Searching for dragon balls without a radar was difficult to put it lightly. Especially considering the fact that she probably had to search every square inch of the planet to be able to find them all and account for the fact other competitors were searching as well and could grab them at any moment. At this point, Aisise was just waiting for Casca to contact her with news that she found another dragon ball. But as the hours and days passed, she got nothing. Her own search was also turning fruitless as well. However, she couldn't give up yet. No, that was failure if she did. She had to try and spend her whole life searching if necessary. However, perhaps she didn't have to go completely unaided. Perhaps she could get some more spiritual help.
By no means was Aisise a stranger to the spiritual side of the world, especially with what she learned during her time at Septrippe. While she wasn't exactly someone of faith, perhaps just something to clear her mind would do the trick. Anything. It also just so happened that she was near the rumored Grand Elder Village she heard quite a bit about when this thought came to her. From what she knew, she was sure that this was a place that was full of people who were spiritual and possibly willing to help her. It was worth a shot, even if she got denied or if their help did nothing. Besides, Aisise felt that if she didn't take another break she could possibly lose her mind. She would very much like to remain sane for the duration of this hunt if she could.
Entering the village, Aisise looked around and silently observed the scene around her. Indeed, the buildings seemed archaic and she had felt a strange energy coursing through the air which seemed much calmer than normal. Perhaps it was the fact that this was one of the original villages in Namek and the people were rather old fashioned themselves. Still, it was a nice change of pace. Who knows, maybe she'll even meet someone she met before here. However, for not she would begin her quest for some sort of spiritual guidance to help her find the next balls or just something to give her a peace of mind for once. While the former was preferable, both would be great for her.

Steno considered himself a prolific fighter, a well-trained warrior, and a good judge of strength and power. Since he had officially become the guardian of Oboe he had the chance to put exactly none of that to any semblance of use thus far. He was having to make failed attempts at being a diplomat, hide himself, greet strangers, and try not to stick out like a sore thumb while Oboe was hiding. He was so far out of his comfort zone that it was starting to look as if he was just some fresh-faced Namekian following the Guru around more than a trained guardian sent to protect him. The worst part of the entire situation was the fact that his weaknesses were glaring, and he had already failed in an instance of protecting Oboe from some monstrous creature with the time he took getting to his post and finding the Guru. A Konastian by the name of Typha had put himself in harms way and in return lost his life to keep Oboe safe, and it was hanging heavy around his neck.
Despite the mental blocks, frustration setting in, and the guilt he couldn't shake, no one would have assumed as much just by looking at the four-armed Namekian who held himself like someone in his official position. The moment he saw a familiar face however, for the brief moment his eyes stopped and locked onto them he slumped and his confident steps wavered. since the first time he had met her he had learned of this Typha person more specifically and while he couldn't answer her about it before he actually knew the details and had no idea how to approach the topic or if he even should. Maybe it was best not to bring it up at all and just approach and say hello, but at this point he was actually starting to stick out more as he had completely stopped walking, so lost in thought he hadn't noticed the few people that had to walk around to avoid him. Taking a deep breath as he snapped out of his thought, he moved forward to cross the distance between them and stopped a few feet short, raising a single left arm to wave, not quite speaking yet as he was internally afraid he might start blurting out unnecessary comments at any moment.

