kids there before heading out to do daily errand tasks like stocking more food up again for the kids, while she also looked for more work to take up to be able to afford such. Sometimes it was a hard thing to juggle and she wished somehow she could make that juggle easier but for now, the saiyan would just have to manage as she was. Truthfully, meeting the other Saiyan, Nero at Punchin' Pancakes not that long back had also done wonders to help in lifting the kids spirits, many of them asking her on when he'd be coming to visit again even. For now she had no answer, but today was Pancake day so today she'd be finding out. Or at least she had planned to. Her plan and routine started to become interrupted though when someone caught her eye after she had rounded onto a street while trying to make her way to the breakfast establishment. She'd recognize that sort of attire anywhere, she still had some of her own laying around somewhere too. The outfit itself wasn't just out of place though, the individual who had it on also seemed to be in the same boat, and eventually he wandered out onto the open road and stopped right in the middle of it. " Oh you have got to be kidding me-" Maybe he'd never visited Earth before? It was the only thing she could think of to explain why he'd not know to not stand in the middle of the road. She had a speed advantage here though since she was on her motorbike, and while she did have a bag of stuff she'd already collected up together to take home later for the kids in the back basket that she didn't want to have tip, she might have to compromise that just this once since she wasn't about to just sit by and wait for the oncoming cars to hit the oblivious Saiyan. Letting off a light huff she'd slip up her visor so it'd be easier to call out to him, as she sped her bike up a little to ensure she reached the red mohawked man before the cars did. She was still on her side of the road, so she wouldn't have to worry about trying to turn again in time, the increased speed and getting there in time was her only worries for now, " Hey!" She'd shout out to him in hopes of getting him out of his thoughts at the least, and at the most to get his attention. Keeping one hand steady on the steering bars of her bike, she used the other to first motion to the back of her bike to him before then reach out to him if he needed it, " Hop on, I wouldn't advise standin' in the middle of the road while you ponder, not exactly the safest thinking spot" if he took her help or not was up to him, but she at least attempted to get him out of harms way.

Date & Lisha Thread PLs: 26,976 & 14,009
Lisha has the scouter and will show up later in the thread.
Date has his bike/1 person pod in this thread.
The mission detour, although it delayed theur trip here, brought the crew a good amount of cash! It meant they could get some of the decent folk on their side when they started the takeover. Date wasn't too earnest to get the business under his name, so when Scallio requested he and Lisha get them affiliated, he wasn't opposed at all. Especially after Cumber and Kale held both Scallio and Date back on the swamp planet!
Date was getting his bike in order, heading right to registration afterwards and getting his papers in order. Lisha, too, came to registration before returning to the Renegade to help the others out to registration, and to also keep them in line. Scallio managed to beat them out the port, so the saiyan got on his bike and rolled out, telling Lisha, "Gonna make sure Boss-guy's not getting himself in trouble! You got this?"
"Yep! We'll catch up later."
Date gave a thumbs up and peeled out to the street, sensing the guy was near by. Date whipped around the corner opposite of the other saiyan on her bike. Date blinked, thinking in hus head as the girl was waving to Scallio standing in the middle of the street, 'Well that's something you don't see often... But why did it have to involve Scallio?!'
The girl, clearly a saiyan with the tail on her, was trying to get Scallio off the road before the cars came through. Date flipped a red switch at the central section of his bike, causing the vehicle to go into, 'hovercraft mode.' It involved doing a wheelie, the front wheel going horizontal and emitting a blue energy that propelled the vehicle off the ground and the backwheel doing the same! He went over the other cars as he sped up, faster moving now than the other rider.
He flipped himself upside down and maintained on the vehicle as he held an arm out to snag Scallio by the back of his armor, calling out, "Yoinking him outta the way, Red!"
He wasn't anticipating if Scallio would move or not. Regardless, Date would end up at the other side and perform a turn around somersault at the other side of the road, on a empty section of sidewalk, using a bit of his own energy to make this happen easier! He'd deactivate the hovercraft mode and park the bike there for a moment and call out Scallio, "You know, I can't help you out with the Earth stuff if you jump ahead like that, Scal, and then go standing in front of moving vehicles in thought!"

