The Duo had departed, they’d agreed with Oboe’s understanding to give Nashua their Dragon Balls for protection and swiftly rushed off back to their ship. Now, left where they had been, Oboe would stand in silence with the Saiyan Female. So much time had passed since last they saw one another, the Namekian wasn’t quite so sure if she was still the same person he’d met prior. There was clearly a difference in her strength; Power radiated off of her lithe form with such reckless abandon that the Guru of Namek nearly found himself incapable of being in her presence. It was quite a difference from the kindhearted, well-mannered girl from before.
“…Uhm…Ms Nashua?”
Oboe sounded trepidatious in his approach. It was very clear that he was happy to see her, yet the worried look behind those kind eyes made it clear that the Super Saiyan form shown off by both herself and Vocado had caused a bit of worry in his heart. In the presence of such power, power great enough to crack his world in two, what was the correct decorum to follow? Should he be subservient? Should he be himself? It seemed the Guru of Namek was for a first time in weeks – out of words. The silence grew between them as he looked at her, realizing he had to say something.
“…Thank you. Truly, thank you for coming back. I…I tried to protect our Dragon Balls, much like you lot tried so hard to route the WTF from our world…I’m just…” Oboe looked down, it was clear he was feeling the weight of all of his failures.
“I’m just not strong enough. Nothing I seem to attempt has helped any! I tried to Help Mr. Yogu, he was taken completely by his alternate Persona. I tried to help Ms. Kitiana, I couldn’t even teach her the basics of energy control! Maybe…I’m not the one for this job afterall…”
Oboe finally allowed himself to break down. The near death, his failure with everything else thus far. He felt the individual failures as cuts in his armor. His facade broke and it seemed as if nearly all the things he’d been bottling up since earth had finally broken through and shattered him. He didn’t know Nashua as well as he’d of liked – having only interacted with her briefly for a day when she’d helped one of the surrounding villages repair damage – but due to his lack of truly solid interactions with others, and the lack of presence of said people on his home world, Oboe’s loneliness and insecurity had finally reached a head.

After dropping the deceptively heavy Dragon Balls back off where they'd be safe inside of her ship, Nashua had returned back to where Oboe and the other two interesting characters were, to find that the blue haired Saiyan and her fedora donning friend had both made their own exits as she'd been away. At least the one guy she did know was still hanging around! The Saiyan touched down on the ground and breathed a relieved, if slightly worried sigh. Only time would tell if Vocado could triumph over Monster on his own, and as much as Nashua wanted to go help him out, she had her duty to protect the rest of Namek in case things got out of hand. Oboe was the first of the two to break the silence, and her golden eyes glanced over at him as he spoke, with Nashua finding his earnesty and humbleness refreshing compared to the battle of egos she constantly found herself in.
"Oh, don't worry yourself," she assured him with a soft smile, her tone itself equally as as gentle. "I tried to help stop him when he attacked this place on Earth, and I thought I did, but clearly not well enough. In a way, it's my fault he's even here." It might have also kind of been Chime's fault for not being as thorough with the whole evil cleansing thing as he'd thought, but pointing fingers was going to get them nowhere. "Vocado is one of the strongest Saiyans around, I'm sure he'll take the day," she further reassured him. Oboe seemed stressed out, to say the least, so causing him any further worry was probably only going to lead to him having a worse day than he probably already was having. "But regardless of that, strength isn't everything!"
Nashua clasped her hands together in front of herself and turned back over to face Oboe directly, as she continued, "Some of the strongest people I know have power levels well below yours, and they still go at things with as much vigor as they can. It's not all about strength - it's about persistence!" That was something she could firmly believe in, and she felt it had guided her well, thus far. Strength hadn't gotten her her high position in the Saiyan Kingdom, nor had it won her the fights for the Dragon Balls on Namek or Earth and revived her people. It was all her unflinching failure to quit when the going got tough. "Power is like... A hammer. It can be destructive, obviously, when used recklessly, but it can also be used to build and create. And, also like a hammer, it is far from the only way to achieve your goals. A hammer is going to be very useful when it comes to nailing together a wooden table, but cementing a brick house? Not so much. ...Does that make sense?"

