"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAH!" Ashi exclaimed with fury as she rocketed through the skies towards the giant ship that had been hovering in the air. It wasn't just any ship, though. It was the Saiyan Queen's ship! And, after that ridiculous display with Sensoa, who had decided to chicken out at the last minute, Ashi just had to talk with that lady. They were on the same side, after all, right? ...Well, mostly, anyway. Plus, there was something about Konats that Ashi really needed to see if she could talk to the Queen about. They'd met before, briefly, anyway - waaay back when on that space prison thing where she'd lobbed that one guy's leg off. Well, perhaps they hadn't really 'met' but Ashi was pretty sure they'd made eye contact at least once during that shtebang, and that she'd caused enough ruckus for the Queen to have glanced over at her before, too.
It only took a few minutes of flying before Ashi finally latched onto the side of the ship like an insect that had smacked against a windshield, and she started to crawl her way up towards the top like a spider. She'd been dressed up in her Star Goon uniform - had to look formal for a meeting like this, right? And her sword was sheathed at her side, just on the off chance that she had to get into a fight or something. Plus, she'd heard tell that the Saiyan Queen was big into swords, and seeing as how Ashi was an ardent blacksmith herself, that was totally something they could connect on! After scampering up the side of the ship, Ashi finally clambered up on top, and took a few deep breaths to catch her energy back. The air was a bit thin up here, next to this... Giant tower thing. What was that thing? ...Whatever.
Ordinarily, Ashi would've just busted through the side or something, but she was trying to make a good impression for this Saiyan lady, so being all cordial and stuff was probably kinda important. Now she just needed to find like, a door to knock on. Or a hatch, or something. But Ashi was having trouble finding one. So, instead of going through all that hassle, the Konatsian simply cupped her hands around her mouth, and shouted at the top of her lungs, "HEY MISS SAIYAN QUEEN, I'M HERE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT SOMETHIN'! I'LL JUST LEAVE A LITTLE NOTE WITH MY PHONE NUMBER ON IT IF YOU CAN'T TALK RIGHT NOW, THAT'S COOL WITH ME!" There, that was probably good enough. Ashi sat herself down cross legged and waited to see if the Queen would show up, now.

“Uhhh… Kayen” Barb’s voice chirped up just barely audible to the Queen since the scouter was not actually on her eye and instead on the table, as useful as the device was it was not entirely pleasant to wear it ALL the time, plus if she took it off she could pretend to not know when someone was calling her about something stupid. Right now she enjoying a meal with some of her crew down in the mess hall. “You’re not gonna win Uria, you’ve never even gotten CLOSE before” Kayen said taking a moments break to taunt the security officer as he continued trying to scarf down as many chicken wings as possible, Uria had been Raiti’s reigning competitive eating champion for a good five years before Kayen gave it a go, her saiyan biology and need for more food to fuel her incredible power had been too much for him. He had eventually joined her crew just to have more chances to test himself against her. He almost always came up short sadly, it DID however help his overall ability, a boon as Kayen had little interest in pursuing further eating challenges outside of the fun ‘rivalry’ she had with Uria. “Kaaayeeeeen” Barb’s voice called louder this time earning a sigh from the Queen “pause, Barb’s on the line” “there aint no pausin! its a competition!” “fine keep going, I’m still ahead” Kayen gestured at her plate with was still a bit ahead of Uria’s. The large alien took a long look before sighing and throwing in the towel. “Whats up Barb” “We’ve uh… got a situation? I think? Theres a woman crawling around on the hull of the ship, some of the cameras have picked up images of her that appear to show her outfit is similar to the Stargoon… uniform” Kayen could practically feel the air quotes “ Whats she doing?” silence for a few moments as Kayen presumed Barb was checking the camera’s and sensors again “Shouting for you? Shes uh sitting on top of the ship” Kayen raised an eyebrow curious and just a bit amused by the whole thing. “I’ll take care of it” Kayen waved to the others and took off heading for the lift, it brought her all the way up through the ship and out onto the upper hull “Alright, you wanted my attention you’ve got it” Kayen said her arms crossed over her chest as she stepped out spotting the woman and raising an eyebrow. She looked… familiar… “Wait… aren’t you the Stargoon that copped off Ochra’s leg?”

