PL: 5,000 This planet was beyond confusing and she’d hardly been on it for nary a day! From the lush forests of bamboo that she’d departed from, the Demon was on the hunt for a more populated settlement. For what, she didn’t know – at the moment, she was preoccupied with learning all she could about the first world she’d stepped foot on. It was nothing like the Demon Realm and even further than what she expected to find! After a good hour of floating above the forest and gliding beyond the treetops, Zriracha found what she was looking for in the form of a rather condensed town. Floating down toward the large sign just on the outskirts of town, Zriracha landed atop to lean over and read the words, “’Satan City’? What a strange name for a settlement… Feh, who am I to judge!” She settled on with a grin before making a leap from the sign and straight into the heart of the city. The buildings and houses were strange, the vehicles that buzzed by were fascinating but it was the plethora of people that truly rocked her schema. Some were furred, some were different skin colors, and many were varied in sizes and shapes as well! It was as if she were back home with her Chakappak Clan, but different. While taking in the sights, Zriracha noticed that she was also being observed, though not with the same intrigue. The expressions she noted were fear, shock, anger and many other more complicated emotions. The sensation of not being entirely welcome was hard to ignore. In the midst of this, a small boy seemed to take off from his mother and rush up to her. Thankfully, the child did not appear to share the negative emotions that were so prevalent and stopped just in front of her. “Hey Goat Lady!” He cried in innocent excitement, earning an inquisitive upward eyebrow at the name but not inhibiting her own elated response. “Greetings mortal offspring! To what end do you approach me?” He pointed at her hooves, “Are those real?” “Hm?” She looked down, as if she’d never seen her own feet in her entire life, “My feet or my fur, little one?” “Both!” He cried, laughing like it was a game. Zriracha played along, grinning with her fangs bared fully. “They are both real!” And the sight unhinged the child completely as they let out a wild peal of laughter. Such a sight please Zriracha as she enjoyed spending time with the children back home; it was a relief to see species didn’t change much. An assessment made a bit too soon as the child was soon snatched from the ground by a female that looked almost like a spitting image of the child. “What I have I told you about talking to strangers, Jesse?!” She hissed. Whilst the child apologized, clearly not understanding what he did wrong, Zriracha was left to simply watch the woman drag them back the way they came. And we return to the ostracizing stares… She noted before she returned to her inquisitive sauntering, ignoring the gazes as best she could. Queen Kayen

"Alright, number seven for the week. I think we are finally getting somewhere!" The day was bright and shining. Hundreds of thousands of people were living their lives through Satan City, unaware of what had been brewing in the underbelly. At the request of some friends in the Central City Police Department, he'd been asked to help the Satan City Police Department deal with a group of robbers. This was the kind of work that Cardigan rejoiced in, simple intimidation and flexing before throwing them into the brig. 7 of the 8 squads had already been dealt with, and the police let Cardigan know he was good to go, as they felt they needed to handle the last group.
Satan City was strange compared to Central City. For one, it was dedicated (or made by, the people aren't sure on that one) to an individual named Mr. Satan, or Hercule, or simply "The World Martial Arts Champion" (yet again, not too much info). It also was full of different races, some he'd very rarely see in Central City. But even some stood out in this environment... As Cardigan watched from the roofs above, he noticed an odd-looking individual walking through the city streets. She had horns that seemed to spout little puffs of fire on occasion, along with a gi that resembled smoke in a strange way. She also had goat-looking and legs and stood tall above the majority of the people in the city. He thought she looked kind of cool, though the people of the city seemed intimidated based on an interaction she had with a child only moments ago. He needed to know this person. Without hesitation, Cardigan dropped into a nearby alleyway and shifted back into his normal form, making himself look far smaller than normal. He didn't, however, attempt to change his power level. After all, he still hadn't fully mastered the technique and he didn't feel as though he would need it. He didn't sense anything inherently evil about this individual. After changing, he walked toward the person. "Well hi there! Welcome to Satan City, stranger! You must be new around these parts."