Oboe was alone for along enough for him to turn his back it felt like, then suddenly he was next to a power that shook Steno to his core. There was no immediate negative feelings from the power, but the power itself sent chills down his spine and his instincts kicked in to rush directly for Oboe as fast as he could manage. Thankfully he wasn't too far away and showing up didn't seem like it was all that important by the time he had arrived, as two figures stood simply talking, but the power level of the one he had felt earlier still gave him pause. The majority of their conversation seemed casual to a degree, but he couldn't help but feel a pain in his chest as he was holding himself personally responsible for the issues Oboe was going through, as he was supposed to be the one protecting him and yet he had done such a lousy job of it thus far.
Steno's figure touched down just a few feet from the two, not making any attempts at hiding himself, but his attention was immediately on the topic at hand and the curious nature of what this creature was the two brought up. Perhaps this was the energy he had felt before fighting the other Saiyan, but it wasn't a situation he was near prepared enough to go near to investigate further. Vocado, guess that was the other Saiyans name. For the briefest of moments his eye twitched as she spieled to the guru of planet Namek about power, not in any sense of annoyance, but trying to keep from breaking his stoic look and not smirk or snicker at all. At the very least it was refreshing to hear something like that from a Saiyan, given the stereotypes associated with them. This was however only the second one he had met in person, and the other was carrying around a notepad so perhaps it was best not to judge an entire race based on hearsay. Multiple times over he wanted to simply introduce himself, but given the topic and in the presence of the Guru, he felt it better to save pleasantries for responses more than inserting himself into the conversation.

Current Power Level: 50 Total Power Level: 56,000
Oboe Visibly relaxed as he heard her words. Though he heard blame in her own choices, he was quick to raise his own hands up in protest; “How could you have known this would happen? Ms. Nashua – don’t be hard on yourself, I assure you this is of no fault of your own. I don’t know if anyone truly could’ve predicted how engrained this “Monster” was in the boy” Though he was defending the situation, it was all to clear on his face that the recent events with the young konastian had left him traumatized. Yet, once again, Nashua was quick to pick him up from that pit and express her own views. She was very confident – and if he dared, smitten, with the Saiyan Vocado, as evident by the way he kissed her cheek earlier – and his ability to dispatch the Monster that was now Om-Yogu. She continued to express how she’d knew many who weren’t the strongest, yet they still tried their best all the same to make a difference where they could. It was poetic in a sense, and it did much to restore some of his faith in himself. Easily grasping hold of his emotions once again, he’d nod in agreement with her sentiments about power and the hammer. “I-I think it does. I get the concept at the very least – thank you Ms. Nashua; Once again you’ve saved me.”Oboe offered a warm smile as a familiar energy caused his Antennae to twitch. The surge of power – familiar in its nature – was warm and welcome to him. Though he’d not felt his energy in quite some time, he was relieved to find that Steno – the Guardian of Guru who had been chosen by the Warrior Caste – had found his way to them. Yet again, late to the party as the damage to his person had already been done. Still, it wasn’t an unwelcome feeling and the familiarity was very much a comfort in this time. Realizing Nashua must’ve seen him by now – judging from the distance between the energy and their location – Oboe felt it relevant to introduce the other. Turning on his heel, he would stare behind him and lock eyes with Steno. “May I present, Steno – one of our Planet’s finest Warriors…though I fear he was a bit late to the threat that was Mr. Yogu…I assure he he means us no harm. Simply – he’s been chosen to guard me…” Though as he said those last words, he could understand why one may find confusion in such a declaration. If Steno had been chosen to guard Guru – how did he nearly almost get killed by the Monster? The answer was simple, yet silly. Due to his own nature of hiding his energy, he’d made it more difficult for his Guardian to keep track of him and as such his most recent adventure and mishap with Flip Fortuna and Casca mistaking him as an errant dragon ball had gone mostly unnoticed by the other. “Steno! Please, approach. This is Ms. Nashua – a Friend of our People. Come and meet her.”Oboe’s voice was soft, though he was sure the Namekian’s keen sense of hearing would compensate the gap. Returning his attention to the Saiyan, he once again offered his own smile as he asked her the question that had been burning in his mind since he’d seen it. Her golden hair, her impressive power; he was more than a bit interested in her new abilities – everything exceeding all he could’ve ever guessed the young lady capable of only six months ago. My how time had flown. “Ms. Nashua, I’m curious – what has your life been like as of late? I see that you’ve of course…gained much power…far more than I believe Porunga was capable of granting. Was this what your people were looking for when they came last? I heard from Vocado that Vegeta was taken back without much incident, yet I sense there was far more that he was not telling me…and by the very nature of your power, that intensity…that anger…I’m more than a bit intrigued. If I’m not…intruding of course.”

