Chime led Mollusc through the hallways of the Lookout, back outside to the expanse of white tiled floor. He kept chattering to the taller Namekian as he went, "You couldn't sense energy? Then maybe there's hope for me after all. Sensing energy was basically the first technique I ever learned." The idea of hiding his own power intrigued him. He'd met people who could do that. Or at least, he assumed that's what they were doing, he'd never actually asked, but he'd encountered people that had appeared far less powerful than he knew they should be. The thought of being able to surprise someone with his power was an intriguing one.
Soon, they were outside again. Chime stood opposite Mollusc and set his fists on his hips, a determined look on his face, "Alright! What do I have to do? You said something about 'concentrating ki', right? How'd you manage that, did you just meditate a bunch?" He tilted his head to the side. For some reason, he couldn't imagine Mollusc meditating much. It seemed like he'd be the kind of guy to get bored after a while. And besides, you can't exactly sit down and meditate in the middle of a battle. There must have been some other method to unlocking this new level of power.

"Yes, I had to learn to do it to control my power. Learning to sense Ki allowed me to open up and understand the world better. Before I was quite blind in that sense." Mollusc mused. The ability to sense the strength of his foes had been useful but if only he had followed those warning again Kayen. Then he could teach Chime the power and make him strong enough to defend the Earth. Mollusc felt a bit stupid for dying now knowing he couldn't ever pass down his secrets. They would eventually get back outside as Chime asked how he would do it. Mollusc was unsure how to explain it.
Mollusc took in a deep breath then spoke. "First I started by focusing all my ki inward instead of outward. When I transform personally I let the Ki out of my body in order to expand my size and strength. If we bring that same strength inward then we can take the power we already have but compress it down to such a smaller size. I took that principle after watching Vocado who was a super saiyan. I asked him to fight me before I faced the Queen. From what I understood about Super Saiyan it was a mass expansion of Ki outside and Inside the user's body. Yet it leads to a loss of Stamina. So I decided to do only the later and see how effective it was. The Super Namekian will not be as strong enough to face a Super Saiyan on equal footing but it strong enough." He had done quite well against Kayen if he had trained to know of his Stamina issues who knows?

"Inward..."
Chime brought his fist to his bottom lip as he pondered over what Mollusc said. It sounded simple enough, in theory, but then again, so did a lot of things. He already knew how to focus his energy into a single point, like he'd said before, but that wasn't quite the same thing. The tip of his finger was a pretty small point to channel his ki into, true, but it was still outside his body. Energy, in his experience, wanted to move, that was what made it energy and not...rocks. Holding it still in one place for very long was difficult. And besides, what did Mollusc mean by 'inward' anyway? Did he mean literally inside your body? Or something more metaphorical, like in your soul?
Chime suddenly shook his head. He was overthinking this. Best to just give it a try and see what happens.
"Okay!" He shouted, "I'm gonna give it a shot! If you see me doing anything wrong then just tell me." He widened his stance into something more solid and held his fists at either side of him. A moment of concentration, and fwoosh, a golden aura burst out around him. It was more orange-y than, say, a Super Saiyan's aura, and the shape much less fiery. There would be no mistaking the two. This was a well-practiced skill for Chime at this point, but now came the hard part.
He focused his mind, energy, the entirety of his being inward. Very slowly, the gold aura began to recede, closer and closer to Chime's body. The smaller it became, the darker in hue it got, and soon its shape became erratic. Spikes of energy jutted out from Chime's form and then vanished again, like tiny solar flares. In short: nothing about this looked stable. Still, Chime pressed on, teeth grit and sweat beading on his brow, until...
A bright bang and a puff of smoke erupted from the little Namekian's body. When it cleared, Mollusc could see him laying on his back, looking up at the sky. A little scuffed up, but more tired from the exercise than anything. He was already.
"Hhhgh...well that didn't work. Molluuusc," Chime whined from his spot on the ground, "Can't you just show me how you do it?"

