The assembled had been gathered from across Namek. Sitting around the circular stonework of Guru’s new Home, four dozen of the greatest and brightest of the Warrior Caste had been gathered for a special presentation and showing of martial potential as dictated by their Guru – Oboe of Oros. The demonstration had been planned for weeks but it wasn’t until Oboe had returned to Namek that the Saiyans had been offered their invitations. He’d sent word to Ms. Nashua and Tarch to join him at his home to maybe show the Warriors of his people the true martial strength of the off-worlders.
He’d hoped such things would be a welcome learning experience, showing off the martial force and styles of the Saiyans could go a long way in improving his own people’s ability to defend themselves. He had known their style first hand through training with Ochra, but never once had he thought to test one his own against the might of an offworlder directly. As there were few planetside that could withstand such a task, Oboe had volunteered himself as a showman of Namek’s own martial arts and styles. The exchange of information should prove to be fruitful to both himself and the Saiyans as he too was still struggling with new power.
The sudden fusion with his Guardian, Steno, had left the Guru of Namek a bit unbalanced. He could feel the tremendous power within himself but couldn’t quite find the means to access it. While Steno’s presence was clearly felt by the Guru of Namek, it was a different task entirely to tap into the unique powers and abilities his former had granted him. Still, he’d hoped that through a small friendly bout that such things could be rectified. It wasn’t every day, after all, the A Saiyan fought a Namekian.
“Alright my Brothers – They should be here soon. I expect each and every one of you to behave and to take notes on what you see. It is important that we learn as much from the Saiyans as they do from ourselves. This should be a momentous occasion as its very Rare that our two peoples come to exchange blows.”
The Guru offered each of his brothers a hearty smile and nodded with them in agreement. Now, all there was to do was wait and see what sort of tricks and tips the Saiyans had to offer.

Doing a training exposition for the people of Namek was... Something new, Nashua supposed. She'd never been considered a good enough fighter for most of her life to do anything of the sort back on Vegeta, but things had sure changed in the last year and a half. Now, she was, as far as she knew, the most powerful Saiyan alive, and it was certainly a big shoe to fill on her own after so many years of her power level being in the double digits. She'd grown used to the massive difference in strength, though, and was more than happy to try and provide some sort of help to get the Namekians more attuned to defending themselves from the rest of the galaxy. After all, with the Dragon Balls being practically an evil overlord magnet with their wish granting abilities, these green guys could have used pretty much all the help that she could offer them.
"I'm here!" she exclaimed as she quickly touched down on the ground a few meters away from where Oboe stood. She hadn't meant to be running late, but it was rather hard to tell what time it was on Namek without a clock, giving how they had three nearly identical suns that kept the sky the same color all day and all night long. As she started out into the crowd of expectant Namekians, Nashua felt herself gulp some saliva down her throat. Public speaking wasn't her forte, nor was it something she'd ever had to do much of before. Especially not to a whole bunch of people who were probably still kind of annoyed with all the drama that had been caused by the last Dragon Ball hunt. At least this one had been going more smoothly so far, right?
"Um... Hello, everyone," she started, giving the Namekians a wave. "Uh... I may not look like much, but yes, I am, uh, the most powerful Saiyan in the galaxy. ...As far as I know. Er, I probably don't seem like it right now, so," Nashua paused for a moment and took a deep breath - it only took a few seconds before her ki flared up tremendously, and her dark brown hair turned a bright golden that shone with a fierce amount of power behind it. "This is called a Super Saiyan," Nashua continued, "And as I am right now, I'm powerful enough to destroy this entire planet while using barely over a third of my full strength. This is the kind of power that's out there in the galaxy that could potentially threaten you all, and the kind of power that you're going to need to be prepared to fight against." She glanced over at Oboe, and asked, "Do you all need a demonstration of that power, then?"

Tarch PL: 150,000 Energy Setting: 20,000
This was confusing. Tarch had never in his entire life as a fighter used his power and abilities to put on a show. So being invited to a sort of training and demonstration show for the people of Namek was bizarre. Was he really all that great? Sure he was a super saiyan, but he was probably the weakest of the bunch. Nashua made sense. She was the strongest person he ever met. But his own strength was hardly what he worried about the most. There was something far worse lingering on the teen’s mind.
If the people of Namek need this training, does that mean there’s going to be another war?
That was what drove Tarch away in the first place. He could remember a time not too long ago he was actually begging his father to let him go. Then it broke him. But he did recover. At what cost? Tarch shook his head clear. He couldn’t let himself get wrapped up in his own head. Those kinds of thoughts were the ones that held him back from mastering his super saiyan form. If nothing else that’s what this could be about. Teaching himself and the people of Namek. Learning was always important! Heck, Tarch wouldn’t mind being a teacher when he grows up. But for now, he is to both teach and be taught. The bright side to all of this was that his injuries were coming along nicely so they wouldn’t hinder him too much.