The people of this village were nice enough. Most of them stared at the newcomer, but it wasn't an welcome look but rather a concerned look. Namek was full with new travelers these days, especially those that were seeking the dragon balls. In response, she cheerfully greeted them and waved. She didn't want to be feared, just to be treated normally. Aisise, would even begin a conversation with a few of them, beginning a light chat about some more common topics before eventually asking where she could find spiritual guidance. To her dismay, most of them would point her towards the guru, whom was generally travelling, while the rest merely apologized and said they had no idea.
As she was trying to find some more people to ask, Aisise noticed something in the corner of her eye. A familiar four armed namekian raised one arm in a sign of a greeting. Her own arm shot up upon seeing this. "Steno! Nice to see you," she said as she made her way over to him. "I'm guessing you're also a bit of a traveler as well. I guess protectors don't have off days around here. Granted, I kinda know what's it like." While she was assigned to protect Riis, she hardly even spent a month with him until they quickly pulled her off duty. However, she couldn't help but wonder if she would turn into someone like him. Of course, the people they were protecting were different. Hers was only one person while Steno was more indiscriminate. Perhaps she could try that out one day, becoming the protector of the people, as much work as the duty seemed to hold.
Her thoughts were getting off topic now. After refocusing herself back to the moment, Aisise wondered herself if Steno happened to know anyone willing to help her. "I just came here to see if I could find some spiritual guidance, y'know." She said with an uneasy smile. "I'm in a bit of a problem, and I was wondering if you happened to know anyone that could possibly help. You know, besides the guru. I don't want to bother him right now either." For now, she would keep her intentions a secret. While she didn't think it was a big deal, it wasn't something she wanted to say out in the open either.

Steno was so lost in his own thoughts it took him a few moments longer than it should have to stop waving and cross his arms, looking just a touch on edge. "Hi again. Forgive me, but I can't recall your name. I seem to be meeting so many new people as of late between new arrivals, those wanting to meet Oboe, and those trying to monologue before throwing punches at me. It's all a bit overwhelming right now." People meeting Steno as the Guardian of guru either dismissed it or didn't realize that he had only been in his position for a few weeks and a lot had been put on his plate in a very short span of time. "That's an understatement. I'm starting to feel like that toy Earth humans play with that goes down on the string and comes back over and over again." So far so good, and if he could simply keep up with some sort of small talk and let her steer the conversation a bit more it was likely he could avoid putting a foot in his mouth.
Thankfully for Steno, it seemed she had a goal in mind and a topic to stay on, but a question he wasn't sure how to answer. "Spiritual guidance in what sense exactly? You are on the right planet for it in general I would say, but that's a deep rabbit hole to jump down." She seemed to be the first person not running directly to Oboe with every problem, including some of the other Namekians. "Well if you explain in a bit more detail I could attempt to help more. It's appreciated you are looking for help from others but Oboe as I've seen everything from people seeking training in magic to those quite literally coming to him crying about a stubbed toe because of his healing magic. I'm not a healer, so I can't help you with anything in that regard, but I imagine I can help or point you towards who can."

Aisise waved a dismissive hand when the namekian mentioned that he forgot her name. "Nah, it's not a big deal. Call me whatever you want, even just Konatsian if you want." She offered. While admittedly she was a bit disappointed at the fact he had forgotten her name, she understood the reason. It must be pretty hard suddenly having your home planet populated like that. However, she gave a nervous chuckle when Steno mentioned Earth with how it appeared to be a meeting ground for dangerous creatures and other beings alike. "Hey, I guess it's nice having a bunch of tourist around for some time. A lot livelier than Konats was before..." Her voice trailed as a brief memory flashed by her eyes, causing her stumble back a bit. "Nevermind, forget I said that."
As they went back to the question on spiritual guidance, Aisise wondered out to word this. While she didn't want to outright say what she was looking for, she also wanted her wish to become specific. "Well, I'm looking for something. I'll be honest, I'm not an expert at anything spiritual. I just know it because I had a former mentor that taught me the basics. However, I wanted guidance for the path I'm about to take. Something that will lead me to what I desire in the near future." She said, reaching out her hand out to right in front of her. "Something, anything that will help me. Power, wisdom, even a dragon ball if that's what fate leads me." Or at least, what she really hoped would lead her to.
"It's fine that you're not a healer like Oboe," she offered encouragingly. "You know this place a hundred times better than I do and I know that you'll most likely be able to find someone to help me." Someone was better than nobody. And she didn't want to be stuck by herself on this journey. Plus, there was some other things that she wanted to confirm with some spiritual person... Something that the elder had told her on Septrippe that she had been questioning since she came here. However, as curious as she was, her duties came first right now. "If you can't its fine. I can do my best to find one myself. I thank you for trying at the very least." While she was rather pessimistic on the fact that she could discover one herself, she couldn't give up now. There were many questions that she needed answered.

