“Did Scallio actually get on board?” Kayen asked angling herself around the side of her captains chair at the center of the command room of The Stormbreaker, for the first time in along while her crew were being put to real work, no longer allowed to just train and drink around on Vegeta now it was back to business. Granted that business still meant a fair bit of drinking. It was wondeful to be back at the helm of her ship and even better that there was no feeling of disconnect between herself and the crew. “I believe so yes, his scouter ID is logged onto the Stormbreaker’s systems so unless he left it behind after departing before takeoff he should be around. He is probably still getting himself settled” Barb said her own chair positioned beind and to the left of Kayen’s, while it had taken a bit of doing Kayen was pleased that Barb had more or less gotten over her hesitations over working with her crew. The fact she NEEDED to interact with him in order to get her hands on the Stormbreaker’s systems sort of made it inevitable. “I can give him a ca-” Barb began but already Kayen had tapped her scouter “OI! Scallio, head on up to the command center so we can talk. I wanna let you know what’s up” Kayen hadn’t really given Scallio much information other than ‘Get to the starport and aboard my ship in the next hour if you want to hang out and fuck shit up’ “Well I guess that solves that, do you want me to send a message along to the others?” “Yeah sure, actually wait I’ll message Ramen” Kayen said tapping her scouter once more and bringing up Ramen’s scouter ID. “Hey, I’m heading off of Vegeta for a bit. Got some stuff to handle. Hope whatever you’re up to is good. Call me if you need anything” The message was short and simple, perhaps if she weren’t in a room filled with her crew she might have made it a bit less stiff, Kayen WAS curious what Ramen was up to but trusted that if things went sideways she would call. Meanwhile Barb was sending messages along to some of the other members of the of the Kingdom “Hello Miss Nashua, this is Barb, Kayen wanted me to let you know she will be off world attending to business but that it should not affect your own off world work. If you wish you can meet up with us on the Raiti-Zacro Asteroid, return to Vegeta, or maintain your current work” It would be immediately clear to even Nashua that what Barb had said was most certainly NOT a direct translation of Kayen’s words. “Hello Auber, this is Barb, Queen Kayen wanted me to inform you that shis is heading to the Raiti-Zacro Astroid for Kingdom buisness. The Queen wants you to either return to Vegeta on the off chance of an attack, or join her on Raiti toaid her in… expediting her work there.”

PL: 4,500 Kabe grumbled, resting his head back against a cold metal strut in the hall leading into the command center. He didn't like the cold feeling of the metal pressed against his skin, and he didn't like the dull whirring sounds he could here coming from inside the walls. He barely understood why he had been dragged along, and he didn't really know where they were going. He knew this was a ship-thing like the one that he had taken to get back to Vegeta. He knew that his mom - it was weird calling Kayen mom but also she did exactly what everyone said a mom did so she must be his mom - liked it, and called it Stormbreaker. What a silly name. You can't break a storm, it's like a big explode-y thing in the sky. Kabe giggled a little at the confusing idea as he bit his thumb from hunger, and moved up to go and find Kayen for some more food. "Mom.!" Kabe nagged, clutching at his stomach as he walked through the annoying slide-y metal door after a few seconds of it not doing anything even though he growled at it to move out of the way. "Kabe hungry. where we going?" His speaking had gotten a little better since he'd moved into the palace, what with all the service staff making him call things by name before they'd give them to him, but he still couldn't really get a handle at it.

