The pillar of light slowly dissipated as the Shinjin – Sābanto – Stood upon the surface of the new world, once again having finally traversed the void between realms and returned to the Mortal Plain. Adorned in a very professional, very dapper suit; Sābanto would look at the planet that was ‘Namek’. It was…less luxurious as the Konatsian Typha would’ve led him to believe as the land around him seemed desolate and devoid of life. A cough escaped his lips as a heaviness filled him. Though relatively unaffected by planetary atmospheric changes, the Shinjin still felt a bit weakened at the moment.
“W-Wha? What’s happening…to-“
Sābanto stumbled forward as he began to move frantically through the Crags. He could barely stand the feeling and in a desperate attempt to escape, the Shinjin would exert all of his power (transforming briefly) and fly high into the air. The higher he got, the less deprived of life he felt. Burning upon his lapel, the brooch of power – Jinki – throbbed with concern, or maybe it just throbbed with energy; the way Sābanto regarded it was almost as if the thing were alive on its own.
“…I’m fine Jinki…I’m fine…”
He thought that something wasn’t quite right. Though he was sure his coordinates and he was sure of the magical compass’ direction toward the large tree in Afterlife that was said to act as a leypoint between the coils and would directly teleport him to Namek, Sābanto couldn’t quite understand. According to the warrior, Typha, the planet Namek was a lush blue-green world. This, didn’t look anything like what he was told about.
Continuing his flight for a time, the Shinjin would reach out with the senses that he’d trained to hone over years and years of visiting the mortal realm. He was astounded to detect such insanely potent levels of power, the likes of which even some of the Kai’s didn’t possess. Curious…however…there was one energy that seemed to radiate differently from all the rest. A familiar presence, one that could only be possessed by-
“A Kai?! Here?!”
Sābanto was instantly worried. If there was a Kai here, then his aspirations for the Dragon Balls may be null and void. Still, he figured if there were a Shinjin here – maybe they weren’t one of his peers. After all, he had never heard of a Shinjin living in the mortal world. Curious, he headed towards the position that he’d felt – towards the Foreign energy. Truly unaware of the horrible blunder he’d made – Sābanto felt confident that his time on ‘Namek’ would be well spent. Perhaps the he’d be able to ally with the Kai he’d find. After all, maybe they too had been bitten by the voracious bug that was Avarice.
A smirk crossed his lip as the familiar throb of his Brooch once again caught his attention. “Yes yes Jinki. If so, then you shall feast well tonight. Remember…let me lead – as long as I can speak and you stay dormant, unseen, we shall be fine.”
Without another word – the Shinjin closed onto his target of curiosity.

Kiko's PL:5,000 Brand's PL: 10,000
Watching Brand’s back as he took the lead reluctantly, Kiko tried to hold back an exasperated sigh. He was annoyed with her. Or, more likely, Basil. Kiko had wanted to go out to survey Vegeta as its probably soon to be Guardian, and Basil hadn’t been sleeping lately. He was too busy making lesson plans to ensure that she got a proper mortal and divine education. He was worse than her old teachers in some respects. She had ordered him to take the day off and even went so far as to have Bravo knock him out to do it. Bravo was watching over him today, making sure he got his rest and taking care of him. Shaking her head, Kiko scowled. Didn’t Basil know that he wasn’t an immortal like her? He had to take care of himself. So, that led to having Brand take a break from his near constant training to be her escort. He had been working nonstop to get stronger and challenge Kayen again. Kiko didn’t really get that sort of thing, but she shrugged it off because it would be good if Brand got stronger. She could protect more people with all of her disciples. That put a bit of a smile on her face, which was immediately soured by a harrumph by Brand. “Stop whining already! Suck it up!”“Tch!”In an instant, Kiko felt the abrupt arrival of some strange life energy. It was… divine! Like hers. Was it one of her teachers come to take her back to Otherworld? She thought Brand had taught them their lesson a long time ago. Hurrying over to his side, she held onto his hand. He jerked away in surprise, but Kiko stuck with him, staring off in the direction of the other Shinjin. “...What is it?”“It’s another Shinjin.”She looked up at Brand with big eyes full of defiance and determination. She didn’t wanna go back. She wasn’t going back. Brand’s harsh eyes softened just a touch as he tugged his hand away and patted her once on the top of her head. It was all the reassurance that Kiko needed. Together they flew up to meet the other Shinjin with Kiko pointing out the way to go. Brand poised himself protectively in front of her as another Shinjin came into view. “You there! If you think you’re going to take me, you’re wrong! Brand, get him.”Waves of purple energy formed in Brand’s hand, distorting the air around it so that it looked like a heat mirage. He lifted it up threateningly. He didn’t intend to attack unless provoked unlike his little lady’s command. He figured that she would be fine with as much. She just didn’t want to leave the mortal world yet. And… if Brand had anything to say about it, she wouldn’t go. “I think you’d better make yourself scarce.”