"I would much prefer to call you by your name. You are an individual after all, so I'd prefer not to simply refer to you by the species you were born from." He tried again to remember her name, hoping he could simply blurt it out, but he had met so many people with so many problems and stories and it was all a bit overwhelming. Something as small as a name was hard to keep track of when he was trying to make sure no one was likely to be attacked at any moment. Looking up as if he was thinking on her words, he simply looked back and shook his head some. "I can't agree unfortunately. While it is nice to meet those looking to better themselves or seek specific guidance, it's rather tiresome given my position. I have to make sure no one showing up is a threat, or isn't just trying to get a picture taken or a laundry list of other things. It adds stress and truthfully takes up time in a day that takes away from my other duties, which then have to get done so I end up with no time but waking, checking on Guru, babysitting strangers, running around all over the planet, and by the time things are done I get to sleep and start from scratch.", raising his hands in a bit of a shrug. "It's nice meeting people like you I suppose, as you seem less like a tourist than most. At least it doesn't feel like babysitting talking to you. Though I'll admit I miss the days I could train much more often as all this standing around gets to me at times. " Going from quiet training and lots of time for meditation to explosions, fights, crowds, and answering a million questions added onto the weight his job entailed on its own and it was starting to get to him more and more.
The usual stoic stare from Steno slowly turned into an exaggerated raised brow as she tried to explain what she wanted without explaining it at all, and the Namekian had no idea what it was she was getting at. His brow lowered just as slowly, but not until she specifically mentioned the dragon balls, causing him to immediately tense up and go on guard. It was likely she had no idea, but it was a sore subject for most Namekians when it came to off-worlders showing up looking for them given past and even recent events revolving around them. "If what you are looking for are the dragon balls then I'm afraid I can't help you there. Besides, one of the Saiyans has three of them on her person as we speak, so even if I could there isn't much I can do about that specifically." His words sounded much less kind than previously, not specifically cutting or angry, but almost lacking emotion as if purposely cutting them off. There was more emotion running through the topic than he could release in any sort of healthy manner, and it was just easier to bottle it up in this instance. His muscles started to relax again as he exhaled a quiet sigh. "That being said, it doesn't mean I'm not willing to help you in others ways, just not with that specifically. Plus I'm not comfortable putting you in that sort of danger. The amount of guilt already weighing on these shoulders of mine feel like a thousand arms tugging me to the ground at all times. I couldn't handle adding another tugging arm if you ended up hurt because I sent you off in a direction looking for dragon balls. I stand by what I said though; if I can help in any other way, just ask. I know a lot about a lot, but I can't answer a question without the question."

She could understand where he came from, although she was really fine just being referred to as 'konatsian'. "Aisise," she said with a small smile. It was nice at least he was trying to put the effort in to memorizing the names of those who had come to Namek at the very least. It was a much better effort than simply just calling someone by their looks. She could appreciate that much. "Well, at least this fiasco will soon be over. Once the wishes are made, things will be a lot more quiet and you have more time to yourself." She knew at the very least that the dragon balls disappear after they have been used up. It was a cycle that would continue, although Aisise decided not to comment on that to add up any stress that might have already been on Steno's shoulders.
When she touched on the subject of the dragon balls, Aisise got the response that she had been hoping not to get. Perhaps it would have been better if she didn't mention it in the first place. "Yeah, I know. I just hoped... It's not a big deal anyways," waving a dismissive hand at the topic, she did the best to hide the disappointment she felt. If only she could get in contact with one of the saiyans and explain the situation that she had at hand. Steno would continue to elaborate, causing her to perk up. She could somewhat sympathize with what he was saying. He could have possibly gone through many losses and it wasn't an easy thing to bear on her shoulders. Maybe for now it was better for her to get off the topic of the dragon balls. There was another thing that she wanted to get answers for. Aisise had been so focused on bringing home Typha she had nearly forgotten about her own wants. It could lighting the conversation a bit so she could later ease it back in.
"Well, there is a couple things thing I do want some guidance on. One more than the other," Aisise glanced away from Steno as she continued to speak. "It's something that I've experienced when I was a little girl that I nearly forgot about until it resurfaced over a year ago. Those that I consulted didn't understand anything. Maybe, one of the dragon clan members can help me with it." Where to start? She thought to herself, grimacing. It was a bit of a touchy subject, something that she had kept to herself for a long time. However, Aisise wanted answers rather than just being left in the dark. "You see, this may sound strange, but I feel like there might be someone watching over me, like a guardian of some sorts. I was wondering if you happened to know anything on the topic." A weight felt as if it had been lifted off her shoulders as she verbally acknowledged this for the first time in a year. Was it just some sort of crazed dream that she had or could it be something more than that.