It looked like Nashua's words had actually had an effect! Albeit, sort of a smaller one, but, still, she could find some pride in the fact that her not terribly thoroughly thought out metaphor was able to bring Oboe even a semblance of solace. "Well, I don't know if I'd say I've 'saved' you," she somewhat shyly replied as her hands folded behind her, a bit of a prideful blush appearing on her cheeks for the faintest moment before another presence appeared nearby on her scouter's radar. This power level wasn't a number she'd seen someone that she was familiar with before, so she noticeably went on guard for a bit as she looked over towards the new Namekian, though Oboe was quite speedy to introduce the newcomer as an ally of his. He sure was a quiet one, though, as he watched the pair without so much as a word.
"Good to meet you, Steno," Nashua stated with a smile. "I'm Nashua of the Saiyan Kingdom, as you may have heard. I'm here to make sure nothing untoward happens because of the Dragon Balls." She was feeling quite confident in her ability to stave off any big threats. Just about the only people she knew that would be able to beat her in a fight were some of her allies, so that was reassuring. Before Steno decided to chime in to the conversation, though Oboe was vocally curious about what had happened to Nashua in the six months or so since she'd last been to Namek. If Nashua could've put it briefly, she'd have replied that both a whole lot, and nearly nothing at all had happened. But, she was a bit less curt than that, especially in the face of someone as friendly as Oboe.
"Well, let's see..." she began, her finger tapping gently against her own chin. "I went to Earth and found out that they have their own set of Dragon Balls, so I used those to revive a ton of the people that were killed by the World Trade Fleet. If you were confused about a bunch of Namekians coming back to life at some point around four months ago, that was me! Then, I went back home and reunited with my parents, who are alive again now, didn't do much for a while, then heard about these Balls coming back, and thought I'd show up to lend a hand!" The Saiyan let out a deep breath, having finished, then realized she'd left a little part out. "And, this robot named Sai tried to kill me when I was hunting the Dragon Balls, but I somehow went Super Saiyan before he could, so now I'm way stronger!" That was everything, right? "Oh, but he's not a bad robot, he was just like, testing me, or something. We're cool now. I think."

Steno gave the slightest of head bows towards Nashua as he was introduced through Oboe, keeping his eyes locked on her for the moment. His mind however had no thoughts of her at all given the conversation, and he felt a heavy guilt even though Oboe clearly wasn't trying to guilt trip him. The truth was, and it was likely known from everyone in the room, there wasn't a lot Steno could have done if Monster was as strong as he was lead to believe, but it wouldn't have stopped him from trying. Not being there regardless of the outcome was enough to weigh on him every moment, though he wasn't likely to come out and say it, especially with a stranger present. There was no outward way of seeing any of these emotions that hid behind his stoic facade, even quickly taking a few steps forward as Oboe spoke, showing no signs of any distractions on his mind.
"I'm not much for introductions and pleasantries. Oboe says you are a friend so that means he trusts you. I don't need more than that to not worry about you or your presence." It was a blunt statement, but it was an honest one, and it took that little for him to put any worries of this outsider out of his mind. He didn't blindly trust them by any means, but he had no reason to think they would suddenly attack or deceive them at the moment. There was no handshake offered as most might have, mostly because that wasn't a social trait he was raised to do, not out of rudeness but simply wasn't a pleasantry he took part in. His four arms stayed crossed and he was at least for the moment standing right next to Oboe.
