People were spooked, of course. The loud sounds, the flashing lights. Even without knowledge of the fact that those were destructive shots, it was understandable why. Suri proceeded to bow repeatedly in several directions, at the shopkeeper, and the pedestrians that stopped. "Sorry, sorry! I'm so sorry!!"
Yanwang thankfully didn't seem fearful at all, probably because...he saw this kind of thing a lot. He calmly suggested that they stop here...he seemed like more of an adult than Suri here. "Y-Yeah..." So, she guessed it was a draw. She didn't say that out loud as to not sound childishly competitive. Suri was a bit embarrassed that she lost control of herself just to one-up Yanwang. Without saying anything else, she sat back down and silently sipped on her milkshake.
Suri raised her head and looked to Yanwang. "You, uhh... You're surprisingly calm about this. I guess you see stuff like that a lot. Do you...participate in martial arts competitions regularly?" Suri was curious if Yanwang was into martial arts just as much as Suri was back when she was young. Not only that, she also wanted an explaination as to why he wasn't too impressed after seeing Suri's...accidental display of her attack, which, like all of her techniques, were designed specifically to impress onlookers with the pure spectacle.
Or perhaps Yanwang, despite his age, had been through more than Suri imagined.

"Yah you should be fine." He'd looked over. He was sure the people would ignore it. He'd bet people had seen a lot more crazy stuff happen on Earth before. They didn't need to go crazy over it. Guess they had decided to cool it down and just have a good time. When Suri asked about him being so calm about this he shook his head. "I don't think I was calm but I think it just I like to have control. I had times where I felt I was not in control of myself. That I felt powerless in my life. I felt like I could not do anything and If I had just been stronger I could change something." Yanwang clenched his fist under the table so he didn't go screaming in anger. He didn't like to think that he could still be weak or he had once been powerless in the past. As for the martial arts tournaments Yanwang paused. "I been in a couple but I think I mostly just train on my own. I'd not call myself a Martial Artist anyway i'm closer to a Magician if anything." Yanwang smiled lightly. "What about you. What do you usually?"

Suri sighed in relief. Maybe it really wasn't that big of a deal, there were plenty of things in the world scarier than a ki blast misfire.
Yanwang was in control of himself. He had gained that control because of the times he didn't have it. When Suri heard him talk about that, she thought of the times she had lost control of herself. Not of insignificant instances like the one a few seconds ago, but more consequential ones. Emotional outbursts over something that was maybe not as significant as she had initially thought.
Maybe a recent example could be the time she had lost control in her fight with Gita...no, no, NO! Gita was the one that attacked the man back then, and he continued to attack Suri for trying to stop his actions. She shouldn't feel any sympathy for the now-evil Namekian! ...Despite thinking that, she kept feeling guilty for going too far, both in what she said to him, and how relentles her attacks were. This was the fourth time she had to reassure herself...
Suri noticed that she had been spacing out for a bit with a dark expression on her face. After shaking her head to shake herself out of her thoughts, Suri spoke her response. "I wish I had control like that...like you. I'm kinda envious, I...I guess you have the mental strength to keep yourself in check as well as the physical strength to make a difference...?" Well, Suri could at least tell that this boy had been through much more than she had, and she thought that, his struggles were clearly greater than hers.
Martial arts and such, was a much more fun topic to talk about. "I guess I'm both a martial artist and a mage...? All of my techniques are based on some kind of combination of ki and magic... When I was young, I learned under my aunt and uncle, and I entered a lot of competitions for fun! Maybe I should have also went for the prize money..." Suri chuckled a bit. With that, hopefully she successfully lightened the mood. "I trained alone as well after that...until I entered the Cat School- Err, that's a martial arts school. Now I also train under a master, who happens to be a blue catperson."