Finding the village wasn’t too difficult. All he had to do was sense out the largest power level on the planet. Tarch had arrived just in time to see Nashua give her introduction and transform. Yep, it was still cool to see on the outside. He did shudder slightly when she explained she could destroy the entire planet with a little over a third of her power. What was scarier was knowing he had that same power in himself. She then asked if anyone wanted a demonstration.
“Y-yeah, I do!” Tarch cut in through the crowd, giving small apologies as he made his way over to both Oboe and Nashua. “Uhh, h-hi,” he said with a wave, “I’m a little late, but uh, I-I’m T-tarch and umm...” Now everyone knows that this is a pretty shy saiyan, but this was ridiculous. The combined worries of possible war and public speaking turned the poor kid into a stuttering mess. “I’m not r-really s-sure i-if I’m here to show o-off or to uh… to watch like y-you guys. But I am a super saiyan too! I can… I mean if you want I… Y’know I think I’m just going to… yeah…”
Tarch took in a deep breath before letting his power at least try and flow out. Indeed his power did raise, but there was just way too much on his mind to allow him to transform on command. Now there were three things on his mind. Stage freight, Namek war, and losing control. This, in turn, led to yet another thing, though much less important. Looking like a complete idiot in front of all these Namekians.
The teen gave Nashua and Oboe and apologetic look. “S-sorry. I’m still not great at doing it on my own. I uh… I guess you can start without me? I think I just need a minute to clear my head... S’cuse me.” Tarch quickly asked one of the onlookers if he had some water. He was directed to a large jug in nearby, which he quickly splashed himself with a small handful and drank another. Hopefully, his two friends wouldn’t be too upset with them. Though he could see them forcing him to participate regardless.

Oboe smiled as Nashua arrived, his head inclining in greeting as the rest of his brothers followed suit with their own motions of respect. To many, the pale skinned alien didn’t seem too intimidating leading most of the Namekian Warriors to consider the possibility that their Guru may have had a bit too high an opinion of the offworlders and their power. The woman, as she spoke seemed a bit cautious and all the more nervous to be speaking before the group. A few of the more inexperienced and youthful of Warrior’s began to chuckle and talk amongst themselves in jest.
“Is she really the most powerful of the off-worlders? She looks like a total cupcake.”
“Yeah, there’s no way she could take on any of the Warriors here – lest of all me! This is ridiculous, Guru clearly lost his marbles he-“
Suddenly the air changed around the gathered as a soft darkness overtook the land. In Stark contrast, Nashua began to glow with a preternatural golden hue; A pressure overtook each of those whom had assembled and each shuddered in turn. Now they could understand why Guru had deemed it necessary for them to witness this sort of power first hand. How could they ever hope to stand before something of this magnitude?! The sheer audacity of its existence was contrary to everything they ever knew!
Oboe smiled and nodded in appreciation as Nashua showed no hesitation achieving her strongest state. He knew that her appearance would cause most of his brothers to let their guard down in disbelief, but seeing her strength first hand? Witnessing the terrifying might of the Saiyans fighting power? It was needed. They had to see what was potentially out there, potentially waiting to launch an attack on them. Waiting to bring trouble to their world.
There was no doubt in his mind when she announced that in her current state, she could clearly obliterate their homeworld. That was no jest – Oboe’s ability to sense energy and at the level in which he could confirmed her statement long ago. It was this – possibly – more than anything else that had caused his former Guardian, Steno, to bless him with his his prodigious power so that together they may stand even a remote chance should someone such as Nashua – yet evil – ever rear their ugly head.
As she asked if there would be a demonstration required, Oboe would smile and begin to exclaim that he would very much like to see such and that he would volunteer when a familiar childish tone came from the crowd.
“Y-yeah, I do!”
Ever late yet more struck by the nerves he was showing then anything else, Tarch approached the platform that had been constructed with a slight hesitance in his step. He seemed awkward and unsure of himself which was made more and more apparent as he stuttered out responses. He wasn’t sure if this was a game or if this was a classroom, yet when he declared that he too could turn Super Saiyan the crowd grew restless.
“What? A child can do that?! What Madness is this?!”
“If that’s true what about the other races? Those out there that aren’t friendly like these two?! Have we really been hiding for so long that we couldn’t of dreamt of such things?!”
Watching with great vested interest the Namekian Warriors felt as Tarch’s power began to rise higher and higher, yet – the promise of a Super Saiyan never came and as if by one breath, the Namekians relaxed as if relieved that such a thing wasn’t quite true. Atleast…they didn’t think so as of yet. Oboe could understand that the boy was still young and inexperienced; After all his mother had only passed away recently during an extremely traumatic battle on Earth. He was bound to be a bit shaky.
Wanting to relax the tension a bit, Oboe tapped his staff on the ground gaining the attention of all those gathered. Clearing his throat, he spoke calmly and plainly – expressing that he would be the one to help demonstrate the powers of the Super Saiyan.
“If it’s alright with all those gathered; I think I’ll take up the roll of practice dummy if you would. I’m curious myself, if you don’t mind, as to the true might of this legendary form of yours. I think in experiencing it first hand – I may begin to understand my own limitations…and my own strengths.” Smiling warmly at Nashua he realized the perfect solution to the problem at hand!
