Threads: 10,000 Anti-Sense: Active, goes inactive for a moment in the post
It was another day where Vangreth was just wandering around the Earth, looking for something new to learn, or perhaps someone to meet? He really didn’t know at that point, he had learn much about this world, but it seemed like every time he got something, several MORE things would pop for him to learn. It was like this never-ending knowledge tree that kept branching more and more, and it didn’t seem to have an end to any of it. The Ancient One was starting to think that maybe he’d never be able to catch up himself, and that perhaps his people could evolve in this world, and slowly build up to understand everything, and that made sense to him, although he still needed to live here for a long time, and he still had not checked out cities yet! With all this thinking, it seemed that, while levitating barely above the ground, he managed to end up in this strange wasteland, not unsimilar to the desert he had crash-landed on Earth on, but this one had big rock formations and canyons all over, and traces of countless battles that he could clearly see evolving all around, what a strange and probably iconic place for Earth in some way! The Humanoid would fly a little higher to have a better view of this place, probably defeating the purpose of having his anti-sense capacity, but he didn’t quite fear someone would attack him, people on this planet had been, while not always nice to him, pretty pacific. As he looked around, he stood on top of a rock tower that seemed to rule all over this area, and he had a pretty nice view without the need for flying, which could allow him to take a small break. The Ancient One closed his eyes, and while he didn’t enter his meditation trance, he would slowly release his aura of Ki, this purple energy slow forming slowly at his feet and rising like a fire on him. It wasn’t something he would do near the village he lived in, as he was not too familiar with that new power of his, and was afraid of its destructive power; but here? With all those blasts on the ground and fallen rock formation? Surely nobody would notice that a few more rocks where shattered or fallen right? Releasing his aura had a side-effect though, it cancelled temporarily his Anti-sense capacity, as he was purposefully showing it off. His aura was now reaching beyond his hairs, and he began to intensify it! Dust was blasting away meters around him, and rocks started to shake, the smaller ones levitated around him as he felt all of his power swirl around him, and at time, he could feel that, if he pushed further, he could probably tap into this strange potential that came to him while he fought the mysterious Shinjin, although he was not eager to return to the state this last transformation had left him into. ‘’ This is… impressive… did I grow that much in so little time?’’ He would ask himself alloud, his voice even having an excited ring to it, as he pushed a little further, and his aura bursted for a moment, shattering the rock he was standing on, but he simply levitated where it formerly stood. ‘’ Wow!’’ General Kraktus

Kraktus had still been hiding in the wasteland keeping his ship hidden in the vast array of caves. Today he had been working on repairing parts of the ship. He grabbed a manual from a Ship shop when he was down in Satan City. It had actually been peaceful no one was around and nothing to disturb him. It allowed him to think about himself and his plans. Prehaps killing everything would do him no good. Maybe he just needed to fix the world to be in line with his image. There was a little value in the universe though it was few and far between. Kraktus scouter began to beep the General taking a look at the number. <10,000> was on the screen but as he checked it would disappear an error sign appearing on the scouter lense.
Kraktus grabbed the scouter shaking it a few times a grunt of annoyance escaping his lips. He had to wonder how the WTF had so many faulty scouters. Powers didn't just disappear. Kraktus paused for a moment then he remembers his own abilities. He could cloak his own Ki. Kraktus flipped his scouter on as it got him a general location of this man. He had to wonder if was another of his kind. To his knowledge, they were the only one who could do it. So with that Kraktus flew off quickly arriving at the location of Vangreth. He'd looked around eying the demonic-looking man right away. Kraktus would walk over his hand pulling behind his back. "So you're the one my scouter picked up. Got to be careful with that type of power someone might get curious."