By all accounts, the city was quite a sight to behold (even in spite of the less than warm welcome) and she currently found herself fascinated by a shop window that held a few figures on display inside. The clothing was obviously the height of this world’s fashion featuring what appeared to be colorful puffy jackets, paired with blue shorts that looked like they would be rough if one touched them. She wanted to touch them. She’d taken a few steps toward the door of the shop, not realizing that it had long-since been closed on a Sunday, when someone approached her. “Hm?” It was a man, average in height and wearing a rather colorful shirt. Zriracha turned to him completely before she gave an amicable nod, “You’d have the right of it, Mortal. Is this your home?” Perhaps this was the warm welcome that she’d hoped for. If so, she was going to take advantage! With a chuckle, she followed up with a wink, “Pardon my inquisitive nature. You could say I have a ‘devilish’ appetite for knowledge." Sigma

When last Kayen had been on Earth ‘Satan City’ had not quite been a thing, no it was at least at the time called ‘Badman City’ a city who’s inhabitants had their minds warped by one of the Stargoons, exactly what it had done Kayen was not entirely sure, but the results were quite clear, everyone went from your average mild mannered do-nothing Earthling to completely wild, dangerous, and perhaps a bit crazed. From what she heard it all sounded a hell of a lot like Raiti to be completely honest and she regretted not taking a look into it when she had actually been there. Her logic at the time had been that it was unlikely Vocado would set up shop there, too dangerous for what she believed was a stufft royal blooded elite. She was STILL pretty sure it was not the sort of place Vocado would be eager to visit but perhaps for less prissy reasons. Now though everyone was back to ‘normal’ they had been that way for quite some time and barely any remnants of ‘Badman’ existed to act as a reminder, truly unfortunate as Kayen was certain that the reactions she was getting now would not exist if this place was how it had once been, it was perhaps a bit foolish to wander around in her normal gear but Kayen had hoped that all the chaos would have gotten the Earthlings used to armored giants with ready access to a blade larger than some combinations of multiple people. Instead she got the odd shriek of terror and a whole lot more scared looks and people darting across the street to avoid her than she was entirely fond of, really if she wanted them dead no amount of walking would save them, hell without some sort of intervention they could take off at a dead sprint and still never have even a vague chance of escape. Kayen noticed as she walked that a few of the Earthlings weren’t directing their fear and distaste at her, no instead they were busy doing the same thing to someone else, a fiery redhead sporting a pair of black horns and what appeared to be goat-like legs, her appearance only gave Kayen pause for a moment as she puzzled out what the woman might be. Demon? Seemed the most likely though Kayens experience with demonic forces was a bit limited to feel absolutely certain. “Aren’t people fun?” Kayen said smirking at the maybe-Demon as she decided to stop her wandering to strike up conversation, maybe the onlookers really WOULD start freaking out if the two people they decided were terrifying on their own started interacting. Maybe they would all piss off thinking a fight might soon break out.

It was good to see that this new person was giving a positive response. After all, there was no telling how they could react to him so nonchalantly wandering up and asking a bunch of questions. Cardigan was quick to answer her questions. "Well, no, I don't live in this city, I live in Central City, but I'm here for a... job. Yeah, a contracted job. And feel free to question all you'd like, I'm happy to answer any questions you have about this place or Earth." As soon as he finished, another individual joined the fray. This woman was incredibly interesting, sporting long, strangely stylized, spiky hair along with battle armor and a large sword. She seemed to also be attracting the attention of passers-by. However, something more notable has Cardigan's attention than simply her appearance: her power. She was emitting battle power on a level that Cardigan had never before witnessed. It was truly stunning, as she was a fight that he would assuredly not win. However, he didn't feel as though he would have to, as she seemed good by all intentions. He turned and struck up conversation. "Yeah, most of the time. They can get a little antsy around things that are out of their collective norms, but give 'em some time and they'll usually come to just fine." He motioned to both of them, giving a formal, respectful bow. "I'm Cardigan, sorry for not introducing myself sooner."

