"Yes, I would say that is true." Kraktus yawned looking over Vangreth. "He is not a noble actually. He is a soldier like us. Just his race is the high class. Suppose that makes him a Noble who is also a military commander." Like the Governing had any control of them. If anything the WTF had all the control. The ruling class was strong in this world, not the weak who thought themselves to have great influence. Then he moved on about the saiyans. He wanted to know if the WTF and the Kingdom were at war? Kraktus snorted. This guy really did live under a rock. "The WTF and the Kingdom are at war yes. They have been at war for some time. The WTF wanted to conquer their planet but they seemed to not understand that would be easier said than done. We did take the planet but they fought back and took it back. So they were actually smart in that regard. Fighting back is the only way to make a change." Most people just rolled over but Vegeta and Earth had not and as a result exposed the WTF weakness and had been dealing it some major blows.

‘’ Oh well, I believe I know exactly someone like him. But if he’s in charge of the whole army, and you’re his, or one of his, general, then I believe yours is much stronger than mine. Interesting though, to see that, when you look at the command chain, your people and mine are not so different… puts things back in perspective. ‘’
... [But at least my people do not steal what is not theirs] Though Vangreth to himself, it was true that this Chill sounded a lot like Vilmar, the ruler class that was made to lead the Fighter Class, the man imagined his old mentor, but with the intimidation to a whole new level, which did manage to get a chill up his spine… how a propos!
Then, came the speech about the war that seemed to be around for a long time, and of course, his kind had no idea that it was happening in the stars they looked up at night, wondering if there was even something else up there. Hearing that Kraktus seemed to have some form of respect for the Saiyan who fought back, which Vangreth would think was some way to show that the general wasn’t pure evil.
‘’ It is good though, to have an opposing side. I’ve learn through my experience, that without real opposition, there can’t be growth. If there was no ‘other’ force to oppose the World Trade Fleet, than maybe it would have grown weak, and could have been overtaken by a sudden uprising, especially on the scale you seem to operate. ‘’
Vangreth hoped Kraktus would not take this as an insult, but he wanted to push a few buttons, just to see how the alien would react. After all, if something was to happen on Earth between these two, he’d have to probably pick a side; and if that happened, then would the Saiyan be better than the WTF? He wasn’t sure; perhaps the few saiyans he met were nice, but the whole kingdom? The saiyan did appear to him as fairly aggressive by themselves after all.
‘’ So, General. I’ve been meaning to ask this for a bit, but… is there a reason you were near Earth when your ship broke? I figure you’re not alone, but I feel a LOT of immense power level spike sometimes here on Earth… did Earth invasion resist as well? Or is it about to start? Then again, you don’t have to tell me. ‘’
The Ancient One asked the question, the one that might push it a little too far, he hoped it wouldn’t, but Kraktus could very well be insulted that he remind him of his failure, or take no chance and dispose of him if he figured that in invasion was coming, so that Vangreth could not alert anyone… which he wouldn’t even know who to alert anyway. The ball was in Kraktus’s camp. Vangreth still had his fairly confident pose, but cracks were starting to show, and stress could be figured out from his facial expression, even if it was not very expressive in itself; if an invasion was imminent, then Vangreth was not safe at all, and what could happen to Earth if they won? Or even if they didn't, wouldn't that ravage a lot? These questions started to haunt him.

"I see that is good to hear." So his society was much of the same. Guess that was why he was not surprised or spooked by what he was saying. Just, of course, his society was at a much smaller scale he assumed then the WTF. "Yes without someone to fight we cannot grow. Conflict leads to growth and success without it then we just stay in the status quo. After all it is easier to remain in the same place then to go to a new one." Kraktus bowed his head to Vangreth. He was aware of how much the Fleet had grown and himself since this conflict had begun. The difference in power from when he started and now was like night and day. "Why was I on Earth? Well, a friend of mine wanted to Invade Earth So I decided to aid him in such an event. It was mostly for sport rather than malicious intent. That what friend to for others. I owed him a favor." Kraktus shrugged, of course, he didn't owe a Sensoa a favor but it was a good way to save face since it seemed the attack had ended in a complete failure.

