THROWN TO THE LIONS
CARRO'S PL: 50
The days for enjoying what little time he may have had left was over. Carro had to plan, to prepare for the worst- and fast. The President of Earth now found himself hiking through the northern mountain ranges, slumped against a crooked evergreen. He held up his marker in front of him, silently measuring the area below the sharp cliff nearby... No, this place was much too open. Finding an ideal spot for an evacuation camp for the eventual emergency expulsion of Central City was not easy. With another sigh, the saiyan hastily crossed off another spot on his map of the mountain range. There were dozens of other red "X" marks, incoherently messy notes, and a few circles or question marks here and there.
LEO was still ready to respond in case of emergency- he could warp her over in a second from Central City. But laying low was important for now. Folding the map, Carro slid the large paper and his pen into his backpack again, resuming his trek across the bluffs. He tightened his scarf and pulled his hood tighter over his head with a sigh. He was tired- his body wanting nothing more than a single good night's rest... But there wasn't time for that anymore- not when he could be preparing instead of doing nothing in his sleep.
Sulfur, Van, Tianum, his parents... He hadn't told anyone a word of what was to come yet. Instead, he'd tried to make the best of his time with them before, to make his friends' last memories of him pleasant if the worst arrived... Carro found himself slowing his pace, gazing over the mountain ridge, losing himself in his thoughts. Maybe even these mountains would be home to some demonic castle later, his mind nagged. Enjoy the view while you still can. Did Otherworld even have mountains...?
Carro gazed across the snowy ledge for minutes on end, unmoving- save for an occasional twitch from his tail. Snow fluttered down in a soft flurry, and he could still see the sun shining brightly though the clouds above. Everything was quiet, save for the howl of the mountain winds. Carro closed his eyes, letting his shoulders relax with a deep sigh. He really had to get moving again...

Sensoa had come to the mountains too, here where his home had started. He was preparing for the invasion, preparing himself for when he did the deed of conquering this world. The demon stood before his home, staring into the now darkened windows, the snow piled up on the front of the porch. He had come a long ways from being sealed by that thrice damned king, to now possessing power to nearly rival a demon king. Soon Sensoa would take his rightful place as a king of a kingdom, of a clan and he would be sitting on a throne on earth, ruling a world where the strong thrive.
But he couldn't prepare for that by being on top of this mountain, and slowly the demon began to lift from the ground. As he got to a certain distance away, he held out his hand and charged a ki blast. The time for a peaceful life was over, and this world would know the meaning of only the strongest survive. His ki blast soon engulfed the house, causing it to erupt into flames before he closed his eyes. He didn't regret this decision, but instead embraced it completely. Turning in the air, the demon took to flying west, heading off to take care of some unfinished business.
It was then however, as he flew for a few minutes, the demon spotting a tiny individual in the snow. A human who stood alone in the chilling cold of this world's mountains. The demon came to a stop then, staring down at this lone individual for a minute before he took note of who it was. It was none other than Carro, the tiny human president. It was common knowledge now that Carro was president, and Sensoa had heard the news before. Yet why was the human out here, in the middle of no where alone?
Sensoa snorted then before deciding he would speak with this president. After all, he was soon to be the ruler of this world, and to speak with his foe would be good. So as he landed, the demon stared at Carro thinking on what made this human special. He was weak, pitifully so that the demon could easily crush his bones with a simple flick. Yet he didn't want to defeat the president here, so those thoughts were washed away. Instead he was left without a greeting to properly introduce himself as the future ruler of this world.
"Hello Carro... It has been a long time... has it not?"
Sensoa's voice was not without its venom, and spite. He knew he owed Carro for being kind to him when he had a lapse, but in the wake of his resolve now, it had seemed a pointless gesture. Kindness, cruelty, blame and sadness over the past would not aid him here. Instead, he wanted to focus on the now, to forget his past and move onto the future... The future that would be his own clan.
"Seems an awful place for a walk... But I've seen worse places."
Sensoa gestured to the mountains, but it was more a gesture to this world. He hated it so, and it was evident on how much he wanted to crush it right now. But he wanted all resistance to be squashed at once, and that meant giving them a little time to gather up their forces.