Zriracha head tilted to the side inquisitively at that, “A ‘job’? Your duties brought you to another city, rather than stay with your own home?” Her face fell into one of pity. “That must be a struggle for your family for you to journey so far,” She didn’t know if this person had a family or not, but what seemed normal and practically ritual was not always the same for other – especially from another world. “Still, you are generous, and this deserves my thanks. I-” She paused, another offering conversation. This one was much more colorful, and by the looks of their attire and power (even spicier than the painful bite of the Ogre she’d met before) they must have been a powerful warrior of repute. She sniffed once, uncertain what the appearance of someone this powerful could mean, but decided that the question required an answer either way. Zriracha returned the grin, “They’re most amusing, yes. I find the young to be quite… wise beyond their years.” As if by the fates, Zriracha noticed - a few stores down - that the child she spoke of and their mother were staring at her as she spoke with the two. The appeared distrustful still, but the child held nothing back and waved at her as she noticed them. Just to spite the mother, Zriracha waved back before she returned her focus to the group. “I’d say we attracted quite a group, but the fault is mine. If it please you, I am known as Zriracha of Chakkapak. I am far from my home and have happened upon this one. Which brings to mind…” She turned to the shorter male. “Cardigan, yes? Upon which planet have I come?” Queen Kayen

The other member of the trio that had first stepped up to the Demon woman, mentioned to her that he was here on a ‘job’ though the way he spoke it while the Demon did not pick up on anything strange certainly felt… off, he didn’t look like much physically but he had a reasonably strong power level, if she had to guess she’d probably figure he was some sort of contract killer, ‘a job’ was a pretty standard way of skirting around that sort of business and generally one only skirted around such things when they had something to hide. She could respect that, if he was actually good at it, and the really unassuming ones usually WERE, he was probably doing quite well for himself. Kayen gave a shrug at his assertion that eventually the people would relax, in her experience Earth was a bit strange when it came to that, yes individuals would grow used to the ‘weird’ but these cities were so busy, everyone moving so fast, the turnover on who was around to gawk at them was likely enough that it could very well NOT die out. “Eh, its probably about half-half, you’re unique and not bad to look at. I’m pretty sure I just make them wonder how quick I can level the block” Kayen said with a smirk, the others introduced themselves, the Maybe-Hitman as Cardigan, and the woman as Zriracha of… a planet with QUITE the name, and it also meant it was entirely possible she wasn’t a Demon, it wasn’t one Kayen was familiar with which was interesting considering how well traveled she was. “I’m Kayen, and while you didn’t ask me I do know where you are. This is Earth, low on the average power scale but the few that are outside the normal are usually WAY outside of it, like him” Kayen pointed her thumb at the guy, Cardigan “Fourteen thousand, there probably aint anyone within miles that could take him in a fight. ‘Sept me, maybe you if you’re not putting out everything you’ve got. Planets got decent food though their portion sizes are too small” Kayen offered it had been a while since she’d needed to bring someone up to speed on the world they were on but back on Raiti it had been a roughly weekly event. The place was a magnet for space vagabonds and the occasional idiot trying to peddle slaves, some of the most useful info to get was planet name, expectations of power, and quality of food.

Another face in the fray who was just willing to talk was always nice. This individual, Kayen, was quite good at noticing certain things, and, though they didn't seem to be native to Earth, were quite apt at giving a good description of it. He gave an affirmative nod to Zriracha after Kayen finished her explanation. Kayen then called out his exact power level, to which even he was unsure of the exact number before that moment. He chuckled a little and put his hands behind his head. "Well, uh, thanks. I hit the gym every once in a while, an, in my line of work, it certainly helps to pack a little bit of a punch." With that comment he gave a chuckle before returning his attention the two acquaintances he had just, well, acquainted himself with. "So what brings both of you here? I could always point you in the right direction if need be, or maybe just lend you a hand."
OOC: I like the idea of Cardigan being kinda oblivious to the presupposition of others thinking he's a contract killer. Thanks for the idea.

