Oh gosh, she was behind. So behind on university work. That needed to change and preferably as quickly as she could possibly manage. After a little bit of thought Morticia concluded on one assignment to try and knock out and that the best way to focus on getting it done would be to complete it in the company of friends! Part of the assignment required researching a plant she knew she could find in the Bamboo Forest anyway and she was sure that, if they were free, her friends would like the excuse to go out and have a bit of an adventure with it. The assignment wasn't necessarily boring or anything but she had the chance to make it more fun and wasn't about to pass it up.
After sending a message to who she thought would be interested in coming, she packed her backpack bag with her notebook and pens as well as some snacks and other small things she thought might be handy to have at the forest. Once that was sorted, Morticia was on her way! Having said she'd meet the friends that responded on the edge of the forest before truly entering. The trip to getting there herself had some complications but in the end she managed, choosing to alternate between walking and flying the very last bit of the way there to allow more time for her friends to get ready and show as well. Now all she had to do was wait for them to arrive, then they could set off on their small uni assignment completion adventure!
"Heeey, Morti!" a voice boomed and waved from the air, Morticia didn't have to wait too long, one of her friends who is more than eager to join her on this adventure is brash half blood saiyan Russé, like the purple doragon he brought a backpack to store a lot of important essentials, which is nothing but a shit ton of food, visually apparent by the overly large size of his bag and seemingly forgetting to pack other important stuff like medical kits in case they get injured. Now the biggest challenge is for Morticia to prevent this pig eater from eating all of the food.
He turned off his Ki barrier, landing safely on the ground next to Morticia, his expression bright with enthusiasm, this is going to be great! "I heard about your assignment and no way I was gonna pass up this opportunity to go on an adventure! I packed in a lot of food for the trip so we ain't starving" showing her his humongous load.

Russe's voice was easily picked up by his Doragon friend since he wasn't known for being quiet or soft spoken, she would turn and look up easily spotting his vibrant blue hair as he approached her, earning him a welcoming smile. "Hey Russe! I'm glad you could make it!" She paused for a moment to glance at the backpack the half saiyan had brought with him before then raising an eyebrow at him, "I hoooope you packed more then just food this time around" She'd say in a rather playful manner, it didn't really matter if Russe had only brought food, she had packed other things as just in case and it wasn't like they were going out looking for danger anyway, what's the worst they could get themselves into?
"Jus kiddin' I figured you'd be one to pack more goodies so I packed more first aid and rope and books n such myself, we should be good, just don't go eating it all in one go, alright?" She'd take a hold of the straps of her own backpack and smiled at her friend's enthusiasm, "Great! I think we should be good to start, Tysco can catch up with us if he ends up wanting to come with later" She'd make sure to quickly text their friend to let him know exactly that and the kind of area they were in as well before she'd start to head further into the forest. "We may be walkin for a little bit to get deeper into the forest, since the plants and such needed for the assignment usually tuck themselves away deeper in the forest and in caves and stuff like that" She'd look back over her shoulder at her friend, "Hope you're up for that! Remember, no eating all the food at once!"
Russé's heart is about to pump in a faster rate, he knew he was forgetting important stuff and his doragon friend is reminding him about it, he has no choice but to address is foolery, that is until it turns out she was joking and she knew all along he would prefer to pack in a lot of food, so she brought her own stuff for the trip Phew!
"Hehe, you know me so well, I was caught up in packing food for the trip I couldn't fit in other important stuff" grinning sheepishly, maybe he should've packed in smaller batches of food to make room, he will keep in mind next time. He watched her text Tysco their location and what their up to in case he wanted to come "yeah, he will know where we are if he can find my energy signature" it is a little strange he could never seem to pick up any traces of energy from his companion, maybe she doesn't use ki manipulation at all, a reason he wont dwell too much on.
The half saiyan followed her further into the forest, backpack rattled trying to slip off his back but the saiyan's grip is too strong to let it happen. "Dont worry Cia I wont eat up all the food, I'll pinky swear it!" holding up a pinky giving her a dorky smile.
"I thought you might have, it's all good! I've come prepared!" She'd give him a thumbs up accompanied by a happy grin, she took note of these sort of things about her friends, they all had their quirks and it was important to remember them when she could manage to, in this case it was for sure since it helped her make sure to pack the things she figured Russe wouldn't be able to fit. "Yeah, that's true, I think he can? Or we could leave him a little trail of sorts to follow, either way I'm sure he'll be able to catch up if he wants to, anyways lets get going!"