It took a surprisingly small amount of time before the Queen herself popped up from some lift a few dozen meters away from where Ashi sat. "Wow, I did not notice that thing," Ashi mumbled to herself as she stood up and dusted off her bright orange pants. Kayen was a lot quicker to recognize Ashi than the Konatsian had thought she would be, which actually made her kind of proud, in a way. "Yeah, that was me. He was trying to beat me up, after all, so I think he should've seen somethin' like that coming, personally. If you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk!" So, Ochra was that guy's name, huh? Pretty stupid sounding. Almost as stupid as how his face had looked after she'd slashed through his calves. But she wasn't here to talk and gloat about all that, she was here to see the Queen and talk to her!
"Anyway, your guy Sensoa hired us to rough up Central City - don't know if that was under your orders or not - but he totally pussied out just as we were starting to win. I hope the rest of your soldiers are made from thicker stuff than that guy, because, like, JESUS," Ashi had to stop herself from launching into another tangent, because, much as she wanted to see what the Queen had to say about that guy, too, that still wasn't what she'd showed up to talk to her about. "But, yeah, that guy sucks. Regardless, I wanted to talk to you 'bout somethin' else that I think would actually tickle your fancy. This one's uh, actually got nothin' to do with the Star Goons and all that," Ashi somewhat shyly looked down at her feet as her hand rose to rub the back of her neck. And was that a bit of red on her cheeks?
"It's personal for me, but probably all business and stuff for you, if that makes any sense. It's got to do with the World Trade Fleet, and then also my home planet, Konats. Y'see..." a gust of wind nearly blew Ashi's scouter glasses off mid sentence, and she had to brush her hair out of her face with annoyance clear as day in her eyes. "Actually, you mind if we go talk in your ship? It's mighty windy out here, and pretty chilly. And we don't have to shout quite as loud if we're talking inside! I promise I ain't up to no good, here, not that you couldn't super easily stop me if I were." She'd seen the demonstration of Kayen's Super Saiyan power, and it was not something Ashi was keen to ever be on the receiving end of.

“No need to explain yourself, I’m in full support of people wrecking Ochra’s shit” Kayen said with a grin, sure she had sort-of found a form of stable ground with the Bounty Hunter but in the same way she felt she had mostly stable ground with Vocado that would never mean she would not find amusement in the negatives in their lives. Ochra had earned what he had gotten, were he less willing to stand down she likely would have killed him for acting like a fool. Kayen sighed as the girl mentioned Sensoa and the Central City situation, she’d sort of hoped that his connection to the Kingdom would be less well known but of course her luck did not allow for such a thing, ultimately just more reason to get ahead of this idiocy and get in touch with Carro to make sure the pintsized president knew that while Sensoa was someone Kayen had been bringing into the Kingdom his actions had not been at her behest. “Yeah that debacle was all him, if I wanted an attack on Earth I wouldn't have sent one person, it also wouldn't have failed. Sensoa’s got personal issues with Earth that he decided to go wild and act on. It’s not entirely surprising something shook loose and broke his resolve to go ahead with whatever his plan was.” Kayen said a shrug “Probably works out for the best for him he did, my Commander would have torn him and probably the rest of you in half.”The woman had something she wanted to talk about other than Sensoa’s madness though which Kayen was thankful for and interestingly apparently had to do with the Fleet, perhaps this could end up being a way to pull the Goons away from them, it really WOULD be a pity to eventually have to kill this girl and Maple if they ended up standing alongside what amounted to a Fleet defense one day. “Yeah sure, come on in, we’ll head to my gym it's where I talk business” with a ‘follow me’ wave of the hand Kayen lead the Stargoon into the lift the whole thing pulling back down into the ship and taking them with it, a short trip later and the pair would be dropped off on the mid level of the ship “What’s your name by the way so I’ve got something to call you other than ‘Stargoon girl’ or ‘you’” Kayen asked as they stepped off and ventured down the hall and into the gym currently in its sparring configuration and thus devoid of the usual workout equipment and instead featuring a slightly elevated platform to act as an arena of sorts for sparring.

Oh, good, she understood that Ochra was a twat. Kayen might have been on the side of the goodies and all that - or whatever Mumbo liked to call them - but she did seem like a pretty cool Queen to have had. If only Riis was like her, then Ashi wouldn't have had so much of an issue with him trying to take over the planet and all that. Kayen also seemed quite confident about her chances of conquering Earth, which, well, Ashi couldn't blame. They probably would've won themselves if Sensoa hadn't been so much of an idiot and pussied out at the last minute. God, even mentioning that guy's name sent an ill shiver down her spine. Ashi just hoped she'd never have to bump into that moron again. Maybe he'd just end up killing himself - he had kind of seemed like that was what he wanted to do, after he'd failed and all.
