She had been travelling for days, because this stupid radar wasn't working properly. While Kon had considered bringing it back to Shimi to fix, he would probably say something like "the desert heat is causing it overheat use it during the night" or something stupid like that. While she had been trying to be patient, this device was really testing her limits sometimes. She knew that she would have to be grateful, especially when he gave her a working radar for free, but it was difficult for her to think that way sometimes. With a loud groan, Kon just shoved the radar back into her pocket, the heat from the metal was also getting uncomfortably hot anyways. Maybe it was better if she took a break right now and returned back to it later. But she had been travelling here for what felt to be years already, and frankly she was hot, tired and just wanted some water. She had already drank the last of her water a few minutes ago, and she was already yearning for more. Didn't deserts have oasis somewhere, and if so where was this one?
After a few more minutes of pacing around in the burning heat, Kon simply couldn't find the energy to go on anymore. While it was doubtful she would die, Kon just felt exhausted from travelling around and wanted to take a moment to lie down and rest. Besides, the sand wasn't too bad of a cushion, it was much softer than concrete or dirt. While she would prefer fr there to be some shade from the sweltering heat, she could take a moment to relax for a bit and recharge her energy. If she was in a really dire situation, she could always fly away somewhere with the last of her energy. But still, the heat was still affecting her. For a moment Kon even swore she was beginning to see strange figures. Maybe it would be wise to return to civilization for a bit. However, she still refused to do so. She had gone this far and she wasn't about to give up just yet. Besides, she was tired not dying. Everyone, even the great saiyans needed rest sometimes.
So that was what Kon decided to do for a bit, lie down face up looking into the sky and the sun, taking a moment to herself. This felt familiar, but in a strange sense. One that she had been trying to do her best not to remember. Those days were gone now, and she had to focus on the future. She shouldn't let times like these remind her of the old days, it just meant that she still hung onto those precious memories. Kon had to learn to let go.

Bloom’s PL: 82,000 | 246,000 Energy Suppression: Active (Reads as 5)
After the whole Central City thing with Sensoa flaking out on the Goons and Maple, the Purple Goon, showing up out of nowhere, Bloom had decided to get some space. Not that she wasn’t all about the team or it’s new members, but she enjoyed her alone time outside of Mumbo’s soul crushing group hugs. The guy was crazy strong. Really, she wanted to check up on some of the few buds that she had left outside of her Stargoon family. Chime, she hadn’t seen in ages. It would be nice to catch up with him, but if he had heard about the whole Stargoon thing, she didn’t relish his reaction. They could still be pals even if he was a goodie good as Mumbo called it. Right? Maybe. She wasn’t sure really. Which was why she was trying to find Hale or maybe Kyabe or that Three Eyes guy. They hung around Hale’s tower in the desert, right? Bloom just wasn’t sure if it was this desert. She had been flying over it for a long while without so much as a single trace of a tower-like structure anywhere. She didn’t sense any of the guys around either. Hm. Well, actually. There was someone she was sensing. Maybe it was Tabooleh? Or maybe that Kyabe kid had gotten really strong since the tournament. It was familiar, so Bloom decided to go check it out. It was a quick trip. Didn’t take too long. Though, on seeing exactly who it was, she wished she had taken her dear sweet time coming over. It was Kon. Kon, her first real friend. Kon, the one who had gone to Satan City with her. Kon, the friend that stabbed her in the back. Kon, the friend who betrayed her. Tried to kill her. That Kon. The Kon that had spawned so many of her trust issues. She was right there. Laying in the sand like that one time they’d laid on the side of the road. Or that time they went camping. That Kon. Feeling her chest twist up into an odd knot, Bloom scowled and drifted up in the sky, wondering what to do. She should confront her right? Dosu would tell her to kill Kon or something. Probably. Or get revenge or something. But Bloom wasn’t sure that was what she wanted anymore. Sure, she had wanted that for a long damn time, but she had the Goons now. She had her family. Kon didn’t even have that. Whatever. She was just going to go and what happened happened. No sense worrying about it too much. That’s what Dosu would actually say. Yeah. Okay. She could do this. Still, they had actually fought Dosu together. Back in the old days. Weird. With a sharp jolt of speed, Bloom shot down to the ground, stopping just inches away from the sand. She looked down at Kon and raised a hand up in the air. “Yo… Kon…”