“Tarch! If you wouldn’t mind, perhaps you could assist me? While I’m sure I’m capable of defending myself – I don’t quite think I could handle the role on my own. Perhaps you could assist me? Together I think we’d help provide a more through example?” Oboe had realized that perhaps in such an offer, Tarch would be able to relax and equally join the demonstration. In doing so, perhaps he’d better learn to tap into those golden hued powers that Nashua could.
“If that’s alright with you Ms. Nashua?”

ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: Mastered Super Saiyan (x16P) |
The woes and worries of the Namekians before her that she 'wasn't up to snuff' were quickly silenced when Nashua's Super Saiyan form was activated, which came as a relief to her. If they weren't impressed by this, then she wasn't so sure what she could do more, short of trying that Ultra Super Saiyan thing, but she didn't like using it quite so much. She felt too bulky and slow. And her armor pinched too tightly against her muscles. Oboe seemed pleased with her current show of force, though, and all the naysayers were now silent. Well, except one voice that rang from the crowd, though this one was much more high pitched than the previous ones. "Tarch?" Nashua expressed in surprise as she saw they young hybrid make his way through the crowd and up onto the little stage before the green audience. What was he doing here?
He seemed... Flustered, to say the least. Almost as soon as he'd begun speaking, he needed a break, which was fine, of course. Though the idea of him going Super Saiyan around all these weaker civilians did worry Nashua, even if she knew he'd never intentionally harm any of them. Though what he'd intend to do and what he might actually do could be two very different things if his emotions got the better of him. "Uh, yes, that sounds like a good idea," Nashua replied to Oboe as he requested a demonstration of power. And Tarch and Oboe working together should have been enough to both provide a good demonstration for the people of Namek, as well as giving Nashua a proper opportunity to hone her skills. Oboe's power level, though, was quite low when she checked it. She'd need to hold back quite a bit to keep the Namekian conscious.
"Okay, well, I'm going to start out with a simple ki blast. This shouldn't knock you out, but chances are, it'll hurt a fair bit if not defended against, alright?" she spoke as if she were talking to the crowd, but it was really a thinly veiled warning for Oboe - if he didn't manage to properly defend himself from this, it was going to hurt. But she had control enough of her power that even if he took the full brunt of it, it'd not knock him out, and certainly not kill him. It'd just be quite painful. "Okay, here it comes," she declared as her palm outstretched and began to glow with a bright pink ki energy, before, after a few moments of build up, a surge of power rushed out from her hand in the form of a bright pink blast, which hurtled towards Oboe with tremendous speed and power that would likely have rivaled anything most of the Namekians had ever seen.

A quick drink, a splash to the face, and a few quick pats to the cheeks were enough to set Tarch right. For now at least. Who knew the once shy and timid preteen was now a full-blown teenager with an apparently crippling case of stage freight. To be fair he never really auditioned for the school plays for this exact reason. At least he was a better fighter than an actor. To that end, Mr. Oboe did invite him back over toward him to assist him… somehow. What exactly was he supposed to do? This situation was not one the hybrid was at all used to. Nashua wouldn’t be the only one confused by his presence here. Maybe he actually could do something here? If nothing else this should help him learn how to activate super saiyan at will.
Not that it mattered once Nashua started out by throwing a world-shaking ki blast at Oboe. Maybe he should just focus on getting his normal power out first? Now Tarch may not have ever had a scouter before, but he practiced, honed, and sharpened his sixth sense to a point that he could get a rough estimate even in possible numbers in terms of one’s power. If Oboe was about a ten, then Nashua ‘s attack was somewhere near nine hundred. Her energy absolutely dwarfed both his and the guru combined right now.
“W-wait hang on Nashua wait!” But in his current form, Tarch couldn’t even think quick enough let alone act in time to do anything about the attack heading straight for his fellow training dummy. An attack like that could flatten an entire army of Oboes, let alone one. He had to do something if he wanted to contribute. He would glance over to make sure Oboe was okay first. “Are uh, are you okay Mr. Oboe?” Though he couldn't be entirely sure, but that attack did seem rather lighter than it could have been. Plus it wasn't as if there was any malice in this little bout. “Come on Tarch, just focus!” he commanded himself.
The teen shut his eyes, standing in a completely neutral stance taking in slow steady breaths. His power did rise, but not to the mountainous levels Nashua’s did. Heck, his hair didn’t even change a shade lighter. Still, he felt a small surge of confidence. This was just for fun, and to teach others. What better reason was there to fight? His power and confidence surging, Tarch leaped in front of Nashua, giving her a wide but a little nervous smile.
“Alright then! I think I’m ready! Well, kind of,” ready would be super saiyan. Tarch may not have been great at tapping into his power, but he knew a good way to help him do it. “I think once I get warmed up I should be able to turn blonde. Or at least fight with my full regular power. Unless I should use Oozaru? Nah, too big and bulky for me anyway.” In his past battles, Tarch noticed that he always fought better once he got started. With this in mind, the young saiyan took up his vastly improved fighting stance. “Besides, I have no idea what I'm even supposed to do here. Just uh... Go easy on me at first?”