The introduction from Nashua from the Saiyan Kingdom, and Oboe mentioning her being her previously during the dragon ball hunt kept replaying in Steno's mind as his attention stayed on her with a motionless stare. He had no reason to have any ill-will towards this Saiyan specifically but there were a laundry list of reasons to be cautious with the information she was there and involved in a time that held trauma and tragedy for many of the Namekian people. "Super Saiyan? Guess that makes two of you here.", referring to Vocado as he had felt his power while fighting Monster.

The tale woven by the young Saiyan was equal parts riveting as it was short. He appreciated her tale about Earth and the Set of Dragon Balls upon their planet – no doubt a creation of his friend Chime – and how she’d used the spheres there to revive a large group of people whom had been deceased (the thought of Om-Yogu’s tale springing to mind) which also went to explain how many of his people had returned to their former states. He visibly warmed at the aspect of the young girl having finally been reunited with her family. If anyone had deserved a happy ending in any resolve, Nashua was it. He was able to follow everything she’d stated until the one word was used.
In his own confused way, Oboe cocked his head aside and uttered; “Super…Saiyan? I-Is that what you call the strange golden-haired form you took earlier?” The Guru of Namek was of course interested in her newly found power, and more so he was curious how the Saiyans Obtained it in the first place. Such massive force was nearly unmatched among his own people and it caused a bit of curiosity to awaken within the normally inquisitive Sage.
He could feel the weight of his words impacting Steno – causing him, in mid-sentence, to turn back to the young Namekian as he referenced the number of “Super Saiyans” on the planet. If the Golden-Haired state was indeed what she’d referred to, then his companion was every bit correct in the sheer volume of Saiyans whom had obtained it on planet currently. He hadn’t meant to cause his Guardian any grief about the issue that he’d lived through with Om-Yogu, but even if that hadn’t been his intent, it was every bit what had apparently occurred. Oboe took a mental note to have a conversation about such things with Steno when the time was right.
“Regardless of the reasoning Ms. Nashua – we do thank you for returning, even if it’s just to ensure the safety of the Dragon Balls. You were missed, I’d say, by myself and many of the other Namekians you’d helped previously. We have sung of your deeds for months; It is with our great pleasure that you’d returned but…”
Oboe considered his next line of thoughts. He was curious, that much was certain, of the Saiyans power – their true power – now that they’d liberated their world. His interactions with Kid had left him believing that maybe there was more to their desire to combat than met the eye. In an effort to ensure that some bridgeable relations could occur, Oboe uttered;
“Do you think I might be able to bother you sometime soon? Perhaps you can show some of our Warrior Caste’s the way you Saiyan’s do battle. Might help us in the long run in defending our world ourselves…if you’re up for it! Of course I don’t mean today I was just-“
Oboe continued to stammer. He didn’t want to insult his venerable guest, nor did he want to put more expectations on her shoulders considering her current task of defending the wish orbs. Still, he was more than a bit curious how Nashua differed from Ochra in combat, and he was certain that Steno would be more than a bit hungry to get his hands dirty. He’d hope of course that Nashua would accept the request, but if she hadn’t his last words may of helped in another way;
“It’s not a big deal if not – I was going to say in a few days you should meet us in the Moori Capital. There’s a lovely new restaurant that opened after your friends left our world…dedicated to the cooking of Meat and Meat Products from our very own wildlife. I think you’d find it wonderful!”

Steno was a man of very few words, wasn't he? Nashua blinked at him a few times with a puzzled expression on her face, wondering if she'd said something wrong, though she quickly doused the worries and figured Steno was simply more of the 'stoic, silent type'. "Oh, yes, that's what it's called when a Saiyan can go beyond the normal limits of their power," Nashua explained to Oboe, nodding towards Steno as she added, "And, also yes! Vocado and I both are among the first Super Saiyans to appear in two hundred years! The only other so far is the Queen of the Saiyan Kingdom. Hers is quite unusually powerful, as well!" While Nashua would have had the utmost confidence in the powerful form in a vacuum, there was also the fact, however, that forms equally as powerful, if not more so had been popping up among the other species that populated the galaxy. Was there some correlation there?