Vangreth felt pretty good about all of this; he had become so much stronger, and was just growing in a way that, he could feel all that energy all around him, and to his knowledge, nobody back on his planet could do such a thing, and this was not something outside of his control, like everything surprising he had met on Earth, no, this was his, it was the effect that world had on him, and he had a feeling that this was not the end of it, and he could only get excited about what was coming next. But then, something broke the silence between him and the valley, and quickly got his attention
The words of the General would slightly tingle Vangreth’s danger sense, this was not the way an ally would speak, and the man’s posture and ‘aura’ kind of reminded him of the commander of the Warrior clan, back home, and what didn’t help was, he could not sense the ki-signature of that creature… and this all felt too familiar for him…
‘’ Well, I am not really trying to be subtle about my presence. If someone is curious of me, I’d let them know that I am also curious about many things.’’ He answered in his generic relaxed tone, although that was clearly a message to the general in front of him; he was not a threat, and was compliant to answer his curiosity should he be pacific.
‘’ You can also do it, can’t you. I don’t think you are so weak that I can’t catch your signature, this posture of yours, it is not one for a weak man.’’ He added, turning himself to face the Alien with a rather proud posture.
‘’ So tell me then, what got you curious?’’ He asked, tilting his head on the side, his glowly, golden eyes showing very little emotion, but a tiny bit of confidence and defiance.
Vangreth was eyeing the Squid-faced alien, and figured why people on Earth didn't always panic when they saw him; if there was creature like him roaming around, truly, they could see more similarity with the Ancient One than they could with that creature of the deep he had in front of him.

"I see so you were not trying to hide." Guess that was good there would not be a fight to happen. He was not some anti-social monster either which was another point in the Vangreth favor. He seemed relaxed to guess he knew who he was or didn't care. Guess it did help that he was hard to pick up from sense because of his race's ability to conceal themselves. Then he did something that suprised him Vangreath seemed to have known he was hiding his power. Guess the alien had a good eye. If he had the same sort of techquine it would make sense for him to at least have some idea something was amiss. "You are correct to say I am not a weak man prehaps I'll say who I am." He'd walked around Vangreth as he asked what had got him curious. Guess it was time to tell him what was up.
"You have an ability like myself. To mask your power passivity. I first assumed you may have been a Zoonmite before I flew over. They are my species but your not which got me curious." Kraktus grinned "I am General Kraktus of the World Trade Fleet. I assume you've heard of at least the organization once or twice before. We are sort of seen as the boogymen of North Galaxy. Not that we are, truly that would be the saiyans." Afterall they were the strong threat that could one day bring harm to Earth. The Fleet had grown weak in comparison to both Earth's and Vegeta's Strength. "Truly though I want to know who you are. Afterall for someone like you to be out here seems a bit odd." He was unsure if that would be enough to convince him to open but guess that was the joy of waiting. If not he could kill him without remorse.

Vangreth observed the strange alien as he confirmed his theory about him hiding his energy; the Ancient One didn’t need to use his ki-sensing when someone this confident would approach him by flying, there was no way he could be this confident, fly and be undetectable by Ki-Signature, he just had to add two and two together. As for his theory about him hiding his power, it was something Vangreth himself had seen on his home world and possessed, so it kind of felt natural to suspect such a rare ability. The fact that the alien possessed this ability was keeping Vangreth on edge, he could not analyse him, and thus, he could not know if he was superior or inferior to him in terms of power.
After all the exposition and the final question the general asked to him, Vangreth smiled lightly and looked straight into Kraktus’s eyes.
‘’ I have no idea of what is the World Trade Fleet, I come from a far away planet that was isolated for as long as we can remember. The barrier just broke, and I am amongst the first of our kind to ever explore space. To be honest with you, I also came across a few saiyans, and got along with them pretty well, although they didn’t seem to be affiliated to anything, so I might be talking about something else. ‘’
He said that plain and simple, just being honest with the General, as he didn’t want him to possibly think he was hiding something; if he was a representant of said ‘World Trade Fleet’, he would want to have positive interaction with him, so that maybe he’d make contacts amongst them.
‘’ As for me personally, I am Vangreth, a warrior from my people, and I was sent to the unknown to find a planet where my people could prosper; and I found my way to Earth, breaking my ship in the process. ‘’
He was speaking now in a pretty neutral tone leaning slightly to a friendly side.
‘’ Now, I believe that if we are to follow Earthling’s culture, you should introduce yourself as well. ‘’ He concluded with, having a light smile appear on his face.