Carro didn't register Sensoa right away. Lost in his own mind, he'd simply continue staring at nothing for a few extra seconds before the present caught up with him. He felt his blood run cold and a cold chill run down his spine as realization dawned. Thoughts swarmed again as the would-be conqueror of Earth stood right in front of him- the demon whose intents had been keeping him up night after night. Part of Carro wanted to scream- to yell at the monster to get off his planet, get out of his peoples' lives. To call him out for taking a mile when he gave an inch, for being so selfish when Carro had offered forgiveness and kindness time and time again- for using him. But in spite of the venom Sensoa snapped with, Carro just turned with a tired smile. "Hello there!" He waved, chipper as the last time they'd met in spite of the darker bags under his eyes. The name of the game now was to play dumb.
"It has been awhile. How's life? You sound a bit troubled- Is there anything I c-can be assistance to?" The President chirped back like nothing was wrong- like he didn't know of the doom behind Sensoa's plans. The saiyan propped himself atop a nearby rock, briefly kicking his short legs about as he pulled himself atop. Sensoa could kill him right now if he wanted to. He wasn't dead yet- did that mean the demon wanted something from him? Carro filed that mental note away for later. For now he had to act natural and bliss. That had a better chance of survival over yelling at the conqueror to leave his people alone- and perhaps he could leave a little more prepared for later. What better way to learn of what was to come than from the source?
"Oh, it's not so bad. The views are quite pretty from the mountains!" He turned to face the expanse below, kicking his legs to and fro with hands clasped together- nervous ticks. Carro panned his gaze upwards, looking to the melting icicles hanging from the nearby pines. The sun glistened off the thawing ice, scattering across the ground in kaleidoscopic patterns. "Besides, I've been q-quite busy as of late- presidential business a-and all. Taking a quiet hike always works for me as a relaxing break." Lies. "B-but thankfully, things seem to be calming down as of late. It's a relief!" More lies. "Hell, I'll probably get to go to bed early tonight if I'm lucky!" Filthy, filthy lies. Carro was many things, but he was a very good liar when he tried to be, grown adept to hiding his emotions... Most of the time.
Still, he'd click his tongue, turning his gaze away from the winter wonderland below. It was hard to look at the demon in the eyes, but Carro put on a straight face. "Regardless, my offer still stands if there's something I can help with that's on your mind." Both times they'd met before, Carro played a strong role in talking the demon down from destruction. Both times he'd managed to quell Sensoa's rage quicker than he expected! Alas, Carro was certain his luck had finally ran out- but being courteous and trying one last time couldn't hurt...

Sensoa watched as Carro turned, acting as if nothing was wrong, and even asking if he could be assistance to the demon. The demon's face soon turning to a frown as he looked at the young man's face. He was tired, exhausted even more so than the demon remembered, and looking like he could just fall over from being so tired already. The demon truly did pity Carro, as the death of this human would be a tragic lose for all their kind. He was kind hearted, and Sensoa knew he was betraying that kindness. Chime had been good to him, Tysco too and Carro along side that had painted a beautifully peaceful world. One that the demon felt was possible to live in, but the constant suffering he had endured at the hands of mortal kind had pushed him to far... Now all that was left was for them to stand for their own justices... Sensoa would stand for his... and Carro for his own.
"Carro... Thank you... for all that you've done... and in light of that. I will offering you the same thing I will offered Tysco... Leave this world and make your home somewhere else. I will not hunt you, nor will I kill you if you leave. There is no shame in fleeing."
Sensoa said this with a genuine tone, as he didn't want to kill Carro. He wouldn't do it now, it was not the time and nor did the demon feel the need to sink that low. When the time came, they would stand before each other as equals on the fields of battle or not... if Carro left.
"I am sure Saizomaru has told you already. In fact I am certain of it. Who else would he warn?"
Sensoa let out a long drawn out sigh, crossing his arms and shaking his head. Perhaps it would just be easier if he didn't talk with his opponents.
"Take your loved ones Carro... Flee..."