When he held up his pinky she'd laugh lightly but turned around and hooked one of her own pinky fingers around it, giving his hand a shake "Now it's a pinky promise" She'd eventually let go of course and turned back to focus on continuing to walk ahead. "I trust you, heh, we can dig in a little later on once we've done some searching!"
As the two trudged on and on, they'd grow deeper into the forest, which became a little denser and thicker with tree's and greenery as they went along, sometimes Morticia would stop to examine a certain tree of plant along the way but it was only brief stops whenever she did, clearly they weren't quite near whatever she was looking for yet. As they continued though, eventually the duo would come across an odd greenhouse positioned in amoungst a handful of trees, the greenhouse itself was pretty normal if not a bit shabby but it being in the middle of a forest like this made it look rather out of place. Morticia would look at Russe, giving him quite the confused look before carefully approaching the small building. It seemed rather abandoned and the door was easy enough to push open, not seemingly even locked.
After having pushed the door open, Morticia would peek inside to make sure nobody was actually inside and sure enough, no one was, there were still plants and bits of paper and pots for plants scattered around inside it though but nothing that really caught her attention right away. There was however a book of sorts laying on the ground at the back end of the greenhouse. "Well I don't know about you but I sure wasn't expecting to find this in the middle of the forest" Steadily, the doragon would step inside, casting her gaze over the scattered goods around the place. "Kinda looks like someone left in a hurry huh?" She'd slip her bag off her back, setting it aside on top of a table that was mostly covered in paper and pots before flapping her little bat-like wings and drifting over to the back of the greenhouse, planting her feet back on the ground only once she reached the right spot to pick up the tossed book from.
Seconds after the doragon landed back on the ground, a light cracking noise began to fill the air which steadily grew louder and louder. Morticia would look up to Russe and not a moment after she did his friend would be sent plummeting downwards as the floor beneath her gave way and crumbled, looks like there was more to this greenhouse then what was obvious at a glance. The girl wouldn't scream or shout out, but she had let out a surprised squeak upon suddenly falling, which was followed by a hard smack, and a sound of pain. There was something underneath the greenhouse?
Russé's smile flashed a grin as his pinky weakened its grip from his friends's pinky, he will do his best to not break that promise even if the wait is dreadful for his stomach. The half saiyan held onto both straps of his backpack, adjusting its position by straightening his back. Morticia talked about the plants she is looking for are located in the deeper parts of the forest and in the caves, the latter got him excited since he's never gone to a cave before, this trip is going to be great.
"Are We going to look for plants in the caves? Well then lead the way partner, to the great forest and beyond!" his voice imitated a cowboy, studying plants isn't normally something he would get into do but he would do anything to support his buddy's education, beside he might earn something from this trip.
the pair began their journey deeper into the depths of nature, he would gladly express visible joy from spotting animals during their occasional stops, he choose to not say a word, allowing his friend to concentrate on her class assignment and to prevent himself from scaring away the inhabitants of the forest, aside from animals he is looking at the same trees his friend is examining. The pair soon discovered an abandoned greenhouse sticking like a sore thumb int eh forest, like Morticia the half saiyan grew puzzled from its strange appearance, before pushing the entrance open to go inside. It has everything one would expect from a greenhouse, plants, pots and bits of paper, if the exterior of the building looks old and abandoned, he half-expected stuff inside would show signs of aging as well.
Russé's green eyes fell upon the scattered stuff after it was brought to his attention. "They apparently forgot this place existed, Ugh it stinks in here" displeased by the oder, its very possible they left in a hurry but why didn't they come back? His mind pondered. Before he could come up with a logical scenario, his friend flew to the back of the greenhouse to pick up a book she discovered, prompting Russé to follow her. Once there an unsettling noise created from the cracking surface they are standing on, growing louder steadiy, he witnessed his friend dropped through the floor and a wave of panic took over his body. "Cia!" instinctively he dropped his bag then dive in the hole after her. The landing wasn't exactly pleasant, he flipped and landed on his feet sure, but the impact sent pain signals to his body, causing him to stumble on his butt, ouch.
Brushing it aside that's nothing compared to how Morticia is feeling, he examined her body for any injuries."You okay?" expressed concern as he lifted the back of her head with one hand and using his other hand to help her sit up.
While Russe landed on his feet- Well for the most part anyway, his friend landed face down causing her to grave along the palm of her hand and under arms before smacking her chin against the rocky floor. Part of the ground around where she had stood before falling had also fallen in after her, crumbling down onto her back. Thankfully though she wasn't quite out of it just yet but she did seem a bit dazed yet steadily she'd try to push herself up as bits of stone and rock rubble rolled off and away from her. The doragon coughed and wheezed lightly as trying to use her wings to help herself get back up proved to be nothing but painful, she couldn't even move them and looking back at them she understood why.