This man really was out of the loop. He had not even heard of the WTF. Now that was something that was indeed a bit surprising to Kraktus. It was the boogyman of the universe taking planets how would a planet not of heard of them. Unless as Vangreath explained they were isolated. No one had found them so how would they find out about the fleet and its planet conquering ways. They were invisible to the rest of the universe. Kraktus gave a nod of understanding. "My planet was in somewhat the same boat. we were in a far corner so we were usually left alone not as lucky as your people being cut off from the universe." Guess it could also be seen as bad luck but he'd make an assumption Vangreath had been happy they were left alone. He would think most people would be glad to know they were in no danger.
Vangreath explained he had come across one Saiyan and they had been nice to him. Guess while some of them were good people that would have to be changed. He was hoping to get Vangreath to work for him he seemed strong so not being the first to meet him was a bummer in some ways. It didn't matter he would twist Vangreath if need be or leave him alone if he was not worth the trouble. He explained he was a warrior of his planet and found his way to earth breaking his ship. "I know that feeling. I broke my own ship very recently currently working on getting it repaired so I don't have to worry about burning in the vacuum of space. That would be quite unpleasant." Kraktus grinned lightly trying to look like he was going to laugh. When Vangreth asked him to introduce himself Krkatus blinked guess he missed when he said his name. Krkatus took in stride and nodded. "I am Kraktus it is very nice to meet you."

Vangreth seemed to be surprised that the person, while apparently having been in a similar situation with his own people, that he would consider it luck! Well, maybe Kraktus’s species had it easier than the Ancient Ones, but Vangreth’s people had to limit their population and were run by a caste system that basically prevented any social ascension and being slightly out of line basically mean you where going to be treated harsher than every single other people serving the same purpose as you did, if you didn’t get scrapped for being too much effort to handle, that is.
‘’ I wish my people didn’t have to suffer through isolation… being the only living beings on a planet beside plants, it really doesn’t allow for the diversity that, in my opinion, might be Earth’s best quality I’ve seen so far. I am glad to hear that similar isolation can be a good situation though.’’ He simply replied to Kraktus, this voice was showing a bit of confusion but also a bit of nostalgia, thinking of home in a positive manner was something that was slowly becoming rarer.
Hearing of the man’s problem with his ship, Vangreth chuckled a bit, so this man had the means to repair his ship, and well, World Trade Fleet did sound like something that was not active only on Earth, he did say they were a boogeyman of some sort across the galaxy.
‘’ Mine was barely a few pieces of scraps, so well… I kind of left it there… I’ll probably have to get myself a new one at some point, but I have a lot to do before that, I still have to ask for my people’s arrival, I don’t want to just have them show up and set up shop randomly… there is this ‘president’ person I have to meet… ‘’
He was saying a whole lot to General Kraktus, but he felt some sort of proximity, they seemed to have a fair amount of things in common, and that was making it easier for Vangreth to talk to him.
‘’ Well Kraktus, I am glad to see I am not the only strange Alien to wander around this beautiful world! And, out of curiosity, I’d like to know what do you think of this place? Just to check if we come to the same conclusion as far as Earth is concerned… then again, you are in no way forced to answer.’’
Vangreth asked in a fairly curious way, the Ancient One was wondering if… well… this ‘boogeyman’ thing was not justified, he had a feeling of authority from that person, and he didn’t want to just take all that he said for granted; he already had some problem about people in charge by accepting everything blindly, but on Earth, he had the choice.

"I see that would make sense my planet species were very diverse in appearance and genome so we didn't have to worry about feeling the same." He could somewhat understand the sentiment of Vangreath. He also did agree on the Earth thing to some extent though he had no love for the planet. Sure it was diverse but it was a melting pot of boring individuals in his mind. People who thought of themselves are good and deflecting the truths of the world. That was his opinion on most of the earthlings at least. He had met a few that had surprised him to be fair. When he mentioned his own ship and its state he'd nodded. "I was a little luckier I must say. I got about half of the ship still standing. Got to be careful to make sure it does not get any worse. I'd rather not get a new one especially of the size my ship is."
When he mentioned he wanted to meet the president. "Ah.." He'd paused thinking how he should respond. Guess it was not bad for him to meet the president. What would he say plus Vangreath seemed a warrior he had already got an idea that it'd not be easy to just wash him to his side. He seemed the type to make such a choice over time and when he felt ready. For now, he'd just keep playing nice and talking no harm in it. To answer his question he posed Kraktus rolled his shoulder. "Earth is a fine place. I don't have any issues with this place just their moral standing. How some earthlings decide to hold themselves. Thinking they know what is best for others." Kraktus shook his head. "Sometimes they show more ignorance than wisdom."