As Nashua stumbled her way back out of deep thought, Oboe continued to sing her praises, and the revelation that the Namekian people had been hailing her as a hero these past few months brought some dark red to her already slightly rosy cheeks. "O-Oh, is that so?" she replied with a smile, her fingers twirling around the end of her white cape as she tried, and, mostly failed, to hide the pride on her face. She'd never seen any kind of positive attention for her deeds when she had been a mere foreign ambassador - in fact, she had often felt ostracized by her peers for her stubborn refusal to escalate things to violence at the first sign of trouble. Receiving praise from both her Kingdom and those of another planet for her deeds was a surprise, but far from an unwelcome one.
"Well, I'm quite glad I was able to make such a positive impact on your people," Nashua stated with a smile, her cheeks slowly lessening in their redness. "I can only hope relations between the Namekians and Saiyans improve from here." Speaking of which, Oboe had an interesting suggestion that Nashua found curious. Show off some of her stuff to the warrior castes? Perhaps it might motivate the big, buff Namekian warriors to train thrice as hard if a girl half their size was kicking their butts, Nashua thought with a small smirk. "Meat, you say?" Nashua said with an intrigued tone of voice. "Well, I wouldn't be a Saiyan if I turned down quality meat and sparring. I'd be happy to come over and help out! It'd be good for your people to know what kinds of threats they might be up against, should the World Trade Fleet's eye return to the Dragon Balls, here."

It was hard to tell at times if Oboe was truly this genuine in how he treated everyone or if it was part of his position that made him feel as if he needed to be so kind and generous. He heaped praise upon the Saiyan as if she had single-handedly become the savior of their people, and while he could appreciate them helping, he wouldn't be as willing to do the same in any such manner. When there were many others that had risked and flat out sacrificed their lives even recently, it was hard for Steno to understand acting as if these Saiyans were the heroes in this scenario. While Oboe claimed so many were singing their praises and of their deeds, Steno was most assuredly not one of them. He had nothing against this Saiyan or any he had even met in person, but he wasn't going to give credit where he felt it wasn't as due when it was absent towards so many others more deserving.
As quietly as was possible, he stood and listened, but couldn't help but give a slight scoff at Oboe asking for warriors such as himself to be shown anything from a Saiyan about fighting. It bothered him far more than it should have, as if it had taken a stab at his pride without him directly thinking about it as such. Meeting this Saiyan in person was bringing up a lot of mixed emotions between the appreciation of this one specifically being willing to help and the trauma from a time not that long removed when the Saiyans were much less appreciated than Oboe was making it out to be. Perhaps it was simply the new Guru's young age compared to Steno's, but it made the warrior Namekian nervous all the same despite his thoughts on this Nashua specifically.
Not for a second did she leave his direct gaze as he stood silent, which he was growing to learn unnerved people first meeting him, even finding Oboe to be put off by it at times, but he rarely felt the felt the need to speak without something important to say. The more he watched however he realized Oboe was likely not the only younger person in the conversation, as this Nashua seemed on the younger side, though it was hard to tell for sure given his lack of direct contact with her species until very recently. The way she reacted somewhat unsure of herself, not quite shy but far from confident; it confused Steno greatly as he could feel the power radiating from her and to get that far she had to be well trained, though she acted as if it was nothing more than part of her in a way he could respect. "I'm quite curious to see this Super Saiyan transformation of yours up close. I've heard about it, I've felt it from a far, but I've never seen it or experienced it." His comment was sudden, and even somewhat out of place in the conversation, but what Oboe had mentioned about her showing something to the Namekians got him rather curious. "As you say, it could be helpful to know what threats we might be up against. Would be equally as helpful to know who we might be standing next to against other threats. Good to lay the cards on the table as the Earthlings say."