What an interesting compliment to receive, Zriracha noted with wry amusement. While she didn’t say it out loud, inwardly, she recalled a few suitors that found her form quite appealing and it didn’t occur to her in the least (so soon after coming to this world, anyway) that some might find her attractive here as well. After some thought, Zriracha decided that it might just be that the inhabitants were equally reacting to the armored warrior beside her. A warrior whose named held just as powerful as name. “Kayen? It a pleasure to meet you – and once again, I am grateful for this boon of knowledge. I have heard of Earth but only by word of mouth from elders.” She took another look around, digesting the information as if it were changing the outlook she perceived in real time. Something didn’t quite sit right with her, however, and she frowned contemplatively. If the people of this planet – now that she knew she was practically on the other side of the universe - had such low powers… why were there so many that she could feel burn in the back of her mind? She wanted to question Kayen about this but didn’t desire to push her luck so soon. Instead, she took the offered assistance from Cardigan. “Yes, I actually do have a place in mind if you can assist me.” She turned to Cardigan and leered downward. “Can you point out where I can find the leader of this settlement? This place known as ‘Satan’ City intrigues me to know if one of my kind have found purchase among these mortals. For the time being, I desire to settle and find a source of knowledge for my own means.” Behind the smile that appeared innocuous, the passionate gleam of a scheme was bubbling just beneath the surface. “Good gym” Kayen said with a slightly raised eyebrow curious exactly how accurate it might be that he just ‘hit the gym once in a while’ it almost certainly HAD to be bull considering the power he had, unless of course he was a bit more like herself, born as something a bit… more… and if Earth was his home it would explain why if he was born stronger why it might be he had not yet progressed further as she had when the universe started getting crazy. Earth endeavored to be peaceful, its people uninterested in fighting, perhaps he was an unfortunate victim of that mindset, held back from his full potential. Or a lier. “I’m mostly visiting, gonna go check in on the President soon, got nowhere to be now though.” Kayen said casually, she had plans to pop in to visit Carro though a chance to enjoy a bit of a break from being Queen and enjoy a bit of a vacation, it would perhaps be a bit more enjoyable if Ramen was around, seeing exactly what it was that she enjoyed about Earth would be interesting. The woman, Zriracha spoke a bit… wierd, formal almost, she was mostly interested in meeting the ‘leader’ of Satan City, really more likely she wanted Carro, to find if any of her people were connected to Earth “Depends, are your people Chakkapakans? ‘Cause I’ve never heard of ‘em before, it aint impossible that there are some here on Earth, place attracts aliens like a bug zapper, I’ve got my doubts if one’s never made it to Raiti, its about as bad”

The request from Zriracha was quite odd to say the least, but not one he couldn't help with. He quickly thought before Kayen began speaking of Zriracha's people. Her summation that there were most likely a few on Earth was quite probable considering that non-humans of all kinds tended to flock to Earth in droves, especially as of late. After she finished he followed up. "Well, I'm not quite sure who the leader of Satan City is, but I'm sure that someone else could get you to them. Heck, maybe Kayen could get you an in with the prez. My bet would be to..." Just as Cardigan was about to give his plan of action, his watch let out an alert. Quickly he pulled it up. Ah great, it was a Code Eagle. Apparently the one remaining gang was armed to the teeth and the police simply couldn't handle it on their own. He had to leave. "Oh no, looks like work is calling. They need me pronto for some unfinished business. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance to you Zriracha, but I'll be sure to keep an ear out for any info on your people and get back to ya if I can. But for now, it was great meeting you two." As he finished his sentence, he ran into the alleyway, hoping they didn't follow him. Now he had to change into the suit and get to his destination, and quick.
I'll be taking my leave here. Very fun thread guys, if any of you wanna RP again, hmu