He simply nodded in response to her name, with no other response shown, but he was glad to have something to call her, assuming he could remember, aside from Konatsian. The topic of the dragon balls once again made his lip curl a bit. "I'm not even sure if it will be over soon at this point. Things have come to an awkward stand still as of late.", looking off into the distance at seemingly nothing, but a very focused look as if he noticed something regardless. "It all depends on how things go. Last time the Saiyans showed up and made their wishes they helped in leaving our Planet in a bad place. People seem to think it was the World Trade Fleet that showed up causing trouble and the Saiyans were some sort of heroes, but it was that Saiyan Nashua handing the dragon radar off to one of those Arcosians that sent things spiraling even further into chaos. If it ends up like it did last time, they will leave and we will have to spend another year picking up the pieces. I appreciate them helping, or at least Oboe thinks they are, but some of the same ones that showed up before are here again, and frankly they make me nervous." He had opened up far more than he had intended to, turning to her as his face fell to stone once more as if he had suddenly snapped back and caught himself too late.
She once again had his attention as she spoke up after a bit of an awkward silence, causing him to turn back to her just as she seemed to look away. She began to speak again and similarly as before she was dancing around the subject, which meant she was stalling or didn't want to bring it up, but it was hard to know how to help without pulling it out of her. His brow furrowed a bit as he could see the looks spreading across her face and he couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking, looking as if she were fighting with herself whether to speak or not. "I suppose that depends on the belief of your people. I believe there is a similar belief within Namekian culture, but some take it more literally than others. Some simply belief it's a matter of luck and people trying to correlate it with a higher power looking out for them. Others believe it to truly be a divine being watching the strings of their fate and guiding them along safely. I believe that's hard to give an answer on that might be satisfying as that is something you have to believe or know for yourself. Unless I'm misinterpreting."

Aisise was relieved when she wasn't the only one who noticed that strange stand still on the hunt. When she just arrived, she had sensed the dragon ball fever, only for it to die down the longer that she was here. However, Casca was one of the few that still had the fever, thankfully. At least it did make it slightly easier for her to get the dragon balls. However, she still had no idea what to do with the other wishes if she got her hands on them. She had no interest in power, riches or immortality or stuff like that. As she continued to listen to Steno's words, Aisise was appalled by the behavior of some of the visitors. Was this what it was truly like on planets that had the dragon balls? "Maybe, when they return I could try to convince the royal family to send some help for everyone the next time the dragon balls come around. That way it isn't as big as a mess as before." She offered. Granted, it wasn't a guarantee since she had absolutely no say in the matter. But maybe if she just put up a word about all the namekians help in bringing home the prince, they would consider it.
Steno unfortunately didn't have a straight answer for the problem that she was facing, merely counting it to belief. "Us Konatsians aren't very religious at all. There are some that are spiritual, our wizards you could say, but I'm not one of them." She paused for a moment, looking at her right hand as she began to call upon a magic. Soon the appendage was surrounded by a black energy. "I wasn't born to a family with spiritual powers, however, I was taught magic but it came from an unknown source. It's not like the general mystical arts that gains its power from the world around us." With a flick of her hand, the energy disappeared once again. "I also know its definitely not ki though, since this is what mine looks like." She would then create a small sphere of ki in her hand. Unlike the magic from before, it was a pale yellow hue without a hint of black inside of it.
Aisise sighed and shook her head. "I don't know if its a guardian or something like that. But it seems to be directly affecting me as well. And I want answers. I had thought that perhaps that one of the elders or the more spiritual namekians would be able to help me with this problem." If that voice truly was just a guardian, why would she only obtain their help when her life was truly in danger and about to end? Why didn't it help her throughout other times like during the android invasion of Arcose or when she faced off against the general? Why did it take over a decade and a half for her to hear from them again. Who was that voice and why did they sound so familiar?

