"99 Problems" Batteries Ain't One
Standing in line, waiting to see the Guru was taking longer than expected. Did any of these minions know who she was? “ I’m Casca,” the Saiyan held an extended hand in the direction of the group of Namekians overlooking the Village until the Guru’s return. Gesturing to her face, Casca stepped from the line to better make her point. “ One of the few hunting the Dragon Balls. I was with the Guru when,” one of the guards made a disturbed face. “ On the day we met the Monstar, yes.” Seeing the laughing face of Yogu, the young woman’s body grew rigid as she quickly relived the past few days and their disastrous consequences. Maybe leaving Flip and the Big Gamble for a few days wasn’t the right idea, and she needed more time away from the hunt. “ I think he’s actually expecting me,” as she directed the guard back to the line situation. “ Check the list,” Casca said as if her reputation mattered in a place as tranquil as this. “ I want each of your names,” the Saiyan huffed as she was carried from the village. Casca bounced to her feet as she was thrown by the hatchlings. “ Oboe will be hearing about this,” she turned from the village knocking the dust from her armor. Wishing she still had a Dragon Ball as proof, the young woman made it a while down the road before she dipped her hands in her pockets. Immediately noticing a smooth, metallic device, Casca removed her Dragon Radar and clicked it on. To her amusement, it still had some juice. Not sure whether or not to spend the battery life on looking for another, the Saiyan continued her retreat. “ Lucks bound to change one of these days,” Casca said with her finger on the radar’s trigger, “ but it’s not like they are going anywhere,” thinking of the supernova she gave her last Dragon Ball to. Was there a plan? Wasn’t there a plan? Either way, there would be Monstars, champions, wishes, and demons? Planet cracking, heavens shaking, possibly spirit enlightening. Click! With a press of a single button, Casca life could change. Praying for the spirit of Vegeta to watch over her as she prepared for round two, she peered into the distance as she chanted, " Come out, come out, where ever you are."

Kraktus had been stalking around keeping a low profile. He really was not trying to run into Oboe or any of those super saiyans. He still had a lot of work to do to really set up the war. Namek was his best chance to get that moving, with the dragonballs there would be a lot of tension. Kraktus scouter beeped, he had been tracking a high power for some time. <32,000> was a high power, nothing he could not handle but strong enough that he'd want to investigate. When he finally saw Casca he'd quickly move to land in front of her and leave a bring dust cloud. Kraktus stood up looking over Casca. "I've met you before. You were with that other human, along with Oboe and Vocado." Kraktus grinned looking around. "I assume you don't have a Dragonball on you. If you do I'd hand it over peacefully." Kraktus chuckled. He was not serious about taking them but he was curious how she'd react. He assumed she knew, she had no chance of defeating him. Would she surrender it or decide to fight. Maybe she would run, he licks his lips under his beard, "Well?"

"99 Problems" And Kraktus is One! Kicking rubble as she left the Elder Village, Casca was more than discouraged. Not only was she shunned from Namekian culture, but also her radar wasn’t working properly. For now, it would not matter as the World Trade Fleet’s esteemed General made his appearance known. The large Zoonmite General crushed the turf he landed on, projecting a ring of dust from his radius. Shielding her face from the debris, Casca couldn’t believe her misfortune. This will be the second time she had to clean her armor today! Spitting the dirt from her mouth, Casca placed her Dragon Radar back into the safety of her pocket as she sized up this chance encounter. “ Goin’ to have to buy ma dinner first,” she said, gaging his seriousness in the small talk about the Dragon Balls. On cue, her stomach roared to life. Staggering her stance, the Saiyan decided it safe to prepare for the worse as she tried to mediate the situation. “ In all honesty, your guess as to where the Dragon Balls are is as good as mine,” she said as the wind picked up around the two in conversation. Flashes of their first meeting spontaneously made their way through Casca’s skull, causing her to bare her teeth. Remembering the General’s comment about destroying the genesis of the wish-granting orbs, Casca spoke the truth, “ But if I did have one, you’d be the last I’d share it with!” Tyhpa, Flip, Oboe, Vocado, and now Nashua; each with their own reason for joining the Hunt, and last Casca checked, none of them involved Kraktus. “ People have died for these Balls. Something I just decided, I'm willing to do," the Saiyan accepted as she tried to slow her breathing. Alone, Casca wasn’t sure what was going to happen. But she wouldn’t be the first to act. "Buy you dinner what do I look like to you one of the friends? You are quite funny." Kraktus sarcastically chuckled his eyes growing dark. He found it more to be stalling then actually trying to talk. Yet her stomach did roar, guess she was hungry. Then agian she may have not being alive in a few minutes. Food should have been the least of her concerns. When she made it clear she had no Dragonball Kraktus stalked forward. "I see that is a shame." Kraktus looked around, his scouter didn't pick up anything else. His eyes also didn't see anything so the two of them were alone. He wondered how fast he could kill her. Watching her life drain from her eyes would be enjoyable yet he knew right when he tried it someone would find him. Namek was large but not that large for a super saiyan. Kraktus looked over her as she was willing to die for the dragonballs if she had them. He didn't see anything to say she was lying. "Kill you? You're not worth that. I have no intention of killing you. Walk with me." Kraktus walked past Cassa and expected her to follow. "So tell me why did you come to namek."