A Demonstration was what he’d asked for, and a demonstration of force was exactly what Nashua presented. In her Super Saiyan state, the golden-haired female possessed terrifying destructive force, swiftly demonstrated in the form of a very basic attack. The extremely powerful attack bore down on him with insane force causing a reaction he hadn’t anticipated. Fear. His present mind shifting back to the moment that the one known as Om-Yogu – at the time declaring himself Monster – had attacked him with the same ferocity and strength; the attack that had nearly ended the Guru of Namek’s life. The attack that had begun the sequence of events that had caused Typha’s death.
Push past the fear, Guru. You’re not alone this time – Show them. Show them your strength! Stop hiding it and use it!
The familiar voice of Steno, the Guardian whom had deemed it necessary to fuse with him in order to protect him, snapped Oboe back to reality as he threw his arms Infront of him projecting a hemisphere of energy. White smoke like energy began to seep out of the green pores of the Namekian Sage as his full power began to come to light. Ten-thousand, fifty-thousand, ninety-thousand; Higher and higher it rose as the attack finally came into contact with the field. With a mighty roar Oboe’s maximum power was slowly shown. Peaking beyond one-hundred and fifty thousand, the Namekians power suddenly tripled as his aura intensified into brilliant white-gold flames.
Gritting his teeth, his protective field of power sparked against the onslaught of power, as if it were going to push it back even a little. That was a fantasy however as even at his absolute strongest, his brothers were forced to watch as the strongest of them – their leader – was overtaken by this simple attack. Yelping with pain as the attack shattered through the protective half-dome. Searing force, not deadly, would slam into his defensive stance causing the empowered Namekian to fly backwards and slide to a stop next to Tarch.
Gritting his teeth, the pain was nearly too much to handle. How truly frightening that the pleasant, well mannered girl he’d met only six months ago could deal such terrifying damage. Even held back, the attack was well beyond anything he could’ve hoped to deal with. Still, she HAD held back, proving that there was still more to show. That very notion was even more frightening. Groaning, he made it back to his knee as the gathered Namekians all sighed with relief. There had been quite a stir in the gathered as the fear Oboe had just felt began to spread. Tarch’s voice cut through his thoughts and caused him to offer a weak smile.
“I-I’m fine Tarch; Ms. Nashua must’ve pulled her punch a bit. It’ll take a moment or two but I should be back on my feet shortly. Go ahead, I’ll be right behind you.” Oboe offered a weak platitude but he was sincere about joining him. Pained as he was, he wanted to go further. He couldn’t imagine that the disparity between the Saiyans and Namekians and their strengths could be so vast. There had to be a way to reach deeper – to grasp hold of a primal strength or something more…to obtain a power like theirs. If only…
Guru, I can see what you’re thinking…do you truly think you’re capable of accessing that? I know your father showed you once…and with my knowledge you were able to complete the technique…but…how can you be sure that it’ll even work? That you can even tap into it in the first place?
Namekians were a mysterious race of nomadic travelers. At one point in their history each and every one of their kind had once traveled the sea of stars in search of many things; spiritual enlightenment, knowledge, power, fortune. Each Namekian had gone off in search of something and had returned richer, or poorer, for the experience. When his father had returned from his travels he’d taught the younglings in his village the art of Gigun – The Way of Righteous Force. Though his fathers variant had always had a level of darkness to it – due to his mazoku heritage – there was something pure about the pursuit of peace through force.
It was these lessons that had defined him, allowed him to stand apart from the rest. He had mastered most of the school’s techniques and had even created a few of his own, but one had always eluded the Guru. A technique that his father had taught, but had never been able to utilize himself as it had always missed Something.
The Ryū Hadō…
The School of Gigun’s most secret and powerful of techniques; the Ryū Hadō – or – Dragon’s Surge, was the penultimate technique of the Oros Clan. Once declared an energy multiplier of the highest echelon of Namekian Society. It was said to possess the ability to enhance the users connection to Porugna and empower them with the might of Dragon so long as their Gigun (Righteous Force) was tempered. Since Vocado and Nashua’s demonstration of Super Saiyan, Oboe had diligently gone over each and every biut of information he could about the technique – but it wasn’t until the merger with Steno that he’d even begun to understand why his father could never utilize it.
Whether I’m up to it or not Steno – We’ll soon find out if it’s a myth or a truth. After all, I don’t believe the Saiyan will kill me. What better way to push ourselves then against Nashua? She is clearly the strongest being either of us had ever bore witness to. If confronting – even in a practice such as this – someone like her can’t help us obtain a greater strength? Then maybe our people truly cannot obtain anything higher. Let us find out what we can do together…My Guardian.