And what was also good was the fact that they could get out of this stupidly cold air up top the ship. "Okay, thank you," Ashi quickly replied as she scurried after the woman and rode the lift down with her. Even inside the seemingly cold, metallic interior of the ship, it was much warmer and cozier than the windy area up top had been. "Oh yeah, I'm Ashi. My friends call me... Ashi." Right, no nickname for a name so short as hers. Maybe 'Ash'. ...Nah. "And you're Kayen, right? I mean, I know it's somethin' like that, but I dunno if I've been pronouncing it correctly." She followed the Saiyan Queen further into the ship once the lift door opened back up, and eventually they found themselves in something resembling a gym of sorts. "Wow, this thing is huge," Ashi said in reference to the whole ship as she looked around. "You could fit, like, six people in here!"
Her own little space pod sure was cramped and tiny in comparison to this behemoth, but it was still good enough to get the job done. It just got kind of painful when she felt like she needed to stretch her legs, only to find that there was no room to do so. That sure made all the trips feel long. Anyway, she supposed she should bring up what she had to talk to Kayen about. "Okay, right, so - let's just ignore the whole fact that I've technically been working under the World Trade Fleet for the past bit. Because, like, honestly, I never cared for those guys. They're just... Evil, and boring. And I don't think we even technically work for 'em anymore. But that's besides the point. So, I was watching the news a few days ago, and I saw there was this big battle goin' on over on Arcose 'bout some kind of coronation ceremony."
"Normally I wouldn't give two shits about that, but I saw someone familiar in the footage." She had definitely seen him, for there was no mistaking that spiky, red hair alongside those pointy ears and that general smug aura about the guy. It was None other than... "Riis, the guy trying to take ownership of my home planet, is apparently going to be working with the Fleet to do so. Y'see, a while back he tried to do it by himself, but he's like a total shithead, so I went and stopped him, but he ordered his bruiser of a brother to beat me up afterwards, cause he's too weak on his own." Ashi scowled just thinking about how angry she'd been at the time, but continued nonetheless. "So, I was thinkin', since you hate the Fleet, and I hate Riis, that you might not be mega opposed to maybe helping me out if they try some funny business on my planet? ...It's Konats, by the way."

“Mhm, the one and only.” Kayen said giving a nod to Ashi to confirm she had pronounced her name properly as they arrived at the gym, Kayen raised an eyebrow at the Stargoon’s technically accurate assumption of the Stormbreaker’s crew capacity but decided not to make any comment on it, she WAS right after all. Once they settled into the gym it was time to talk business and Ashi was quick to lay out her reasons for seeking Kayen out and to make it clear she held no personal interest in sticking with the Fleet and was actually unsure if the Stargoons as a whole were even still affiliated with them, all very useful information to Kayen as it theoretically made the job of recruiting them all the easier if they were no longer friendly with the Fleet. Then she moved onto the Arcose Coronation, and the fact that she had apparently spotted someone she knew involved in it, Kayen had not been paying much mind on the Arcose front, if Chill wanted to throw some stupid party to declare himself leader of Arcose that was fine by her, it meant that when she inevitably took off for Arcose she might finally get a chance to stab the idiot, getting to have an actual fight to claim her next territory would be all the better. She had heard some vague rumblings about a battle but had decided to only pay mind to it when she was back on Vegeta, probably just a scuffle between Chill and some other uppity Arcosian who wanted to rule. Apparently though Chill had friends with similar goals of dominance over their planets, and by Ashi’s comments this Riis and his brother were enough to fend her off, perhaps even enough to pose a decent challenge considering the Stargoon had come to HER rather than just gathering her team. “I don’t really HATE the Fleet, they’re just in my way. But I am always down for a fight” Kayen said just before Ashi clarified the planet she was from, the planet Riis aimed to rule, Kayen blinked a few times as she processed what Ashi had just said. Konats. “Wait, Konats?” It made sense, Ashi was pretty clearly a Konatsian, when she’d started talking about her planet Kayen had mostly assumed she was not a native Konatsian, or maybe a hybrid, after all while Vegeta was the homeworld of the Saiyans Kayen did not consider it HER home. But with the context that she was talking about Konats… A weak ruler, a powerful protective brother? “You said this Riis guy had a brother to protect him, what was his name? Was it Typha” Kayen questioned, she coulden’t even begin to understand HOW it could be that Typha’s brother would be such a fool as to throw his lot in with the Fleet, she’d explicitly given Typha the heads up to make an offer to his brother about a partnership with HER, allying with the Fleet over her was suicidally idiotic, she could accept wanting to remain unaffiliated, but actively aligning with her enemy? Did Typha know about this?

