“Kayen are you sure nobody will mind us parking the Stormbreaker here?” Barb questioned sounding more than a little nervous and earning a roll of the eye from Kayen “Does it matter? The only person who’s opinion is relevent to the conversation is Carro and if he wants us to move he can give me a call and say so, plus we’re not even that near any of the cities” Kayen offered with a shrug as she stepped down the ramp to take a look out at where they had landed. Not far from one of Earth’s many forests sat her pride and joy, the Stormbreaker, they were a few miles out from the nearest city though despite Kayen’s claims WERE still relatively close to a local farm, technically on its land at that.

“The scans said…” Barb began knowing that the ship’s scans had suggested that they might be on owned property but she was swiftly cut off “Don’t stress yourself too much about it Barb, if anyone hassles us I’ll deal with it” Kayen waved off Barb’s concerns and earned a long sigh from her technician.

“Lets check out the area, If there’s any decent wildlife I can send the boys out hunting, save some time on stocking up” Kayen grinned at the idea, Earth’s wildlife tended to fall on the very tasty side, practically any mammal was decent and then there were the REAL treats like the giant lizards they had stomping around.

Kayen focused her senses seeking out any decent power ranges, most of the higher predators had detectable power signatures and places with notable predators also tended to feature copious amounts of prey. What Kayen found however was not a slightly elevated power signature indicative of a bear or something but instead a MASSIVE signature.

“Interesting…” In all liklihood it was some wandering Earthling warrior but with any luck perhaps she had hit the absurd mother load of some super predator, something that would both be worth eating AND pose a good challenge to take down. “Hey Barb you keep things in order I’ll be back in a bit” Kayen said and before Barb could protest she was gone.

It did not take long to find the signature but to her immense disappointment it was not one of the giant lizards with an absurd power, or some magic demon bear, but an Earthling wandering around with some sort of device looking not particularly pleased with it.

“Glaring at a broken thing won't make it less broken, trust me I’ve tried”

Kayen touched down and approached as the Earthling held out the device shaking it in her general direction to give her a look at what Kayen still assumed to be a broken piece of tech, Kayen took a moment to look at it in spite of the shaking raising an eyebrow as she did. The device looked vaguely familiar, it actually resembled some of the sensors on the Stormbreaker, the interface something like a VERY basic scouter as it oocasionally blinked to life before going out entirely.

“Not a clue, it looks like a sensor of some sort? I’m not a tech expert by any stretch of the imagination” Kayen offered a shrug, maybe it was something like a metal detector? The display had looked a bit like a map before it died off so it was possible it pulled readings from the general area to give its user an idea of their proximity to something metal and thus potentially worth money.

“Kayen, Queen of Vegeta, and Raiti” Kayen offered with a nod, she had not even the vaguest clue what a Senbyo was but it seemed to be a title the Earthling held in high esteem, based off of his power perhaps it was some sort of rank for high level fighters? Earth’s martial artists tended towards schools so perhaps it was some sort of rank above the masters of those schools? Was that a thing Earthlings did?

“Whats the thing supposed to do? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure you rattled a battery loose in it which probably isnt helping you any beyond it being broken”

“When you lie, try to do it with a bit more confidence. Say the lie all at once, don’t stumble through it as you go.” Kayen said as if instructing a student on how best to swing their blade rather than making corrections to how a complete stranger attempted to lie, and to her in particular. While it did her no favors to ‘help’ the Earthling she really could not stand such poor skill at the art of the lie.

“Also don't do the whole bowing thing, I don't even really care for it when my own people do it, I only make people I dislike or who I want to mess with do the bowing and kneeling shit” Kayen said waving of the Earthlings hurried attempts at formality, Kayen rolled her shoulders as she decided how to proceed, the man clearly had something to hid with the device, however Kayen really had no pressing NEED to know more about it other than vague curiosity.

The fact he claimed it was a map of some sort felt genuine enough which was certainly curious “How about this, tell me what it really is and I’ll see about giving you a hand in getting it fixed up. My ships nearby and I drag my head technician around with me because I pretty much also treat her as a secretary. I figure she could patch the thing up. Maybe we have a spar or something while she does her thing, you’re the second strongest Earthling I’ve met if I don’t count Carro’s mech” A fine trade as far as she was concerned, she got to sate her curiosity on the device, he got his thing working, and they both got a chance to test their strength. A win for everyone.

