Kon generally didn't like festivals. While she used to like them as a child, mostly because of all the attractions and fun there, it was something that she just outgrew. Large gatherings of people weren't generally something she liked to participate in unless it was a tournament. Yet even now she was reluctant to do something like that. When she had caught word that a town that she was heading to had a festival, she had considered skipping it and moving on to the next one. However, that was before she heard it was a food festival. It was to celebrate foods and culinary cuisines from all parts of Earth. Best of all, most of the food there was free. Considering the last time she had something that she could even consider as a real meal was the one made by the genie, Kon wasn't going to miss out on this opportunity.
This time, she made sure that she didn't like a wandering homeless, stealing a new outfit to look somewhat presentable. Immediately her mouth watered as she looked at some of the foods that were on display. Noodles, rice dishes, various plasters of roasted meat and vegetables, giant pots of soup and all the desserts she could imagine were being displayed. While the fancier fare had a steep price tag on them, the food on the cheaper side of the spectrum were free. Which was heaven for her. Kon couldn't help but notice that a good amount of the people here also appeared to be homeless just like her. They couldn't resist something like this too. Ultimately, after walking around, wondering where to start, she had decided to settle for something simple: a small soup stall which was giving out free cups of soup. While these cups were by no means big, it was still just one of many different dishes to try. Snagging a bowl of what appeared to be some sort of cream soup, Kon took a quick sip before immediately melting from elation. It was delicious.
Before long, she had found her cup emptied to her sadness. However, there were still dozens of other stalls that she had yet to explore, plus she had even heard that there was a pie eating contest. Perhaps she would enter in that later. For now though, Kon would simply enjoy herself among the fair. When was the next time she would even be able to enjoy herself?

If one were to ask Paige why she didn't indulge in the consumption of foodstuffs, she wouldn't particularly have an answer. The truth, though, was rooted in the back of her mind - only the important Shinjin spent leisure time eating in Otherworld, and even now on Earth her natural submissiveness to her former masters was strong. To eat so casually, even when disguised, felt... off. Not that disliked the sensation, but unless directly insisted upon the 'human' Paige would much rather not eat. Which made her very presence at a food festival all the more ironic.
Tugging on the bottom of her sweater nervously, the lesser Kai weaved through the crowds of humans in a quick manner - sliding to and fro while also making sure to soak in as much as she could. Yes, indeed, her only real reason for coming was of course observation. Thorough to a fault, Paige would make an effort to attend every event she possibly could - all for the sake of filling out her notes. Even so, this many people all closely packed together made her just a tad... eager to find some breathing space.
And so, in her haste to relieve herself from the clump of people, Paige's best efforts could not prevent her from falling for one of the classic blunders - bumping into somebody while she walked. Whether the person felt it or not was a different story, but regardless of impact the action itself was much more important. Stumbling only slightly, the disguised Kai wheeled around, quickly bowing slightly in shame. "My apologies! Carelessness has caused me to interrupt you and for that, I hope you can forgive me."