Those words were harder than they were before, difficult to utter because he knew that Carro would be abandoning his people and if the human was anything like Sensoa thought... He wouldn't leave this world in Sensoa's hands and the demon would have it no other way. While Carro's death would be a tragic one, it would be a fitting way for the demon to show the earthlings true despair. He would plunge this world into war, and make it a paradise for the strong to thrive. Whether Carro could accept this or not was not important. He didn't need their understanding, just their deaths or their abandonment of their people. Either one would work...

"Nah." Carro's response was immediate- blunt and monotone. There wasn't any need for thinking on his choice to stay. In spite of the clear stubborn, determined air he constantly shone with in the face of threats like the one Sensoa posed, there was something else in Carro's sharp gaze. He was eerily calm at the prospect of a bloody takeover of his home. Resigned to what was to come, but he fought so desperately against it at the same time. Tired.
The saiyan rested his head atop his hand, turning to gaze across the mountainscape once more. "I'unno what Saizo would warn me about, cause he hasn't talked to me. But I've met your type before." He lied again about his ignorance, but his latter claim was very much true. Carro continued to mask himself, but he couldn't stop one of his eyes from briefly twitching in repressed rage. "What'll it be? Blow up the planet? Genocide humanity? Take us over?" He chirped, just as casual as before. "You wouldn't be the first to try any of those. Not by a thousand miles." Carro knew better than anyone that Earth could never keep it's nose out of trouble. Sometimes Earth needed a hundred or so years to itself, but inevitably, there would always be a wise guy with a bright idea to poke the bear.
"Besides, there's ALL the shame in me, a leader chosen by Earth's people themselves, running when they need me most, friend." Carro yawned. There was a sarcastic, slightly snappy tone to his voice now. "Don't bother lying to me to make yourself feel better." And just like that, he was back to being casual.
Carro didn't turn to look at the demon, instead continuing to look over the landscape. He could make out a distant flock of birds when he looked closely. And that cloud above him looked like a rabbit if he looked at it from a certain angle! He could still see the puffs of breath escaping his mouth in the cold air. That meant Sensoa hadn't murdered him yet. Either he still wanted something, or perhaps his claims were just the tip of the iceberg when it came to what truly was going on in his head.
Maybe he'd get a good old villainous monologue in a bit, or maybe another cryptic warning from his newfound foe. But Carro wouldn't remain silent for long. "But I suppose it's only polite that I return the gesture." He rolled his shoulders. Being nice clearly didn't work with Sensoa, but offering an olive branch was habit at this point, like saying "please" or "thank you." "You can call this off, right here- right now. Save both of our sides the trouble." He glanced back with that same tired, yet genuine smile. "Take it from me, pal. This will not go your way." Carro left it at that. Even if the demon did "win," the President was nigh certain it wouldn't make Sensoa feel any better. He already knew the demon's response- he wouldn't give up just yet. There's no shame in fleeing, after all, he wanted to echo back to Sensoa. But the saiyan hushed his irritated quips. If push came to shove, he'd speak to Sensoa in the demon's own language, so to speak.