"99 Problems" Maybe Kraktus Isn't One? Thank Vegeta! Casca immediately lowered her guard as she chased the dreary General down the road. Running as if she had a point to prove, the Saiyan reached the man’s side to find it increasingly more difficult to match his unusual gait. “ Death,” she thought he’d appreciate that answer. “ Even someone as strong as you has had to have lost people. What if I told you there was a way to stop the people you care about from dying. What if I told you, you never had to die.” Let’s hope Kraktus was different and didn’t need to run with this idea. Letting her comment sink in, Casca tucked her hands in the neck of her battle armor as they proceeded into the land’s natural hills and valleys. As much as she looked at Namek, she never really looked at Namek. Everything seemed to be so urgent ever since the Syndicate stepped foot on the green planet, she never really had a chance to stop and smell the roses. “ If you could live forever,” Casca took her eyes off the never-ending landscape to try to really understand the sincerity in the General’s answer, “ what would you do?” Through a random path of travel, the two soon paralleled that of a shallow stream as Casca picked this place to smell them roses. Catching her own reflection in the planet’s purest natural resource, the Saiyan spoke up first. “ I think I’d give it all up, just retire and live somewhere nice. Somewhere green.” Watching the cold features of Kraktus’ face for several paces, Casca was still unaware if he was capable of being honest. “ The places you could see if you lived forever. The people you’d meet. The memories you’d make. Wouldn’t you want to see it all at least once,” the woman asked with the true intention of understanding his answer. Casca decided to leave out the part where he’d be alone, a man who outlived everyone he ever cared about. But some times it takes being alone to know what you had. How do you tell that to someone, Casca thought to herself, believing the portrait she just painted was her own existence. That’s why she’s here; she’s outlived everyone she has ever loved. OCC: Woah, things got a little weird there for a moment!

Death now that is quite a cleaver." Kraktus nodded. He knew that was surface level. He didn't doubt she was hiding something but he didn't push. He would have more fun in a game of wit than in battle. Battles of the mind were the most enjoyable. When she mentioned lost Kraktus chuckled. "Yes, I lost people I knew. I had thousands of brothers and sisters. My species give birth to thousands of offspring. I was one of the youngest but also one of the strongest. I watched others die and I killed many too. Only the strongest could live to adulthood. Lost means very little to me. Death is death. The dead will stay in the ground and the living will keep walking." Kraktus pause to let that go through her head. He watched as she climbed up the hill. Kraktus would follow her up the hill. "If I could live forever?" Kraktus asked with confusion. He didn't speak he listened to what Casca would do. Retiring was not in the cards but he could see the appeal. To relax without peril and fear. There was an appeal to loving forever maybe someone would desire that. He just found it disgusting.
"Living forever there no point. If I could live forever it would be the only thing that could defeat me. It is foolish to want to live so long. I suppose there some benefits but death is fine with me if I achieve what I want. In the end, If I get what I want I'll live forever in a much more interesting way. To answer your question if I was forced to live forever nothing would change. I'd still burn it all to the ground. Create the war to end them all. A battle that even makes the gods tremble in true fear. Maybe I'd would the people hit the brink then start everything set up another war. That be entertaining. " he'd look towards Casca. "I do enjoy combat of the mind far more than the blade. It is interesting to see what people will say to defend their beliefs don't you agree?"