[Thread PL: 2,500] [Anti-sense active]
After a few days wandering the Earth, rather lonely and pointless, the Ancient One would have finally came across a problem that was worth paying attention to it immediately… and much ironic to him, this problem was simple hunger. This was totally new to him, as his species has a very low need for anything, and he always had plenty to eat back home, but after a few days without knowing what could be consumed around here, he was starting to feel the pain in his stomach. Levitating around, looking for a cue as to what he could eat and wouldn’t cause something to make his situation worst, Vangreth caugh a scent that aroused his culinary senses. Although the scent was totally new to him, it was like his whole body reacted by telling him that it NEEDED that in the shortest time possible, and so without further wandering, Vangreth went from casual levitating to straight up flying toward the source of that scent.
Though he had tried to avoid large amount of lifeforms, when Vangreth noticed that the scent was coming from exactly that, his hunger actually overcame his fear of this new, overwhelming interactions he could experience from going there. With a second of hesitation, Vangreth landed near the festival and began making his way through the people, turning a lot of gazes in his wake, as people had never seen something like him, but it appeared that much more had happened to the people of this planet, enough so not to panic or have reactions out of proportions when they seen something completely new and unknown. There was, outside of the mass of people around, something that was slightly bothering Vangreth, something that was near him, and seemed to naturally make him worried for his safety.
When the man arrived at the stand where the scent was coming, he was surprised to see an elderly Earthling handing him a cup full of the thing before he even had something to say.
‘’ There there, I can see on your face young man, that you are hungry. We’re always happy to see strangers around here. ‘’ The frail, old lady said in a very gentle voice, harmed by years of wisdom. Even though he was much older than she could ever be, he felt that aura she had.
‘’ T-thanks… ‘’ Is all he managed to say as he he began to drink some of the soup, surprised by it’s tasteful nature and surprising constitution. Even with only half the cup, he would have been full enough to last for days again, but to his surprise, he began to consume it more.
At this moment, his senses, or more accurately his instinct, picked up something, and he turned his gaze to see two Earthling’s colliding, one of which he had already met before. And the other… the other seemed… while she looked like a typical Earthling, Vangreth’s sense seemed to go full ‘Alert’ mode just by looking at her. With a quick verification using his ki-sensing, he didn’t manage to understand what was so curious about this person, she had a very low power… but… his blood was boiling just to look at her.
And meanwhile, it would just appear like he was staring at her, and would look very strange from afar.

Suri's love for food was quite obvious, and she made little effort to hide it. She often made food with her magic, and she often had outings where she just went around trying out all sorts of food from different locations around the planet. Today was another day like that, Suri had flown from home after hearing about this food festival. One notable thing about this particular festival, though, was the fact that they were giving out FREE FOOD!! Suri's eyes glowed with anticipation when she first got here and looked around. She wasn't in poverty, but she was one to save money whenever she could, since she didn't earn money herself and all.
And soon, Suri had been going around eating food from here and there in the festival. The Majin ate some meat off of a stick while holding cream bread, which she took a bite out of right after. "Mmm!" Then she spotted the stand giving out soup, and headed there to get some to drink. Suri would hold the meat-on-a-stick with one hand and the cup of soup with the other, while holding the soon-to-be-eaten-bread with her mouth.
Her focus completely on the food she was eating, Suri failed to notice the occurances happening near her, and it was only after she had gotten her soup when she noticed the man behind her. His strange appearance caught Suri's eyes at first, but she then noticed he was looking at something, and her attention switched to that instead. Suri looked at where he was looking, and she saw two people who seemed to have bumped into each other. "Mmh mh." Oh, right, the bread. Suri ate up the bread she had in her mouth, gulped up her cup of soup to help it go down, then tried again. "...Uh oh. I hope they're okay..." Unintentionally staring together with the man next to her, Suri took another bite from her meat-on-a-stick.

As she was looking around at the other stalls, Kon wouldn't notice herself when another stranger had bumped into her. The person, a human, would apologize for her blunder which Kon shook her head towards. "It's whatever, at least I wasn't holding anything." She wasn't going to make a scene for someone walking into her. She gave the human a slight chuckle, "Distracted with all the tasty foods here as well?" She mused, eyes doing another look around the festival again. "It's like they have everything here." The hybrid was in an incredibly good mood, having been able to finally taste something with seasoning and that didn't come from a trash can for the first time in forever.
As Kon idly began to scan around, trying tot take in some of the other stalls there were. The words itself made her mouth water. Pie, pasta, barbeque, Vangreth, cake... Wait what? Her attention quickly turned towards the familiar alien face that appeared to be staring at her. What was she supposed to do now? Their last meeting had ended rather awkwardly, with him appearing rather sad at her reaction towards him. Well, she did promise him that she would be a bit more friendly now that she wasn't busy and they were in an incredibly populated area. She might as well keep her promise. "I did not expect to see you here, Vangreth." Kon said aloud, calling to the alien. Her voice did try to seem a bit more friendly, although there was a sense of nervousness behind it that she wouldn't be able to hide. "Has Earth treated you well at all?"
She simply wasn't sure of what to say aside from that. As she was looking at Vangreth's direction, Kon caught a sight of an unmistakable race. A majin. Sure, she had seen a few majins throughout the months but it didn't make her react any differently the few times she saw them. Immediately, her body would freeze and for a moment its blue skin turned white. Her antennas that were styled into a bob quickly changed for a moment to resemble a familiar style. For a moment, Kon only saw Bloom standing there, the same way she did on that day of the tournament. The friend that she no longer had. Her body tensed and froze up, and without even thinking her eyes began to water. Even if Kon was aware that this majin she saw wasn't Bloom, she still couldn't help but reminded of her, especially with her boisterous appetite. It was just a painful memory that she couldn't suppress, one that would haunt her for a long time. She stood there, frozen and unable to react as she stared at the majin.