PL: 35,000
Scallio's situation had quickly taken an interesting turn as things continued to progress. Beginning with the red-haired Saiyan and her fast approach towards the mercenary. He'd still been caught up in his thoughts, stuck on how exactly to go about locating a clothing store. When the woman's voice hit his ears, just barely managing to pull him from the trivial thoughts that plagued him. "Huh?" Scallio questioned with a puzzled look it took him a second to find the source of the shout.
His eyes falling upon the female biker as she slid into position in front of him. Scallio wasn't sure what had surprised him the most. The fact she'd made such a dramatic interest or the fact she so casually offered a stranger a seat on her bike. There was also the fact that she'd said something about him standing in the middle of the street. The Saiyan couldn't help but blink at her, clearly taken aback by her sudden approach.
He barely had enough time to react to the woman's entrance or get a reply off in terms of her statement. As Date, a man who he'd been thinking about just a moment ago, made an equally if not more dramatic of an entrance. The whole thing played out like something ripped straight from an action movie. Date's bike switching into hover mode and flipping overhead. Of course, Scallio didn't see any of that. He only caught the tail of Date's stunt, looking up as the shadow of the man and his bike enveloped him. "Date? What the-" he managed to get out before being pulled from the road by the man.
This was definitely not how Scallio had pictured his first time on Earth being. Although, it was 'nice' to see that his pension for stumbling upon...unique scenarios had followed even to Earth. Scallio landed with Date on the sidewalk quickly tugging himself free from the man's grip. "I had no idea I was standing in the street." he muttered, slightly ashamed he'd done something so foolish. "Clearly." he added, "Thank you for the assistance." Scallio wasn't without some form of manner. He sighed, "This planet....is different...from the others I've been on." he said bluntly before turning his attention towards the female Saiyan. She too had tried to aide him before something dangerous had taken place. Scallio probably would have taken her help to if Date had shown up when he did.
"Thanks." he shouted, waving the woman over to him and Date. "If you couldn't tell..." he motioned to his clothing, "I'm not quite familiar with this planet just yet." his tone was dry, almost bored, as if the situation was something that had happened to him often.

Thankfully, her shout hadn't gone unheard and was successful in snapping Scallio out of whatever he was lost in thought about moments ago. While she usually wouldn't offer a seat on her bike to just anyone she made an exception this time if only to help this lost Saiyan man get off the road without becoming a pancake or causing a massive traffic accident. Or both. He seemed a bit stunned at her though and before either of them could really do anything else, someone else had swung in to also help him out. She'd never met the other man either but the way he switched his bike out into a different mode and the extent he went to, to help this other Saiyan off the road suggested that maybe these two did know each other. Either way the mohawked man was eventually off the road, safe and sound and that was the part that mattered.
Zhalla was quick to flip her visor back down and ride her bike off to the side of the road as well, parking it along the sidewalk the two boys had ended up on. That's when she noticed she had been shouted a word of thanks and was being waved over by the saiyan who had just walked out into the middle of the road. She paused for a moment before turning off her bike and hopping off it as well, thinking she should at least check to make sure the two were alright after that stunt. "Oh I can tell alright" Stopping by the two, she would unclip her helmet and pull it off, letting her orange curls bounce out of the helmet before resting on her shoulders and back. "It's been a while since I've seen a Saiyan in full armour like that though I must admit" He sounded pretty bored for someone who almost got hit by oncoming traffic. Definitely a Saiyan.
When he pointed out he wasn't familiar with the planet yet she'd huff a strand of hair our of her face. "Well, For sure don't go doing that again, at least not on this planet" He probably knew that one by this point though. She hadn't been to her race's home planet in years, she wondered why these two were here, was it a visit or was there more of a reason? "Well, uh, Welcome to Planet Earth, I'm Zhalla by the way, I hope you're both alright after all that" She'd hold out a leather gloved hand for both of them if they wished to take it in greeting. "Do you guys need to get somewhere or? Need any help I could assist with?" She had been on this big blue planet for most of her life now, if she could help a fellow Saiyan with the knowledge she'd gotten from those years, then she was going to offer that help.

"You had no- Well, now you know. You're welcome..."
Date huffed frustration out of him. Sure, he was stronger than Date, but being caught off guard could've meant broken bones for even someone like him! It didn't help that Scallio called over the redhead on the other bike, thanking her for getting him wary. She took her helmet off, revealing long and curly red hair. She quickly acknowledged Scallio's foreign mind before speaking about the saiyan armor that he wore! It also didn't go over Date's head that she was nearly a foot taller than him.
"Yeah, it's also the style on Vegeta," Date replied, leaning forward on his bike with forearms extended to rest on the handlebars, "Granted, his is actually functional compared to most."
After telling Scallio not to do that again, she introduced herself as Zhalla. Her demeanor, despite being a saiyan herself, was very pleasant like an Earthling. It wouldn't have surprised the Karingan descendant if she was actually. She aimed to shake their hands, so Date got off his bike and went to shake her hand. She inquired if they needed a guide, essentially. Date shrugged, saying, "Date, like the warlord. I'm actually an Earth-born saiyan, myself. Part of the Karinga tribe, in fact! I went off world with my cousin, the former Z-TV reporter Lisha Wolfbane, to catch up on my work before I met Scallio here. I'm sure I can guide him around, but I wouldn't be opposed to you joining us and showing us anything new that may have shown up in the recent months!"