"99 Problems" ... Casca thought she had it tough. While naïve to believe death was a singular experience, the Saiyan found it difficult to listen to the savagery the Zoonmite experienced during his Youth. No wonder he pursued a career in the WTF. At least she had a somewhat normal childhood. “ The walking dead would be too much for ya,” Casca jeered her fellow traveler on. “ It’s Kraktus right? The Great General Kraktus couldn’t fight the living dead.” She threw up her hands in a gesture of protecting herself in a fistfight. Quickly growing conscious of who she was talking to, the Saiyan collapsed her arms to her side, vowing not to perform any more movements that could be read as hostile. Speaking of hostile, martyrdom was another matter. “ I would agree,” Casca hated to admit. She struggled with the fact she didn’t always believe there was free will, and sometimes things happen because of events far from a person's own control. The more you become aware that this might have all happened before just to someone else, somewhere else, the more meaningless it is on which side you choose to be apart of. “ But we all don’t get to beat up on our siblings until we get our way, now do we!” And he did bring up gods, leading Casca to believe Kraktus thought of himself as a "god of destruction"? Has he never been around a hungry Saiyan? Now they can cause a mess, when hangry! “ So, your siblings. Birthdays must have been hard, with so many of you,” she figured some lite banter was appropriate as she navigated for some time ahead of the General. Approaching the crest of a hill, the two could observe the countless fields of open grass as the breeze picked up once again. “ You do anything for fun, General,” the Saiyan asked as she covered her eye’s as two of Namek’s suns were at their height above those in transit. “ Read books? Watch movies? Origami? Something to take the edge off before all of these wars you are planning?”

"I could fight the Walking Dead. Creatures like Zombies or other things that are not fully living. Just blast them to ash. Can't survive that unless they are zombie Majins." Kraktus wondered if that was even possible. He doubted that but guess he'd have to do his research to be sure that was the case. "Yes, we don't all have to beat our siblings. Though in your culture brothers and sisters have much more value. Zoonmite family does not matter much. Once you are born and free at the great sea you must survive yourself." Kraktus shrugged. "As for birthday most of us were born all on the same day. I was one of the more surprising most of the time we mate once and die off. My family mated three times. So I was the third batch." When Casca asked what he did for fun he rubbed his chin. "Let's see, I do read that is something that I must do to keep my mind sharp. I suppose I do training as well for fun. However this Origami. I have never heard of it. Would you tell me what that is?" He genuinely didn't know what it was, so it would be good to find out for future reference.

"99 Problems, Batteries Ain't One" Navigation could be one As the Saiyan listened to the purple Zoonmite, Casca thought the General wasn’t taking the zombie thing seriously. She was talking about the prophetic, rising from the dead ascended and all-powerful creature. Something unlike the galaxy had ever seen! Then she saw his point, it’d be pointless. “ Did I say origami,” Casca forgot she mentioned her favorite pastime. Mentally preparing a two-hour speech, to really make the General understand her passion for the sport of competitive paper folding and the like. “ You know it’s easier if I show you —,” she quickly researched the man’s face for him making lite of her hobby. He wasn’t, his brow furrowed slightly as if he was willing to add something to his mental library. Naw, not wanting to explain the details of a something as silly as folding paper into shapes like flowers or the like, she sternly answered, “ I meant macaroni. It is a delicacy I grew fond of on Earth of all places. If you haven’t tried it, you really should. It's made from this food produced from curds of animal milk. I got a feeling, you'd love it.” The young woman strolled alongside the General. She didn’t want to circle back to their family problems, hearing how Kraktus’s parent’s loved their children so much, they mated three times when normally Zoonmites only mate once was almost heartbreaking. Don’t get Casca wrong, she did feel for the General. If they were created at different times, she thought they’d be friends. But she couldn’t forget. The man had never stated why he was here himself. “ So you aren’t interested in eternal life. You said you would burn the world to the ground if you had the chance. But you never actually told me why you,” she pointed at his armor, “ I mean why the Fleet’s, here? Does the Fleet really need to open a recruitment office on every planet in the galaxy? Funny, didn’t know you guys were struggling for numbers.” Yes, it was a loaded question but a question that could allow Casca to maybe understand why the General was on this particular planet. And if he provided any information about the World Trade Fleet, well, that’d be a bonus.