Vangreth was glad to hear that this person didn’t live through the exact condition he had, he was still hoping to be somewhat unique in this world of so many people. Although he had felt that there was something wrong when he expressed his love for Earth, maybe Kraktus had another planet, somewhere, that really was better than Earth, what would Vangreth know about this anyway? When he heard about Kraktus’s ship, he simply nodded lightly.
‘’ I guess fixing something is most of the time more effective than just scrapping it and starting from scratch. I hope this goes your way.’’
To his core, Vangreth felt like Earth could be home, he had this feeling bond with the little blue planet, and was a bit surprised that Kraktus, while nothing incredibly negative, didn’t feel the same about it. Maybe it was part of his title at the World Trade Fleet? Like, not get attached to any of the worlds he conquered? Or perhaps he had become insensitive to it after seeing so many, and Earth was just another good looking planet. And the mention of people lacking wisdom kind of went over his head, as he didn’t quite grasp the idea that Kraktus had shared with him, as he did not fully understand the elements that composed it.
‘’ I guess you have the luck of having seen many other worlds, so your opinion is more advised than mine. Or perhaps I just resonated more to this world than others with similar settings as I have.’’
He expressed his opinion on the matter without really saying he was no agreeing with the other Alien, as he could not disagree with something he did not understand, at least logically.
Vangreth then looked around for a moment as a breeze blew over the wasteland, making him smile a little before turning back to Kraktus.
‘’ Soooo, World Trade Fleet right? If the name is to be believed, it sounds like you guys are buying and selling planets. With the information you gave me about being the ‘boogeyman’ of the galaxy, I figure those worlds are not usually ‘empty’ when you acquire them, am I wrong?’’
Vangreth decided to push a little, to see what he could learn about this organisation, but could not trust Kraktus to just telling him those sorts of details if he didn’t directly ask, and even if Kraktus dodged the question, that would most likely alert Vangreth that the answer was positive, and probably a sensitive subject amongst the group… or perhaps the whole point of their existence. The Ancient One sort of hoped he was mistaken, or perhaps had landed directly on the rumors that made them the feared organization they apparently were, but that they were exaggerated.

"Yes, when you put a lot into something it is not so easy to just let it go into the wind." He had spent a lot of the WTF military budget on that ship. Afterall he felt that was better than hiring a bunch of clowns who would be easily killed by their foes. Krkatus would nod as Vangreth. "Yes having the ability to travel across the stars seeing planets is always a good sight. You get to learn a lot from seeing other worlds." Kraktus nodded. "But once you find that world there may not be much reason to go out to explore." Afterall once you found a home no need to go flying around in space for one. Just some men like himself were never going to find one.
"Yes, we do buy and sell planets. Well that was what the organization does I just go and help conquer the planets. As a General, I lead military operations to take over the planets. However, they are others who handle what planets are needed to be taken and who they will be sold too." Kraktus would explain before coughing into his hand. "Yes, those planets are not empty when we take them over. They are people on the planets. Usually, things go well people are willing to join and the planet be sold. Usually, life does not change but others fought back. For good and for bad reasons I suppose it was different from planet to planet. Now, this fighting back has pushed us back but I suppose that for the best. It is good to see the universe develop without being chained by another's will." Afterall strength only came from conflict. The more fighting the more dangerous war could one day envelop the universe.

Vangreth felt pretty good about what Kraktus had to say about the exploration of space; he liked to think that Earth could be his new home, although, when everything would be said and done, if his people where to make a home of this planet, then he’d like to go back and perhaps explore more strange worlds? He didn’t quite know if he’d be able to live with his peers once more, and so, if not, then perhaps he could go out for the stars? Then again, would he have the strength the leave Earth after everything he would experience here? The friends he’ll make? These were questions he’d have to answer at some point.
‘’ Well, I do hope Earth is that home for me… I do seem to be slowly adapting to this place, and its people… ‘’
Then, came the big explanation on what did the World Trade Fleet did, and Vangreth raise an eyebrow; he was not sure about that whole ‘invading planet and selling them’ thing, who bought them? What happened to the people whose planet were sold, could they stay? Did they become nomadic species after this? This all seemed a bit a fishy, but he would have to ask Kraktus, as he still trusted at least that the alien would not lie to him.
‘’This sounds… well… I have a lot of questions actually… What happens to the people from the planet you conquer? I get that well, some of them will die, but the survivors, do they stay on their planet? Do you kick them out? Are they allowed to stay, and have to endure the buyer? And who would just buy planets like this? Perhaps miners? Or maybe those whose planet where sold a long ago, and made enough money to buy themselves a new home? This would be a pretty strange way to force them to adapt to your system, but… I guess it would be efficient way to do so…’’
Vangreth was speaking a lot, but he was trying to make sense of this, and really tried to make it so Kraktus was not just a straight up monster, which he didn’t want to believe was the case.