"N-no, I don't know how much that jacket cost..." Paige mumbled uncertainly, flinching when the human raised their voice even more - drawing a larger crowd than what had already been watching the two of them. Internally, the Shinjin was writhing in embarrassment and shame, the extraordinary amount of people not helping much in that regard. If she was physically able to do so, Paige's face would be one giant blush right about now. "I already apologized...! You-" And then he insulted her own clothing. "That's very rude. If I were you, I wouldn't have worn such an important piece of clothing to a public food festival such as this!"
"Huh?" That seemed to make the man even angrier, his face a scarlet shade as spittle flew everywhere. "No... I already gave you the proper cost for cleaning. I shan't buy you an entire new piece of clothing over a mistake like this." She wasn't even the one who had been carrying the food... he was! "It's not even my fault that you carried something around that could specifically stain that particular shade on your person." And then he grabbed her by the arm. "H-hey! You can't do that! ...What do you mean 'police'? I've done nothing wrong that warrants the arrival of law enforcement!"
"You... terrible person!" Spoken with the same cadence that another would levy a deep insult with, Paige took a swing with her free arm - momentarily forgetting her power as the man was clocked clean upside the head, causing him to fall over with a heavy *thump!* and for her to be released. Realizing what she did, Paige glanced around. "Uhhhh..."
Luckily, it seemed most people thought the guy had gone too far do, either clapping, whistling, or pretending like they never saw it to begin with. Rubbing the back of her head, Paige attempted to slink away to the booths and out of the open. Which was when she noticed that a pair of people were staring directly at her. Were they... disapproving of her conflict resolution!? Well, she was too, but...

The situation was evolving a bit to Vangreth’s surprise, there was a bunch of people that seemed to be gathering around this situation, and he could pick a few people from the masses by different means! Perhaps they were, like him, not of this world? Or maybe it was just that he resonated better with some people? These questions where kind of going nowhere, so he decided to abandon them for now and just enjoy the festivity that had seemed to be going for quite a while now. He noticed a cotton candy bar, and while looking at it, he noticed that again, someone was handing some to him, held by a cone. The Ancient One took it and nodded the man that had gifted him this strange food.
While he was trying to figure out how he was going to eat that strange cloud-like candy he was given, he heard a voice coming from… well… that was not an Earthling like he had seen before for sure! For a moment, he eyed the Majin up and down, and even went ahead and used his ki-sensing to size that being up, and his eyes widened as he felt a very high power level… another one… this planet was surely filled with so much strong beings, he was starting to feel like his progress was not much of a deal around here. ‘’ I hope so too… I wouldn’t want to see the festivities ruined because of a bit of negativity…’’ He would answer, naturally just getting away from the front of the stands and closer to the blue Majin.
It didn’t take a long time for Vangreth to notice that Kon, the female Saiyan he had met a few days prior, had seen him and was getting closer! He tried to look away for a moment, as he didn’t want her to believe he was following her or something, especially with the temper she had last time, and the rather obvious ways she was telling him off. When he heard her voice though, he looked back at her and seemed… well… a bit happy that she didn’t question how he was there.
‘’ Y-yeah, actually. I’ve been exploring it, and found some people that were pretty nice! I think there is much more to this place than I initially thought, so I’m analyzing one thing at a time. How goes your… beeping device?’’ He finally said, kind of referring to her dragon radar that he had noticed last time, and seemed to be important to her.
The noise of someone falling on the ground was heard, and Vangreth realized that… well… the Earthling he had such a strange feeling on had vanished! And there was way too many people for him to see the man that had fallen, so he decided it was probably better to not interfere in that particular situation, and kind of glanced back at his cotton candy, ready to finally attack that prey he had been carrying for a bit! He attempted to bite it, simple as that, and ended up putting cotton candy around his mouth more than in it, but he got a taste of it and his eyes brightened a bit from the experience.
‘’ Uh!’’ He exclaimed, surprised by the taste of the strange matter.