While Kon did expect for someone to come across her in this desert, she would always had thought it would be one of the desert nomads or something. Surely a desert like this had some people living here that could guide her to the secret oasis that she had been searching for so long. So when she first saw a figure approaching from the sky, she was confused but glad. Too exhausted and delirious from the heat, she was unable to make out the figure until it grew closer and closer and it wasn't long before she recognize the figure that said hi to her.
Bloom.
How long has it been since she last tried to kill her in the tournament? Six months? Seven? Eight? It didn't really matter, but Kon felt her stomach twist into knots. She had always hoped that she wouldn't see her again. She simply couldn't bear to come and go face to face with her. Kon didn't often feel guilt, but her behavior at that tournament was one of the few exceptions. She was the rift to their friendship. She was the reason why she had ruined everything, just like she had in the past. While Kon had tried to convince herself that she never truly liked Bloom or think that she caused everything, in the end she simply couldn't accept the truth. That was the one lie that she could never fool herself into thinking. While she did try to open her mouth to reply, she felt her mouth run dry and instead all she could do was croak a strange sound.
It wasn't because she was dying of heat-stroke, but rather she didn't know what to say. Hi, it's been so long. I know I tried to kill you and everyone else but hey let's forgive and forget. That was a big task for anyone to do, especially Bloom. One that she didn't deserve. After playing around with it in her mind for a bit, Kon said the words that needed to be said. "Bloom, it's been awhile." She said. Her mind ran blank on what to say after that. She truly had nothing else to say. While she had considered apologizing, it was an event that happened so long ago. Would apologies even mean anything? Could it do anything to mend this rift, even slightly? Ultimately, Kon decided against it. It would make things awkward... at least much more than it had already.

“Yeah, I guess it has, huh…?” Bloom replied. Her mind wandered back to the tournament. It was supposed to be a fun kind of thing. Two friends going at it. Testing their might. Bloom guessed she had severely underestimated Kon’s need to win above all else. Above herself. Still, as she stared down at Kon who was very clearly somewhat dehydrated, Bloom caught maybe a trace of guilt. She certainly was having a hard time with it. Plopping down beside Kon, Bloom kicked back and laid beside her.
“This brings back some memories, huh…? Did you ever work out whatever your deal was with the Saiyan part of your family…?”
Bloom, of course, was referring to the day they’d met and chatted at the roadside. After that, so many things had happened. Geez. Satan City… that whole ordeal. She lost her mind for a little while there. They had fought Dosu after that! Oh! Right, she probably didn’t know that Bloom had decided to bunk with him and the rest of the goons. Though, they were on TV recently. Bloom wasn’t used to that kind of celebrity, so she used her patented disguise whenever she wanted to go around cities nowadays.
“You remember that Heran guy we fought back in Satan City…? I actually met up with him again… His name’s Dosu, and he’s not so bad once you get to know him… Well, I guess he is bad…? Eh… it’s complicated…”
After that, the whole tournament thing happened, and Bloom had taken some time off after being recruited by Mumbo to just chill. Then there was that other tournament… and then the thing with Central City… At least she’d come out of that one a bit better off. In the head anyway. She had people she could count on. Maybe she should thank Pr1de for what he did? It kind of set her straight. Ish. Eh, bad guys probably didn’t go around thanking their enemies. Mmm… Hard to say what to do.
“Oh, I met your brother, by the way… Well, a lot of things happened… I’m not really mad anymore…”
Sitting up, Bloom glanced over to Kon and shrugged. She wondered if that would be okay for someone like Kon. Or if Kon would prefer to settle things with their fists. Saiyan types were weird sometimes. Saiyans were always up for a brawl to settle things.

