Casca readjusted her disguise as she stood uncomfortably on the outskirts of the Grand Elder Village with hopefully her great friend the Dandyman. Dragging her hat further over her face, bumping into her oversized sunglasses, Casca knew she looked like a mess.
“I still don’t know why I have to wear this,” the Saiyan either questioned her friend or meant to ask tell him later why he insisted earlier that she should wear a disguise. It was hot, even hotter when you're wearing three different layers to help throw the planet's police force off her trail.
Casca pulled the collar of her leather jacket up to her nose as she waited for any signs of the new Guru. “He isn’t coming,” she might have well have just said it to herself. Discouraged, Casca retreated into the Village.
Not really understanding magic, walking through the Elder’s Village, Casca thought if she kept walking, she would eventually encounter something. She needed to justify to Flip that this was the right way to do things. Stay in the green for as long as they could was the plan, and that meant taking the new Guru hostage!
What Casca really meant was to politely ask Oboe to give them his blessing, as they continue, once again to find the Dragon Balls, fulfilling their destiny.

Flip's PL: 10,654
"Nobody said you had to wear that," Flip responded, as the pair of them walked towards the Namekian village. Sure, Casca was a fugitive on Vegeta, but that was, well, on Vegeta. He doubted anyone even knew Casca was even on Namek. Flip wished he could do something to ease his friend's paranoia, but at the same time, seeing her in such an obvious getup was kind of funny. Well, give her time. She will ease up eventually. "Well, if anyone asks, you have sensitive skin. After all, this planet does have three suns."
There was no doubt in Flip's mind that the pair of them would stand out in the village. A pair of humans, amongst a village of namekians. But as long as they kept cool and didn't cause any trouble, he doubted they would get any trouble in return. They had the advantage of being relative unknowns on Namek. If they played their cards right, they could get the dragonballs without having to raise a fist. That was the best way to get things done. If you can avoid conflict, it was best to do so. Getting into fights needlessly would only hurt them in the long run.
"Chance Encounters" Where Destiny and Reality Meet
“I thought you said to wear it,” Casca sounded pissed as she tore off the heavy coat, sweatshirt, extra pair of pants, gloves, hat, and sunglasses. Wanting to put gasoline on that trash and watch the flames, the Saiyan changed her mind before continuing her walk with Flip.
“You know, Namekians don’t eat? Weird right, probably because they have never tried something like Saiba-wolf chops,” the young woman stated just as her stomach started to rumble. “What if people visiting Namek get hungry hungry?" What a coincidence. "Are there Namekian cooks? Always making food they can never have, maybe this place is really Hell. You ever think of that?”
Casca leaned against a wall running adjacent with the road. Wondering what they were doing here, Casca yelled at the world, “There has to be something to do here besides find the Dragon Balls!”

Thread Power Level: 126,250 | [UT] Ki Suppression active. Current Sensed PL: 20,000 ”Namek still has fauna, you know. If you’re competent you can catch a few meals for yourself.”
The voice came from nearby. Behind one building or another, the tone seemed casual yet ominous in its own way.
Just as suddenly as the person had spoke, they appeared. Slinking out of the shadows like a hunter in the night. He certainly didnt look the part of some big evil hunter, though. The Saiyan across from the duo wore traditional Kingdom armor, with a heavy cloak covering most of his body. At best, he could have been a general on vacation, unless they recognized his face, of course.
”Shouting about Dragon Balls is a quick way to get in trouble. Not everyone looking for them has the heart of a saint. I bet that extends to the both of you as well.”
Vocado gave Casca a harsh look, the blue scouter on his eye beeping intently. He didnt need the machine anymore, but it never hurt to put it to use. As expected from his own senses, the woman before him wasn’t much of a fighter. She could tussle with the grunts, sure, but in a fight with importance behind it, she’d lose. The Dragon Balls would be torn from her hands in seconds.
The village was quiet, but still activity thrived. Across the way, a small group of Namekian children played, practicing their materialization magic. One of them conjured a big toy ape, while another summoned an Arcosian. It was surprising, to say the least, that the children thought so fondly of the battles that’d occurred here. Almost as if they wished they’d been a part of it.
”Either of you able to sense Ki? There’s things here much stronger than either of you. Strong enough to rip your heart out with a wink. I’d quit while you’re ahead.”