The female Saiyan approached as Scallio waved her over. Expressing that she hadn't seen a Saiyan clad in full armor in quite some time. While also letting him know that he shouldn't go standing around in the middle of the street again. "Noted." he said with a nod. He definitely wouldn't be doing that again that much was certain. Even for as strong as Scallio was he wasn't immune to harm if caught off guard. Getting hit by the car might not have killed him but it would have caused some damage.
As she removed her helmet Scallio took the time to examine her. The first thing that Scallio couldn't help but notice was the fact she seemed taller than him. If only by a couple of inches, just barely enough for it to be noticeable. The next thing, was, of course, her orange hair and freckles. "A hybrid?" or maybe she just dyed her hair. It wasn't exactly an uncommon thing Scallio did it himself after all. Not that it made any sort of difference to Scallio. The Saiyan didn't exactly pay too much attention to those sort of things.
She introduced herself as Zhalla and welcomed the duo to Earth Although it was more like welcoming just Scallio to the planet, Date was already quite familiar with Earth. Something Scallio's fellow mercenary was quick to state as he introduced himself. "Scallio." attempting to be friendly the Saiyan outstretched a hand to Zhalla. Regardless of it she accepted the handshake or not Scallio would continue to speak. "The offer to be my guide is appreciate." if Date hadn't shown up it would have desperately needed as well.
"Date is right, you're more than welcome to tag along as I get more familiar with the Earth. I can treat you to lunch as thanks for helping me out." not to mention it be good to make some connections on the planet outside of Date. Getting connections, yet another thing added to Scallio's to-do-list while on Earth. "Before that though...." the mercenary motioned towards his clothing and then to the Earthlings whose eyes were currently on them. "it probably be for the best if I purchased a change of clothes." something that let him draw less attention. "A city this big has to have a wide selection of clothing stores." between Date and Zhalla surely one them would know of one that was nearby.

When Date pointed out the outfit Scallio was wearing was the style on Vegeta she would nod, "It's pretty hard to miss when it's on Earth in a place like this too, I have my own somewhere at home still, been ages since I've worn it though I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't fit anymore" When it was mentioned his was actually functional though she frowned lightly, "Huh, any reason for that? You guys here for work reasons or something?"
When she shook hands with Date she seemed to have a pretty firm grip, though it was still a friendly shake. Letting him explain a bit about himself for a moment, she'd speak back up again only once he finished. "It's nice to meet you Date, that was some quick thinking you had back there by the way" She said, referring back to the stunt he pulled to get his friend off of the road. "I wasn't born on Earth, but I did grow up here for the most part." The Karinga tribe part was pretty interesting and so was the part about his cousin, she smiled lightly before giving another nod, "Well I don't mind helping, but at least he's got someone to help keep him outta trouble"
Looking back to Scallio as he too then introduced himself, when he put out his hand she would take it and shake it like she had done with Date just before, firm but friendly. "Well it's nice to meet you as well Scallio, I love what you've done with your hair by the way" She'd smile again as she gave it a look over again, while her hair was naturally the way it was now, she did enjoy seeing others put a bit of colour in theirs every now and then when they wanted to and his made him stand out that bit more or at least she thought so, he'd be one who'd be hard to lose in a crowd at least.
Zhalla seemed a bit surprised when Scallio mentioned the part about lunch, "Oh! That's awful sweet of you, you don't have to do that but it wouldn't go unappreciated" When he motioned to his clothing and then to the people going past who'd give him looks and stares, the Saiyan women would bite her lower lip for a moment, "That would probably be a good idea to start with, hmmm" She'd look up the street and then down it for a moment, she knew where a number of clothing stores were but had also never had to really get anything clothing wise for a male of his age and size before, they had sections for adult males still but she wasn't sure what exactly was there. "Well I know of one close by that's just up around the corner there-" She'd point down the road, towards where she had been heading originally when she was still on the bike. "But there are plenty of places to choose from, we could start there though and check out other ones if you'd like? Got any preference on what you'd wanna wear or do you not mind?" She was pretty sure it wouldn't be highly minded thing for him, if he even knew of any Earthling clothes anyway, but knowing could help narrow something down for them.