She put it on pause for a brief moment to look for Russe first, caring more for if he was okay or not right now. But the half Saiyan seemed fine, brushing off his thud of a landing before rushing over to her to see if she was okay. "Uh- Yeah... Yeah I think so, for the most part, something's wrong with my wings though, I think they smashed against something on the way down" She winced as her friend moved her head, squeezing her eyes shut as she tilted her head back so he could see her a little better. Her head was mostly fine aside from a bleeding graze along her chin and some scratches along her cheeks. Morticia would rub one of her fists against her eyes for a moment to push back pained tears before slowly getting back to her feet with some help from Russe. "I-I'm okay! Just a little bloody and battered, aheh" Pushing some loose hair out of her face she'd glance back to her wings again, "I may have broken a wing or something on the way down though-" And she of course left her bag up on that table...
The doragon inside was rather panicked most at the fact that her gem was left inside that very same bag, and now she couldn't get it, but panicking about it probably wouldn't do her any good, they would just have to find a way out of here. Speaking of, where was here? "Looks like we found one of the caves we were looking for... Though, this one feels different?" She'd frown lightly and look to her friend, "Can you feel that?" She'd look further down into the cave and as her eyes adjusted to the dark she would notice there were all sorts of plants, crystals and other curiosities down here and it was almost as if they were calling to her to come take a look further into the cave. The feeling was rather heavy, and made flying back out seem borderline impossible but it did make venturing further seem like a wonderful thing rather then a potentially dangerous or scary experience. Almost like some sort of weighted magical mist that replaced the ability to fly with feeling like you were already doing so. "There'll be some sort of way out of here, but I want to take a look first..." Morticia would murmur as she made her way along one side of the cave, running her hand along the side of the wall as she went.
Rusé discovered some scratches on her cheeks and a bleeding gash on her chin, her face is fine for the most part, just gotta wipe away the blood and she will be alright. Her wings are a different matter entirely, she wasn't lying about her wing being broken and they way one of them is disfigured is enough for the half saiyan to wince from her pain.
"Oooooo, yup its busted alright, If I had any senzu beans your injuries would be healed up and you'll be good as new, good thing we got med kits!"Helping his friend back to her feet while his smile is coated with confidence she is going to be fine. Russé searched around the area for her bag and to his dismay he couldn't find it "Uhh, where is your stuff?" asking his buddy with concern, if her stuff is missing then maybe he still has his bag right?
He looked around for their food supply and he gradually became more frantic looking for both of their things "I cant find my bag either, I could've sworn I had it on me before we fell down here.." putting both hands on his shirt to feel any straps and there was nothing. A chill zapped through his body realizing where their stuff could be, he looked up above him and concluded they left their stuff back at the greenhouse. "Holy Dragons, we left our stuff up there!" gripping his head in a panic.
"Oh no no no no no, this isn't good, we have no food, no water, no medical stuff to patch you up, and worst of all we are gonna starve to death!" he couldn't bear the though of leaving all of that delicious food unattended, what if the animals got to it and ate everything? Not only that Morticia's wing is broken so how will she fly out of here? "We're Doomed" Russé sulked in defeat, huddling over to a corner of the cave surrounded by a purple aura and dark wavy lines on his head for comedy effect.
His sulking is disturbed by Morticia asking if he felt anything different about the cave, focusing on the task at hand he tried to sense anything deeming suspicion and so far he felt nothing. "Mmm I don't feel anything," shaking his head and following Morticia, he didn't quite understand what she is feeling but he couldn't pick up any ki signatures, perhaps he couldn't sense any magical properties the cave possesses? The cave seemingly decorated itself with sightings of crystals, plats and other things to discover as they walk further down, naturally Russé would be awes trucked by what he is seeing with his own eyes. "Whoa...its awesome.." he murmered, he didnt know where to begin on what to do next.

Morticia caught Russe's grimace after he caught sight of her wings and it made look even more concerned on the matter, "They're that bad huh...?" She of course couldn't properly see them since they were literally on her back but she could feel them- or lacked enough feeling of them to know something was wrong. Russe then brought up Senzu beans and their med kits and before she could get a word in he frantically started to question where their bags were while also looking for them, "Russe-" His panic wasn't exactly helping their situation but she understood the reaction, "Russe I left mine on the table, you must've dropped yours on your way in" Eventually he realized this too though but it only proved to provide him with more panic
"Russe- Buddy calm down" While she was the most injured out of the two, she still seemed the most relaxed out of the pair about the whole situation. "Hey, we aren't doomed, we ain't dying down here, c'mon pull yourself back together, if we stay calm we can find a way out easier" She seemed rather lopsided with how one wing was much limper then the other, causing it to flop awkwardly and if they were bigger it'd probably drag along the cave's floor. However this didn't stop her from wandering over and putting a comforting hand on Russe's shoulder. "You don't have wings, your flight isnt broken, can't you fly out?" Of course any attempt at this would be met with a magical barrier the cave seemed to reek of, but that'd only be found out if Russe tried it.
