It had felt like an eternity since she last came here. Satan City, or Badman City as it was once known by, has changed immensely since its fall. While there were still the subtle signs of the old corruption that had once laid waste to this city, or the sorrow on a zoan's face as he made his way to the graveyard to perhaps honor someone that he lost during the entire debacle, everyone seemed to be slowly returning back to their normal life. It was almost as if this entire incident had never happened in the first place. It was a far cry from the evil that had happened here so long ago. Kon, silently hoped that wherever her former's friend family were they were safe. But she had found herself asking so often, why did she return here? It wasn't as if she had any family around here or even anyone that she knew. But she couldn't help but feel drawn here.
As Kon walked down the streets, most people paid her no attention aside from the occasional glance she got that expressed either pity or disgust. In fact, most people seemed to avoid her. However, she had grown accustomed to the look. Being an outsider with no home, no skills or anything significant about you tended to do that. However, after walking by some glass, even she couldn't help but flinch. The girl that she was six months ago who had accompanied her former best friend here was no longer here. Her eyes were hallowed, bags beneath them from the many restless nights she had. Her hair was a complete mess, not having had a proper wash for so long and her clothes were dirty, matted and tattered. Insane, crazy, bum. Those words immediately popped into her head as she regarded herself. She sighed, no wonder why she couldn't get a job for months. It wasn't as if she wanted one anyways. At this point, she was just barely surviving. Hardly, even living the life that a girl her age should be living.
Her hand left a dirty mark on the once crystal window from where she placed it as she began to walk away. Where was she going to go next? All her life seemed to add up to was just wandering around aimlessly until something happened. Silently, she hoped that whatever was destined to happen would come already. Walking into the park, she settled down on a nearby bench and began watching the pond as a duck and her ducklings just began to swim around. If only she could have a family like that. If only, she just had someone to talk to and let out her own frustrations.

Time That Has Gone Unseen PL: 30 (Suppressed; 70,030) | (x4) Hydrogan: OFF "Hello, this is Tria Mitihl! If you're hearing this, I'm most likely busy at the moment and can't take a call. If you need to, please leave a message after the-"Garon hung up the phone. Of course Mom didn't answer; she didn't respond to any of the other seven missed calls either. Since the Central City incident, Garon hadn't been able to reach her. Or Carro. Or anyone on his Crop Co. contacts list, for that matter. While he didn't know whether or not his co-workers made the same idiotic mistake Carro did, he did know that his mother was safe. The fact that his calls were even going through in the first place is proof enough that Tria hadn't gotten vaporized during the hell that was Central City's evacuation. "She's fine," Garon kept telling himself. "Gotta stop worrying about her. I've got more... pressing issues at hand."Snapping back to reality, Garon realized only one thing. Sleeping at a bench in the park was one of the greatest, yet dumbest ideas he's ever had. On the bright side, none of his stuff had been stolen; an occurrence that would've been far more likely had he slept in the streets. But this was at a cost; his back was all kinds of messed up. As he rolled off of his "bed" in a daze, he began to roam around the park half-awake. Garon had seen this place before out of the corner of his eye, as Badman happened just a few blocks down. But he didn't even want to think about Badman. After all, this situation was somehow far worse. After ten minutes of walking, Garon saw who he believed to be one of the maybe four other people in the entire park. She looked... tired. Dirty, yes, but more exhausted than anything. And the worst part was, she looked younger than him. Garon approached the girl, leaning on a nearby tree close to the water. "You alright? When someone's sitting at a bench all alone and looking at the water all depressed and shit, it usually means they aren't. But hey, no harm in asking, right?" Garon didn't bother extending his hand for a handshake; they were too far away from each other to have one without one of them getting up. "Name's Garon, before you ask. I assume you have a name too?"

A rough voice caught her attention, one that caught her completely off guard. While it wasn't uncommon for someone to try to talk to her, it was typically some elder trying to give them bits of her wisdom or just some jeering comment by some teen. The voice, while rough, held kindness instead of the teasing that Kon had expected. She lifted her head up to see who had talked to her. He didn't even seem much older than her at all, perhaps one or two years at most. He wasn't a race that she was particularly familiar with, although Kon had reckoned she had seen one or two people with a similar appearance with the horns and long tail with lavender scales. She couldn't help but give him a small smile, "Yeah, you caught me there."
The boy, introducing himself to be Garon, seemed rather approachable despite the fact he was leaning on a tree a quite of a distance away from her. Maybe it was just because Kon didn't have the chance to talk to someone around her age for quite a long time. The last time she had managed to do something like this was with Bloom, and she knew how that ended. She couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness as she recalled those happy memories from long ago. It was all gone now, thanks to her. Before she would end up wallowing even further in her own self pity, Kon decided to nod and answer Garon's question. "Yeah, my name is Kon. Nice to meet you, I guess. Honestly didn't expect someone like you to pay any attention to me." She said with a sigh, leaning back on her bench some more, tilting her head upwards as she just blankly stared at the sky above her.
"I have a lot of things wrong with my life, every single one of them was beyond my control. I wish things could be different." Kon admitted. Of course, she wasn't going to get into any specific details with this stranger. There was a limit to how much personal stuff she was willing to share. She was especially not going to divulge any of her plans for the near future, especially when it was one that could get her arrested just for saying them out loud. However, despite all her mixed up feelings, it was at least cathartic to at least get some of her thoughts out of her head, especially when moments like these were rare.