Well, it looked like a lot of people were bumping into each other, which was sort of inevitable in a crowded festival such as this one. One person Suri noticed was kind enough to forgive the person that bumped into her, while another one was...not so forgiving.
A man and a woman had bumped into each other, which led to the former being a bit overly angry at the latter, which was the main thing Suri was worried about. She wasn't alone in this, kind of. The silver-haired man next to her expressed his concerns about the festivities being disturbed. "I'm more worried about this turning violent..." Suri decided that maybe she would step in if things got out of hand.
Then the stranger's acquaintance approached. It was the girl that didn't mind when someone bumped into her! In any case, Suri moved to the side a little to give them space. Suri noticed that the orange-haired girl was acting a bit...strange. Something about the way the girl looked at Suri... The Majin didn't have a clue as to what it was. Was Suri's presense disturbing? She hoped she didn't do anything wrong...
That worry lingered in Suri's mind as she shifted her attention back to something she had been worried about earlier; the two Earthlings' situation of bumping into each other, which had still not been resolved. Suri worried that the situation would turn violent, especially once the angry one grabbed the other's arm. Suri's eyes widened, and she started walking towards them.
Then she stopped. "...Huh." He was surprisingly weak, and he was accidentally knocked out with a swing of an arm that, to Suri, seemed to have barely any strength put into it. Suri let out a sigh of relief, relieved that both parties survived in the end. With that, Suri turned back. She would stand there for a bit, and if nothing else happened, maybe she would go back to eating more food. For now, Suri finished the meat-on-a-stick she was holding, and disposed of the stick that remained afterwards with a tiny, quiet pink explosion of ki, which was barely noticable if you weren't looking directly at her.

Well it did make sense that Vangreth was drawn to places where there was a lot of people. A food festival definitely one of those places. "Well, I hope you have fun here at least," Kon said. She didn't particularly want to bother him on his little hunting experiment that he had. But out of nowhere, he would reference the radar that she had the other day to her surprise. "Oh yeah, that. It's doing well, thanks for asking." She said with a nervous chuckle. Silently, she moved to check the back pocket of her pants where she kept it hidden. It wasn't something that she wanted people to know about that she had. As a result, Kon quickly did her best to change the topic so they were no longer talking about the giant beeping device that he was referring to. "Cotton candy is nice, a bit sweet for my taste but it looks pretty." She said, referring to the fluffy confection that he held, doing her best to hold back her laugh after seeing him take a bite.
Something had managed to bring her out of the surprised state she was in to her relief, as some sort of alteration began when an Earthling walked into a man. It was a sound distraction from this odd predicament that Kon had found herself in at least. She much preferred to be a bystander over than involved in any awkward situation that she might have found herself in if she had stood there and continued to stared. Suddenly, out of nowhere, as the fight began to get more and more heated the Earthling just clocked him and he fell down unconscious. Kon was most definitely not one of those clapping for the scene, but rather stood there gawking at the strength of the human. Well, that certainly was not expected. Silently, she watched as the Earthling slipped away from the scene into the eyes of two watchful bystanders.
As she turned her head right back, Kon found herself staring right at the majin that she had saw again earlier. This time, she had found her disposing of the wooden skewer of the meat dish that she was enjoying earlier. One thing that Kon simply couldn't ignore was the color of her ki, the same shade that Bloom had. At this point, she simply couldn't stop herself. Sure it was rude, but she had to find closure at this point. "Bloom?" She called out towards the majin tentatively. "Is that you Bloom?" She was already sure that the majin that she saw wasn't her former friend, but still she just wanted to hear it. The guilt that she felt from the fight was simply too great for her to keep inside of her.