Scallio's trip to Earth while certainly eventful hadn't exactly been what he was hoping it to be. Despite the numerous encounters he'd had on the planet and even the tournament, he'd partaken in. He'd found that his strength hadn't grown much since his departure from Vegeta. It had been upsetting, to say the least. Had he finally hit the limit of his strength? He didn't want to believe it but his mind kept coming back to the conclusion. And each time that it did he found himself getting more and more frustrated. Not only at the situation but at himself. Surely he had more power lying dormant within himself somewhere?
He just needed to figure out how to reach it.
The Saiyan's search for a way to do so was the reason why he'd jumped so quickly into action upon getting the transmission from Kayen. Orders to return to Vegeta post-haste as she had a matter that she'd like his assistance in dealing with. The Saiyan Queen hadn't given many details on what the matter was. And Scallio hadn't bothered to ask either. He departed from Earth without so much as a word to his men. Not even letting Narissa or Date in on his plans to leave the planet. As far as Scallio was concerned this was a job for him to handle alone.
Shortly after his arrival on planet Scallio had been instructed to make his way to Kayen's personal ship. The Stormbreaker. It was an impressive vehicle. One that easily put his rustbucket of a spaceship The Renegade to shame. That was to be expected though. Kayen was not only the Queen of an entire race but also an infamous pirate. Even with that in mind Scallio couldn't help but be a little jealous as he walked the halls of the Stormbreaker.
This was his first time on the ship and he didn't exactly know his way around. Everyone on the crew seemed so busy getting things ready for take off. That Scallio didn't bother to ask any of them for directions. Not even after Kayen's voice came through unexpectedly on his scouter. "I'll be right there....once I manage to find it." he said with a groan. It actually hadn't taken him to long to find the command center. A few minutes of wandering around and Scallio had managed to get a rather solid grasp of the ship's layout. One of the many benefits of having spent most of his life aboard a spaceship he imagined.
Scallio stepped into the command center, arms folded against his chest and a slight frown on his face. "Why'd you bring the kid along?" he inquired. Scallio had fought alongside Kabe against Kayen months ago. But that didn't mean the idea of having a child tag along on what he'd been assuming was a dangerous mission settled well with him. "And did I hear him right? Did he call you mom?" now that was certainly strange. OOC★ dandy ♫ |

The scouter buzzed on the table, across from where Ramen was laying on her bed on Namek. She had been on the planet for was probably weeks, but felt more like months. And through it all, she couldn't help but be horribly bored. This planet had been the source of some of the most horrifying and exciting moments of her life, but it was also the worst. It was like the so-called 'Sleepy East.' It was the kind of place you might visit for business, but usually, you drove through it. Maybe in this case, fly past it. At first, she didn't hear the scouter. She was getting her entertainment the only way she really knew how on this dreary rock: by playing her music so loud, the Namekians in the village across the water were probably sitting there shaking their staves at her like irritated old men. But she didn't care that much: she was here to protect the Dragon Balls from being spirited off by some maniac or another, so they could put up with a bit of loud music. Besides, it was good music. It was all the rage when she was growing up in South City: one of Earth's finest four-man groups: The Baostreet Boys. It was only when a lull came in the song that she finally forced herself up from her bed to check in with the message. She yawned, turning down her music about half-way -- which meant it was still more than loud enough to be picked up in her response over the scouter. "--Hey, Kayen," she greeted. "Where are you going, exactly..? Don't tell me you're running off to Arcose. That never goes well... at least it didn't for me." It probably wasn't anything that big, but she found herself obligated to ask. "--If you need help, just let me know. Don't get hurt, okay?"

Kayen rolled her eyes as Ramen took her time to pick up the call but finally she did and thankfully while Ramen seemed to understand that Kayen’s trip off world definetly had implications of potentially dangerous action she had no interest in actually trying to tell her NOT to do so, at least it seemed as long as it wasn’t Arcose, and even then it was barely an effort to tell her not to attack arcose. “No, not Arcose, at least not yet. Raiti, It’s been long enough if I leave them be any longer they’ll start really getting uppity and forget who actually runs the show” Kayen said with a grin that Ramen could not see. An attack on Arcose though wasn’t necessarily the worst idea, but perhaps better when Ramen was not preoccupied, taking the Arcosian homeworld seemed like a fun outing for the two of them and eventually Kayen DID want to start putting some pressure on the Fleet. “Will do, I’m not expecting any problems and it’s not exactly like there are many who really COULD pose an issue.” The majority of those who COULD challenge her were either on her side or not likely to step to her effort to bring Raiti back under her full control again. Vocado would be one of the few possible hindrances but he fell into the last camp… probably. The door to the command center swooshed open and in strode Kabe shouting for her and STILL calling her mom despite her efforts to get him to stop. How the boy had even come to that conclusion was beyond her but he was frustratingly dead set on it. “I told you before kid, were going to Raiti. I’ve got to show them who’s boss” Kayen said absently swatting at the scouter in an effort to mute it but failing to do so. “Barb have one of the guys bring the kid something to eat” Kayen said giving Barb a distinct ‘before he starts gnawing on the computers’ look that got Barb working on it even faster. And of course Scallio arrived just in time to hear the kid call her mom “If I left him back at the palace we’d either come back to the planet completely devoid of food or he’d chew through the walls. Or both. And it’s complicated don't worry about it” Kayen said waving off the question and trying to move on as quickly as possible. “We’ll be arriving on Raiti soon, just a few more hours. I dont think we’ll encounter any problems at least nothing that I’d need to actually exert my power on. I’m gonna need a hand rooting out the likely various idiots who have tried to fill the void made when I took off to kick Vocado’s ass”