The girl's name was Kon, and she seemed to have about as many problems as Garon had. Kon mentioned something about how everything about her life seemed beyond her control, and Garon couldn't help but chuckle at how painfully familiar that story sounded. "Yeah, no shit," Garon began. "The whole fuckin' world's falling apart. There's been attacks all over the place; at the Lookout, Crop Co. Headquarters, West City, Central City, here..." Garon grinned as he turned his head to look out at the lake. "Apparently, some dumbass even tried blowing up the moon. I mean, who does that?"
His smile faded as he told Kon his reality of the situation. "But unfortunately some things are just beyond your control. It's just the way it is. They're bigger than you, hell, they're bigger than me too. You never get to choose when it's your time to shine, it just... happens. That's why you've gotta be prepared. I've fucked up a bunch in my life too, but luckily I was given a second chance. And this time around, I'm not making any mistakes." Garon looked at the ground with dead eyes. "Even if it takes you a million years, your time to shine has to come eventually. And when it does, you've just gotta... take it, y'know?"
Garon snapped back to reality, realizing he was rambling for a second. "But uh, I'm sure something good's bound to happen to you sooner or later. After all, if you hit rock bottom, there's nowhere to go but up, right?"

What even was the world today. In her childhood, she didn't recall the world suffering from all these attacks. It really felt that once she had gotten under Kohlra's custody the world as she knew it fell apart all around her. Kon couldn't help but give a weak laugh to Garon's words. "It seems like people just want to cause chaos these days. Guess peace got too boring." She hardly understood why they even decided to disrupt the peace. "I never liked the sun anyways," she said with a half-hearted tone back to him. "Maybe I should go destroy it as well, it seems like a great idea." If only she could joke like this all the time.
Then came the advice that she knew so well. She already knew that almost everything in her life was beyond her control, and she hated it. Even if the chance was slim, Kon wanted to get a firm grasp on her life and create a life she wanted. Unfortunately, the universe didn't seem to like her idea much at all. "But what if I can't wait those million years?" Kon asked mournfully. For once, she wanted things to go in her own favor. She wanted to make the universe bend to her rather having to bend to it instead. However, in the end, she was still just one person. "How will I even learn what is the right and wrong path for me to take?" And which path was the fastest or had the lowest chance of failure that she could take if Kon wanted to accomplish her goals.
"I guess," Kon said in response to Garon's proposition that things will only get better from here. It really didn't feel like it at all, especially when she hit rock bottom several times in her life, each one becoming much steeper than the one before it. How would she know that this cycle wouldn't continue? "What was your rock bottom?" Kon asked, curious to see what Garon would say. While she doubt that he had ever reached something as low as she did, she was still curious and wanted to see how large of a ditch he had to climb out of. Misery always loved company in the end.

"You just have to keep working at it," Garon said, attempting to assure Kon that things would eventually get better. Apparently the girl was curious about what the right and wrong path for her to take was. "I dunno if it's ever that simple," he said bluntly. "There are times when you've gotta do a little wrong to make things better. I think... that as long as you don't fuck it up and end up doing more harm than good, then there's nothing wrong with that, right?." That kind of advice was dangerous to give, especially to someone who seemed as upset with life as Kon, but a part of Garon felt like Kon needed it. When Kon asked what Garon's rock bottom was, he froze for a second before responding. "It's... nothing important. I-I just made some... mistakes, yeah. Whooole lot of mistakes. But hey, mistakes exist to be learned from. Once you make a mistake once, you'd have to be an idiot to repeat it, and you don't strike me as stupid. At least you got that going for you."Clearly talking about all of these depressing topics was going to wear both of them out, so Garon decided to change the topic to something a little more normal. "So where are you from, exactly? Got any place to stay while you uh, you know, get everything back together?"

Keep working at it? She's been working on it for six months already and there still has been no sign of improvement. Plus, Kon didn't exactly know how to feel about spending her entire life just working towards only a chance for a better future. She wanted it now, more than anything. For once in her life, she just wanted to have control of something. But still, she did listen to what he had to say. "How can you even decide how much wrong you do? Seems like that's the only thing I'm really good at, and even when I try it comes out a lot more than I want." There didn't seem like there was a way for her to not screw things up, even if she tried her best. In the end, Kon felt nothing but just a giant failure and mistake. She hated it.
Garon did attract a bit of suspicion from Kon when he appeared to be unwilling to share some things about his past, leading her to become even more curious than she had before. "What? You made the typical teenager mistakes? Got one of those bad influence girlfriends, drink and drive and maybe you even killed someone?" She asked, a teasing tone in her voice. Those issues were trivial, and something that Kon might have preferred to get in trouble with than the entire mess that she was in right now. "Your secret's safe with me, it's not like I'll let anyone know." She whispered, pressing her lips together in a slight smile. She didn't have any reason to tell anyone, and well, there wasn't as if she had anyone to tell it to anyways. Feigning shock, Kon's tone was now full of mock hurt, "Hey are you just saying I'm not stupid. Well you got that wrong, because I absolutely am." She couldn't help but let out a snort at the end. Well, she did partially mean what she said.
The topic quickly changed, with Garon asking where she came from. "Oh, I come from South City." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. "I don't really have anywhere else to go through. Both of my parents are gone, granted even if my mother was still alive I wouldn't want to stay with her either." She said with a shiver. "Been on the road for six months, it sucks sometimes, but it was much better than my years with her." Kon didn't have any regrets from running away from Kohlra, and she still hardly even shed a tear at her death. But now, she was just awaiting the eventual meetup between each of them again, one that will definitely end in blood. But that wasn't something she particularly wanted to keep her mind on right now. "How about you?"