Slowly rising to his feet to the relief of his kin, Oboe would slowly approach Tarch’s side – his injuries still great, but his determination greater than the weight of his pain. Kneeling into a combat stance of his own he would look over at the lad and smile warmly. “We’ll do this together. I’ll support you, you support me. Show me some of that strength I felt all the way from earth and I’ll try my best to not slow you down…”

Well... Oboe had handled the attack, that was the important part. Nashua glanced around somewhat nervously at their audience, mostly for fear of them potentially thinking she'd just nearly murdered their planet's spiritual leader, although it seemed everyone was mostly just in awe of the display of power they'd just seen. They were only slightly afraid, to put it simply. Nashua could live with that. She stood and waited for Oboe to get back on his feet, her arms crossed in front of her while her expression remained neutral, though he golden tail swishing back and forth behind her may have betrayed her internal antsiness. That was about the weakest ki based attack she could muster as a Super Saiyan, so how was she supposed to escalate things without just flat out pulverizing both oboe and Tarch? Manually lowering her ki signature felt like it'd be cheating them out of the fight they'd been asking for.
"Then, if both of you together are fighting me, I suppose that should even things out a bit more," she stated, quickly giving the pair of them a quick scan. Oboe had managed to pump himself up to the mid four hundred thousands, which was probably powerful enough for him to be able to weather some blows and stay standing, but Tarch was all the way down below even a hundred thousand. Still, Nashua wasn't going to pressure him to push his power further - she was fairly certain once they got down to the fighting, he'd have little trouble managing to tap into some of his own Super Saiyan power. Nashua cracked her neck back and forth and flexed her fists a few times to loosen herself up a bit first. It'd been a hot minute since she'd actually been in any kind of fight, after all.
Now... How to approach this? Or, rather, how to approach this in a way that would still give Tarch and Oboe a way to counterattack, but also not make it blatantly obvious she was going easy on them? That was... Trickier. For starters, Oboe was the stronger of the two, so... "Well, ready or not..." Nashua stated before she went on the move. It was likely for the pair facing her that her speed was so great, she'd have simply seemed to have become invisible as she moved, and was almost absolutely invisible to the rest of the common Namekian warriors watching from the crowd. Tarch's ability to sense energy may have given him a slight edge, though, as Nashua wasn't quite moving at her top speed. Before long, she came to stop right behind the pair. "...Here I come." Her leg kicked up and spun around, either making contact with Oboe, or if he'd managed to evade, sending out a powerful shockwave through the air that would've had even the hardiest of Namekian warriors stumbling back on their feet.

So the Guru was okay. That was a major relief evidenced by Tarch’s light sigh. That meant he was still in this fight. What was even better was feeling Oboe’s power rising as he rejoined the brawl. While it was a good mile below what Nashua was currently putting out, it was about as strong as Tarch whenever he used his Oozaru form. Maybe he really should have used it. No. He had to master his super saiyan form first and foremost, and the great ape form would just be getting in the way at this point. Shaking his head, the teen refocused on the fight.
The question now was what to do? Tarch was completely dwarfed by these two. Really he was more concerned with getting in Oboe’s way. This sure was easier when he was paired with someone closer to his strength. In the time it took for him to even form any semblance of thought, Nashua was already on the offense, aiming to try and kick Oboe. Weak or not in his current state, Tarch was not going to let the super saiyan ignore him.
“Hey now!” he called, zipping to Nashua’s back, “Don’t forget about me!” Taunts aside, that was actually the hybrid’s hope. Tarch would hold out a hand, letting a blue sphere of energy form in his palm. He would then try and launch it dead center on Nashua’s back, placing his hand nearly flat against her. He figured that if Nashua was going to focus more on Oboe, he would be free to attack and slowly whittle her down. Then if and when she focused on him, he could use his own speed to evade and let the namekian get in a much heavier hit. Of course, as it stands Nashua was so fast Tarch could blink and she could have already moved, attacked, and retreated before he even opened his eyes again. Sure he could sense her but that did little good when she moved before he could think. Still he hoped his idea would work until he could activate his own super saiyan form.

Nashua’s decleration of approach did nothing to make it easier to anticipate her movements. Like a blur, she was there one minute and gone the next, nearly undetectable. If not for his mental prowess, as well as his ability to sense energies to the most finite degree, Oboe would’ve been once again assailed by a damaging attack. With instinct, not so much speed, empowered by his sensory abilities, Oboe was able to raise his staff up in time to intercept the powerful leg from impacting against him.
“Oof!” he grimaced as the block, though successful, was made nearly ineffective by her sheer power – the Namekian Guru sliding backwards more than a bit thanks to the force of the blow. He was still very much winded from the first attack that the Saiyan girl had launched at him – though he did seem to be slowly recovering.
As he was pushed aside, Tarch appeared behind Nashua attempting to deliver a powerful ki-blast towards her backside. However, even from his distance, Oboe could feel that Tarch’s power hadn’t quite rose to the occasion yet. In his current state? It was highly unlikely that the lad would be able to land a solid enough blow on the golden-haired warrior. It was one thing to feel this sort of pressure from a distance, but to experience it first-hand? To feel the blows numbing the muscles and the burning sensation of such powerful ki washing over oneself? That could only come from a firsthand experience.