"You don't hate the Fleet?" Ashi replied, a little bit surprised, admittedly. Saiyans and the World Trade Fleet were supposed to be, like, mortal enemies, right? Like Mario and Baoser, Tom and Perry, Sanic and Eggman, the two were pretty much created to be opposed to each other! Although, she supposed Kayen didn't seem too much like most Saiyans. Well, in terms of her sense of authority and apparent restraint when it came to punching things in the face, anyway. Plus, she didn't have one of those monkey tails, for whatever reason, whether it happened to have been removed in some way, or she simply lacked one. Ashi didn't really care enough to ask, in all truthfulness. "Well, that's a surprise. Didn't they like, pillage and raid your home planet and stuff a year ago or so? I remember getting a bit of a boost in business for a bit back then, 'cause everyone thought the whole galaxy was about to get to war."
That probably wouldn't have made sense, actually, without further context. "I used t'be a blacksmith, you see. Uh, here," Ashi fumbled a bit with the sword that was sheathed at her side, somewhat clumsily getting it out of its scabbard before carefully presenting it to the Saiyan Queen to take a good look at. "This one's my latest work, so I'm pretty proud of it, personally. Don't usually think to name my weapons, but I've been browsing my options on this one. What do you think of Genuvade? I've been growing a bit fond of it, it roughly means 'leg slasher' in an old Konatsian dialect." She hoped Kayen would understand the reference there, given the fact that she was present for where its namesake had been derived from, and she gave the woman a wink before putting the thing away.
As for Kayen's odd questions about the royal family, Ashi gave her a nod. "Yeah, that's the guy. I don't rather like him. You see, he uh, got me killed, once upon a time. Then he wished me and the rest of the people he got killed back to life, I suppose, but that doesn't mean I ain't still pissed at him for makin' me die in the first place!" Ashi grew a bit red faced as she described the situation, though she quickly calmed down and let out a sigh. "So, yeah, don't like the guy. Or his brother. And neither of 'em is suited for being the King, though I guess Typha'd be a little better than Riis, I begrudgingly suppose." Ashi rolled her eyes at the thought. "The only real issue is how tough he is, and how tough his allies are. So, like, I know technically we're enemies here, but I ain't asking you as a Star Goon, I'm, uh, askin' you as just regular old Ashi. A concerned citizen of Konats, if you will."

Kayen let out a chuckle at Ashi’s reaction, she supposed it made sense, she was the Queen of the Saiyans and the Saiyans despised the Fleet for the attack, along with all the whole ‘generations of war’ deal, but Kayen lacked that same connection that everyone else had, the Fleet were ultimately just an opponent to her, no more important than anyone else who stood in her path but equally no less potentially useful. “I guess to start explaining it, Vegeta isn’t my home. I’m a Saiyan but I wasn’t born there, wasn’t rasied there, hell the first day I set foot on the planet was the day the Kingdom took it back under it’s control. I grew up far far away from Vegeta, the only place other than home I’ve really had half a chance to consider home was Raiti” and Raiti wasn’t home, not really, a fun place to be, great memories and all, but it wasn’t really a home. “Where I grew up the Fleet and all their many other incarnations weren’t really important, not enough to make a big deal of instilling generations of pettiness, I’ve got all my own unique pettiness” Kayen said with a grin, Ashi went on to explain what had kept her busy, she was apparently a blacksmith and had made the blade she wielded, Kayen liked that a lot, were it not for its uniqueness and the connection to her family Kayen would have loved the idea of making her own blade, something perfectly honed to her needs. Granted, the end result probably would just be a version of Fateburn at least now, she could scarcely think of wielding anything else, another long laugh came as Ashi revealed the blades name and its meaning “thats perfect, If you even THINK about changing it I’ll stab you” Kayen said still chuckling perhaps making it a touch difficult to tell if she was being genuine about the stabbing. The laughter however ended as Ashi explained that yes the brother in question WAS Typha, at least however while she clearly held some distaste for him it was not entirely unsalvageable “Thats what I was worried about, fucking hell Typha” Kayen said with a groan shaking her head “Alright, so ordinarily I’d be all in on your request, toppling some idiot off his throne would be fun” “But.”