Scallio was good with Zhalla, who admitted to being a saiyan soldier of some sort. She also complimented Date's fast wit, before explaining she'd been on Earth for must of her life. She did inquire what they were doing here on Earth, although Scallio was first focused on getting some basic clothes to work for him.
"Clothes would be a good idea," Date replied to Scallio, before looking back up to the tall girl, "As for your inquiry, I actually hired him to do some work for me. Payment method on a need to know basis between him and I, but I can say it's a handsome amount."
Date didn't give a damn. He wasn't worried about his family. As far as he was concerned, they weren't keen at looking at what he was doing. Even if he did arrive here with someone stronger than him!
"He's probably got it, but just in case, I'll cover additional costs," Date quipped with a grin, getting back over to his back and sitting on it. He continued, "Scal, hop on. Zhalla, is the Gorgeous Gents still in business? While he's here, he may as well get a Earth tuxedo too!"
The Mercenary asked about this place because it was one of the few places he could go without anyone from the Harborage asking questions or starting stuff. It was there sacred nook, so to speak. Anyone who started anything had their hands bound and rears knocked out of the store, with an extremely sizable bounty on their head. It'd ruin anyone's reputation and make them known by all groups that gave a damn.

PL: 35,000
Scallio found it slightly odd that Zhalla didn't know if her armor fit anymore. How could a Saiyan be unaware of such a thing? Battle armor was vital in the life of a warrior after all. It had managed to save his life countless times in the past. The obvious explanation, at least in Scallio's eyes, was that being on Earth had afforded Zhalla the ability to not know. Just from what little of the planet he'd seen Scallio had come to the collision that it was rather peaceful. So he didn't imagine a need for armor arose very often. "Yes, the Earthlings seem to have a very...unique sense of fashion." that wasn't saying much coming from Scallio though. He'd spent most of his life surrounded by men and women in armor. So anything but was bound to seem a little off to the Saiyan.
The functional design, as Date had described it, of his armor had managed to pique Zhalla's interest it seemed. Not on the armor itself but rather on Scallio's intent on Earth. Date was quick to give a reply but left most of the details to the imagination. Scallio frowned slightly, "It's like he said, he hired me and my men to handle a job for him." his arms unfolded from his chest, his right hand moving to inside of his pants pocket. "I lead a mercenary company named the Crimson Apes." the Saiyan let out a sigh. "We're a relatively small group all things considered." a hint of disappointment was held within Scallio's tone. Even if he didn't like it that didn't stop it from being the truth.
"If you weren't born on Earth does that mean you were on Vegeta then?" he was curious to hear her answer. Not that her answer mattered one way or the other. Scallio himself hadn't been born on Vegeta but rather on some far off planet. As Zhalla reached out and shook his hand Scallio couldn't help but be a bit surprised. It didn't show on his face, however. He hadn't been expecting such a firm handshake from the woman. "Ah, yes, my mohawk." he said with a nod, "I dyed it a bit impulsively when I was younger. My own little rebellion against my father. It's certainly grown on me since then." the Saiyan ran a hand through his red locks as he spoke. "I like your hair as well. You don't see many Saiyans with orange hair and freckles." Zhalla's appearance definitely was different than your typical Saiyan.
"It's the least we can do for helping me out" besides, Scallio didn't exactly like the feeling of being indebted to anyone. So treating Zhalla to some good food was a way of balancing the scales in Scallio's mind. Something that Date seemed to at least agree with somewhat. Date also had placed to go for clothing in mind as well. "Gorgeous Gents? That sounds fancy." something Date confirmed almost immediately by mentioning a tuxedo. "What's a tuxedo?" he inquired, he'd never heard of such a thing before. The name alone made him picture something akin to robes. Although he didn't imagine that was quite right. When Date offered Scallio a ride on his bike the Saiyan shook his head. "If it's alright with you I'd much rather fly." wait, was that strange? "Unless...that's not something very common on Earth." god, adjusting to a new planet was always a hassle.