Focus, Guru! I can only do so much in here by myself…the other part is you y’know…
Steno’s irritated tones echoing within his own mind snapped the Guru out of his reverie; The Guardian within was correct – he too had to continue focusing if he was going to achieve what he’d desired. Since his merging with his assigned protector – now a part of himself in both mind and spirit – Oboe had found himself periodically tapping into a power that he’d only thought to be a myth. Weeks of meditation however had proven that his father’s final art – the Ryu Hado – was truly attainable and not just a legend on parchment.
It was thanks to the blending of his Mazoku and Dragon DNA when introduced to the Warrior Caste’s unique nature. Without having an idea how to tap into this power, having only done so in bursts that led to his ability to continue living after such horrendous attacks from Yogu (Monster) and Fenrir, Oboe had theorized that it was the pressure of combat that would bring it out. While he’d asked Nashua and Tarch here to assist in showing his brothers what else existed – his desires had been a tad…selfish.
Slowly rising to his feet, Oboe calmed his breathing as a soft white aura began to emanate from his outline – not quite erupting into flames like the Super Saiyan’s, but easily condensing to such a degree as to indicate a small power up. Though not yet capable of entering the surge, Oboe instead opted for a more…traditional counter-offensive.
With Tarch hopefully having caught Nashua’s attention, Oboe would thrust his right palm forward, left gripping his staff tightly, and with the motion, releasing a potent blast of Ki at the Saiyan Warrior. Its gold and violet visages blending together in a unique way as the ‘bullet’ of ki roared towards her, a unique double-helix like tail trailing behind.
“Gigun: Dangan!” (Righteous Force: Bullet!)
The hope was that the sphere’s impact would cause a bit of damage, enough to gain her focus back on himself. The opposite, was that if Tarch could use the momentum – perhaps he could tap into his own inner strength and begin to counter attack the Saiyan on the off-chance he wasn’t going to be capable of attaining the state he was searching for. Using his telepathy, he called out to his ally in battle, hoping to orchestrate the field a bit more;
Tarch, You need to focus! As she is now, neither of us stand a chance in even giving her a warm up let alone a work-out. I know you have more power in you than that. I could feel it remember? How can I help you achieve the form you showed me before? D-Do you know how to access your 'Super Saiyan' State?
Oboe was unaware at how woefully inexperienced Tarch truly had been. He'd assumed the Warrior Race just knew from birth how to do the things they did. A learning experience was fast approaching both fighters as Nashua held the advantage.

The thrill of the fight usually took a moment before it could muster itself up in Nashua's chest, but as she made her moves to attack the other two who challenged her, the familiar heightened sensation in her heart began to return, the long dark coal furnace within her slowly regaining its flame and churning out smoke. While she had never thought of herself as one for fighting, the Saiyan blood in her veins tended to strongly disagree - was there even a more alive feeling than when one found themselves in a pulse pounding fight? Although, as her leg swept through the air and smacked against Oboe's arms, sending him sliding back several meters with little effort on Nashua's part. The quick realization of how outmatched these two opponents were served to full the flames within the Saiyan, but she had promised to fight them best she could, so...
"Come on oboe, I know that's not your best!" Nashua stated as he struggled to recuperate himself. As she waited for him to recover, she felt something... Tingly press against her back. It didn't hurt, but it kind of itched a little bit? The Saiyan glanced behind her to find Tarch pressing his ki infused hands against her spine, and while that probably would've been an effective way of distracting her if their power levels were closer, well, him being less than three percent of her strength didn't help him out. "I know you're capable of better too, Tarch. I've seen your best!" She didn't bother turning around and swiping at him, rather, she simply smacked Tarch away from her with her tail without skipping a beat. As she returned her attention to the Guru, though, she realized he'd taken well advantage of the brief distraction.
The ki hurtled from Oboe right towards Nashua, and while she could definitely still have dodged it, given her energy to spare, she felt like Oboe and Tarch deserved some kind of motivator - to prove she wasn't invincible. So, Nashua feigned surprise, and stumbled back as the ki sphere smacked into her chest. "Not bad!" she called back with a grin as she stood herself back up. "It's going to take quite a bit more than that to secure a victory, but you two are on the right track!" Nevermind the fact that if this were a real fight, she could have obliterated them both along with all of their spectators in the blink of an eye. The thought of her own sheer power made her shudder slightly. "But again... I know you can do better."
Now it was her turn. Nashua's hand raised back, and her ki began to charge itself into a ball, and then a strange, pointed shape, before finally coalescing into a bright pink spear made entirely of ki, sparking violently with energy. "This one I won't hold back for like that first blast!" she declared before she lurched forward and sent it hurtling right towards Oboe, its shining power blasting towards him at speeds that rivaled that of a jet fighter. Could he manage to evade it, or was this already the end of their practice bout?