“I need to get this shit figured out, I know Typha, hes an ally of mine, helped us round up the Dragon Balls on Namek, all he wanted was to fix his fuck up, to his credit one he’s more than willing to admit was his fuck up. My hope was that when I took Vegeta he’d head home and take over Konats, for the help he extended to me I decided to extend a deal to him to help Konats. Partnership with my Kingdom, Konats continues to govern itself and we protect eachothers backs. I offered it since I expected him to be King, but the brother became a… complication, Typha was supposed to head back home, offer the deal, and then we’d figure things out from there. But I got nothing, and I was too busy dealing with Vegeta to head there myself. ”“If he DID tell Riis, the fucker is suicidal. Typha knows what I’m about, I can ignore a rejected deal, Typha’s decent and a good sparring partner, I’d just have non inclination to protect Konats if Riis didn’t want it, maybe work something different out if ever someone DID come knocking. But turning it down and then siding with the Fleet? I might not hate them, but they’re sitll my enemy, and joining them over me would be an insult, and I dont like insults” Kayen grit her teeth in frustration “So before I give a yes, I need to figure that part out. I’ll say this much though, Riis isnt getting the throne”“Typha is… not around.. Right now, I know a guy who knows where he’s at. My bet is Typha doesnt know shit about this Fleet idiocy. So me, you, and Typha can sort shit out. Riis doesn’t get a vote, you two can figure something out. Maybe you two try co-leading like me and Vocado until one of you kicks the others ass. If it goes that way I reccomend training your ass off, he’s getting some unique training”

Other planets had Saiyans on them? ...Well, yeah, that much was obvious, seeing how they were definitely not on Vegeta, and Ashi had most certainly seen her fair share of Saiyans roaming about the place, but, still, she had to have assumed the Queen of a planet had to have been born there. She certainly wouldn't have expected to hear that, say, the World Trade Fleet had a boss that wasn't an Arcosian whose heritage lay on Arcose, or that Konats' ruler wasn't a pure blooded Konatsian from Konats. Of course, it wasn't like she had any actual issues with who was born where, and so on, but it did come as a subversion of her expectations. "Raiti... Is that that space prison we last met at? Or, wait, that was Knutts, right? I don't think I've actually heard of Raiti," Ashi replied, scratching her chin as her mind tried to search back for some mention of the planet, to no avail.
It was probably a smaller planet, from the way Kayen talked about it, though it was kind of difficult to piece together how the Fleet had somehow managed to avoid influencing her upbringing. Even over on Konats, Ashi had known and seen the World Trade Fleet's influence throughout most of her life, from the occasional Arcosian asserting their dominance over other planets on the news, or even some encounters with patrolmen on her own planet. Perhaps Raiti was simply so remote they managed to dodge the eyes of the military force well enough for them to not consider it worth conquering. Not that she thought they'd have a particularly easy time with it anyway, if there were lots of people like Kayen and the rest of those Saiyans over there. Could anyone even beat them? Certainly not Ashi.
"Alright, Genuvade it is!" Ashi confirmed, giving her blade a playful little swing around before she stuck it back into its sheathe. She didn't want to get stabbed by, like, the most powerful woman in the galaxy, so renaming it didn't seem like an option. And it was admittedly hard to tell whether or not Kayen had actually been joking about the stab. The real meat and potatoes of the conversation had come after Ashi revealed the person she spoke of to be Typha, however, and Kayen broke out into a surprisingly long explanation of the situation. "Wait... You were gonna back Typha when it came to getting the throne?" Ashi replied in a mix of shock and disgust. Well, she supposed that did make some sense, if all Kayen had seen of Typha was him trying to revive his people. She would've had no way of knowing about all the other stuff he was responsible for.
"Alright, alright, that's fine, I can understand why you'd wanna do that," she quickly added, not wanting to offend the Queen standing in front of her. Though she found it a bit harder to trust Kayen's ideas after learning about her previous trust in Typha, she did rather enjoy the Queen's anti Riis policies, many of which she found herself quite personally agreeing with, which brought a smile upon her face. "From what I can tell of the Riis guy, he's been raised since his birth by his folks, the former King and Queen, to basically think that becoming King is his birthright. He doesn't actually deserve the position in the slightest, he's just... Pampered, and stupid! I totally destroyed him when I argued with him, and he just had Typha knock me unconscious once he realized I had a point! What kinda ruler is that?"
Boy, how Ashi relished the image of someday getting to return to Konats and personally return the favor upon Riis' face herself. It almost sounded like a dream, too good to be true, the more she thought about it. Although, she had to add on to Kayen's last suggestion with a shake of her head. "Oh, uh, no. I mean, no to the joint ruling thing. I don't want to become Queen or anything resembling that in the slightest, no offense. There's like, a lot of other people who'd do that job better than me, yeah? Plus, I'm evil, remember? And I don't want someone evil being in charge of Konats, they all deserve someone better than me. I'm sure there's better candidates than any of the three of us, we just gotta find 'em."