As the two headed deeper into the cave itself Morticia grew less and less worried about her backpack, it was actually the best she'd felt in a long while after coming in contact with that gem, for once she wasn't worried about it, who was going to come across their bags anyway? Right now she could enjoy this moment of peace undisturbed by the nagging essence of the gem. "It feels like a magical pull of sorts, an energy from the cave itself" The further they went, the darker it got but the more wonders would also begin to show themselves, including glowing things like crystals and creatures as well as plants and mushrooms too. "It probably helps a lot of unique things grow down here, we have to check it out!" What was almost more impressive though, was the cave's size. It seemed to be home to many interesting looking plants and wild creatures too which were all rather small for the most part but it easily could also fit much larger animals as well since the two would have no trouble freely walking through the passageways of the cave. Just what exactly else called this place home...
Prior before going on their journey, Morticia had to help Russé out of his panic-inducing-episode, her gentle hand on his shoulder provided some relief to his well-being but it didn't change the fact they don't have the essentials to survive in a cave, he is calmer nonetheless feeling grateful he isn't alone on this mission to explore the unknown.
"Your right, cant find a way out if I'm freaking out about it" she reminded him about his ability to fly, he almost forgot he can do that. "Ah that's right I can fly back up to get our stuff!" he tried engulfing his body in a Ki aura attempting to ascend out of the hole they fell through but nothing happened, he tried again a second time and the results are the same.
"No good, looks like I cant fly in here, something is blocking the connection to my energy, guess we'll have to find an exit the old fashion way" he concluded, he didn't freak out so much unlike before but its still unsettling on being forced to rely on natural instincts in a place he is unfamiliar with.
Morticia described the cave possessing magical properties with energy of its own, no wonder his powers didn't work. "That explains why I cant fly" he isn't thrilled being stuck down here in a magical cave, however there are benefits to being "powerless" like this, it allowed the saiyan to appreciate all kinds of life in this cave.
The pair went further into the cave and its interior expanded, revealing a lot of creatures, mushrooms, plants and glowing crystals. Its more than enough to change his mind about being doomed, they are saved! As long as the mushrooms are harmless they have plenty of food to eat for the trip. "So much life in this cave, you think we could find water around here?" following Morticia while looking around.
"Freaking out is pretty natural, don't worry but we need to be calm now if we want to find a way out of here" She'd reassure him, though him not being able to fly back up was rather worrying. Okay, okay so they had to just continue on their way without the first-aid and food, no big deal right? They could do that, how big could the cave really be anyway? "Th.. That's okay! We can manage without, we'll just have to remember to come back for the bags once we've found the way out"
"That would be why, yeah, it could be suppressing your ability to fly" Morticia would murmur as her eyes darted around the edges of the cave walls. When Russe asked about water she would nod slowly, "Probably! Maybe some underground cave water, not so sure on the safeness of it though, but there should be some, this cave's size seems plentiful" She'd follow along further down the cave, stopping for a moment to glance over a dark flower that's petal edges seemed to glow, "Who knows what kind of creatures might be in that water too though, or what plants!"
The doragon would wait for Russe to follow along everytime she moved ahead, making sure not to lose him despite her eagerness to explore more. "The cave may be suppressing the hurt of my wings as well, they're gonna hit like a tonne of bricks once we get out of here but I'll have to worry about that when we get to it" She'd take a glance back to her wings and to her friend, giving an anxious smile "Good thing Tysco didn't come with us, right? Or... Maybe not, he'd probably know a clever way out" Morticia would sigh lightly before wincing again as her wings lowered to match her sigh, the movement causing irritation to her injury.
"Does any of your other Ki abilities still work down here? Just in case we might end up needing them later" Better to ask now rather then later, in case the cave really was home to anything bigger then something like a bat.
Russé placed both knuckles on his waist "but if we get thirsty, we'll have no choice but to drink it, I doubt its poisoned or anything its just water" confident the liquid substance is safe to drink if they choose to quench their thirst. She does have a point though, they never know what kind of creatures are in the water, they probably pooped in it too! Russé projected that disgusting image in his brain, and almost instantly regrets it, evident by his face turning green.