Paige forged on aimlessly, slipping and squeezing between the crowds of people as she got as far away from the site of her accident as possible. It wasn't out of fear that she had done wrong, but rather immense mortification that she fled. Drawing attention to herself was one of the main things she did not want to do while disguised, and what does she go and do? Knock some poor guy out with a single blow. It wouldn't have been too odd, except Paige wasn't built like a martial artist. She looked like a scrawny high-end teenager.
Sighing one last time, she finally stumbled out of the main festival grounds and unto the surrounding area. Though the regret was palpable, the Shinjin had decided on simply leaving. There'd always be another festival elsewhere, and what with the stares she'd attracted and the certain row of higher-power people that had also been looking, a single mistake could unravel everything she had worked so hard for up to this point. Yes... it'd be better to just 'bite the bullet' (an odd term) and quit while she was ahead.
Thus, she turned her back on the food-based gathering of people, walking far far away before eventually fading out of sight with a Kai-Kai to parts unknown. Perhaps some day she'd be able to enjoy a festival, but that day was not today.

The Ancient One, still grabbing unto his cotton candy stick, felt a slight distortion for a second through his ki-sensing ability, although he did not worry much more than that; there was a few really strong people around here, and there was really no danger with that small amount of energy popping. He needed to calm down about these kind of event, he was used to everything having large impact, and so, he would notice small changes like that very accurately, traces of his past on his world, where there was barely any signature, and any spike would mean conflict.
He would turn back his attention to Kon, the saiyan who seemed to be very embarrassed for a moment there, when he mentioned the beeping thing; perhaps that was something Earthlings didn’t want to share? Something personal? Figuring that, he wouldn’t ask further question about it. If people found the ancient one scary at first, his child-like expression with big, curious eyes and innocent little smile with cotton candy would make him look a lot closer to ridiculous in the state he currently was. He looked down at his threat and nodded.
‘’ It’s pretty good, but it is a little hard to eat. But the reward is good enough. Perhaps that man over there could have some, it would help him relax a b…’’
The Ancient One said that, he saw the man had been knocked down, and the female that was with him was now nowhere to be seen; what a peculiar scene! Vangreth searched for a moment with his Ki-sensing, surely someone able to defeat so easily another Earthling must have SOME sort of Ki-Signature, but nothing he could feel… perhaps… just perhaps… that person was not an Earthling, and had the ability to conceal their signature like Vangreth’s species could.
Vangreth then stood aside as Kon reached for the Blue Earthling, seemingly in distress; he could hear in her voice that something was wrong, and would observe what was about to happen; getting involved without context would not be very wise, and as such, he stepped back from the Majin, but made sure he could still see her.

With her focus directed away from the surprisingly strong Earthling, and her back turned to her, it was hard for Suri to notice said Earthling slip out of the festival and disappear. Impossible, actually.
The orange haired...oh, Saiyan, Suri hadn't noticed her tail. The Saiyan, she...Bloom? Did she just say Bloom? ...Yeah, and she said it again. Suri recognized that name in a heartbeat, and at first she looked around to see if the white Majin was here.
Suri's relationship with Bloom was a strange one. At first, Suri met Bloom while she was firing off ki blasts down at the streets, which made Suri think she was a completely bad person, but then, surprisingly, Bloom saved Suri from being pulverized by another person's attack... And then Bloom was on TV recently, as a member of the stargoons, which surprised Suri once again. Suri couldn't help herself from being curious about this Majin and her confusing actions. Was Bloom evil? Truely evil? Suri thought that finding Bloom and asking her directly would help her decide in her head, what 'good' and 'evil' was.
But as much as she looked, Suri couldn't find Bloom, or any Majins nearby, other than herself... "Wait, me?" Suri questioned, her eyes widened. Did this person mistake Suri as Bloom? She couldn't see that happening, not with her looks being completely different from the other Majin. "No, I'm not..." Suri stumbled a bit with her words, a bit hesitant to tell her 'no' for some reason. Eventually, Suri shook her head, approached Kon, and told her; "...I'm not Bloom. Sorry..." Still, who was this person? She knew Bloom. Was she her friend? Suri had to ask... "Are you...a friend of Bloom? Do you know where she is? What is she doing nowadays?" Hopefully not the same thing she was doing when Suri met her.

