There was nothing really left to do for the next few days but to wait. The radar, while accurate, unfortunately, had a function where it would overheat if used too much. Generally, when she was on the hunt Kon would use all the battery it had before it overheated, generally making it just by a margin. It sucked, but that was, unfortunately, one of the design flaws that Shimi had told her about. There was no way around it. Sighing, Kon found herself resigned to just wait for it to happen. Well, at least she had another new town to explore.
She had never been to Ginger Town before, and it was rather exciting, especially when she heard that vampires used to be here. It seemed like it could be something cool to explore, but most likely on a later date. Right now, she just wanted to spend some time relaxing. As a result, she made her way to the town’s park. It was a rather beautiful day with the sun shining brightly and patches of clouds making it prime for cloud watching. And so that was what she chose to do.
Making her way to the grass, Kon took a moment to pat the spot dry before lying down with her hands behind the back of her head. She took a deep breath and tried to relax. However, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of remembrance as she thought about the activities that she used to engage in with Bloom. Yeah, that was now gone. It was nothing more than a memory of the past. As much as it hurt, Kon needed to find a way to move on from it. She didn’t want to feel this way each time she laid down like this, or perhaps saw a majin. She just wanted to have the normality in her life back.
But as long as Tarch wanted to revive their mother, that was never going to happen. Kon was determined to put a stop to this once and for all. While she did have great help from Saizomaru, she couldn’t help but wonder if it was enough. Kon was a formidable foe herself as well, but compared to the other threats on Earth any potential opponents she was not enough. Besides, she wouldn’t mind splitting the wish by three. Any power was better than nothing. But for now, that would be a thought for the future. Right now, Kon just wanted to try and enjoy herself at least.

“Oh come on, Garon, this’ll be healthy for you!”
“No, it- OW!”
The back of Garon’s head hit the roof of the dinky rental van as Tria made a sharp turn on a bumpy gravel road. “Ok, well maybe *that* wasn’t good for you. Should’ve had your seatbelt on!” Tria said, keeping her eyes and smile on the road. “What- no, that’s not what I’m talking about!”, Garon said, cautious of cursing in front of his mother. With everything that had been happening recently, his mom was just about the only person he couldn’t get mad at, even if he tried. “I mean, why are we *here* of all places? This is Ginger Town, right? Shouldn’t we be, y’know, back at home?” Tria turned on her blinker and eased the car to a stop as she waited for her chance to turn. “Well, I just thought you needed a break, is all! So much stuff has been happening recently. There was that thing with West City, the moon, Central City, and I don’t even need to mention the… other stuff.” She didn’t want to mention Garon’s hostage situation failure with Maple. Garon felt bad enough about it as it was.
The car began to accelerate again as their destination came ever closer. Truth be told, Garon didn’t want to go on a “vacation” like this. He had a plan in mind and taking a break like this wasn’t going to help put that plan into action. But then again, maybe he needed it. One could call it the calm before the storm.
Eventually, the two reached Ginger Town and after having some trouble with the trunk, began to unload their small bags of luggage. “You sure picked a uh… uneventful place for a vacation,” Garon noted. “Oh, what are you talking about? This is great! There’s so many different forms of Earth fruits and vegetables here!”, Tria responded gleefully. Garon rolled his eyes as he continued pulling his luggage behind him. “Yeah, right. It’s not like we’ve lived here my entire life, or anything. What makes food so interesting?” he asked. The two had approached a marketplace; people were selling their fresh produce left and right. If Garon had been in a better mood, he might have had fun picking and choosing what to buy.
“Here, I’ll show you!”, Tria said, determined to prove her point. “Meet me back here in an hour or so. I’ll find some foods so good you’ll have no choice but to admit I’m right!” Garon shrugged. “Whatever.” The two went their separate ways for the time being; Tria dove headfirst into the marketplace, and Garon decided to check out the nearby park to give himself something to do while he waited.
The park was about what he expected, even if it was a little boring. He was about to take a seat in the shade until the sight of a familiar face caught his eye. Garon decided to approach her. “Geez, what the hell is it with you and parks?”, he asked. Garon sat down on the grass next to her. “What’re you doing all the way out here? Satan City sucks ass, but it’s not nearly as boring as the *middle of nowhere*.”