Mollusc looked at Chime as he tried to do what he said. He was unsure if he explained it well. He was not a teacher after all. Plus he was dead now, the feeling he had powering up to that form were long gone. Still, Mollusc watched carefully waiting to see if Chime was able to do it. He had a lot of faith in the guardian. He knew if he put his mind to it he could do it. He saw his aura seemed to grow erratic. It was hard for him he could see. He was trying to focus all the power inward but he didn't seem ready. The power seemed to be too much. Mollusc sighed calmly. "I didn't expect you to get it on the first try it took me many weeks to reach the power I desired," Mollusc explained.
When Chime asked if he could show him off the do it Mollusc grunted. "I can try but I am a ghost now. I am no longer able to do the same things I could do before." Mollusc sat down looking at Chime and began to focus his Ki inward. His flared up before pulling itself back into his body. He felt calm as his ki was pulled in deep. Maybe he could still reach the Super Namekian form. He remembered how he focused his ki before when he faced Kayen and once it was inward let it flare to life inside his form. Mollusc began to glow his power rising but now in the right away. Mollusc felt like he was about to explode. Mollusc felt his body shake before he stopped before anything else could happen. "That didn't feel right." Mollusc mused. "I was supposed to get stronger not explode." Mollusc looked at Chime. "Something with us Ghosts?" He asked if Chime knew what could be the cause of that.

Chime sat up and rubbed his forehead with a groan. He settled into a cross-legged pose at Mollusc sat down beside him. "Weeks?" He repeated, somewhat incredulous, but then he sighed, "...I should've expected that. It took me that long to figure out some of my spells, after all, so I guess this is the same thing."
He watched intently as Mollusc began to focus himself. Maybe there was something different about his methods that Chime could pick up on. But as the moments ticked on, he didn't seem to be having any better luck than Chime did. He could feel the energy building and bubbling dangerously inside Mollusc, and leaned back when it seemed he was about to burst...but then he stopped, and the energy settled. Chime sighed again. So much for that. At Mollusc's question, he tapped his chin thoughtfully.
"Hm...I'm not an expert on ghosts. I've only met a couple, and fought beside one. She was pretty strong..." He trailed off as his thoughts flooded with regret, as they always did when he thought of Banshee. But he quickly shook his head to clear it and continued, "But, uh. I've never researched them or anything. My guess would be...because you don't have a real body?" He reached out to tap Mollusc on his ectoplasmic arm. Not just ghastly mist, but clearly not a solid, real living person, "Which tells us something about the Super Namekian, in a roundabout way. It relies on the interplay between your physical body and your energy. And if you don't have a body, then...?" It was just hypothetical, of course, but it was the best theory Chime had so far, "So maybe you're not just containing your ki inside your body, but...infusing your body with your ki? I guess those two don't sound that different, but maybe thinking about it like that will help."
He hopped to his feet with renewed determination, "I'll keep practicing!"

"Maybe a month can't remember." Mollusc rubbed his head. Chime then explained what he knew about ghosts. At least that what he thought but he seemed to trail off. Mollusc was worried now. Did something happen to this other ghost? He didn't want to ask cause while he was oblivious about most thing he had some idea that Chime was not the happiest thinking about it. Still, Chime had some good observation he didn't really have a real body. He was a floating mass of ectoplasm and he guessed his soul. That may of related to his forms struggles. How Chime explained it made a lot of sense. Infusing his actual body with Ki rather than pulling it all inward would explain a lot. He was unsure if that was what he had maybe done on accident but he was sure that could work for Chime. He was dragon caste he may have processed the power in a different way. Mollusc bowed his head. "You just mentioned but this other ghost? What was she like? If you know another ghost I need to know what i'm going to have to deal with." Mollusc tried to be as calm as possible but he was a bit excited and perhaps a bit fearful to figure out what he was now. To know there was someone else out there like him was a good sign.