Zhalla would tap on her chin lightly with one finger as she listened to the two boys and how they explained how they met through Date hiring Scallio for work, the handsome amount of payment peaked her interested but she did her best to not let it show all that much. "Oh?" She would place a hand on her hip for a moment after Scallio mentioned that he was the lead of a mercenary company, "I do mercenary work myself, though it's been more on and off recently and for whoever offers rather then a company type of thing" He seemed rather disappointed that the company was still rather small in size, "For now, I'm sure your numbers will grow overtime" Now this did interest her and that did indeed show.
The female Saiyan would laugh lightly when Scallio said that Earthlings had a unique fashion sense, of course it would seem that way for him though, "I used to think the same when I first came here, don't worry" She'd then nod when he asked about where she was born, "Vegeta born, Earth raised though, mostly at least, it's been a while but I think it was just before my teen years that I came here to stay" Listening when he explained about his mohawk she found herself finding a smile hearing that it was mostly done to rebel against his father but eventually grew on him, funny how things worked out like that sometimes, usually most people regretted rebellious things they did in their younger years. "Well it's certainly fitting for a guy who runs a group with a name like the Crimson Apes, that's for sure" She'd follow this up with a thankful nod when he mentioned about her hair as well, aside from the President she hadn't seen another Saiyan yet with the lighter hair colours. "Wish I had a story to go with it like yours! But I'm not sure how I got either, probably a non-Saiyan somewhere in the family tree or something like that"
When Date then asked about if Gorgeous Gents was still in business she'd promptly nod, "Oh yeah, they're doing very well business wise last I saw" She'd then look to Scallio and then back to Date again, if the mohawked Saiyan thought regular Earthling clothes were odd, she wondered what he was going to think of tuxedos. Sure enough, he asked about what one even was. "Oh it's a uh" She'd frown lightly before tapping on her lips for a moment in thought, "It's a suit but rather then being like a suit of armour for battle it's more like a fancy suit for formal things" She hoped that would at least clarify them a little bit but he would see them soon either way. When Scallio then mentioned that he'd rather fly there she'd cast her gaze back to Date, "I wouldn't say it's uncommon on Earth, a vehicle is much more used but some do fly" She wasn't so sure about leaving her bike though, "You could fly and we could ride since we know the way? What do you think, Date?"

The two talked to each other some more, while Date listened in. Scallio opened up a little more about himself to this new person, who'd also been a mercenary! She'd been on and off, which was another way of saying they were lacking work. They even expressed interest, although they were reluctant!
"Scallio, it's not too hard to find our style on Vegeta," Date retorted, "Hell, my family's got this tradition that they gotta go visit Vegeta and live there for a year! Basically learn who we are as a whole, not just the Karinga in us. Earth's style and stuff's been getting to Vegeta very easily, even with the WTF incident."
Scallio then gave a retort that he should fly instead. However, after what just happened, Date disapproved with a shake of his head. He told him, "After how you were nearly the reason for a car accident, I'd say you gotta wait. There's also hovercraft traffic at certain sections that you can get caught by. So, before you start flying, you gotta learn more about that..."
"Date, Scallio!
The voice was Date's cousin, Lisha, who'd finally caught up with the others in tow. She and the others were walking through a crosswalk, with Lisha ushering them along like a tour guide. Once they were all across, the short and stout woman ran over, a grin on her face. She was clearly glad her ordeal was over in the check in area. She looked at enormous saiyan, Zhalla, and said, "I see you two've been getting friendly with the locals! Hi there, Miss. My name's Lisha Wolfbane."
Date shrugged, replying, "Well, Scallio almost caused an accident by walking into the middle of traffic and stopping there. Now he's insistent on flying instead of walking."
"... I feel grey hairs coming on," she replied, the thought running through her head. She continued, reluctantly, "However, I can be chaperone to him and the others. I'm assuming you're riding your bike to... Where was it that you were planning on going?"
Date smiled, mischievous in demeanor. Lisha didn't like it.
"We're gonna get Scallio and I a suit for the formal gatherings with Zhalla here. Now that I think about it, Kale and the others need a tuxedo as well."
Date was being ever so blunt about it, and it was amusing to think about it. Kale, of all in the group since they started practically living with the Crimson Apes, was bound to be the most troubled by having to be still so people could measure him out! He'd hate it. However, after the incident along the way here, Date figured that could serve as punishment for being a fool. He revved his bike up, saying, "Alright. Let's get going! Zhalla, we'll get a move on while my cousin leads them there."
Lisha and the others have caught up! Lisha's being made leader while Date gets ready to move! Feel free to guide Date around on the ground and Lisha in the air, guys. :D