Time, like it always had, would bring a rift to those happy memories that she had with her former friend. It had been so long that Kon felt completely disconnected to them, almost as if they had been an old dream of a life that she had never had. Honestly, it was hard for her to even believe that she once lived such a life. Things had changed, Kon had changed. The person she was back then wasn't the person that she was now, although she wished that wasn't the case. But it wasn't something that she could go back on. It was partially due to how she saw the world now and her pride. She did merely shrug her shoulders in response to Bloom's question. That wasn't something she particularly wanted to talk about right now, especially when she remembered the way she hurt her brother so vividly in her mind's eye. But that wasn't the worst part.
It was the fact that she had no regrets for treating him like that.
"Yeah, I remember Dosu. I met up with him again recently..." She said, the memory of the two meeting in the doughnut shop unfortunately coming back into her mind. Why wouldn't the people of her past leave her alone for goodness sake. "Still seems just the same as when I met him, although he didn't seem too interested in getting to know me either." She muttered. It wasn't as if Kon had an interest in talking to some delusional person who thought it was fun to pick at random teenagers. Granted, the more she thought about it the two of them weren't so different. Probably it wasn't the best idea to think about this too much. This was already making her head hurt.
Interestingly, Bloom brought up the topic of her brother. She hadn't expected the two of them to talk so she was quite surprised, although she did her best to keep a neutral face. "Nice I guess." There really wasn't much more for her to say. Kon didn't have the strong connection to the past and here she was, confronting her person she was scared of meeting with the most since then. "Nothing really happened with me. Just boring stuff," she said with indifference in her voice. It wasn't as if they were close enough to share things anymore, or maybe it was just her. "Sounds like you had a nice life compared to me."
Despite everything that had happened these past months, Bloom still seemed to be her same self. She was so similar to how she remembered her that it actually hurt a little. If only could be said the same about Kon. But unfortunately, it was in the past and Kon had already chosen the path that she was going to walk down.

“Aw, Dosu’s just crabby... Don’t mind him too much… he’s pretty fun to tease, you know…” Bloom shrugged. It might be that Dosu seemed different to her because he actually kind of liked her. He was still that gruff and grumpy blue Heran that she knew and loved though. Very fun to mummify with bandages too. She had some in her pocket, thinking about it. Good times. Apparently nothing had happened to Kon, but Bloom knew better than that. She was giving Bloom the cold shoulder because of whatever dumb reason. Maybe she should try the Dosu approach?
“I wouldn’t say it was nice... A lot of bad stuff happened… Good stuff too, but a lot of not so nice stuff… Found out the Goons were the ones who busted up Satan City back then… and I happened to join up with them… so that was a whole thing… I ended up sticking with em though… Mumbo’s a big ole softie… of evil…”
Hm. Come to think of it, Bloom kind of forgave a lot when it came to people she liked. Did she still like Kon? Well, they were friends so there must have been something there. Talking with her like this made it feel like nothing had ever happened. At least to Bloom. It may as well have been eating Kon up inside. Kon was pretty stuck in her own head. Oh! Maybe she should do the Mumbo approach! That had kinda worked.
“Then there was that Central City thing… I got mind controlled so that was unpleasant… but Dosu snapped me out of it…”
Bloom glanced down at Kon, trying to think of other approaches to fix this, but all she kept coming up with was the Dosu and the Mumbo approach. Maybe she should do a mix of the two? Ugh. Well, she ought to just try something.
“So… hey… do you wanna like… hit me…? Or have me hit you…? I know that look of yours… you’re holding out on me… or you’re feeling bad or something… I’m not a hundred percent sure… I mean… whatever it takes for us to be good again…”
This wasn’t either approach really. She didn’t have Dosu’s constant bubbling anger to shout at Kon. And she wasn’t super emotional like Mumbo. This was the best she could do, but she did sort of want to make up with Kon already. Whatever the chip on her shoulder was. Bloom was a lot stronger now, so she could take more of a beating than before too if it came to that.