"On second thought, drinking cave water is not a good idea.." controlled himself from vomiting and feeling nauseated for a few seconds. His friend mentioned the pain from her injured wings has ceased due to the overwhelming magic in the cave but it will hurt like hell once they get out of there. "Oh really? Guess I don't have to worry about finding stuff to patch you up, are you sure its helping your wings?" he didn't understand how the cave was doing it but he'll take her word for it. "That goofball would've love this place if he was here, knowing him Tysco would befriend all of these creatures" agreeing with the sentiment.
In the corner of his eye he spotted a snake-like creature on the ground minding its own business, he didn't know why but something compelled Russé to pick it up. "Heeeeey, a snake!" or something resembling a serpent, Russé sprouted a toothy grin then placed the little guy on his shoulder. "Can I keep it?" showing the doragon. Morticia asked about his access to other Ki abilities and wisely so
"I dont know, lets see" the blue haired half-saiyan placed the snake around hsi shoulder, then concentrated a ball of ki energy in the palm of his hand "Hmmm, looks like I can still use KI, its just I wont be able to fly us out of here" concluding the magical cave has plans to keep them here.

"I doubt it'll come to that, we'll get outta here before then I'm sure of it, if we do have to touch it though I'll give it a better look over before we do, I know a thing or two when it comes to poison afterall" The doragon would give her hands a little jazzy wave as a reminder that, that was one of her powers so it was something she was dealing with on a daily basis just about.
"I'm pretty certain of it yeah, I mean, they'd be hurting like hell right about now if not, right? I'll still need to patch them up- preferably before we leave the numbing magic cave so it hurts less to do so" She'd laugh a little anxiously at the thought of it all hitting her like a ton of bricks afterwards, "He would've yeah" She laughed lightly at how Russe called Tysco a goofball, glad they were all close enough friends for friendly name calling like that.
Shortly after Russe brought up how he'd get along with the animals in here though a snake would find its way over to the two which the half Saiyan would promptly pick up. Being used to creatures like snakes and spiders, Morticia didn't even second think it as she watched her friend do so either, it wouldn't matter anyway though as both Russe and the snake seemed oddly calm, enough that he could put it on his shoulder even. "Aw I dunno about that, he probably likes his home down here and we shouldn't take him from it" Morticia wagged a finger at her friend but would let him keep it for now.
"Hmmm, interesting this cave on it's own is almost as fascinating as all the things living inside of it" She found it odd that it would allow ki abilities but not flight through the same means. As if it pick and chose what it wanted to allow. "It's almost like it wants us to stay, huh? Or at least wants us to take the long way out, it's got to have another entrance somewhere" They just had to keep on going she figured. "Stay close, the further we go in the more likely we are to happen along bigger, more dangerous things then your new snake bud" Hopefully they wouldn't have to use those ki abilities but it was good to know they at least still worked if it came down to it.
"That's right, you're an expert with that poison stuff so no worries then, besides I'm not really thirsty right now anyway"its still kinda gross to think about where the water has been and maybe it's poisoned or maybe not, either way they were going to be cautious about it should they ever come to it.
His friend is sure the magic is aiding to ease her pain for the time being, but would've preferred to be patched up before getting out of this hell hole of a trap. "I don't have anything to patch you up right now, so you'll have to bear with it until then" he hated to be the bearer of bad news for her condition but there isn't anything he can do about it, why couldn't the cave just magically give them something to tend to her wounds?
"Hold on, is the magic in here enhancing your abilities? Couldn't you conjure up some bandages for your wings until we get our stuff?" it was a mystery on why he didn't think of this sooner, as far as he knew there was nothing stopping her to use her powers, or maybe she is at the mercy of this cave, who knows. Morticia reminded him they shouldn't take the snake away from its home and as usual she is right. "Don't worry, I'm only bringing him along to keep me company before we go back, I'm gonna name him Slippy, what ya think Cia?" naming his newfound buddy and petting its head.
He's ears tuned in on Morticia's eagerness about the cave, explaining to Russé its just as fascinating as the creatures they saw, perhaps it has a mind of its own and wants them both to remain here for some reason, she also warned him to stay close and as things will be more dangerous than his snake he picked up going further into the cave. "Heh, I"m more afraid of dying from lack of food than worrying about anything more dangerous than Slippy" displaying confidence in his own durability and strong energy level, if a bullet couldn't penetrate his skin, he doubted a larger creature will inflict any damage to him.