As the shinjin approached the location of his desire, he was met quite suddenly by two figures whom quickly impeded his way with both actions and words. The first, a small young shinjin whose very essence made it clear that she was quite young (younger in fact than any of the Kai he’d encountered thus far in his life). The other a strange cat like creature, purple of skin but with an extremely defensive aura radiating outward from his core. He was curious why they’d decided to approach as they did, though the quick response from the child-like Shinjin was more than evident as to the reason.
“-If you think you’re going to take me, you’re wrong! Brand, Get him!”
Her declaration of defiance falling on the wrong ears, enforced swiftly by the deep and powerful voice of the Catman. Raising both of his hands in mock defense, Sābanto swiftly did his best to dissuade any violence towards his person. His voice, cracking in fear, showed that maybe he wasn’t there for what the young Shinjin was accusing him of;
“T-take you back? Take you back where?! I-I Didn’t even know there was another Shinjin here On Namek! Please don’t hurt me!”
Sabanto was slightly cowardly in his approach, though most of it was an act that he’d put on to ensure his own safety – he was indeed a bit scared of the sheer force of strength radiating off the one standing beside the Shinjin. It was clear he wasn’t here for Kiko – nor was he here to fight. From his words, it’d come off that maybe he was simply lost! Trying to explain himself further, the young Shinjin of Greed continued forth, stammering out his responses as quickly and fluidly as he could.
“I-I Simply came t-to see if there were any truth to the rumors. A Soul in Otherworld told me of several mystical orbs that when brought together would grant a wish. I’m…inquisitive of these sort of things y’see? It’s in my nature, I had to see if it were true. Please! I promise I’m not here for you, I simply came here to Namek without any idea of what I’d witness here.”
His story would apparently check out just simply due to the fevered pitch to his defense. The shock in his eyes at even witnessing another Shinjin was also evidence in his favor. Bowing low, he decided maybe introducing himself may be the better idea;
“My name is Sābanto – I’m known as an Attendant Shinjin, I’m nothing important really…but I felt the desire to traverse the Mortal Realm for myself; see what it had to offer before they take to our final lessons. It was by sheer chance I came across you. Forgive my impetuousness…I did not mean to concern you with thoughts of capture” Smiling as he stood, he opened his arms wide; "Please, allow me to be of service to you."

Kiko couldn’t tell if this guy was bluffing or stupid. This was obviously not Namek. Kiko had never been to Namek herself, but from what she understood, it was green and grassy and bright for as far as the eye could see. Nothing like the red earth and sky of Vegeta. Honestly, the scenery was one of the reasons that Kiko had built her castle underground. So she could make a little oasis once she had purified the place of the destron gas. Some nice blue sparkling water. Some greenery. It was gonna be nice. Hm.
Well, anyway, it seemed like this guy had come to the mortal world for one of the reasons she had. The Dragon Balls. Though, she had been originally investigating the revival of the Konatsian people. From his stammering, both she and Brand quickly inferred that he wasn’t here for her. In fact, the dork was hopelessly lost. Kiko sighed and shook her head. He seemed harmless enough. Sābanto was his name. Okay.
Giving Brand a nod that it was okay, Kiko stepped forward and put a hand to her chest.
“I am Kiko Kai! The Guardian of this world and the Shinjin of Pride!”
Her posturing done, she relaxed and jabbed her thumb backwards.
“And you missed Namek. It’s like way over there. Waaaay over there. This is Vegeta, homeworld of the Saiyans. But… if you want to pledge your fealty to the next Supreme Kai, then I’ll take it!”
Kiko liked the idea of having her own attendant Shinjin. It made her feel important. Hehe. As a childishly dreamy smile spread over her face, Brand nudged her out of her daydream.
“Ah! Right! Well! If you want to go to Namek, I could show you the way.”
Kiko was pretty confident in her own Kai Kai. She was pretty sure that she was the youngest her age to master it. For sure. Namek was where those Dragon Balls were. Maybe it was time for a little adventure! Tarch might be there too. Hopefully. She could hope. Ha, she didn’t want to see him or anything, hahaha… ha… Kiko was lost to her daydreams again as Brand rolled his eyes and sighed.