"I see becoming an earthling huh that is not bad." Becoming bound to a place of how pathic. Guess he had been too quick to judge the man based on his appearance. It mattered not he could still be wrong maybe he'd change his tune with what he had to say. Vangreath had a lot to ask of him which he was more than happy to answer. Afterall that why he was here to answer questions and enforce truths. "Some will stay others will flee. I don't hand the details that up to the higher-ups. I can't say I know what exactly happens. My job is to conquer the planet not tell someone how to manage it. However, I'd imagine it is up to the buyer. Some are good people and others are not. You get that in our business rolling the dice on who will suffer." Kraktus coughed into his hand "As for who buys these planets I suppose it someone who has a lot of ego or money. Some people see owning the world as a sign of status. That you own an entire race or planet that makes you special. Some do it for economic reasons or personal. As I said before it different for each buyer."

Vangreth took this answer as the definitive point that made him against the World Trade Fleet, but he wasn’t crazy enough to oppose them directly, so he would simply nod to the extremely painful truth that Kraktus gave him; lucky for him, he was pretty non-expressive from the start, so hiding what he was really thinking wasn’t so much of a big deal. Although just thinking of the poor people that were attacked, then could just be kicked out of their planet because someone had bought it to these people… Truly disgusting in all the definitions of the term.
‘’ I see… So you’re not really involved into what happens after it is sold, you’re just there to conquer and then sell… a military leader as it should be, I knew a guy like you back home, my mentor in fact. Although he did not possess the wide range at which you operate, but he’d probably like to. ‘’
The Ancient One smiled a bit, thinking of his mentor like this was sort of unsettling, it was a fair comparison, and he was not entirely unconvinced of what he said, but he believed the master of the warrior clan of his people would use his power better than the World Trade Fleet apparently were.
‘’ And so, is there someone at the head of your organization? A leader? A council perhaps? I wonder, does it runs more like an Earthling’s company or a political machine? I guess it must be a strange mix of the two, isn’t it? ‘’
In fact, the Ancient One didn’t even had an idea of the existence of the Arcosian race, much less their influence in this world, he had yet to even meet a representant of this species as a whole!

"I see so you understand duty." Kraktus gave a nod. Guess he could separate what he did as a job then form who he was. Guess as he long he keeps up the persona that he was not a terrible being then it should be fine. Plus even if Vangreath saw through his act he could not physically do that much. When Vangreath asked who was leading Krkatus rubbed his chin. "Well of the military there is a man named Chill who is in charge. On the home planet of the WTF, a bunch of bureaucrats runs things. All about the money and profit." He was never really a fan of their leadership but they really didn't do much. The strongest being was usually in control as the military was the backbone of the WTF in general. Not the money generated from taking over planets. "As for running like Earth's government, not at all. It is all the rich and powerful who control things. Here anyone with a message can have a chance to change things." That was not actually true, but he decided not to give a damper.

Vangreth was glad, it seemed like the Kraktus was buying into his facade and the discussion was allowed to simply continue where it was going, and Vangreth could keep learning about this organization through Kraktus, assuming of course, that he was not lying, but he seemed honest. The Ancient One was worried that if his facade fell, then the general might just dispose of him, he was a fighter after all, a general and seemed very confident about his own personal power, so Vangreth had an idea that fighting him seriously was a bad idea.
When Kraktus was done, Vangreth would give him a nod, blinking a few times; he had learn just as much about Earth than about the World Trade Fleet on that one, which was fairly good, but solidified the idea that they were not to be trusted!
‘’ Chill… If he’s in charge, I bet his character goes along with the name. Where I come from, the military are directly at the command of the governing class, so pardon me if I don’t show a lot of understanding on that part.’’
Vangreth took a moment to process some of the information he had gotten before tilting his head, his neck making a satisfying crack noise.
‘’ So, you mentioned the Saiyans being the real bogeyman in here, sooo… I’d understand if you are busy, but I’d like to know more about that opposition, Is the World Trade Fleet at war with the Saiyans in general? Or just their official structure?’’ He asked, wondering if