Yanwang gave one last look around so he could unflex his fist and sigh in relief. He was glad he didn't go nuts right there that would not have been a fun time. "Nah I don't have that much control. I am just I don't know lucky." He really was not a controlled person but guess Suri thought so. He should not question it too much it could be positive. Letting someone have a goal to improve on. "I think though you do have to get great mental strength to be a good fighter. Like taking a punch it not just about being able to take it and being able to respond in a matter that does not get you punched agian." Yanwang would hope that sounded like words of wisdom cause to him they didn't. Guess if fooled Suri with them that would be good enough.
Suri then explained her own experience with Martial Artist and being a mage. She explained that she combined Ki and Magic all the time in fighting. He had to admit that was pretty cool. Sure he used Magic and Ki he didn't really combine them in a fight. He just used one or the other he didn't have techquines that took advantage of using both in a fight. Guess he should really start doing that, it would be for the best. When he mentioned the Cat school he turned his head. "You mean Nashi?" Yanwang was pretty sure that who it was. Who else would be a blue cat man? Unless someone was trying to step on Nashi's feet but he assumed Nashi would hit them for doing that. Being a blue cat was Nashi's thing.

"Huh...okay." Perhaps she had been mistaken from what he had said. Yanwang then continued with talk about mental strength...in fighting...? "Err...not what I was talking about, but...okay." still, Suri reassuringly smiled. What he said was basic stuff, but it wasn't wrong.
Yanwang asked if Suri was talking about Nashi. Of course, Suri thought. She sipped some more of her drink before saying "Yeah, Nashi-" Wait, hold on. "You know Nashi?!" Suri put her cup down and leaned forward in her seat. "How do you know him? A-Are you a Cat School student too by chance...?" If so, this would be the second time Suri randomly ran into a fellow student- nay, a senpai. Regardless, Suri was amazed at how often she was meeting all these young yet strong fighters in the world... "Oh, how did you guys meet? I actually met him while looking for Myu in the tower... Oh, have you met Myu too?"
...Huh. When did she stand back up again?

"I just meant that for me. You know I think that what most important in a fighter." Guess he may have gotten a little sidetracked focusing on moving the topic in a somewhat different direction so he didn't get too angry. When he mentioned Nashi it seemed to light up for Suri. Guess they were talking about the same person which was a good sign. "Yah Nashi and no I don't go to his school." He did remember Nashi may be saying that before but he knew he'd not be a student of his. Afterall he was totally stronger then Nashi he could not be his student. "He and I are good friends but I don't want to be his student afterall I'm just as strong as he is total." Yanwang pointed at himself. "Trust me I'm like as powerful as I say. Maybe that be a good way to tell how strong I am." Guess since he assumed Suri had an idea of how strong Nashi was. When Suri mentioned Myu he rubbed his head a bit of blush forming on his face. "Yah I've meet Myu we are also good friends." Their friendship was hard to explain at least in Yawnang's head so he left it at that.

Yanwang did know Nashi, but he wasn't a student. "Oh..." Still, it was quite the cool coincidence that he happened to know Nashi. "I see, you're friends! I..." Suri paused...was she Nashi's friend too? Did he consider her as one? She was his student now, but...? Suri decided that she would have to ask him when she got the chance. "...hm."
Apparantly Yanwang was just as strong as Nashi! Suri had no reason to not believe him, so she took that as the truth. So that meant...Yanwang was super strong too. "Yeah, that's...a really good way to tell, since I actually saw his power and all... I got destroyed! Heheh..." Suri recalled the first training session she had with Nashi two months ago, when Nashi's Blue Bro Ball hit her and several pieces of her body were blown off.
"Oh...? Er, your face is getting a bit redder, are you okay?" Was he going to get even more sunburns?? There was a parasol above them though...one that was usually placed in tables located just outside of stores like this. Just in case, Suri placed another ice pack on the table for Yanwang to take, magically materialized, as usual.
Suri realized something after that. "Wait, so if you know Myu...you probably know what happened to her with...Abraxas." The poor girl.

"Yah were like best friends. Nashi Yogu and Me. The Trio of awesomeness." That reminded him he had not seen Yogu for a while. Last time he saw him he seemed odd and mad about something. Maybe he stubbed his toe or something? Guess he'd have to ask him next time he saw him. Guess she also knew the power of Nashi so she had an idea how strong he was. "Yeah, he can be a tough guy. I remember when I got crazy we had a real fight and he stabbed me that was fun." He even got a cool scar from that. That was what made him a cool person right. Getting a scar and not crying about it. Other than when he woke up in extreme pain in the south city hospital.
"Yah my face is getting redder?" He'd rubbed his face to make sure Suri could not see his blush. Suri even brought another Icepack which he slapped there to cover it instead. "Ahhhh." As long as she was fooled he would be fine. "Yah I know about Myu and Abraxas. She got possed or something. I tried to fight her but she easily beat me." He remembered being hit and falling asleep in the trash can. That was a while ago and only served as more reason he needed to train to reach a level not to be thrown around like a toe. "She is fine now last time I saw her. Plus that won't happen again she will keep being able to smile and have fun. No need for her to worry." Yanwang would make sure of that once his training was done.