PL: 4,500 As expected it took only a few moments before the queen barked orders and had the Barb person head off to get somebody to bring him food. With a smug look as he cradled his grumbling stomach, Kabe looked at the all the complicated beeping machinery throughout the room and listened to the voice of the person. They sounded familiar but he couldn't really get who it was without seeing their face. He wasn't very good with the 'scouter' things yet. When Scallio asked why Kabe was brought along, and if it was right that he had called kayen 'mom', Kabe frowned and arced up in a temperamental voice that only a child could deliver, despite Kayen chiming in with an answer at the same time. "Kabe here because strong!" He flexed his little muscle and grinned, beaming with pride. Then he looked a little confused. "Kabe call mom mom because she is mom." It was... obvious right? Why else would he call her his mom. Kabe thought back to what his mom had answered his question with. She was right, he had been told they were going to some place called 'raiti', or something like that. A place with lots of fighting and tough people, and food and shiny things. Kabe was confused though. 'Show them who's boss?' A boss was a person in charge. "Why momma show the 'rye-tee zack-row' people who boss? Momma Kayen strongest! Toughest! must be boss!" Kabe flexed hard, growling lowly to show what he meant, mimicking his tough parent as best he could with an eye shut to show her lack of one.

THREAD POWERLEVEL: 45,000
Auber's time on Namek, unlike Ramen's, was pretty eventful, from talking with Vocado, to aiding the Guru in battling that half-wit Kraktus, to his encounter with a Saiyan Mercenary known as Erina Blade, not to mention his search for Fleet activities in this planet.
Overall, he turned up with minimal results, most Fleet men here were either scouting or having a drink, in which case, Namek was a poor choice on their part but whatever, there doesn't seem to be any ulterior motive here, so Auber has been left resigned to his own boredom.
Until a scouter call reached his device "Hey there, Barb, thanks for letting me know, I'll be on Raiti soon." He replied, leaving his scouter open just in case the conversation didn't end there, now then, Vegeta is most likely safe from an attack considering the last time someone tried, they died a horrible death.
Which means, Raiti is Auber's destination, he had no idea how much scum and villainy he'll be mingling with but he's confident he can keep scumbags in their place if they tried anything, and while he was far from the strongest member of the Kingdom, he had enough power to make people think twice.

"Complected, got it." it wasn't exactly the answer he'd been looking for but he wasn't going to press. The thought of taking a child along on a conquest did make him uneasy. At the end of the day though it was Kayen's decision and he'd respect it. It did mean that he'd have to work a bit harder. Just to make sure that nothing happened to the kid. Speaking of Kabe, the little tike seemed keen on displaying his muscles. The Saiyan child flexed as he replied to Scallio's earlier question himself. Scallio had to choke back a laugh. Instead, he chuckled as he moved over to Kabe and patted the boy on the head. "Yeah kiddo you're real tough. I'm terrified." he teased, his attention returning to Kayen shortly after.
She seemed to be engaged in conversation with others on her scouter. "If I had known you'd want this much back up. I'd have brought Narissa and the others with me." perhaps departing on his own hadn't been such a good idea. They were going to be attempting to reclaim Rati of all places. It was a hub for all types of criminal activity. Even with Kayen sure they wouldn't run into trouble. One could never be too certain. "No, we'll be fine." he reassured himself. Besides if he called everyone to Rati there'd be no one there to help Date in Scallio's absence. And that may give the Earth-born Saiyan the wrong impression.
"If you don't mind me asking why pick Rati? I know the place is important to you. But it's an odd choice for the Kingdom's first conquest in ages." the Saiyan folded his arms against his chest. His tail wrapping itself around his waist. "Wouldn't Arcose or Namek make for better targets?" there was brief pause before Scallio spoke again. "Conquering either of those would make a bold statement." and one that couldn't so easily be ignored. Perhaps such an action was too big to begin with though. Garnered far too much attention that Kayen and the Kingdom weren't ready for. OOC★ dandy ♫ |