"What do we all have here." Kraktus grinned his scouter beeping to life. He had picked up some powerlevels. Higher than any of the Namekian warrior who had tried to hunt him. After killing that poor Namekian farmer he had been fighting the damn warriors showing them why he was General Kraktus. Some piss poor warrior who had not even left namek had no place defeating someone of his status. Power levels of <8,000> and <10,000> were more a threat to him. He had headed to the Grand Elder Village, he assumed he could convince whatever old fart ruled the planet to stop having warriors chase him or else he might end up without a head. Guess he was not seeing who was giving off such power.
His scouter blinked a third power was in that little area. Seems they had just arrived as well? No matter he'd walked out he'd noticed the three he had been looking for. Two of them he had no idea about. That was to be expected. Their power while impressive to a normal being was nothing compared to his god given ability. The third man, on the other hand, was someone had he heard of. The former king Vocado. He'd checked his scouter agian, surely the man should be stronger than this? Then he remembers that techquine Bloom had used. She had hidden her power. Guess Vocado was doing the same. "You all seemed exicited for these games on Namek." Krkatus approached the three grinning under his beard of tentacles. "I can't wait to watch and see how you all fuck it up." Powerlevel:72,000

"Well, they do grow cabbage here." Flip replied, "Not sure why, but it is something." When Casca basically projected to the entire world that they were seeking the dragon balls, Flip was this close to spinning around and clasping a hand over her mouth. For someone who wanted her family revived so badly, she was making this needlessly difficult for them.
And someone heard them. Flip turned as he saw a cloaked Saiyan step out of the darkness, telling the pair of them to simply quit. Flip more than understood that there were those stronger than him. But if you simply stood down because there were those stronger than you, than you would never get anywhere. "I may not be able to sense ki just yet, but I can tell a strong man when I see one." Indeed, this individual seemed quite strong. But there was something about him. Something familiar. Where had he seen that face before?
But before he could dwell on it further, another strong individual joined the discussion. A large, purple, squid faced alien, dressed in the armour of the World Trade Fleet. Well, this was just great, wasn't it? Saiyans, AND the WTF were both here on the planet, and unlike the Saiyan, who was at least being cordial, this cuttlefish was being quite rude. Granted, he seemed to be much stronger than all three of them put together. It just chafed at Flip. He hated being looked down upon.
"Well ain't this just great. Some balls appear and this place becomes more popular than a rock concert," Ok, keep calm Flip. You can work your way out of this situation. You've dealt with stronger people as well. At least the two newcomers were natural enemies of eachother. But right now, best to keep quiet and see how this goes.
"Chance Encounters" Where Destiny and Reality Meet
Leaning against the small wall, Casca listened to what Flip had to say. As healthy and nutritious as cabbage was, it was still Cabbage. No one actually likes Cabbage. If you ever meet someone that does, they’re lying to you!
“Mhmm, cabbage. I don’t think I’m that hungry,” the Saiyan’s said with a forced laugh immediately followed by her stomach growling and betraying her. With all this talk of "delicious" food, Casca dropped her attention from her surroundings.
What she already knew about the village was that the Grand Elder Village was extremely old, much of the land and most if not all of the people and their structures are held in the highest of regards here on Namek. Believed to be the birthplace of Namekian civilization, it is the first village.
Which is why the Saiyan assumed they were safe. Even on the way into town, Flip and Casca walked by a Grand Elder training the next class of the next Dragon Clansmen. The security was what you would expect for a place worshipped and pilgrimaged too multiple times a year by the planet’s most dedicated believers and students.
That’s when Casca made her first mistake.
All the years of Casca honing her skills to become a hyper-aware soldier go out the window if you’re not paying attention. Frozen to her core, the Saiyan’s body was physically reacting to the new presence that invaded their space. From a voice, she somehow knew the danger, a danger she couldn’t believe she could forget.
The memory buried itself, not wanting to be relived as Casca strained to retrieve it. A memory so abhorrent that she felt the need to warn Flip. Whispering to her friend, Casca tried to get him to understand the gravity of the situation. “I think I’ve seen the aftermath of this guy, there was nothing left.” Still not believing Flip would believe her, another man entered the scene.
The Saiyan woman was incredible off her game, allowing to be entrapped between two chance encounters that could change everything. Casca didn’t know who to fear more, but in a moment of weakness, once again her body failed her. Submitting to the gravity of what was at stake with the Dragon Balls, she decided to play ball, “Draaaggggon!”