Sensoa listened to the other with a frown upon his face, the human speaking to him in a way that told the demon how he felt. He may be hiding behind a casual tone, but he never looked at Sensoa. The demon said nothing as the other spoke about how he wasn't the first to try this, to try to take over the world. Perhaps he hadn't been, perhaps he was in a long line of people who had attempted and failed. But what Carro failed to realize was that they were not Sensoa, a demon of conquest and war who would be unlike anything they had faced before. He couldn't help but smile a toothy grin at the defiance the human put up, and in that moment Sensoa understood Jinn's love for hero's and villains. Aye, this was how it should be, two rulers looking at each other as enemies. Sensoa knew he was evil, that his goals was considered 'evil' by humans. But that was in their eyes, as to him he felt his cause was just. It didn't matter who was right in the end, only that the last man standing was the victor. The battle that was to come was not for right or wrong, but survival. A war, a war that would rock this world to its core. The demon gave a small laugh then before holding out his hands. "Aye... I could. I could walk away from all of this, and never return. But I wont. I'll create a Utopia for the strong, where they are not smothered by the vines of the weak. Where they can flourish and thrive."Sensoa supposed this would be fitting, a death battle with a human leader and a demon, a soon to be a demon king who would create a kingdom of war. "Your kind are pitifully weak, easily crushed beneath my foot. Yet I realized as I lived among-st you that you lot have been strangling the strong. You've been coddled, protected by the strong and the weak make the rules because the strong are to weak willed to stand up. Your mass of numbers play mind games upon us and drive us further into the dark..."Sensoa's bloodlust was oozing from his aura now, a sadistic smile on his face as he took a few steps forward. "You can see it surely. The numbers of this people are many... Yet none of them are fighters. They require someone to watch over them like children, even as an adult. If I create this kingdom, sure a few will be culled in the coming storm, but the strong will thrive. Humanity, earth as a whole will benefit from this war! No longer will they need to create monsters to fight for them, but they will be strong enough to defend themselves."Sensoa took a few more steps forward, his aura was no longer warm like usual. It was cold, distant and violent. Where once fire was once in his belly about passion, this was a cold and calculating Sensoa. He was not going to let this continue, as some of the strongest fighters he knew lived on earth, but they were shackled by the weak. "Under my rule, they will learn how powerless they are and strive to become stronger. I will create an empire where they will not hunt the dragon balls for selfish gains, and the strong will be able to live at peace."Sensoa held out his hand to Carro then, knowing fully well that the human would not take it. "Join me Carro... We can create a world where earthlings are able to defend themselves and you won't have to coddle them like children. We can help them grow and not cause anymore suffering."Sensoa's logic was flawed, twisted and demented yet he could not see it. His path was destructive, yet he could not see past the goal. Perhaps he was beyond saving, he couldn't tell. Perhaps he was never able to be saved from the go. PL: 160,000

"Nah." Same tone, same quick response, what else was new? Carro kept his gaze away from Sensoa. Why would he bother looking at the raging tyrant when there was a much prettier Earth to behold in front of him? "You forgot to say "Leek, I am your father," though." Carro joked, though his reference would likely fly right over the ignorant demon's head- he even put on a raspier tone to mimic Darth Vapor's voice from the movies he'd watched. "Star Warriors- great movie trilogy, you should watch it. The prequels are terribad but in a funny way though." He cleared up, pointing a pair of finger guns back towards the misguided fool behind him.
Regardless, Carro wasn't sure to curse himself for jinxing it or to congratulate himself for winning his internal bet that he'd get a monologue. "Also... I thought I told you to stop lying to me two seconds ago." Carro raised a finger to begin his end of the lecture. "Because I didn't hear one bit of truth leave your mouth." Carro raised his other hand. He'd taken out a notebook as soon as Sensoa had began to rant. His writing was sloppy, nigh incoherent, but he'd written eleven objections to Sensoa's "points" already in a bulleted list, if the title "Things to correct" was any indication.
"Alright, my turn to monologue. From the top, we goooot..." Carro mumbled to himself, flipping through the paper for a few seconds. "Firstly, come back to me when you know the first thing about interplanetary governing, then we can talk about people flourishing under your fist." Carro didn't elaborate further- there was no need to. "If an empire was reeeallly what you wanted, you can go start it up on Mars or something." Ruling a planet was a lot more complicated than simply putting a crown on one's head or slapping away attackers, after all. Carro debated commenting on the fact that Sensoa was poking Earth of all things first, but he didn't want to give him any ideas. "And this whole weak-strong-whatever shtick?" He'd been nice, holding back any harsher comments towards Sensoa, but withholding would do no good now.
"Come on. There's a lot more to strength than being able to punch things really hard. I thought you'd know that better than anyone." The President had seen strength of all different kinds. Sensoa, physically speaking, was strong. Carro, though, found the stubborn demon's will to be weaker than one of his punches, with all fifty-something of his power level. "I don't care how many pieces you can snap my spine into. Strength isn't flawlessly winning time and time again- it's getting back up every time you get knocked down." Weakness wasn't inherently bad. Being vulnerable was a part of growing stronger. It sucked, but some things in life needed to be sucked up.