So much for running a good distraction. Tarch could feel how mountainous the gap between himself and Nashua was. It came as no surprise that all she needed was a flick of her tail to send him flying back. That didn’t make his cheek sting any less though. Even a super saiyan tail was strong enough to lift a planet, or smack an unsuspecting half saiyan. Then Oboe’s voice echoed through Tarch’s mind. It was a familiar call to action. Similar to what he heard back in West City. Just thinking about that day was enough to bring a cold chill running up Tarch’s spine.
“I-I… I don’t know if I can use it on command. So far every time I just... I-it scares me.” That wasn’t to say his super saiyan form scared him. It was intimidating to be sure. But it was how he called apon it that truly terrified him. The amount of fear and pain he had to recall. It wasn’t something a fourteen-year-old should have to relive. Yet even with that fact, Nashua wasn’t going to hold back. Tarch could sense the sheer amount of power she was gathering in Nashua’s hands and she formed a dazzling spear of energy.
Come on Tarch! This is why you’re here. So you can learn how to use super saiyan without being afraid! Just save Mr. Oboe!
The usual maelstrom of fears swirled in Tarch’s mind. The storm was absolutely devastating, crashing waves of thoughts, all of the horrors he’d seen buffeting him. That was when he instinctively brought himself to something better. This wasn’t West City. This wasn’t his sister. This wasn’t even the Namek he visited all those months ago. Right now he just had to be there for Mr. Oboe and be a good fighting partner. That much he could do.
Tarch dashed in front of the guru, seeming to take the blast in full. However, when the smoke would clear, Tarch would look completely unscathed save for a red mark on his left forearm. The area around it would take on an odd almost stony texture. Super Saiyan and smiling, Tarch would stand between Nashua and Oboe.
“Hey! You got that spear down!” he called out. He could remember when they had their first real spar before either of them were super saiyans. She tried the same thing only to have it explode in her hand. As the barrier faded, Tarch let out a proud chuckle. “I learned that from Ms. Kayen! I’m not great with it but I think it did plenty!” While this still wasn’t the most Tarch could put out, he was super saiyan, and that in and of itself was a major step. No doubt the onlookers of oros village would be shocked to learn this child wasn’t lying about his power. “I think I still need to warm up a bit more to go full power.” That was what he said out loud, but he’d be sure to send both his opponent and partner a telepathic message.
“But really I’m also super nervous about fighting in front of all these people! Help?” What if he hurt them? If he lost control of his wild power could Nashua and Oboe protect the spectators? Sure mentally Tarch was perfectly fine, but five planets worth of power was a lot to throw around.

As the demonstration went forward in earnest, the Namekians assembled had mostly made their way to their feet, having found the idea of sitting around this battle-zone a bit more dangerous than having participated in the fight themselves. Tremendous shockwaves of force caused the world around them to tremble in the presence of such a mighty power. The Saiyan was proving to the green skinned aliens exactly the difference between their warriors and a race that was dedicated to combat. The wakeup call was disconcerting for many as those in attendance looked physically ill in the presence of such might.
Oboe could only watch as the massive attack sped its way towards him, threatening to engluf his figure in the ever-burning energy that was ki. Softly, carefully, he exhaled a long and arduous breath as if preparing for the death to come. The other Namekians in attendance wished to rush to their leader’s side, protect him however they could, but such was not needed. In a flash movement, Tarch bravely put himself infront of the attack to protect him! The impact resounded throughout the area as smoke filled the impact zone. There was a hushed silence by those in attendance.
Flaring energy was audible as the debris dissipated revealing a standing Tarch – glowing gold both in hair and aura – seeming taller than before. There was a confidence in his stance as a force much like Nashua’s washed over each of those assembled. There was a murmur between the warrior castes as they found the sight of a young child with such power equal parts frightening as well as awe inspiring. Grunting with effort, Oboe hoisted himself to his feet with the assistance of his staff before thanking Tarch for his assistance.
The voice in his head, the young Saiyans, caused him to chuckle inwardly. The young man was rightfully worried about the collateral damage that was caused by such encounters. However, what he wasn’t aware of was the steadfast and proud nature of the Namekian Warriors. Thinking outward to them both, oboe would respond to the mental thought;
Don’t worry so much about them Tarch. Believe it or not, My people are very capable of protecting themselves. Besides – they’re instructed to move if things get too bad. This is educational for them so try your best to ignore their presence.
It wasn’t a falsehood that Namekian Warriors could protect themselves, but against the level of attacks Nashua and Tarch were going to throw? Oboe wasn’t sure, but he had to let them take the risk. It was his people that had asked for such a demonstration and it would be meaningless if they didn’t get to experience everything. Shaking off the thought, Oboe concentrated within and began to feel the stirring of something new. Something…different. As if on cue, Steno’s voice would pierce the veil of his internal monologue and report on the situation.
It’s nearly time Guru, You can do this – just breathe, relax and feel the energy flowing within your gut. Make it a part of your being, yourself, as you did with the Magic you learned. You’re right on the precipice just push! Push!