Vangreth was glad Kraktus agreed with him on the whole ‘challenge makes you stronger’ thing he said, it was good to see that passed the ‘evil’ exterior and strange facade the alien had made for himself, he was still somewhat logical and could be made sense from only by digging a little deeper; although for Vangreth, he was still someone to be stopped, even if he didn’t have the power to do so himself. The Ancient One nodded to his conclusion about it being easier to stagnate instead of launching yourself to new horizons, although it had been much easier for him to leave home than stay there, but it applied more often than not.
When the general answered the question about why he was on Earth, Vangreth’s worst fear were confirmed, it was for an invasion, although the alien seemed to be talking about it like it was the past, which confirmed to the ancient one that people would stop him if he tried this; it seems like the strong on Earth were its allies, and Vangreth was glad that they could come and defend it whenever it needed… who knows… he might even fight alongside them one day?
‘’ Well, at least you live another day to fight, don’t you? After you get that ship fixed, you’ll probably be on your way to conquer other worlds, or perhaps come back with friends here to try again? Must be amusing though, to be able to see so many worlds; although I doubt you often stop to admire the scenery. ‘’
The Ancient One said that without really being careful about his choice of words, and even wondered himself if he wasn't borderline challenging the general to come back for a second invasion, although he doubted that, after failing like this, he would re-try instantly, and if he did, that he would succeed.

“I suppose that is fair enough being able to fight on another day for the goals one desires.” Kraktus nodded to Vangreath statement. It was true that it was better to be alive to have a second chance then to be dead. Once you were dead you lost any chance of taking what he wanted. As for his other questions, both were good guess he wanted to know what his thoughts were. He had to admit Vangreath was quite observant. "Well if you must know. I do take time to look at the planets. I see that they are peace and sometimes I can be envious but not for long. The life of peace is not for me, It is not for anyone who wants anything in this universe. As for taking other planets, No I think I am done for now. Planets are not worth much honestly. We pretend they are but it is the value planets hold to people that is valuable. Whether the gold it can produce or the people who smile under its warm skies." Kraktus gave a light chuckle. "I'd rather crush that instead of a planet."

Another thing Kraktus said that was starting to redeem him a bit in Vangreth’s eyes, and even made him think that perhaps that was just something he did not understand, maybe conquering planet and selling it to others was… well... could have been something that would have had helped his people much faster than he did! It’s with a wide smile that Vangreth keep listening and had to tank the harshest, most horrible thing Kraktus had said for now, and was solidified him as a monster in the ancient one’s eyes, and that would come with a problem, for this time… Vangreth had not been able to hide his reaction to this.
For a moment, Vangreth’s face showed disgust, fear and anger. Kraktus just slipped out what Vangreth assumed was his darker side, just desiring destruction of what people loved! One could somewhat understand doing questionable things for money, but if he just wanted to destroy things… that was completely out of any reasonable understanding. The ancient one took a step back, looking for a brief moment around; did he have any escape? Could he out-run that monster? He was used to destroy worlds; would he have any struggle destroying him?
Vangreth decided to give his act one last shot at pulling him out of this situation, although he had very little hope that it would work, he had to try… for his life perhaps?
‘’ But… if you destroy those, then nobody will be able to enjoy it, right? And the planet will lose all of its value. Isn’t that a bad plan for your fleet? ‘’
Vangreth tried a little bit to reason with him, he couldn’t help but think that it must be an error but would not stay around to discuss this any longer. He faked hearing something in the distance, like his ki-sensing was alerting him of something.
‘’ That’s my signal. I’m sorry, but we’ll have to continue this conversation later… it was a pleasure meeting you general. ‘’
Vangreth was deploying a lot of effort to keep his polite and calm voice to try and keep the general on his ‘good-ish’ side before elevating himself off the ground and heading back towards the village he loved so much.
Once he would be out of sight, if Kraktus allowed him to leave, he would push himself further than ever to leave this place as fast as possible, making sure his ability to hide his presence was completely operational. [Attempt to leave thread]

"That is bad for the fleet. But what the fleet wants is not what I want." Kraktus grinned as he saw Vangreath seemed ready to leave. Guess he knew who he was. Kraktus gave a laugh. "Well, you remember you'll work for me one day. That all you need to know. Cause I have plans. You could fit into them if you allowed yourself." Sure he could stop Vangreath but what was the point to that. He'd allow him to fly off Kraktus tucking his hands behind his back. IT was annoying that there was another new hero trying to protect the planet but he could not do much about it. He'd just have to grit his teeth and bear with it. Kraktus floated and flew off in the opposite direction right after Vangreath got out of sight. He had work to do and no time to waste thinking about the poor fool.