One last thing was bugging her, though. Namely, how Kayen was speaking of Typha's current state. Was he off on some distant planet training with some revered master of martial arts? "Where's Typha at? And what kinda training is he supposedly getting? Oh, that guy, I'll just... Train twice as hard and get twice as strong as he ever will be! Then he won't be able to do shit with his 'special training'!"

“Raiti’s a pirate haven, when I left home It’s where I ended up since I joined up with a pirate crew. I’m sure some of the other Stargoons have spent some time there” Kayen offered with a shrug, if Ashi remained curious about Raiti she would offer a more thorough explanation of that it was like there but she doubted the Stargoon was particularly interested in a history lesson and Kayen was not overly interested in giving one. The more Ashi expanded on the Riis situation the less Kayen liked the guy, sure she was aware that everything she was getting on him was from a blatantly biased source, but if even half of what Ashi was saying was accurate then Kayen’s already dispassionate disposition toward the mystery brother of Typha was already soured. “He sounds like exactly what I expected out of Vocado. I left Raiti to hunt him down when I found out about the Fleet’s invasion and his eventual rise to become King. When I eventually caught up to him he wasn’t quite what I expected, not a complete pampered weakling, but still had just enough of that superior ‘elite’ behavior and weakness that I decided to go through with my plan to take over. From what you’ve told me it seems there isn’t much more to Riis than that. It’s a pity, while you might not like him Typha is a decent guy.” Kayan said pausing as Ashi started up again explaining her disinterest in becoming Queen or just taking over at all. “Good and Evil aren’t quite that simple. You want Konats to do well, to have someone leading it that will do right by its people. Thats what it seems like Konats needs, Typha wants the same, the only reason he did not take the throne is because he doesn’t think hes right for it either, and because his brother was the one who was ‘supposed’ to take it.”“Sometimes, if you want to see something change, you need to do it yourself. I held no real interest in taking Vegeta until I saw how badly it needed fixing, it was never going to fix itself, they would just keep putting the wrong person on the throne until eventually the Fleet or someone else finally killed them all. I’m not saying the pair of you should or have to be the ones to lead forever, just until you can find someone who can do it better.” Kayen explained, vaguely she held similar interests for Vegeta. She had no REAL interest in being stuck administering the Saiyan homeworld forever, she had other more… expansive goals. “He’s training with a Kai, if that helps illuminate the quality of his training at all. Not a normal Shinjin, one of the top guys” Kayen explained still omitting the fact that he was only doing so because Typha was also currently DEAD.

"A pirate haven? That explains the eyepatch," Ashi replied with a nod, only realizing that that was probably a somewhat insensitive statement after it had long left her mouth. "I mean, the eyepatch looks cool! Way better than those cyberkinetic eyes I see some people with. Those look... Odd." Saved it. She was quite glad that it seemed she was getting through to Kayen about how much of a jerkface the Riis guy was, on the other hand. It was almost maddening living on Konats and having so many of her neighbors and other friends simply shrug and reply 'it is what it is' when she'd complain about him to them. People had simply become so entrenched in the idea that the royal family was an unchangeable thing, no matter how bad the King was. Did they forget that people used to just have huge revolutions when they hated the royal family? Where they cut all their heads off?
That wasn't exactly what Ashi had in mind, but she wouldn't have exactly minded if that were to happen. This Vocado guy Kayen was describing sounded annoying too, and she let out a chuckle and nodded after he'd finished. "Alright, so imagine Vocado, except minus the actual strength, and he killed you, and then ordered his bodyguard to beat you up afterwards." Now that Kayen was actually trying to talk Ashi into the whole 'Queen' thing, the Orange Star Goon decided she may as well listen, slightly grimacing as she thought about ruling together with Typha, but she had to admit there were worse alternatives. "But, like..." she started to protest again. "Okay, between you and me... The Star Goons are evil, and I don't really mind that, and I'm just kind of going along in the sake of getting stronger."
"But now I'm known as one of the 'evil Star Goons'. If I go and put myself in charge of Konats, that paints a bad picture for the whole planet, and it also makes the planet a target for 'heroes' looking to slay some evil overlord - namely, me. But then if they do kill me again, that'll just leave a whole power vacuum on Konats I do not want everyone getting caught up in. You understand, right?" She hoped Kayen would. Ashi could care less about the people of Earth she was being hired to occasionally terrorize, but Konats being caught in the crossfire? That wasn't something she could ever see herself negotiating. "...And what's a 'kai'? Some martial arts master?"