Sabanto was pleased at her actions. The younger of the two – the obvious one calling the shots it seemed - introduced herself as Kiko Kai, Guardian of Vegeta and the Shinjin of Pride. The irony of meeting another Kai with a similar design as he – both in desire and destiny – elicited a smile from the other. For someone so young, she had a lot of pride indeed! Going as far as to declaring herself the next Supreme Kai? It was all so quaint the other Shinjin couldn’t help but being chuckling. So cute the entire situation was, until he found out he was in the wrong place.
“I Overshot my stop? Damn.”
So, this wasn’t Namek at all. Planet Vegeta – as she called it – was home to ta race known as the Saiyans; a race he was somewhat familiar with due to their actions in the past against the Mazoku Dominion and the many other conflicts that arose across the galaxy. He was amazed at the fact that he’d screwed up so intensely with the information that he’d received from Karon. Still, fortuitous situations occur when you least expect them, now that he knew where he was he simply figured he’d fulfil the promise he made to the Konatsian in Otherworld; Tell the Queen of Saiyans that her friend was dead.
“While I appreciate your Offer, Kiko, I can call you Kiko right? Well; Kiko – as much as I’d like to go right to Namek now, it seems that this overshot of mine may have been more beneficial than not. Since I’m here, I might as well do that favor I owed someone back in Otherworld and speak to the Queen. It’s not every day you get a messenger like me. I come bearing a message from a denizen of the dead.”
As he went on to explain about how he met the Konatsian in Otherworld, explained his death and the situation he’d been told about with Namek and their Dragon Balls, Sabanto’s stomach would begin to rumble in the most loud and obnoxious of ways. A simple thing that he’d always overlooked due to his people’s uncanny need to simply exist without sustenance – being in the Mortal Realm triggered all sorts of things in a Shinjin’s body. The most important of them all being the need for food.
“Oof. S-Sorry, I can continue but I’m a bit famished to say the least. It has been a long few days. Do you perhaps have a place we can go to rest? I’m honestly a bit out of sorts at the moment and could use a quiet place to either meditate or find some food.”
Sabanto smiled kindly nodding at both Kiko and the Cat like creature. He was still very impressed at the sheer force of strength the other radiated; so much so that he was curious why he was following such a weaker being such as Kiko. Perhaps there was more to this youth then she let on. Nevertheless, Sabanto hoped she’d acquiesce to his request.

Kiko stares blankly at Sabanto when he said that his little detour was fine. She shrugged. Alright. She didn’t have any personal desire to leave Vegeta aside from getting Brand away from his obsession over Kayen. Or defeating her anyway. Kiko felt her eyes glaze over as he went on to describe a Konatsian or whoever that had died. She knew some Konatsians. Hm. She wondered how foolish Typha was doing since that time she had dropped in on his room. Probably fine. It was only went Brand poked her cheek that she started to pay attention again. Something about food?
“That’s alright! I’ll allow you the privilege of joining me for a snack in my… sanctuary!”
She wasn’t too sure what to call it actually. It didn’t look like a holy place that was for sure. Kiko gestured for Sabanto to follow and floated up to rest on Brand’s head. He seemed rather cross about it, but he allowed it. They led the way down into the destron crags where some ghosts floated eerily by the group. Kiko occasionally zapped one with some divine energy when it drew too close, purifying it of its corruption. There were a lot of ghosts here. Purifying all of them would take a lot of time. Kiko sighed. One day this would be a paradise. That day was not today.
As the group entered the huge chasm that her castle resided in, Kiko sent a mental ping to both Basil and Bravo to prepare for their guest. Before them, a castle hung suspended over the chasm as destron gas wafted around it. It looked like a demon’s stronghold rather than a place where a Shinjin resided. At least from the outside. Kiko had been going for something girly and frilly. It had turned out so poorly. In an effort to distract from how menacing her castle looked, Kiko turned back and addressed Sābanto.
“So this is my castle. I’ve alerted my other two disciples, so they’ll have some food prepared. Sorry about the ghosts. I’m taking some pains to cleanse this place, but it’s going to take some time. I wonder if I should tell some ogres about it or something…”
Getting ogres to clean up around here would certainly be helpful. Easier for her too. But then she would have more time. And more time meant that Basil could torment her with more studies. Maybe she would just keep this to herself.
“If fighting them is all…”
“Hm? Oh. No, I think there’s more that goes into it. You have to be able to drag them back to Otherworld. I mean it would be handy if you could go back and forth like an Ogre, but you’re just a foolish mortal, Brand. You could try though. Don’t you use them for target practice anyway?”
Brand sniffed and snapped his head to one head in a huff. What? What is something she said? Unsure, Kiko just shrugged it off and floated into the castle proper where Basil was waiting. Her human disciple offered the three of them one of his deepest bows.
“Welcome back, Lady Kiko and Honored Guest.”