Guru felt what his opposite was talking about. There was indeed a stirring of near primordial power surging within him. It was intoxicating but, it felt incomplete. There was something missing, some trigger to access the stored energy within. Maybe in combat he’d find it. Another exhalation of breath and finally Oboe looked a bit better from the last blow – though he was still breathing heavily – and seemed as if he was ready for everything to continue.
“as I said I’ll support you from behind Tarch…I’ll do my best to not slow you down. Please – Don’t worry about me, and thank you for protecting me I was surely done for last attack…” There was kindness in his voice, but an edge of concern.

ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS: Mastered Super Saiyan (x16P) |
Just what Nashua had been hoping for - instead of violently exploding against Oboe and sending him flying off into the sunset, which would have been the less than optimal outcome, when the smoke cleared, Oboe was still there and still standing strong. And standing even stronger was Tarch, whose hair was no longer the obsidian black it usually was, and instead now shone with a golden hue, and his blue eyes were now... Well, still blue. "Why, yes, I did! Thank you for noticing!" Nashua called back, only just now remembering when she'd tried to practice that nearly a year prior, with mixed results. It had still exploded her target, just not really in the kind of way she'd intended. The fact that Tarch even remembered something from that long ago brought a smile to Nashua's face, although now that he'd managed to power up, this was hardly the time for idle reminiscing. They had a real fight on their hands, now!
"Plenty of time left for you to warm up properly," Nashua assured the other Super Saiyan, although his true worries were quickly broadcast into both her and Oboe's minds. The Namekian was the first to try and ease the young hybrid's worries, and Nashua quickly added on, "Don't worry about that, Tarch, they're just here to watch! Just remember to keep your head cool, we're only fighting to train. And if you want to stop, just say the word and we'll cut the fighting off at once." She was quite sure Oboe would have no issue with that. If anything, the three of them had already effectively demonstrated their power to the onlookers, so at this point they were really only sparring because they wanted to. That meant there was little pressure on any of them if they had to stop before reaching a proper conclusion at any point.
Nashua, in the meantime, stretched her arms out in front of her, and lightly kicked out her legs in front of her to give herself a proper stretch as the other two boys prepared themselves to jump back into the fray with her. "If you two are ready, I'm still raring to go, over here!" she called over towards them. Now that she had some actual possible challenge in front of her in the form of Tarch, she figured it'd be wise to fight more intelligently from here on, instead of her admittedly flashier stuff from before. She better make the first move then, shouldn't she? Oboe was still far and away the weaker of the two, so if she kept her attacks focused on him, that meant Tarch would either have to use up energy defending his partner, or allow the Namekian to fall, significantly evening the odds.
Right. She'd go after oboe, then, while he still hadn't totally recovered from her blast from earlier. In one instant, Nashua was there, across from the podium and stretching out her legs and arms, and then in the next instant, she was gone, entirely invisible to any of the spectators among the audience. Perhaps even invisible to Oboe, still, but if Tarch kept a watchful eye, it was likely he'd have seen her go straight over his head, her arm reared back behind her with her hand bunched up in a fist, a pretty huge amount of power all wrapped up inside the thing, before her palm opened up as she hovered just a few meters over Oboe, and from her open palm emerged a dazzling pink beam of death. ...Well, not death, but it would surely have hurt a nearly ridiculous amount to get hit by the thing.
"Sorry, Oboe!" Nashua quickly exclaimed as she fired the thing. Even if they were in a fight with each other, blasting something so vicious at the Guru felt a bit, well... Odd. It'd probably knock the Namekian out straight up, if it made contact, and even if Tarch were to block it himself, she had little doubts he'd take some pain as well. Either way, she was using up every bit of energy to pull it off, so she could only hope it worked - otherwise, she'd be wide open afterwards!

Tarch felt a smooth wave of relief wash over him as his comrades assured him that he wouldn’t hurt any of the onlookers. As for Nashua, he already knew she was plenty strong. Heck, she could take his strongest attack and still stand afterward. Kind of. She did look worse for wear after that. That was however just for testing his power. This was a ful-on sparring match. Once he was firing on all cylinders the two super saiyans could fight without restraint. The only issue was Oboe. He seemed worried he would only serve to slow Tarch down. While their different in raw power was obvious, he knew that Mr. Oboe was much smarter than he was.
That didn’t stop Nashua from firing yet another blast. “Oh crap not again.” Tarch raised both arms, his skin seeming to turn to stone once more. This time though his barrier was way too weak for the job. While the Guru would be unharmed, the poor half saiyan would be sent flying back, clumsily flipping over himself before barely managing to land on his feet. “Owww,” he groaned. “Don’t worry Mr. Oboe! I got your back.” Despite his confident tone accompanying his even more confident words, Tarch’s arm was on fire. Almost literally. The protective brace on his still injured right arm was now smoking as warm cracks splinted around the wrist.
Luckily it wouldn’t be enough to keep Tarch down. “Ok, my turn!” he’d dash toward Nashua. Though he was already too tired to use his afterimage, he would still shoot over like a bullet, stopping just in front of his opponent to fire off a large ki blast to her chest.