Kayen shrugged at the man’s effort to claim he wasn’t lying “Sure if you want to sound confused about stating facts you could definitely say things like that. You dont have to admit you were lying, but try to take the advice, It’ll keep people from messing with you in the future. If you’re gonna lie, might as well do it right, otherwise just be confident with the truth and kick anyone's ass who would mess with you for it”

“I might, but if I cared to steal it I’d just kill you now since you’ve made it pretty obvious that it’s worth stealing. Whatever it might be that I probably don’t need one, money isn’t really a problem for me if it’s worth anything” Kayen offered with a shrug claiming her willingness to kill with what might be a disconcerting ease.

“He visited me on Vegeta, yaknow, politics and shit. I tried to get him to start working out, pretty sure he almost died. I came to Earth for a bit of a break and to meet with him for some more politics” She wasn’t particularly interested in expanding on the minutiae of the ‘politics’ for her visit to a stranger so with luck he wouldn't press for more information.

“And the Strongest Earthling is Ramen. Unless she’s been slacking on her training enough for someone to pass her up but I doubt that. Like I said, you’re the second strongest I’ve met, and she’s got a fair lead on you” Without really realizing the slightly gruff neutral expression Kayen usually had softened slightly as she talked about Ramen a small grin forming as she awaited Nashi’s response.

Kayen raised an eyebrow at the recognition in Nashi’s voice as he repeated Ramen’s name, of course it should not have been TOO surprising that another Earthling would know her, Earth was after all her home and with as strong as Ramen was it wasn’t unlikely that she would be relatively well known among Earth’s stronger fighters.

When Nashi then proceeded to claim he was ‘heaps’ stronger than her Kayen did not even bother to stifle her laugh, if nothing else the Earthling had balls to make such a claim, he was strong certainly but Kayen knew what Ramen’s full strength was like, and that was only what it had been the last time they had been together, Ramen often returned at least a bit stronger than when she left so there was really no telling how much further ahead she was.

“Right, unless you’re packing away a whole hell of a lot more power you’re full of it, Ramen’s top strength is enough to give ME a challenge, you’re nowhere even close.” Kayen said more to egg on the Earthling than anything else, if he DID have more power she definitely wanted to see it and perhaps the challenge would be enough to get him to show it off.

Kayen rolled her shoulders as she watched Nashi’s reaction to her claim, the Earthling definitely seemed to see the claim as a sort of challenge, and after securing his strange radar device he took up a pose that was far more flash and far less ‘fighting stance’ as he declared that he would need to give a demonstration of his power.

Kayen knew what was coming, at least vaguely considering the context, but how she would respond was an important decision, her current strength wouldn't be anywhere near enough to pose a proper challenge to the Earthling, even with just the ruby active she would definitely struggle to fend off whatever Nashi had in mind for his demonstration of power.

Which left her with only two real options.

A decision was very quickly necessary as the Earthling launched himself at her, the staff he was wielding closing the gap even faster as it suddenly began growing longer, with a smirk Kayen made a snap decision and within a moment of the decision her aura exploded around her causing the ground to shake as she unleashed her full power.

Kayen raised an arm to fend off the attack, letting the pole crack against her arm mostly harmlessly due to her increased power “So does ‘Senbyo’ stand for ‘Second Best’? Because you’ve still not actually proven anything to me” Kayen said with a wide amused smirk, part of her was tempted to just wait and see the Earthlings reaction, but she had a better idea on how to see if Nashi had a bit more to offer.

Fateburn would perhaps be a bit overkill at the moment if this WAS the extent of the Earthlings power and so Kayen simply cocked back her free arm and took a swing at Nashi aiming a punch for the dead center of his chest, with any luck she would be holding back enough to not necessitate dragging him back to the ship for emergency healing if he didn’t have more to offer.

The look of shock on the Earthlings face made going to the effort of transforming IMMEDIATELY worth it, Kayen watched Nashi soar through the air and back through part of the forest for a good couple of miles based off of her scouter’s readings, Kayen let out a low whistle as she shook her head. She had sort of expected that if Nashi DID have a bit more power hidden away to explain his claims that he would have brought it to bare before she struck him.

Perhaps the Earthling was simply more familiar with what Ramen’s power had been like BEFORE she left Earth and simply not gotten to see what it had become since then. “He’s still alive at least” Kayen muttered as her scouter maintained a lock on his power signature, it had taken a brief dip during his trip through the forest but was stabilizing.

With a shrug Kayen darted through the air rushing to where her scouter indicated the Earthling was, instead of finding a disheveled near-corpse Kayen was surprised to find Nashi already back on his feet and looking more or less fine, his power had even leveled back out to what it had been before she hit him.

“Huh, you’re a bit tougher than I thought. Alright lets see what you’ve got” Kayen said crossing her arms over her chest as Nashi requested a chance to power up, maybe whatever he had was simply not as easily activated as the various transformations and power boosts Kayen had become accustomed to.
