The sounds of the streets below filled with life, the dim lights of his office and the calm atmosphere created a perfect scene of how Seele felt. His blue eyes staring into the light filled streets below while standing on his balcony. He had returned recently to Raiti after a long vacation to Namek. He didn't normally take vacations but perhaps age was catching up to the Katze. Perhaps... he was beginning to finally grow old. A silent puff from his cigarette as he contemplated such a thought. He wondered if he had made the right choice in going to namek and leaving Kultor to deal with all of this... Kultor was a reliable fellow to be certain, but it didn't stop the Katze from wondering if he relied to heavily upon his friends help.
Slowly turning away from the balcony, Seele made his way back into his office where he let his hand gently run along the wood desk. He many pages of information all spread out across the desk in a scrambled fashion. He had been working tirelessly to create bonds, reading up on others, and stealing information where he could. He had so much to do... and so little time. It was a funny thing to the Katze, that he could live for so damn long, yet he felt like time was constantly running out. He was still a young man mostly, not that old in truth. He had another century in him if he didn't die from some horrible incident or get murdered. Yet... he couldn't help but think on how long that meant he would have to wait to see his Liebe... his beloved. He had been dwelling on her a lot lately after his visit to Namek, that dead girl had brought old wounds to the surface.
With a long drawn out sigh, the Katze would turn away from his desk, gently pushing a small indentation on the wall. The sounds of machinery working could be heard as a small section slowly turned on the spot. Slowly the wall flipped around, and when it did, it revealed an android built into the wall. A perfect copy of his darling, a model so that he could never forget her and a perfect symbol of his grief. Seele usually kept it hidden away, not able to look at it at all. He was ashamed he could not have saved her, that he was being eaten away inside by that grief. Yet here he was staring at a model that was the perfect copy of her. How pitiful he must look, a crime lord with the world in his hands, a man rich enough that he could live in peace for another thousand years and never want a day in his life... yet all he felt was a deep sense of longing... an emptiness that could not be filled by such a petty thing.
Slowly his hand touched the androids cheek, running along its chin, a pained look in the Katze's eye as his eyes searched its empty features. A husk, a shell of that which he had held so dear... but lost because he had made a stupid choice. Slowly as he thought on his self loathing, of how he had failed so measurably in his actions, his eyes were steeled. He had failed her because he couldn't make the hard choices, he had not had the strength to keep going... and that had cost her the life he held so dear. Those that had been responsible had been punished, tortured in excruciating ways. Yet... it didn't bring her back. No... he would live with his weakness as punishment... While he could not prevent his wife's death, he felt there was a reason he was still alive, a purpose for all of this. But it eluded him to this day on what it was, something deep down besides his weakness kept him alive.
A few more moments of gazing at the fake Liebe would be all there was in the room, before Seele's hand fell down to the button once more. The hiss of machinery before slowly it would slide back into place, leaving Seele staring at the wall with steeled blue eyes. A fierceness in them that told of all the self hatred the Katze had to himself, and this damned able world of Crime. Of the greed that plagued his homeworld, of the utter and complete disregard for life. Yet Seele felt the contradiction there, that he took life to progress his own goals and thought ill of others. He was sick as well, sick in mindset and his tired frame fell down into his chair as he placed his hand up to rest his head. His fingers rubbing his forehead like someone with a headache. Perhaps... Perhaps if he had not gone to Namek then he would not hate himself as much right now...
It was then that the door opened up wide to reveal a man dressed in black. He was a guard, one that usually stood watch in the lobby below. He was clearly here on business, carrying himself forward into the Office before standing several feet from Seele's desk. The Katze gesturing for him to speak, to which the man nodded before doing so.
"Sir... You have Guests coming, some of our people say that it might be Kayen sir."
Seele's eyes would narrow before he let out yet another sigh and nod in a tired fashion.
"If she arrives... show her in immediately. Just give me a ring before hand."
Seele said before slowly leaning back in his chair. How he wished that woman had stayed on Vegeta, to stay out of the criminal underworld, but that clearly was not going to happen. She wouldn't disappear so easily, and he doubted even killing her would do much good. Her death would only ripple through the underworld like a shockwave, and create endless war between the mobs. Despite his... dislike for one person running the show, he knew she was a needed evil right now. A necessary pillar in this fragile economy of territory and smuggling. They couldn't work in the open because she would come down on their heads like a hammer... yet if they could it would only bring further turmoil to them. But... it wasn't like they didn't wage war still. It was just on a much smaller scale than brawling in the streets with guns and sending young thugs to their deaths like fodder.
Slowly Seele would place a cigarette in his mouth, the other one having burned out without him even noticing. Slowly he let the other fall into the trash while he lit the new one. Perhaps that was what he needed to do, to replace himself at the top and allow fresh blood to take over. His eyes narrowed at that thought, and was immediately scrubbed away. No... no one else could make the hard choices like he could. He just needed to remain strong. As the elevator closed and the guard left, Seele was once more alone in his office... There he sat silently to await her arrival.