“I had a chance to get a cybernetic eye but decided against it, my energy sensing abilities cover most of the negatives of being down an eye and this” Kayen tapped next to the eye “acts as a constant reminder and keeps me on my toes” she also had to agree that the cybernetic eye DID feel a bit ‘off’ at least unless you really went all out to get one that was mostly indistinguishable from a real eye. Kayen smirked at Ashi’s comparison, she certainly painted a very bleak picture of what Riis was like, Kayen was relatively sure he was at least a bit better than what the Konatsian had to say about him but even being marginally better definitely didn’t seem good enough the only issue that came up from this was Ashi’s hesitance to take the throne. “And I’m the evil space pirate to maimed Vocado to take the throne from him, sometimes the ‘bad guys’ are the best fit to lead, and even if you don't want Konats to be ruled by someone ‘evil’ then it simply encourages someone, ideally a Konatsian to rise to the challenge of being the better fit for the throne. Plus, the ‘good’ people of the universe are far less inclined to depose than you might imagine.”“I’ve had only one person step to me whose aim was to remove me from power for who I am. He had no backup, not even from Vocado who was there when he issued his challenge. Just a single idiot, who I killed” Kayen said with a casual shrug “If you’re really dead set against it yourself then you should look to find someone who you think DOES belong on the throne. ‘Cause if you want to avoid a power vacuum there ain’t much we can do” “They’re uh… technically gods? They aren’t actually as tough as you’d expect out of a god but the one hes training with apparently knows his shit”

A constant reminder, huh? Ashi might've liked to have had one of those to keep her thinking about how much she'd have like to get back at Riis and Typha for what they did to her, but then she'd be walking around with a cracked skull and four bullets in her chest - not quite as practical as just an eyepatch. Besides, she had plenty of other reminders constantly keeping her mind focused on her goal. Namely, how much weaker she felt than everyone else around her; pretty much every other Star Goon packed or could take more of a punch than she was capable of herself, and her total inability to do anything once that redheaded President had arrived on the scene over in Central City just had her feeling pissed off. After all, if she couldn't do anything to a ginger midget like that guy, what chance did she have against someone like Typha?
Again, Kayen had a good point, though. The Pirate Queen herself wasn't exactly the spitting image of someone with a golden moral compass or a totally clean record, but there she stood, practically the most powerful person in the galaxy, uncontested in her rule of one of the universe's largest Kingdoms. Granted, that probably had something to do with the woman's overwhelming strength, so maybe all Ashi needed to do was get way stronger herself, first. That was her goal anyway, so it worked out! "Mmmaybe you're right," she slowly replied, scratching her chin and tilting her head to the side as she pondered the one eyed Saiyan's proposal. "I mean, I can count on your help to back me up if something goes haywire, right? I bet even the sight of you would make any bastards who show up to cause trouble tremble in fear."
Nobody really did come to mind when she tried to think of somebody well suited to the throne, truth be told. Most of the people from her village were just regular folks who'd never even dream of such a thing, including herself, until she had gotten the wake up call in the form of a robot machinegunning her to death. Somehow, it hadn't seemed to have had quite as much of an impact on the other folks around her. "Training with gods?" Ashi replied, her thick, green eyebrows furrowing as she only just registered what Kayen had said. "Uhh, okay, then. I don't know what kind of royal strings he had to pull to get that kind of training, but it just means I'll have to push myself thrice as hard!" Ashi pumped her fists in front of her, feeling some kind of fire reignited in her chest. Was this what it felt like to feel super passionate about something?
"Oh, but us Star Goons aren't allowed to lay claim to any territory, so don't tell Mumbo or anybody about what I'm planning here. He'll probably think I'm being too much of a 'goodie goodie'." She rolled her eyes at the thought, but she genuinely didn't want to just abandon the Star Goons as they were. They'd almost become like a second family to her at this point. As an aside, though, she had to admit she was curious... Just how strong was Kayen? "Hey, I have something of an odd request," she asked the Queen. "Um, do you think you could get all gold and glowy and stuff, and just let me go and hit you as hard as I possibly can? I'm sure it would hardly even scratch ya, but, uh, I just wanna see where you think I'm at right now, strength wise."