The Saiyan exhaled, “Balls will choose their owner soon enough. No sense fighting about it now,” she hesitated as she tried to remain calm, hoping nobody noticed the swelling of golden Ki across the right side of her body. “Anybody know a good place to get something to eat around here?” She forced a smile at the two new people before her.
And now her second mistake, asking them if they wanted to sit down.
The duo were mincemeat in the cutthroat world of magic, but the third arrival was a hair different. Garbed in Fleet attire, the squid-faced alien spoke his meager threat with as much intensity as he could muster. In a different era, the Saiyan might have been at least wary of the soldier across from him. Such a luxury did not extend to his foe, though, and instead his taunt was met with a laugh.
"One of Chill's lapdogs stuck around on Namek, eh? Did the leash get cut willingly, or did you perform so poorly that he abandoned you?"
Vocado stepped closer, a smirk on his features. Casca spoke up again, but the once-king ignored her incoherent ramblings. If the squid wanted to play ball, then Vocado would pop it in the first round.
Standing uneasily close to the Fleet-borne soldier, Vocado glared into his foe's eyes with contempt. The rest of the village seemed to quiet even more now. Some watched the confrontation, while other villagers had run back into their homes.
"Come on. Show me what a homeless fish can do."

"Not just any balls. The Dragonballs. Though my goal is pretty simple with them. Just get rid of them. They really are an annoyance." Krkatus stroked his beard as he observed Vocado. The taunts for the former king did not suit him. He should have known that speakings so highly had only brought him pain. Guess the king's ego needed another whipping. The saiyan girl asked if they knew a good place to eat. Krkatus looked puzzled, "I do not. Though I could go for a bite to eat." Kraktus turned to look at Vocado. "Baha. Lapdog to Chill? You're Mistaken. If I was his dog you'd be Kayen's runaway beast would you not be." He'd looked over at where his arm would be. "I heard stories of your terrible defeat agiasnt Kayen. I assume you want revenge huh." He'd grinned leaning forward to look Vocado in the eyes. "Between you and me I'd gladly help you. I want to see you two fight agian. It would be amusing." Kraktus then straightened himself dusting his armor. "I have my goals. I am a member of the WTF out of convenience. So I am more than happy to not cause any trouble. I was not ordered to regardless."
The gathering of energy had not gone unnoticed; Specifically, due to its location. Residing further back in the village – having been in the middle of a conversation with Great Elder Hanma and Percus – Oboe, Guru of Planet Namek had been tracking the arrivals carefully. Such great powers, much higher than many others on his planet – yet not as familiar; Oboe was very aware of the pair of powers approaching without much haste – just as he was aware of the massive force that he recognized as the Saiyan whom had landed on his planet earlier. Realizing this, he deduced that the other two must be the pair he had met in the Scar during his meditation in the mountains. Unsure as to the intent of the three all at once, the Sage of Oros excused himself from the pair of aged Namekians and rushed towards the city entrance.
Praying to Porunga that the trio were not aggravating one another, Oboe hoped that no violence would occur so close to the new generation of hatchlings being taught in the ancient ways. Furthermore, he was a bit concerned about each energy he’d felt – having not sensed any hostile intent towards his planet or people from any of them. Thinking to himself however, he remembered something Vuzel had told him and the words sprung to life Hostile intent or not, that didn’t stop our people from being harmed by the collateral damage. With renewed vigor, the Namekian increased his pace.
Weaving through the architecture of domed buildings with spikes protruding on either side, Oboe swiftly arrived to the location and was shocked to see the strange squid like creature he’d seen such a long time ago, back when the Saiyans were on their way off-world. Eyes Widening, he realized that this must have been the one who had been causing such damage to his people. At this moment, he was in the middle of bringing up the Saiyan – Vocado’s – Missing Arm. Realizing the situation could explode at any moment; Oboe stepped out with his hands raised. With a warm, disarming smile, The Guru of Namek tried to settle any tension that might exist.
“Now now, please – travelers – We don’t wish for any trouble here…if there is need for conflict, I beg of you to reconsider. There are many hatchlings here and I’d truly desire they be spared the sight of carnage. It may cause them to reconsider their castes…” He chuckled. He hoped he could stop any violence before it occurred.

Well, this was certainly an interesting piece of information. The saiyan in question was none other than the former king, Vocado. He thought he recognized that face somewhere. He had seen it in a picture. Guess the rumours about his crushing defeat at Kayen's hands were true, if the squid's words were anything to go by.
