It happened in a flash. With the word uttered, Typha’s body suddenly became engulfed in brilliant red Ki. It burned at his body like it had so many before him, and he struck out at King Kai’s shield. Astonished as he was, the Kai didn’t even register he’d been punched at first, but once he did, he noticed he’d been sent back a good twenty meters.
”WOW! You’re a natural!”
King Kai looked his shield over, eyes bulging at the serious dent in its center. Were Typha any stronger, King Kai might have needed a new set of ribs.
Tossing the ruined metal to the ground, King Kai happily walked over to the Konatsian, offering him some water. He probably didn’t feel it just yet, but the pain of using the Kaioken would probably be on him in less than a minute. ”The first use is always the hardest. Keep practicing and you’ll get used to it.”
Of course, there was still more to discuss. Waiting for Typha to regain his breath, King Kai explained further.
”What you just felt is the simplest form of the Kaioken. It can boost your strength as much as twenty times, but doing that might kill you after a single blow. You need to put your body through hell if you want to survive even a three times increase. Keep training yourself once you get back to Namek, and when you think you’re ready, come back to me and show me how far you’ve come.”
The Shinjin pulled a strange purple button from his pocket. It glinted with a magical essence.
”Push that, and wherever you are you’ll suddenly find yourself right on my front lawn. Don’t butt-in too often, though— I’m not even technically allowed to give these out.”

Typha has officially learned Kaioken and Kaioken x2! Please add them to your tech list.