"Macaroni?" Kraktus paused. He had heard of that he was not a fan of it but he said not. "Slips of the tounges happen." She had met him feel stupid for a moment. If he was not in a forgiving mood he might have blasted her right there. No one makes Kraktus look foolish. "Maybe I would." He'd answered looking around as they walked. "Hmmm?" When Casca asked why it caught him off guard. "Most people don't ask why. They just want to stop me. That is curious. I suppose I'll have to give a history lesson for you to understand." Maybe telling one person why would be a fun thing to do. Plus what could Casca do to stop him? She was far too weak to ever be a threat to him.
"Hundred of years of war and carnage. Every few centuries they are a surge of great warriors. Many people all at once ascending to high levels of power. Like right now with the Super Saiyans and humans who are beyond their true limits. Even Demons of unimaginable power. All of these fighters fight and maybe destroy some planets. Yet it is all reversed and lost to time. There is no true purpose to it. We will always go back nothing will be made permanent. No point for us to play that cycle over and over. With all these great warriors we can have the battle to end all battles. A war that will cause damage that won't be healed. One even the gods will tremble too. By the end of it all, I doubt anyone would survive. Some could survive that be fun if not everyone is destoyed as long as the scars last forever. The end of the universe as we see it. As a place of reverse and fallacies." Kraktus fist tightened a grin forming under his beard. "It'd be glorious."
He'd looked at Casca afterword taking in a breath. That was a lot to go over but he felt she may understand at least a bit. Though he had no doubt she'd disagree with killing everyone off for something petty. Truth be told, it was not the only reason. Seeing the universe squirm would bring much more satisfaction. To see how the so-called heroes would struggle would be glorious. "The fleet is not really here. Most of the forces are scatted. Truth be told we may be on our last legs. I'm mostly here out of my own goals not for there goals. We will have wait and see what the leader does. For now, I wait for his commands afterall I am a general, I follow the order and make them work. Not make the orders and control the universe." Krkatus scoffed.

"99 Problems" And Everyone has One
Whatever spell Kraktus was casting seemed to work on the Saiyan for she walked with heavy steps alongside the mighty Zoonmite. Sensing his body heat fluctuate with the passion behind every word, Casca listened to the General unceremoniously explained how the world would end by his kind or if it weren’t by his own hands, it’d be by someone just as capable. Feeling sorry for the man, Casca began to see him in a different light. The heavy burden of knowing how the world inevitably will end must have made his existence that much more painful, but also that much more valuable. For he was alive! And what a time it was to be alive! “ Look, the world can be a nasty place. I think we both could attest to that,” Casca paused as her eyes rested on the General’s flayed mandible covering his mouth. “ But can’t it be all about perspective? Can’t there be a little purple zoonmite somewhere that grew up to have a different life? A life that went left when you went right?” Picking a small Namekian toad from the path that they traveled on, the Saiyan used the amphibian as an example. “ I could leave this little guy behind, where he would probably eat to its heart’s content, mate, and have offspring,” she explained as she held the small booger up to the light for the General to see. “ But what if I told him he could come with me, and he could have something entirely different. Entirely alien to his experience here on Namek.” Setting the toad back into its natural habitat, Casca grew jealous of its freedom as it jumped happily back to the water. “ We give ourselves roles, General. Doesn’t mean we have to fulfill them.” If he could see that his life was his own, that nothing from the past needed to hinder his future decisions, maybe she could start to do the same.

"Yes, the world is a bad place what are you going about?" He was curious where Casca was trying to move this but he was also losing intrest. She was not doing enough to try to change his mind nor did she seem able to easily changed. It was a shame still the battle was still enjoyable. Far more than blasting the young girl and calling it a day." When she threw out of the idea there could be a different man he scoffed. "I was born to be this way the day I came into existence. That was not going to ever change. I was meant to be General Kraktus for all my time. My destiny was laid out the path would not matter. In the end, my victory will happen all the same. In the end, I'll be the cause of the end of the universe. I am a being of Destruction and cunning that is all." Kraktus looked over as she picked up the toad.
Guess she had something else up her sleeve. Give it a choice of lives either on Namek or somewhere else. "Things would still end the same. You cannot change its purpose. Everything was born to die. I was the lucky one chosen to end the cycle. The one to end all life." His hand flexed as the water around the toad began to shake. He considered killing it right there but out of respect for Casca words he didn't. He let it live, how disgusting. To let such a flawed creature walk along to only die to some other beast or infection. "We get to make our own paths yes but all paths got one end. If I was a hero I'd still end the universe. If I as born a saiyan I'd do the same. When being of higher power set a plan into motion nothing can stop it. Our wills are meaningless to our true callings.