Not only that, but their alien friend there was also seeking to get rid of the dragon balls. From what Flip had gathered, the dragon balls were unbreakable, so there was really only one way to 'get rid of them'. Flip was starting to see an opportunity, though only if people started to calm down. The alien's goading of Vocado wasn't helping, and when Casca started speaking, Flip was afraid she was honestly going to try and fight! Thank goodness she didn't, instead asking where they could eat.
Casca, for the love of god don't scare me like that!
Finally, their good old friend the guru turned up to try and defuse the situation. Good. A chance to salvage this insane problem. Good thing Flip was a good talker. "I do believe, gentlemen, that I have a way to solve all our little problems."
He turned to Vocado. "Now, if I'm correct, you're seeking the dragon balls so you can get revenge on the pirate that stole your throne. Shame about that, by the way. All that work and then everyone abandons you when something goes wrong. Just not right I say." He then turned to Kraktus, "And you want to get rid of the dragon balls, correct? Now, if I'm correct, the only way to do that is, well, use them. So, the sooner we gather them and wish them inert, the better, right?" He looked over at Oboe. "That would benefit you as well I believe. The sooner the temptation is gone, the sooner dangerous folks stop coming to your planet."
He looked at all four people present. "so, why don't we all just calm down, put the ki blasts away, and work together? It would certainly make things go by a lot more smoothly. And last I checked, these dragon balls grant multiple wishes." He glanced at Kraktus again, "And if you're hungry, I've got some fine food on my ship if ya'll are interested."
"Chance Encounters" Where Destiny and Reality Meet
Words meant to cut deep were exchanged between the armless Saiyan and the General of the WTF. Thinking a simple meal could calm the storm that was approaching Namek was naive at best. More worried than ever, Casca took a mental note of where everyone stood encase things went awry. Slowly moving her hands behind her back, both of her fists found themselves in a handgun-like formation.
Thinking that their trip to the little green planet was over before it begun, Casca was more than relieved to see the Guru of Namek try to delegate between the two in question. Believing their encounter with the Guru was a pleasant one, after their survival in Northern Scar, the young Saiyan understood Oboe intentions. Protect his people, at all costs.
The Tailless still couldn’t shake the feeling that she knew the Saiyan named Vocado. She was sent on countless missions while working for the Company, faced thousands of combatants, then why did the former King scare her so?
And on top of that, angrily addressing a World Trade Fleet General, here on Namek of all places. The General seemed the type that always knew what he wanted, headstrong, and careless only when it served his purpose. Easily ignoring the immediacy of battle, at least the purple Zoonmite knew how to keep his cool under pressure, unlike the nervous wreck known as Casca.
Mistake number three, inviting them back to our home. Really Flip?
The indecision of the young Saiyan to move in opposing her friend’s recommendation of everyone joining them on the Big Gamble left her once again speechless. She nodded out of anxiety hoping the three would take the bait, leaving Namek’s Dragon Balls and its world intact.
Casca's stomach knew better to growl for a meal during a time like this, with popcorn being more appropriate, as fireworks were due to make an appearance.
”Oh trust me. This beast has a lot more bite than bark. Wanna find out just how deep I can cut?”
In a quick motion, Vocado’s cloak was gone, revealing his amputated left arm. The void where Vocado’s arm once was suddenly became alight with energy. Violet Ki, razor-sharp and thrumming with life, coated the empty space, forming an energy blade as long as an arm would be. It certainly looked dangerous. The only question was whether or not Kraktus wanted to test its potentcy.
Thankfully for the Fleet-borne soldier, the others stepped in. Guru’s arrival certainly helped to ease tensions as well. With a simple relaxing of his muscles the energy blade was gone. Vocado winked at the squid, before turning to face his potential allies. They’d finish their little squabble away from the civilians.
”Understood, Guru. Apologies for starting a proverbial fire.”
Moving away from his foe, Vocado listened curiously to Flip’s proposal. Share the wishes? Maybe so. Vocado only needed one, and the dragon produced three. Even still, there were five people here; a few too many to share the wishes.
”If you two would be willing to share a single wish, I suppose we could work together. All I ask is that I get the second wish of three. You and Guru can decide who gains the first... While Ocean Man over here can watch us make our wishes from across the planet.”
Hopefully these two played along. They wouldn’t even be threatening if they decided not to, but surely hopeful hunters like these had already started searching. Maybe they’d even found a couple.