Steno softly shook his head and waved her off a bit as she offered convincing others to send help. "I prefer to handle it myself. I'm sure Oboe wouldn't be against the idea however. He is a few decades younger than I am and he is still a bit wide-eyed and willing to get help from anyone that can flex a muscle. I suppose you would call me more old-fashioned in that respect." Rubbing his hands together and shaking them a bit, he sighed, looking down at them open-palmed, holding them in front of himself. "I just wish there was more these hands could do. I've trained for so long and the moment I'm assigned to become this Guru's guardian people far more powerful than me start showing up in droves. I really wish Oboe hadn't of gone about activating these dragon balls so soon." Looking up he gave a bit of an awkward smile. "Sorry, I went off into my own head a bit and talking out loud there."
He could only give a soft nod to her response but didn't know what more to add to what he had said to her before. "I see. I'm afraid I don't know how exactly to help in that case.", watching closely at her display of magic, simply nodding once more and looking back up to her face. "Magic has become a fairly common thing here on Namek it would seem. The dragon caste are seemingly born with it, but others have degrees of magic sometimes, like creating clothes or objects with their energy much like one might create a ball of energy to toss in a fight. Not really my forte or interest either way." His eyes narrowed once more at her hand, finding it strange the stark difference between the two energies. "Well, Oboe is the equivalent of our spiritual leader. There are other dragon caste here of course that are his elder but I don't know them well enough to introduce you. I am warrior caste and have spent my entire life only with other warrior caste as I was training, so even my knowledge is a bit low. I wish I had better answers, but it sounds like your questions might be better answered by those of your own race, unless this is something unusual even to them. I truly wish I had better answers for you."

A few decades younger? Aisise couldn't help but do a double take at that statement. She had honestly thought that the guru would have been older. However, it was difficult to tell how old namekian were, especially when they didn't physically age up as much as Konatsians did. However, she quickly dismissed the statement. He was still a great guru despite his age, especially when he had to constantly deal with these sort of situations and many to come in the near years. A twinge of pity came up for that namekian as he let out some of the doubts he felt about his position. "You know, when I was assigned to be Prince Riis' bodyguard I was scared as well." She began, thinking towards the day she learned of the news. While she and her siblings were mostly elated, Aisise recalled that terror she felt underneath the happiness. "Why would they pick me? I'm just a girl from one of Konats billions families. I was so scared of failing my position. But before I could do anything they sent me here to find the prince, and of course we know what had happened to him." Aisise chuckled somberly before shaking her head. "I swore an oath, to protect the royal family, especially Prince Riis with my life. But I promised myself that I would protect any innocent that got in the middle of the crossfire. You're not the only one Steno who wish that you could do more. I wanted to join in the hunt, not just because I care for the family. But also prove that I am worthy of the title. That's also why I want to bring him home."
Aisise hadn't expected Steno to really be able to help her with her predicament, but it was always worth a shot. However, perhaps it would be better if she took his advice and spoke to some of the dragon clan namekians here. They would have much more information on the situation than he did. However, she felt a bit more comfortable asking him about it. Perhaps it was how often they had met here on Namek, or maybe it was due to the conversation hat she just had with him. "Do you happen to know any dragon clans at least? Could you at least point me in a direction?" She asked, with a bit of hope on her face. This was a topic that she wasn't going to give up that easily. It didn't matter how long it would take her, even if it took her years before she found the answer. She just wanted to know who this voice was, and why were they so important to her life?