Carro finally hopped off his seat, turning to approach the demon. He barely came up to Sensoa's knees, but there was the frail mortal, staring down death in the eyes with burning defiance and confidence. But really, Carro wasn't sure why he was bothering with this rant. He knew how this was going to end. "...And here you are, caving to brutal violence to be rid of us 'weaklings who need someone to protect us.'" Carro took another step forward. "You're avoiding the truth. You're letting these "pitiful humans" get to you. You're staying down."
"Who's really the weakling here, Sensoa?" "Did someone call you mean names for killing their family? Did they disagree with something you said or did? I didn't know someone having an opinion, or, you know, not wanting to die shackles you." Sensoa went on about how he could crush all of Earth's puny humans, but he also went on about how he suffered at their hands. Surely, he didn't loose a fistfight to one to trigger this mindset. He could afford to let a little sarcasm slip in. Being nice didn't get the point across in their two prior encounters, so brutal, bitter honesty was the next best thing. "Whatever. You're the victim. Shame on us for being different and having rules." Carro shrugged, pacing backwards to lean against the trees.
Carro folded his arms, keeping one palm atop his watch. If Sensoa got as snappy as he expected, he'd need LEO's aid. "My people are stronger than you can ever be on this path of yours- Every last one of them." Carro clicked his tongue, his boot tapping impatiently on the snow. "Now will you please stop lying to me and get to the real point?"

Sensoa kept the toothy smile as Carro voiced his opinion on Sensoa's words. The demon was not impressed by the sarcasm in the tiny human's voice, speaking to him in a tone that showed defiance. It was true that Sensoa didn't know how to run an empire in the mortal realm, but in his realm he would do quite well... Which is what he planned to do. He planned to turn this world into a paradise for himself, and he would create a world where he could live. He could leave this world, let the human's live in their tiny little dream of safety and peace... But that wasn't going to happen. "Hahaha! You truly are amusing... No I have long accepted I am not the victim here, but rather I will be the problem. I have been the problem and I am an outside force. You mortals brought me here... You lot put chains on me and it seems ironic that I put chains upon you in return. Not to show you how it feels, but to show you how weak you all are. I broke free... And now I am the debt collector."Sensoa's aura was like the frozen tundra, deathly chill as if that cold hatred could reach out to grab the very world around him. It was befitting of someone who had lost their true self, or perhaps they were just broken? Sensoa could not sense this, nor did he think upon it. "I do not need to learn how to rule an empire like you do, because I will create one that is beyond your pitiful words. Aye strength is beyond just being what you can hit, you take my words to literal... But I suppose that makes sense when you are so crippled by your own weakness."Sensoa could easily just step on Carro and crush him, but he knew the value of Carro's life... He was a leader and that would crush moral if he was killed before the hundreds of thousands of earthlings. "I do not do this because mortal kind have hurt me... No I do this because they hurt themselves and are in such a trance that they do not realize the falsehoods that take them. A war rages even as we speak, all around us. Yet the humans live in peace, they walk the streets in a daze. They do not fear the war that comes, so they do not prepare for it. Instead they let others do it for them because they think they do not need to dirty their hands! I will wake them up and make them see that reality is a cruel place."Sensoa's eyes grew wide then, his hands outstretched to exaggerate his point. "From the ashes of this worthless world I shall forge an empire that makes the universe think twice before coming here. They will see the strength produced from this world and they will know the name of Sensoa Ghoun as the reason. If I have to cull a few 'families' because they are weak then so be it. In this world where the weak are coddled and held as important, they will realize just how worthless they truly are. They will despise me, and rise up to kill me, but I will grow stronger from their hatred. Their hatred will in turn fuel them and it will be an ever growing paradise of strength. Just as my father did for me, teaching me to harness my anger as a fuel for my power. I to shall teach the earth how to harness this anger and become an unstoppable force! But I just need to wake them up first. And you...."Sensoa kneeled down then so his eyes were even with Carro's and narrowing menacingly. There