"Oh, really! That's... Huh, Yogu...I heard that name before." ...Yeah, that was the guy who was also possessed by evil, just like Myu. Nashi had mentioned him when talking about her. "Yeah...never met him, but..."
Crazy? Wait, STABBED?! "O-Oh?!" That didn't sound like fun... "When he hurt me, it was by accident... What happened with you and him? What did you mean by 'crazy'?"
Yanwang apparantly wasn't in pain, because he didn't notice his face getting redder. Thankfully Suri's ice pack seemed to do the trick. Suri sat back down after giving him the ice. That was weird, Suri had no idea why his face acted up for a second.
The topic moved on to Myu though. "You were easily beaten? Then I probably stood no chance either..." Still, Suri wasn't glad that she wasn't there, in fact, she felt kinda guilty for not helping despite saying she would. "Yeah, she...Myu's back now. She's fine, and...we're all going to keep it that way, right?" Suri was unable to be there for Myu before, but now? She grew stronger in her training, and maybe now, she could to use her strength to protect the ones she cared about, Myu included. "Let's both be there for Myu...and everyone else too! Er, can I count on you as well, friend?" Suri asked, putting her hand forward.

"Yah is a friend of ours but I've not seen him in a while hopefully, he will be ok." Guess Yanwang should ask Nashi about that. He would probably know where he was. "Well I got hurt when I was like possed I guess. It was a little wired and I was kinda being an asshole. So Nashi and I fought a real fight and he was able to stop me. Worked out, in the end, having a cool scar is the sign of a good warrior." Though then agian not having a scar would mean your unstoppable. Yanwang rubbed his chin trying to wrap his brain around which would be the coolest to have. No Scar or one Scar. At least he got to get rid of multiple scars. The one scar stung enough half the time. He didn't wanna feel like he been bitten by ants all the time.
"Yah Abraxas beat me up easy but now I could beat her up if need be so i'm not worried." He was unsure if he could but he did get a lot stronger maybe he had a chance. It didn't matter Myu was ok now so Abraxas was snot something to worry about. "Yah we will be there for the others for sure." Yanwang nodded as Suri offered her hand. "Alright." He'd reach out to shake her hand. Guess they were friends now not that he had a problem with that. Suri seemed very nice and together he beat they'd dazzle their foes with their magic abilities.

Suri's initial thought was that this Yogu person just fell off the grid, the idea of him being not okay was one that came to her mind after Yanwang mentioned his hope of him being okay. "Hm...I hope he's okay too."
"So you were possessed too... It's good that you were knocked out of being possessed, but... That must have hurt." A scar. A permanent reminder of the events that transpired to cause you to get wounded. It wasn't a good thing to Suri, and she felt bad, especially since she was incapable of getting one.
Suri grinned. "Hopefully it doesn't have to come to that." Because that implied Abraxas' return.
Yanwang accepted Suri's friendly gesture! And yay, they were friends! Suri smiled widely, knowing that she still had the social skills to make friends. "Awesome. Hopefully no one else gets possessed again, though. That would be for the best." Suri would say 'no thanks' to Myu, or Yogu, or Yanwang, or anyone who was possessed before getting possessed again, and anyone new getting possessed as well. Suri...she wouldn't be possessed as well, right? ...Yeah.
Suri sipped on her milkshake, and noticed that she finished her drink. Suri looked at Yanwang's, was he also...? "Where were you headed to earlier, by the way? Home?"