Mollusc asked about the ghost he knew, and Chime...paused. He'd rather not recount the story, but poor Mollusc was literally a dead man walking. He deserved any help he could get in his confusing new situation, regardless of Chime's discomfort. So, with a sigh, he began to explain.
"Okay, first off, I don't think she's around to go ask her for advice. She should've gotten revived with the dragon balls, but...I don't know what happened to her after that. I never saw her again," Chime frowned and shook his head before he could get lost in his thoughts again, "I'm getting ahead of myself. Her name was Banshee, she was a Pride Trooper. Though...her name probably wasn't really Banshee, now that I think of it, but I never got to learn another one. One of the Stargoons came to take my dragon ball one day, and she just...showed up, out of nowhere, like a real superhero," He gazed out at the sky above the Lookout, imagining Banshee swooping in just like she had that day, months ago. Chime had to shake himself from his memories again and awkwardly cleared his throat, turning back to Mollusc.
"...Anyway, uh. None of that really helps you, sorry. What's useful," He tapped his chin, "My healing worked on her, the same as anyone else, so that's something. Oh! And she punched the Stargoon so hard she exploded, so, um. Maybe try not to do that? Please? I-I mean!" He waved his hands frantically as he tried to verbally backpeddle, "I don't know if it can happen by accident, don't worry about that! She seemed to know what she was doing, but uh...still don't? If you're here, it must be for a reason, not just to blow up." While Chime did believe that, the real reason for his request was the simple fact he didn't want to see friends and allies turn to dust in front of him anymore.

Mollusc nodded as Chime explained she was not really around anymore. She had been revived. "I see well maybe I can find her as a human and ask for advice." It was hope but it was a bit disappointing to know she had returned to life. He bet it would be harder to explain now that she was alive. She had been apart of the pride troopers which made Mollusc a bit more confident. He knew of the Pride Troopers he was sure they were more than willing to help him with his quest. He had brought back that plant person from before and that had been well appreciated. So Mollusc was confident that they could tell him where to find her.
Mollusc waved his hand when Chime tried to apologize for not helping. "You are helping a lot Chime don't worry about it." Mollusc smiled. He did tell him a couple of other things. How she was able to be healed just the same as everyone else. She also was able to explode. Mollusc now knew what had been about to do. He was glad he didn't explode and kill himself along with Chime on accident. Still, it was something worth looking into if there was no other choice. Mollusc didn't want to think of that day he doubts that would end well. If that girl had blown up what had happened. He did say they had revived her but he was just a soul? If he used his soul as a weapon in his mind that was the end of the road. "I won't blow up don't worry." Mollusc smiled at Chime.

"I--" Mollusc's positivity made Chime falter. Truthfully, he didn't know what had become of Banshee. She would've been included in the revival wish, it had been pretty broad, but what happened if you revived a ghost? They hadn't said to bring Banshee back as a human, they hadn't specified her at all. So was she walking around, flesh and blood, quietly enjoying her life somewhere? Or was she still haunting the world as a ghost? Or...? He wasn't sure, but he didn't share Mollusc's optimism. Still, he didn't want to dampen the mood, so he put on a smile and nodded after his brief hesitation, "--Yeah! She'd be hard to miss, the Pride Trooper outfit is pretty distinct, and she's got long dark hair. If you ever see her...tell her the little green kid from the Lookout says 'thanks.'" His smile turned a little sad, but didn't fade.
Chime set his hands on his hips and looked up into the clear blue sky, thoughtful, "Well...I guess the only thing left to do now is practice. You're free to stay if you want, but I won't blame you if you don't feel like watching me meditate and experiment with my ki-control a bunch." He laughed. It sure sounded like a boring show to him, "...And thanks. Sorry I kind of freaked out on you earlier. But you've been a big help, even if it's not been with your fists," Chime reached out to give his Namekian brother a friendly smack on his semi-corporeal arm, "You get funny ideas about things sometimes, but you're a good friend."

Mollusc frowned as Chime seemed to be sad. Was it something he had said. Mollusc didn't ask as Chime explained what she looked like. Mollusc smiled, "Don't worry I'll tell her if I see her don't you worry." Mollusc was more than willing to do at least that for Chime. It was not as if it'd be that hard to do. Though he wondered why he'd not go himself. Guess he did have a lot of work to do being the guardian of this entire planet. He could not just go flying around Mollusc could. Mollusc really had no duties that had to be attended too. Mollusc nodded as Chime made a not that he may not be keen to watch him meditate. That he had to agree with. Mollusc shook his head as he tried to thank him. "Don't thank me. I am not really that helpful." Mollusc looked down as Chime hand hit his arm. Mollusc keeps his smile as he looked down at Chime. "I realy appreciate that Chime but your the one who is a good friend. I'm not a great person like you. I've made so many mistakes but you still see the good in me. I..." Mollusc paused in thought unsure what to say. "Thanks." Mollusc bowed his head. That was the only words that came to mind.
