"Yeah I mean I can make a tent." Yanwang shrugged. He never thought of that. He just made a bed and some blankets. That usually was enough for him to snuggle inside and escape the cold. Then Suri asked what an ogre was. He blinked in surprise he assumed she knew what an ogre was with all her magic skills. Guess that was earth for you they didn't know anything. Yanwang grinned. "Ogres like me were born and usually live in the heaven part of the afterlife. We like to watch over the dead and make sure they don't do bad things or escape. You know keeping balance and all that. We Kind of serve as the ground troops for the Shinjins. They watch the universe and manage it and we do all the little stuff that is needed for managing." Hopefully, that was easy enough to understand. Yanwang then laughed when Suri asked if he was alive or not. "Of course I'm alive silly it not like the afterlife just makes you dead if you are born there. As for how it is, boring. It is way less cool then earth which is why I live down here most of the time instead of up there." Added with the fact he was a convinced criminal in the afterlife Earth was just a better place overall.

This was sort of uncharted territory for the Earth-born mage, yes. Heck, she didn't even know the afterlife existed, and the fact she was accepting it without question was...okay, maybe she had heard about the existence of the otherworld. ...Yeah, she vaguely remembered being told about it, but forgetting it soon afterwards because it was the boring stuff to six year old Suri, who wanted to just move on to the 'cool magic stuff'. Curse you, immature past Suri, that was important information!
...Whatever. Thankfully, Yanwang was refreshing her memory now, so it was all good. "S-So, Ogres manage and run the afterlife, and the 'Shinjins' manage the universe. Sounds important, the jobs you have, like the police, or the army!" Suri said, astonished by what was revealed as Yanwang's occupation. She guessed, that was why he needed to be that strong. "I guess I might see you, if I ever die." ...Well, that was...morbid, and heartwrenching to think about. Her own death.
Yanwang was alive! Whether that mattered to the otherworld resident or not, Suri didn't know. He had already been living in the afterlife, after all. What would change for him if he were to ever die? ...That was also a morbid question Suri was going to keep to herself. Nervous laughter from Suri was followed by "Y-Yeah, what a silly question! Sorry about that."
The otherworld was apprarantly boring. Suri didn't know anything about that, but she did know for sure that Earth was a fun place to live in, and one with a lot of tasty food. Suri grinned happily, about 50% of the reason being said tasty food, but also, because she was glad; "Glad you like it here!" She then tilted her head and raised her eyebrow when she realized the meaning of what Yanwang said. His job was to take care of the Otherworld, but he was spending more time on Earth? "Uhm... and you're not going to get in trouble for taking so many vacations...?" Suri asked, chuckling.
Suri took a small break to finish off the remainder of her milkshake, and quietly placed the cup down on the table. She had one more question, one that was on her mind since the mention of the world of the dead. Her voice shifted to a more serious, calm, perhaps even sad one. Suri asked;
"...Say, is there a way to find out if someone went to heaven or hell?"

Yanwang nodded as Suri explained her understanding of it after he explained how he understood it himself. She seemed to have caught on. Then she said something about how she'd meet him when she died. "Maybe but let's wait for at least a hundred years ok!" Yanwang gave a bright smile. He didn't want to see any of his friends new or old come to the afterlife so early. "Don't be sorry about asking since ogres like me live a long time. I don't know about Majins I'll be there when Yemma comes around looking for your soul a smile still on my face to see an old friend finally at rest." Yanwang nodded. Yanwang sat as Suri noted would he get in trouble for not being around. "I am still just a kid. Maybe in a few years, I'd have to head back and stay there more often. Right now I'm just gonna enjoy my childhood and have fun!" Yanwang flexed his fist then tilting his head to Suri as she wondered if there was a way to find out where she'd go before she died. "Can't say there is but you seem pretty nice. I am sure you are going to go to Heaven!"