was a maniacal look in them, like someone who had been pushed to far and this was the broken results. Perhaps he was just venting this all and was completely wrong. Perhaps he was correct, the demon was uncertain. He was just stumbling forward, but this seemed so... right to him... "You carro... Your death before your people will bring their hopes crashing down... And as it crumbles into dust... as Despair settles in... That tiny little spark will be born... A hatred... anger... All the things that drove me to become this strong... It will bring them to their knees and produce the strong. They will grow stronger to rebel... In their rebellion I shall grow stronger... and it will be a never ending cycle of power..."Sensoa sneered then, a sadistic smile that showed how much he was anticipating his battle with Carro. Both for his death and for the coming battle. "So gather your allies carro... Gather your friends... For the hour of your kinds awakening is now..."With that Sensoa stood up slowly, to await Carro's response to this. PL: 160,000

CARRO'S PL: 50 | LEO'S PL: 1,380,000 (x12T || 115k BASE)
Oh, another monologue. Carro clicked his tongue, raising his notebook once again. Behind the fiddling of his pen, the saiyan would subtly tap a few buttons on his watch. The digital clock's screen flashed briefly. During Sensoa's entire spiel, Carro retained the same tired expression. If this was a nightmare, he wanted to wake up and be done with this now. But just as Sensoa knelt down with that condescending, cocksure tone ever present, the air above rippled ever so subtly... In the span of a second, the sky bellowed open, releasing a orange burst down towards Sensoa mid-rant as he began to finish his last sentence.
Carro stumbled back from the force of the sudden blast direct to the demon. Snow filled the air, blanketing everything in a thick veil of pale white. When he saw a pair of orange eyes loom above, and a feline tail curl around his position protectively, Carro felt a weak smile creep across his face. "Rule number one of monologuing;" The saiyan raised his arm, giving his metallic watch a quick poke. Upon it was a small antennae, still emitting a dull glow. The screen now read "COORDINATES BROADCASTED" rather than the time. "Don't watch the mouth. Watch the hands." Beside him sat LEO, towering high over the much tinier demon. If she wasn't so sure about the power Sensoa held, LEO would have tried to quash him under her claws like a piece of gum. For now, the mech remained silent, lowering her form slightly with eyes locked onto her enemy.
The saiyan grumbled, looking at his notepad. "Anyways, where was I...?" Carro clicked his tongue before recalling his thoughts. "You keep glorfying yourself, putting your oh great and mighty essence on this podium- what you're doing is for some twisted greater good, you keep telling yourself. It's totally justified, you keep saying." He briefly voiced back his perception of the rant Sensoa gave. Still, he'd sigh, narrowing his gaze. "All this is appears as is senseless spite and anger with a toxic god complex to boot. Nothing more, nothing less." The President briefly debated elaborating, but held his tongue. If Sensoa couldn't see how twisted his falsified view was, then no amount of words could bring him back. "I'll say it plainly. You're wrong. You're weak. You misconstrue reality to fuel your own selfish perspective,"
Carro knew his words wouldn't work, but he continued. As tired and done as he was, the saiyan had his own ideals. He was blunt, and didn't care to elaborate on much. In spite of his stubborn determination, there was a strange, defeated air lingering around him at the same time. "You'll regret ever leaving this rock without changing your intentions. Nobody will benefit. Not even you, liar." Earth wouldn't last a day under Sensoa's banner. Anyone he didn't kill would likely die from his probably negligence- starvation, infighting, you name it. There wouldn't be a soul to contest him like he claimed, Carro believed. He opened his mouth, but ended with a sigh after nothing came out.
"Whatever. I'm done humoring you. There's a handy-dandy phrase we "puny mortals" like to call agree to disagree." He sighed, running a hand down his face. "I've given you far too many wasted chances than you deserve, but..." Carro trailed off, leaving his thoughts on the matter vague. LEO glanced to her partner in silence. She could feel that masked fear in his heart, clear as day. He could hide it all he wanted, but Carro couldn't hide his own truths from LEO. "...Do us both a favor and spare me the monologue. It's useless." Telling Sensoa how wrong he was would never work, Carro was nigh certain. Perhaps it was time for a change of pace- and he would soon show instead of tell.LEO enters the fray with 115,000 base PL! OVERDRIVE (+x3) and LIFELINK (x9) are active (x12 total)!