Well if Vangreth was really what he said he was, he must be new to Earth food. If she was an alien herself, Kon would also find the concept of cotton candy to be odd as well: a fluffy substance where with a bite it would immediately dissolve into sugary sweetness in your mouth. She wasn't the largest fan of cotton candy herself, it was sometimes fun to eat. Well if he was enjoying himself and trying new experiences, it wasn't Kon's place to say anything about it. She was glad that he was adapting to Earth, and hopefully he could make some other friends that suited him.
The majin's words brought her out of her trance-like state. The white turned blue and that single antennae on her head turned into many. It finally hit Kon again who she was looking at. Bloom was gone now, she was probably somewhere around the world or maybe even universe, but right here wasn't Bloom it was some other random majin. While Kon did feel a wave of embarrassment roll over here, she also felt odd. Relieved in a sense. Was she really happy to learn that this wasn't her former best friend? It stung to speak of her with the past tense as a friend still, but ultimately Kon was better off on her own path. When the majin asked if she was a friend of Bloom's she honestly had no idea how to respond. The obvious answer was a resounding no, but she was just so conflicted whether she considered Bloom as a friend or not still. Or rather, if she had ever considered her as one.
Taking a deep breath, Kon simply shook her head. "No, never." She said with a cold tone. It was painful, but it was easier to act as if they were never friends before. Maybe then it would let the pain die down enough. "I haven't spoken to her in over half a year, how would I know." She said with a shrug. Her demeanor was no longer wistful but rather harsh and cold. "Probably living a good life or something don't know or care." She was most likely living a much better life than her, with friends or family that cared dearly about her. Good for her then. While her conflicting emotions still ran rampant in her mind, Kon decided to try and squash them by trying to convince herself that she was never really her friend. Things would always be easier that way.

It seemed like the situation was devolving into something that would be rather confusing for Vangreth, especially since he didn’t have the context of who Bloom was, and what that person meant to Kon, alongside what she looked like, although he would figure she would look kind of like Suri, since Kon was visibly mystaking her for that other person… and seeing how the blue Majin was rejecting the identification, then perhaps this situation would devolve into something else. Curious enough to wait and see how it would go down, Vangreth would stay relatively close to the whole thing, making sure to have an overall view of the two female while he slowly and certainly wrongly ate his cotton candy.
The words that Kon were speaking… now that was much more similar to what he knew of her when they met prior to this instance… it seemed like her cold and very straight foward personality had returned, perhaps she was being nice to Vangreth only as a facade? Now that would make a lot of sense to the Muko-jin. But that also meant that this whole conversation woudn’t hold much more information or things Vangreth would learn from, so he would simply step toward Kon.
Vangreth re-avised himself, in her current state, she probably didn’t want him to talk to her, and even he could see that, so it was probably even worst than he thought. With no further hesitation, he would turn his back to the conversation and go back to the crowd and to test more food, still a bit curious about how this thing would end up, but it certainly was none of his buisiness and he wouldn’t stick around to find out.

Kon denied her friendship with Bloom, to the point of adding a 'never' to her 'no'. "Oh...never." Suri didn't expect that at all. The orange-haired girl did know Bloom, though, but it seemed like their relationship was far from friendly, because as soon as she spoke about the white Majin, her demeanor changed to what Suri would describe as 'hostile'. "I-I'm sorry, I assumed you two were...friends..." The thought was now being purged from the blue Majin's mind as she spoke.
Her focus now set on the Saiyan, it was difficult for Suri to notice another person next to them, begin to walk away.
Suri barely knew Bloom, and the most significant recent memory she had about the girl was the moment she saved Suri. So, Suri was on...normal terms with Bloom? Kon, on the other hand, seemed to be on bad terms with Bloom, though Suri wasn't fully sure of that, and she asked, "So, I'm guessing you're on bad terms with her...? I'm sorry if I brought up any bad memories, or something."
Up until now, Suri's expression was dark and apologetic, but it lit up when she had an idea. "Maybe I could make it up to you? How about I buy you some food, or a drink, or..." ...wait, the food was free. Well, most of it was, except for the fancier few. "Er, how does that sound?" Suri asked.
Perhaps Suri could make this girl feel better, and also, socialize a little, maybe? She had to admit, it was a bit lonely wandering the festival alone, even if there was a huge crowd around her.