Between the two, Zriracha noticed that something was slightly off – as if the human and Kayen didn’t quite trust one another. While that wasn’t really her problem, it was made apparent that both were suspicious of some sort of scheme. Hopefully, it isn’t mine, She mused to herself with arrogance. When he revealed that he didn’t know the leader of Satan City, he did so graciously offer up Kayen as a means to have communication with the leader of the entire world. She blinked, uncertain if she wanted to take her plans that far so soon.
Before she could insist that he stay to tell her more, he was contact by someone (or something) on his wrist and made to beat a hasty retreat back. Whatever this work involved seemed to keep him busy rather often. “Farewell, Cardiga-” She’d barely gotten the words out of her mouth before he was rushing away. Zriracha gave a soft ‘hm’, before letting it go to speak with Kayen. Any curiosity about her people was always an exciting conversation and this one seemed to believe she was merely from another planet.
“That would be one good way of putting it, certainly… but we are not a space-faring people conventionally. To explain simply, I come from the warring lands of the Demon Realm. I believe you’d correct as well, since Earth does sound familiar – likely the origins of stories from halcyon days.” With that explained, Zriracha had to think on whether she should take up their offer and meet with this ‘Carro President’ or stick with the plan and find the leader of this city instead.
Visibly, she looked contemplative and held a hand to her chin in deep thought. Finally, she gave a faint nod. “Perhaps taking a risk and meeting with the Earthling Leader would be advantageous. They would have the knowledge I seek…” She looked to Kayen, “Would this be possible for you to assist me with? If you require some sort of compensation…?”

Kayen raised an eyebrow at Cardigan as his watch began to beep mid sentence completely cutting off whatever it was he was planning to say, whatever the little alarm was it appeared to be quite important from his general reaction to it, assuming her earlier assessment of him was correct it seemed that whoever it was he needed to kill was likely available to take down, perhaps he had a team keeping eyes on the target? It certainly made sense, allowing him to maintain an appearance of disconnection from what he was doing, perhaps set up an alibi. Kayen gave the rushed man a nod in goodbye as he took off at top speed. “He’s a strange one” Kayen said once it seemed he was out of earshot, he’d taken off half way through Zriracha’s attempt to bid him farewell which left the woman looking just a bit put out. “Oh. So you ARE a Demon” Kayen had figured as much at first and really only began to doubt herself when Zriracha had mentioned her home’s name, she knew very little about the ‘Demon Realm’ itself other than it existed and was generally a good place to assume most Demons were from. She was pretty sure it was where Sensoa was from at least. “I sort of figured as much, your power has a similar feel to” What was Sensoa? Friend? Subordinate? Kayen generally avoided the label of ‘friend’ but it was probably mostly accurate with Sensoa “a friend. If you want to give a go at meeting with Carro I can give you a hand, he doesn't seem like the type to make a big deal about meeting new people and would probably enjoy helping you figure out if any of your people are around” Technically Kayen had no real way of knowing if Carro would want to do either of those things but he was a ‘good’ person and in all likelihood wouldn't just leave Zriracha adrift. “There ain’t much I need so you can owe me one or whatever” Kayen offered with a shrug.

Who could they be referring to, I wonder… Zriracha was far too self-aware to have not caught the implication that this woman knew of someone that shared her Demonic heritage. There were tight-lipped, however, and she had no choice but to respect their privacy. To divert her curiosity from the thought, Zriracha gave a nod of agreement, “I would be most grateful for any assistance. Should it not prove to be fruitful, then I will still be at least a step closer to understanding your world.” She began to walk down the street from whence she came and toward the entrance where she saw the large sign that read ‘Satan Cty’.
“Imagine my surprise when animals that walked the streets of this city are not lawful game. Without currency, one can easily starve in the city. Is that how it is everywhere?” As they walked out of the city, Zriracha would converse with pure ignorance – sometimes joking… sometimes completely serious.