"Yah he is even stronger than me and Nashi so i'm not worried." Yanwang gave a thumbs up but yah he was still worried. He hoped he'd see him soon enough. "Nah I was not possessed I guess. It was like...." Yanwang rubbed his chin unsure how to explain it. "I think it was just me. It was just someone that was me just older and colder. I don't know why but that is scarier." Yanwang looked down thinking what it could be exactly. He knew the Fujin Bag could bend the laws of the world to create objects. Yet there was something in there he didn't understand yet. Another power deep down ready to be grabbed and it was scary. He remembered what that demon in his bag had said. He could have as much power as he needed he just had to give up his friends. He'd snapped back to focus as Suri spoke about hopefully she'd returned. "Yeah, hopefully, she does not."
When she made a note on possessions and hopefully no one else got possed he'd give a nod. "Yah I doubt anyone will be dumb enough to try to take us over. We proved time and time agian that our wills are stronger than any demons we all have deep down." Yanwang laughed. Plus even if it did happen agian they are able to stop it like every other time. That just how good of a team they all were. When Suri asked where he was going Yanwang shrugged. "I just walk around. Usually, I sleep in an alley or something. I don't really mind since their pretty cozy." He was a little young to afford a home plus since he wandered around a lot he really had no use of one. Unconventional but he bet a lot of people did that.

Well, that instantly and completely blew away Suri's concerns for the Yogu guy. If he was stronger than Nashi and Yanwang- whether that was combined strength or not- he had monstrous strength, surely he'd be able to handle himself, wherever he was. With a smile, Suri would move on from that topic.
"Huh... Older and colder, huh?" Whatever that meant, it sounded like he was possessed to her. Well, she wasn't here to argue about the specifics of what it was.
Suri tilted her head when Yanwang said that possessions were unlikely to happen again because no one was stupid enough to try. "Can't keep your guard down because of that, though... I don't know...do the 'possess-ers know well enough about past failures to be afraid to try themselves? They might not know better, if they're trapped in...uhh, wherever they came from."
Suri was thinking of maybe getting Yanwang a taxi home or something, but as it turned out, apparantly he slept in alleyways! "You...what? You don't have a home? What about your parents?!"

"Yah like me in the future you know. I took parts of me and made something that was me but different." Yanwang was unsure how to explain it to Suri. Yet he knew it was him this was not a new person. Maybe it was someone he made to protect him? He really had no idea but regardless they could move on. Suri made a good point that they could not let the guard down regardless. "Yah well we will be ok. We will all be smart enough to keep our guard up all the time. No need to get controlled and cause a lot of trouble." Then Suri seemed shocked he didn't have a home. Speaking of parents Yanwang shrugged. "Ogres live in the afterlife this is like me on vacation. My dad is not around and my mom is ok with me going around. Plus I like sleeping around in allies and stuff. It is pretty fun I don't really need a home. Plus with my powers, I can make it all that I need." A ton of warm blankets and with the snacks of choice was all he needed to be happy while going to bed.

He made...? Suri raised her eyebrow. Well, that was definitely different. Now Suri was more convinced this wasn't a 'possession'. She was still unsure as to what it was, but maybe they were talking about it for a bit too long. It probably wasn't a good memory for Yanwang. Right, they were moving on.
Oh. Apparantly Yanwang was sleeping outside of his own volition. Well, if he was fine with it... Yeah, he'd probably be fine. He had the strength to defend himself, he had the magic to create whatever he needed... "...Like a house? Tent? Er, are you sure you're okay sleeping outside?" Suri asked, her concern not completely dispersed just yet.
Suri shifted her focus, to what Yanwang had said. He was an Ogre...which was... "Ah, I'm sorry, err..." Suri balled up a fist and put it to her forehead. "I feel like I'm supposed to know this... What's an Ogre? And you said you live in the...afterlife?!" Suri's eyes widened, and her upper body jerked back, as if her late surprise hit her, actually hit her, as if it manifested in the physical realm. Her hands found their way somewhere close to the side of her head, but far from close enough to cover her ears and block out sound.
Now Suri was doubting her ears, though that was unrelated to the location of her hands. Yanwang was an Ogre, some kind of lifeform from the afterlife? ...If 'lifeform' was the correct term, even. "What's living in the afterlife like? Er, 'living'... A-Are you...alive?" Suri couldn't believe she was even asking this, but...she was just curious! More curious about the afterlife, though.