Suri nodded. "Yeah. Hopefully a few hundred." But you never knew, which city someone was going to try something in next.
Ogres lived for a long time. "Huh. I guess that makes sense." After all, you couldn't do a very good job of managing the afterlife if you only lived for, say, eighty years. Suri put a hand on her chin and narrowed her eyes. To be honest, she didn't know how long her own lifespan was, either. ...okay, so she wasn't being honest because she wasn't admitting to that ignorance.
"That would be......nice." Suri said. Did she mean it, though? ...Yeah, sorta. The thought of seeing a familiar face in the afterlife was...well, that still meant she would be dead, which would be sad, but...it would be slightly better.
Yanwang was a kid. Okay, so he wasn't one of those 'younger than he looks' types. "Yeah, you're right about that. Gotta enjoy the time of freedom you have while you still have it..." Huh. It was kind of ironic for her to be saying that, seeing as how Suri's was being extended for a bit longer even though her childhood was long over. She wasn't very good at being an adult, was she.
Yanwang thought Suri would go to heaven... Oh, Suri appreciated the Ogre saying that, even if she didn't believe it. He was calling her nice too, which was...well, nice of him. "Thanks." Suri smiled, trying to wash away the somber expression that was showing on her face the entire time.
The Ogre's answer was a 'no', there wasn't a way to know if someone went to heaven or hell. Understandable. Suri didn't know what she was expecting... From what she had heard, though, her mother was a nice person, so Suri was going to hope- believe that she went to heaven.
...Man, this whole talk about the afterlife and death was making her emotional. Suri was finding it hard to hide the sadness in her tone, and her smiles felt like they were all sorts of incomplete.
Maybe she should just go. She was already getting ready to, earlier. She was already done with her milkshake, and just now, she had finished it off by slurping up the small amount of liquid at the bottom that remained.
"It was fun talking with you, Yanwang. I think it's time I went home, but I'd love to meet you again. Maybe train, like we talked about earlier?" Home...Yanwang didn't have one, though, so how would they meet? "Um, say that I wanted to do that, meet you again... How would I go about doing that? How would I know where to find you, or how to contact you?"

Yanwang nodded. Suri was really nice but guess talking about death was not for the best. Still, on the part of enjoying his life, Yanwang smiled. "Yah gotta keep things exciting and soon enough I'll be stuck in the otherworld. Cause no offense to the rest of the ogre's but the otherworld is boring as heck. It really is not that fun I have to say at least compared to out here. The universe is always changing but the otherworld is very static. Things are not as wild as they are down here." Yanwang smiled. Guess things were said but it was time to talk about other things. Suri then asked how she'd keep in contact with him. Yanwang rubbed his chin. "I didn't think about that." How would they keep in contact? Then Yanwang smiled. "Well, I'll leave it to fate. Maybe we will meet again soon by chance or maybe we won't. I don't really have any way to contact people other than that." Yanwang shrugged. Hopefully, that was good enough for Suri if not he'd have to conjure something up and not lose that.

So, the world of the dead was dead boring. "...Hm. Figures. But that also means it's more peaceful up there? ...Up?" Was it up? Wasn't it space up beyond the skies? A question Suri thought was too silly to say out loud.
Talking about death and such really wasn't the best. Suri was thinking she'd leave after getting Yanwang's phone number or something, but...apparantly he didn't have a method of contact, and said he'd leave it up to chance for them to meet again! "So, you don't have a phone... Hmm..." Suri stood there, a hand shifting to her chin as she briefly dove into thought. She couldn't think of a method of contact, but she thought of a way for them to possibly meet again. "Well, since I go to The Lookout and The Tower all the time to train with Nashi, you could find me there, if you want. That's the only thing I can think of. Does that sound good? Do you hang around The Lookout often?" No conjuring required. It was still sort of up to fate, but the chances had just gone up from 0.0000...something, to about...40~60%?

Yanwang nodded as Suri gave her suggestion. They could meet at the Lookout which was a spot that she'd go up to train with Nashi. That made a lot of sense. He went their every so often so he'd prob be able to easily catch Suri while she was there to train. Plus that would mean he'd hang out with himself, Suri and Nashi. All they would need is to get Yogu coming. "Yeah that sounds good." Yanwang got up and then began to bounce up and down. "I am ready to go I'll catch you on the flip side." Then Yanwang would fly off into the sky. It was time to get back to his training and next time he meets Suri maybe he'd fight her. He could not wait for that day.