”Speaking of the Dragon Balls... You two wouldn’t happen to have radars, would you? I’ve been tinkering with the blueprints from last time I was here, but I’m no expert. It’ll take me a bit more time to make my own. If either of you have one, I could start searching for the three of us.”

Kraktus scouter beeped as he side-eyed the new arrival. Another person he seemed to be some leader in the village. He didn't know who he was at the moment so he brushed it aside. He was focused on the other three. "Only way to get rid of the dragonballs?" He'd side eyes Flip. "I've read enough on Namekian lore on my last visit. You only need to kill one man to rid of them. The Dragonballs are connected to one being." He'd rubbed his head looking back at Vocado. "I'd hope you did your homework as well. Don't want to see your wish to go down the drain. What could you ever wish for? Some power to overcome the queen. Expected of a cowardly man. Maybe a new arm to replace that stump. Or maybe some new boots. Got to hope Kayen will be licking them when you beat her don't you?" Kraktus grinned under his beard. He was really yanking the chain as he is hard as he could.
He was more than aware of Vocado's strength. Someone does not nearly beat Kayen without being a powerful warrior. He also heard from reports that so far had not proven wrong that Vocado was a super saiyan. He had no chance of agiasnt such a force. To Flip's another point he scoffed. "I have no interest in working with anyone. I have no desire for the dragonballs. Even if it could grant me what I want. IT'd not to feel earned." Kraktus looked at Vocado. "Like this man and his former friends. Wishing for power Vocado. Not very King like you think?" He'd taunted agian as Vocado even brought out the stump for a fight. "Seems you've replaced your arm with a sword. Reminds me of a lad I meet the other day. Had a sword for a leg. Expect with you, it just.." He going to finish but the Namekian had pleaded for them to stop. He'd gave a nod to Vocado and stopped. He still had a lot to say but he could leave it to another time.
Oboe watched as slowly, but surely; the arguments diminished. Nodding in thanks to all parties, Oboe pondered what had been presented to him by the Saiyan. He had spoken to the off-worlder extensively about his intentions – noble as they sounded. It occurred to him that, in lieu of much force on his own front, it may be wise to have an ally who could ensure the wish the leader of Namek also wished to make for the betterment of his people.
Oboe reached out with extended his arms outward in a show of good faith – even to the squid faced one before him. Though concerned that such commentary would provide dangerous to his people and to himself, he nevertheless continued forth with his suggestion in hopes that calmer minds would prevail. He’d hope that the two other off-worlders would be inclined to agree with his assessment. There weren’t many options on the world currently, and while so far things had been civil; A flip of agreement could easily result in his world becoming a warzone once again.
“Perhaps Mr. Vocado is right. The way my people used to utilize the Dragon Balls were as a test of virtue, character, honor, courage, valor, compassion, and conviction. Yet all they have brought my world is misery since the asteroid belt began to clear and travel returned to our land. Maybe the solution here is not to wage war over the wish-spheres, but to work together to accomplish our individual goals. If you two-” Oboe gazed at Casca and Flip Fortuna – his eyes warm but speaking of concern; he wasn’t sure how this situation would unfold. He’d have to place his hope in the young man’s brilliant mind and way with words to ensure their survival in this situation.
“-will agree, I believe we can all benefit from this endeavor as best as possible. Miss Casca’s family, restored as she wishes to life; Mr. Vocado’s intentions and my own…together I believe this endeavor possible. What say you?” Oboe smiled as he looked at each person in turn. “Mr. Vocado? Is this acceptable to you?” Finally, the Sage regarded Kraktus. Though he didn’t show contempt, he was clearly not pleased with the Alien and his presence.
“If you sir, desire to intervene with the nature of our Ways; I must once again ask you to depart our world. You will find no peace and find no harm. We are a simple people whom wish only to exist. Why must you hinder everything with your malevolent ways? Don’t you have intentions that are grander than simple bullying?” Oboe spoke with heart and conviction; It was clear he had felt the weight of all these arrivals heavily on his own soul. Now with a forum, he’d hoped to dissuade any thought of violence through simple conversation and agreement.
Now, staring out at each of the aliens on his world, Guru hoped that in their own ways, they’d each regard the words as wise and truthful. There really only was one way that this would work…if they’d agree to work together. Otherwise, there was no telling how this could end up for everyone…including his own people.