It seemed that the world was much smaller than she remembered it being. Everywhere she went, she continued to encounter the same faces, this time it was a certain doragon that she had met back in Satan City and had given a pep talk to. By now though, the circumstances had drastically changed. While Kon was arguably at the lowest point of her life when visiting the park there, she was now slowly climbing back up with this new goal of dragon balls in her mind. It was change that she reflected as well, seeming a lot more lively and less depressing than she was those short weeks ago. "I did not expect to see you here," Kon said with a hint of surprise in her tone as he took a seat right next to her.
"Well, you know parks happen to be a homeless person's best friend." Kon said with a hint of a jest in her voice. "Benches, food in the trash from barbecues, all that stuff. It's like a haven." While this might have remained true to her at one point, things have drastically changed since then. The only reason why she came to the park now despite being able to afford food and staying at a hotel that wasn't cheap was that it was one of the few place where she could get some peace and quiet and enjoy nature. But still, she had to admit Garon did have a point about being out here in the middle of nowhere out of all places. "I could ask the same for you." She began her reply to the doragon.
Now what should she say? Tell him the truth? While Garon didn't seem particularly like the type of person to do so, or even know what the dragon balls even were in the first place, it still wasn't a risk that she wanted to take quite yet. Maybe for now she could settle on something like the half truth, "Well I'm on a quest. Said journey happened to bring me out to the middle of nowhere." Well she wasn't able to figure out where the next ball was quite yet, but she was so close! Kon could just feel it. The weight of the two other balls in her pocket gave her motivation to continue forward. But right now, it was a daunting task in front of her, especially when she had only lucked out on encountering someone else.

"Me? Eh, I'm not out here for any good reason in particular.", Garon said. "My mom's worried that I'm stressin' myself out or something, so she dragged me all the way out here for some kinda weird... 'vacation' thing." While Garon appreciated his mother's efforts, he didn't make much of an effort himself to hide how weirded out he was with this family trip. So far, seeing Kon again was the only remotely good thing that had happened, save for Tria being ecstatic about the foods here. And though he wouldn't say it outright, he felt like he had more important things to do. Kon went on to talk about how she as on some kind of journey or quest, and that it had led her here of all places. "A quest, huh? Well that's fuckin' cryptic...", Garon noted. "What kinda quest are you talking about? Like, the kind where you gotta grab something for someone and return it to them? Or the kind where you play hitman for someone and kill some dude 'cause they said so?" Garon paused for a second. "If it's the latter, I'll have to stop you. That'd be a real shitty situation for the both of us, right?" Strangely enough, Garon said that in an almost laid-back tone, like he was saying something he wouldn't act on. "But it's whatever. I'm kinda on my own weird mission-quest-whatever-you-wanna-call-it. If it all comes together, it'll make everyone's lives a whole lot easier, y'know?" Garon started pulling out a couple blades of grass from the field, only to throw them into the wind moments after. "There's a whole lotta shit that I gotta do to make it work, and when most of that stuff's impossible to do, then well... things might not work out." For a second, he hesitated. Garon knew just how incredibly risky this plan of his was. If he messed it up, he'd lose almost everything he'd gained since the day he was able to fight. His reputation, his friends, and even his life could all burn up in a fiery inferno. But he knew he had to try. Kon