“I made an offer to Typha not long after I became Queen, when I assumed he was going to be the one to take over Konats. A partnership with the Kingdom, pretty much complete immunity from any interest I might have in expanding the Kingdoms reach as long as any interest Konats might have in expanding it’s own borders remains away from the Kingdom’s. In turn we would also protect each other, obviously the Kingdom’s in a bit better of a position to do defending but I don’t much care that the deal isn't quite ‘even’ right now. Typha was, and presumably still is driven enough that I knew he’d one day be someone who COULD fight to protect the Kingdom if it meant his world was protected in turn.” Kayen was curious just how strong Typha was now, could he actually give her a decent fight yet? Whatever training that King Kai guy was giving him had better be worth any delays to his revival. “I’m fine with offering the same thing to you, for pretty much the same reasons. You’ve got a similar sort of fire that I saw in him when we first met, as long as you don't get yourself killed anytime soon I can see you giving him a run for his money. You’ve got a lot of very good reasons to get stronger. Sorta like me when I went after Vegeta” Kayen said with a grin, Ashi might still be playing catch up with Typha but with a bit of effort on her part Kayen was sure she’d make things interesting. “I don't think it had much to do with royalty, I cant imagine the Kais give much of a shit about that. But yeah use that as ammo to get stronger, as for the Goons. If he ends up finding out maybe spin it as Konats being a good place for the Goons to set up shop, its, no offense, not exactly a center of galactic activity. It’d be a good place for you guys to meet with prospective employers, and with a ‘Goon at the helm of Konats there isn't any reason for them to worry about getting arrested or whatever. Not that there's many people who COULD arrest any of you.” Kayen offered with a shrug, she didn’t have any incentive to tell any of the other Goons anyway so she’d keep the secret if necessary. “You’re gonna hate when I say this. But Typha asked pretty much the same thing back when I first unlocked Super Saiyan. If it helps ease the sting, it didn’t go very well for him” Kayen said with a grin before turning and heading to the middle of the room onto the elevated platform rolling her shoulders as she stood in the rough middle of it. “Lets see if Barb made those adjustments to the room she was supposed to do, if not things might get a bit rough” Kayen said with another grin as her power began to surge, first the ruby around her neck beginning to glow as her aura became visible taking on a red tone similar to the gem, then very suddenly her aura shifted from red to gold followed swiftly by an explosion of power that briefly caused the platform to shift and shake as if Kayen were physically pushing it back. The platform with only a bit of sparking remained strong “Ah good, last time I tried that it caused everything to explode” Kayen remarked with clear amusement, Barb had been IMMENSELY frustrated by the almost complete destruction of the trianing room and the expectation that she would fix and improve it. “Ready when you are”

Kayen had made Typha and offer? Well, why the hell was Riis going on to side with the World Trade Fleet, in that case? Was he just that bitter about his brother being offered some lofty position that he wanted to go directly compete with him? Either way, Ashi was just happy to have a clearer vision of the level of incompetence that soared through the heads of royalty, which just about only made her determination to get strong enough to go kick some ass and take some names stronger than ever. The Saiyan Queen even seem convinced herself that Ashi had the potential to go give Typha a run for his money, which certainly brought a smile across the fringes of her lips, her thick, green eyebrows furrowing alongside her smile as she proudly declared, "Oh, you can count on that. Nobody's snuffing me out until I've at least stomped a few Princes' heads into the dirt, first."
Well, maybe she'd let Typha off with a warning - a warning in the form of him being beaten into a pulp, of course - after all, it sounded like he was at least trying his best out there. He'd had the sense to go ahead and ally with this behemothly powerful Queen instead of some lizards. "Anyway... I'll talk things over with him when I see him. Maybe figure out somethin' that works for everyone. I'm definitely not letting him off totally scott free for all the shit hes pulled, though!" Ashi huffed out some air through her nose as she finished speaking, her pointed ears lowering themselves against the sides of her head. "...Wait, Typha wanted to try that, too?" she found herself asking in slight surprise. She hadn't exactly pieced him as someone who'd go for that kinda thing.
That didn't mean she wasn't still gonna do it herself, though! Ashi braced herself As Kayen's aura began to glow something fierce, before a burst of power from the Saiyan blew Ashi's hair from her forehead and nearly caused her to stumble back slightly from the sheer force of power before her, until everything calmed itself back down, and the fully powered up Kayen stood in front of her. "You know, I'm gonna really enjoy it when I get as strong as you," Ashi said with a chuckle as she cracked her neck back and forth, taking her sword out of its sheathe and focusing her ki best she could. Her power began to double, then it tripled, and finally, it peaked at quadruple the strength it had been before, Ashi's ki glowing a bright orange all around her. "I can only hold this power for like a little bit," she stated, "But here it is - coming at you with all I've got!"
The Konatsian's blade shone with a burning energy, and she swung it forward at full force, the mighty sheen of the sword glinting in the ship's internal lighting as it pierced through the air and slammed right at Kayen, with even more power than what had removed Ochra's leg many weeks prior. Surely this would at least leave a mark, right?