Ramen crossed her room and flopped back onto the bed. She just lay there for a moment, ready to drift asleep in the boredom of the day, before she rolled onto her back and let out a lazy yawn. She pressed the scouter back to her ear at that, still listening along to Kayen -- and whatever was going on in the background there. It sounded like there was a lot of commotion, but for all she knew, half the people she heard were just on other calls.
"Raiti? Isn't that the planet you were on like, before we met?" she gave her head a little shake, though the gesture would go unseen to Kayen. "You'd better not be planning to go off doing pirate stuff again. I don't think we can really handle being at war with every planet in the known galaxy at once..." she yawned again, bringing a pause to her commentary. "--And if I come back to find you've named Barb as the new Queen, I'm going to track you down, blow your spaceship up, and leave you marooned on Namek."
The threat didn't really have any teeth to it, and she didn't really expect Kayen was going to throw away her crown for a life of adventure. Although it did sound a little appealing to her personally: the more time she spent around the Kingdom, the more it became apparent that ruling really must have sucked. It seemed like a lot of work without a whole lot of reward. Then, she groaned as it dawned on her: maybe Raiti was her reward.
"Make sure you don't conquer anything else without holding meeting first, okay?" she added. "As Commander I need to make sure you follow protocol. And the protocol here is to only attack people that deserve to be attacked. But I guess Raiti is kind of full of terrible people, so... maybe reminding them that they have to follow laws will be a good thing."
"Raiti sounds like the kind of place where people think it's okay to drive in bus lanes."

Kayen suppressed a groan as things began to descent into chaos, Kabe trying to make himself sound far more powerful and tougher than he was to Scallio who’s sarcasm she could only hope would go over the kid’s head, Kabe was thankfully often quite bad at discerning alternative meanings to what people said and would likely take Scallio’s ‘complement’ at face value, really the only issue there would be that the kid’s ego would get a boost from the fact a bigger and older Saiyan said they were terrified of him, but at least they would likely avoid having Kabe try to bite Scallio. “Exactly kid, some people are stupid though and need to be shown” Kayen said patting Kabe on the head. “It’s less that I want backup, I could handle this on my own, I just want the right people on notice in case someone tries anything sneaky. You keeping Narissa behind is probably for the best, keeps another person with a brain around to keep their eyes open. The only way the Fleet could pose an actual risk is if they pulled off a sneak attack and I guarantee they would see me being off-world as a golden opportunity. What they don’t realize is even if they did it, this ship can push itself hard enough to get me back to Vegeta like nothing” as long as she had a bit of a heads up at least, it would really more likely be VERY close, but definetly possible. Kayen was surprised when Ramen actually responded to what she was saying, and she nearly pitched the scouter at the wall in annoyance over it not actually muting her side of things “I’m always doing pirate stuff, I’m a pirate, by definition everything I do is pirate stuff.” Kayen said giving perhaps the least helpful response possible “but no, I don’t have any current plans to resume my old activities, or go to war with every planet. And if I were ever going to dump the crown on anyone it would be you.”“And I’m not conquering anything…. Raiti is ALREADY mine, I’ve ruled it for years, this is just a reminder so that the other factions present there don’t start to forget AND so that nobody else tries to screw with what’s mine” Kayen said and while her comments were directed at Ramen it held true in part as a response for Scallio though she would turn her attention more directly on him. Perhaps notable by lack of response Kayen made no efforts to agree that she needed to follow protocol, she had no interest in arguing what she was allowed to do right now. “Namek isn’t worth the trouble. The only thing they have that I’d want are the Dragon Balls and I doubt whoever is Guru woulden’t go down fighting against an occupation. Without those Namek only has warriors to offer. I’ll deal with Arcose later, maybe once the Fleet does something stupid.” Namek really would be just far too much of a hassle to conquor, its Dragon Balls would mean that any attempt made on it would likely draw in all the other greater powers in the universe to prevent it’s occupation. Arcose was however a decent choice, perhaps the next one after Raiti.