Well, Kon wasn't going to question why his mother thought that this was a good place for a vacation but at least she had someone she knew for a bit that she could talk to. "I hope you enjoy it, I guess." She said, "Not sure what is here to actually do though." Aside from looking around at a town that looked almost the exact same as many of the other places scattered across the Earth or eating whatever special cuisine they had here it seemed like a pretty boring vacation in her opinion. Whatever floats their boats, she presumed.
Kon was caught off guard when Garon began to assume what quest she was on. Well, the latter part wasn't wrong. She did have someone to kill, but that was something no one really needed to know about. "Oh no, not at all." She said shaking her head with a bit more intensity than was needed. "I guess you can say it's some sort of fetch quest, I have to find some things and bring them all together." Kon said, trying to keep her description of what she wanted to do as vague as possible. But it was a bit difficult to do so without outright saying dragon balls, but she still managed somehow.
Soon, Garon began to talk about his own goals which once again put Kon's motivations to shame. He was like Saizo, a heroic person with motivations that would benefit the good of everyone as opposed to selfish desires. It seemed like people like them were appearing in her life far more often than they really should nowadays. "Same, there's stuff I want to do as well but right now it's pretty much impossible for me." Sighing, Kon allowed herself to fall back into the grass whilst looking upward at the sky. "What I'm going to do includes a high risk of death, especially looking at the history. But, my life feels like it's already over anyways. It's not like it would really matter." Kon said with a weak chuckle.
Maybe she should get some help as well. She just wanted enough power to do what she wanted to do with her mother, then afterwards she would be completely content if she were to die once it was complete. She had nothing else to do with her life, and in the end Kon was just an outsider with no place in this world.

"That's what I'm sayin'. There's nothing to do here except be bored. I'd rather be somewhere- hell, anywhere more exciting than this dump." Garon shrugged his shoulders. "But at least I found someone to talk to. Guess I can't complain." The way this conversation had been developing was... interesting, to say the least. Kon was surprisingly reluctant to share any real information about that quest of hers, only giving Garon vague details. That meant that the quest was something he wasn't supposed to know about, which is why he precisely why had to know about it. "Alright, look," Garon said bluntly. "First off, lives are nothin' to play with. Most people only have one, so you'd better make the most of it, 'k? You don't really get to appreciate how nice being alive is until you well... aren't. Trust me on this one." He elected not to dive into his past once again, but given his experience with death he wanted to give Kon a warning. It'd be a shame to see someone in as bad of a situation as her die.
"...which leads me to my next point. If what you're trying to do is really dangerous, then let me help you out a little. I probably don't look like it, but I'm kinda really, really strong. Like, superhero strong." To demonstrate what he meant, he'd be covered in blue light, still lying peacefully in the grass.
][UT] Disarm undone! New PL: 280,120 "Lookin' back on it, I probably should've told you about that back in Satan City," Garon said. "But back then, I was takin' a little break from the whole 'hero' thing. Turns out, hero business is pretty tough." He looked up at the clouds. "There's a whole buncha decisions you've gotta make, and you've always gotta make the right one every time. And when ya don't, things get... complicated."

"Well, sometimes misery loves company." Kon said jokingly in response to Garon's words. Well, she didn't particularly mind being here right now. There were much worse places to be on Earth than in Ginger Town, but she did at least want to try and lift his spirits somewhat, almost like he did to her back in Satan City. But out of nowhere, he was becoming increasingly desperate to learn about the quest she had. Despite his warning, Kon was still reluctant to share any information about the quest that she was on. It wasn't that she cared about his safety, although it definitely would be a real shame if he were to die, but rather it meant another competitor would potentially join the field which would make things even harder for her to achieve her wish.
That said, Kon wasn't expecting Garon to be that strong. She assumed he was weak like many of the other residents of Earth that she had encountered her. A look of shock came across her face as the light enveloped his body and he was now completely covered in armor. Kon didn't need any ki or energy sense to take his word for it, he was strong, although how strong in comparison to her was still very much a mystery to her. "Okay, I believe you." She said with surprise apparent on her voice, although honestly she didn't know what he wanted to accomplish. In fact, it only made her even more reluctant to share. If only she didn't open her stupid mouth in the first place.
However, his role in the world quickly became apparent to her. He was another heroic person, wanting to save the world. Was Kon some sort of magnet to these type of people? It just seemed like she kept encountering them everywhere she went and by no means would she ever describe herself as heroic in a million years. Was this the universe trying to taunt her somehow? But, she had to admit that he had a point. This task ahead was dangerous, and if he really wanted to stop her she was confident enough in her skills to fight against him. Taking a deep breath, Kon would finally admit what she had been up to, only because another idea had come up in her head. What if she could persuade him to join her?
"I'm searching for these mystical relics known as a dragon ball to grant my wish. I want to be strong so I can stop those who pose as a threat to me." It was vague enough, and hopefully it would be enough to work for Garon as well. She really did not want to fight, but with Kon's luck it would always devolve into one.