"99 Problems" Lets share the problem At the fundamental level, the General was probably right. We as biological beings, needing to produce and consume energy to remain relevant, for us there will be one beginning and one end. Forged by time and our ancestors who lived before us, our bodies made possible through their thoughts and their actions. Our lives crafted for us, the outcome already decided before we were born, without our consent. Who would choose this? Besides Kraktus. “ Hold up, you’ve dreamt of being a hero? The kind that wears a cape and saves people,” Casca asked the General. Yes, she was trying to get him to feel. “ I could see it now, you’d be as feared and respected as you are now. Only in latex instead of armor,” she politely turned to disguise her amusement at the thought. “ It stinks you think everything is predetermined,” Casca confessed after she allowed the General to one-up her joke. “ I’d like to live in a world where I didn’t know the outcome. I’d like to see that, a world where its destination wasn’t waiting for me at some point, forever beyond my control.” Freewill was important to her. She didn’t want to remain an insignificant factor in a galaxy ruled by the dictators that would facilitate her untimely end. Life was meant to be more than our differences and disputes; the division was only a façade we told ourselves to propagated distrust. “ Why don’t you stay here, on Namek? If everything is for naught, why don’t you stay here, with me? The world’s going to end with or without you,” Casca tried to reason with the General. The path he walked was one of self-harm, there can be a difference between meeting fate and letting fate come to you. At least the latter would be according to his own terms. " Before you get weird, I don't mean live together. Namek's as nice a place you'll find this time of year," Casca couldn't help but smile as she put on a pair of shades, looking out over the rolling fields with the General. " Time shares got to be cheap as hell during the Hunt."

"No of course not. I am only saying that even if I became a hero I would eventually become the man who I would be now." Kraktus had to admit that was annoying. He would never become a hero. It would be disgusting to think of himself as a paragon of good. He'd did have to chuckle when she noted he'd be in latex instead of armor. "Guess I would. But I would not want to be some great warrior of justice. That is not who I am. I am secure in the person I am now." Kraktus said confidently. "Everything is of course made by someone else. If it was not why would the supposed hero win every time. Things are destined to happen just not in one exact way. I could be born a thousand times and each adventure to the end would be different but in the end. I'll be the one who ends it all. Creates the war to end all wars." Kraktus grinned.
When she mentioned staying on Namek Kraktus frowned. "I won't stay on this damn rock. There is nothing here. I won't be blinded to be a life of peace. You seem to not understand that." He had to admit it had been fun. This was far different then what he'd usually do. She really wanted to turn him to the good side. He had to admit she was doing a good job but he was not something to be swayed. If he was another weaker being maybe he would. Yet, he was strong his will unable to be crumbled by any form of persuasion. "Namek is just a place of regret. People come here to use the dragonballs sickening to think they'd use them to revive those who died. Death is the end for all. That is all. It as simple a matter as that."

"99 Problems" And One
Jeez, it was like this guy never left the stage of trust verse mistrust. “ When you find yourself in the thick of it, ending wars or starting ‘em, remember. You coulda been here, with me living the good life,” Casca said in an attempt to stomach his response to Namek and death. Without staring at the General, she knew his mind was already far away, on a distant planet somewhere, already wreaking havoc. It was his nature, he said. “ Watch me get the Dragon Balls and wish you back here when you leave,” Casca tried one last quip before she put it to rest. Extending a hand to the General, the Saiyan gave him the sincerest compliment she could, “ I’m sure you’ll knock ‘em dead, either way.” Unsure how to end things with the once intimidating Zoonmite, the young woman waited with her hand out just in case the General didn’t see it. Regardless if he accepted, Casca thought the guy just needed a break. Minus the rough exterior and the world destruction thing, Kraktus was just a man trying to make it through the day, like the rest of us. Right? " Think we will ever meet again?"
