WISHFUL THINKING
CHROMO'S PL: 160,000
"NASHUAAA!! I DID IT! I DIIIID IIIIT!!!" It had barely been an day since Chromo left Nashua with his Dragon Ball, but here the bug was, storming right back to the saiyan's ship with an six-starred orange sphere held high above his head. After an... odd reunion with Tarch, the two had managed to truce and decide to rush back to the older saiyan with the final two Dragon Balls in tow. Chromo was ecstatic- he'd zipped far ahead of his old friend with his tongue lolling out of his mouth and a giddy smile plastered on his face as he skidded across the dirt like a race-car and right to the door of the saiyan's ship. Still bouncing up and down, he'd pace outside, knocking at the door every few seconds. "The DRAGON BALLS! W-we got them! ALLLLL of 'em!" Surely the Saiyan didn't lose hers, so that meant they had all seven!
Chromo turned back, anxiously awaiting the seventh sphere's safe arrival with Tarch. Any minute now, they'd be summoning a giant dragon! They'd revive Kohlra along with everyone in West City, that guy this "guru" dude wanted revived, and his family! He'd finally see X-Osis and Virus and everyone else again and it would be amazing! He chirped in childish glee at the thought. But for now, all the beetle could do was wobble with the anticipation of an over-excited dog as he waited for Nashua to greet him and everyone else to round up...

Tarch PL: 150,000
“WE did it!” Tarch called after the insect. When did Chromo even get this fast? He could have sworn that it was only yesterday he was running circles around the little guy. Now the young half saiyan was actually struggling to keep up with him. Even with his power fueled by the sheer excitement and joyful bliss of getting to see his mother again, it seemed little Chromo was just a little way ahead of him. If nothing else, Tarch had to commend him on how much stronger he go since the West City ordeal.
Luckily it didn’t take him long at all to catch up with Chromo. Now where the heck was Nashua and Mr. Oboe? To be fair it wasn’t like they were getting any forewarning about the discovery of the final ball. Tarch glanced over at Chromo with a more important question in mind. Would they get to be friends after all this? Only one way to find out.
Tarch gave his friend a quick tap on the shoulder. “I uh, don’t think they’re here. Don’t worry though! I can call them now!” So with a quick moment of concentration along with a few deep breaths, Tarch reached out a mental link to his two friends. He also figured he should let Chromo in on the group call. “Hey! Nashua! Mr. Oboe! Chromo found the last Dragon Ball! We can finally make our wishes!” He then opened his eyes, giving the beetle an excited smile. “There! That oughtta get their attention.”
[UT1] Telepathy used to call Nashua and Oboe with a Chromo included.

Truth be told, Nashua had been expecting to be stuck on Namek for another few weeks or so as those with radars attempted to track all the Balls down. The last hunt had crawled on and on and on by the end, and she could really feel this one starting to drag, as well. In fact, she was so certain she'd be stuck for another while that she'd started drafting up a postcard to send off to her parents to let them know she was still doing well - she had told them she'd only be gone a month or two, after all, and it had been around three months by this point. The young woman was perusing the various postcard options and some small tourist shack in a Namekian village, when, our of pretty much nowhere, Tarch's voice rang up in her head and startled her. "What, where?" she said aloud, taking a second to realize Tarch was using telepathy.
"Oh, hi, Tarch," she mentally replied, ignoring the odd looks she was getting from the shopkeeper as she stepped away. Then the real news came. A smile beamed across Nashua's face as she sprinted towards her ship and hopped in, immediately taking off and using her scouter to track down wherever Chromo and Tarch were. "That's great news!" she added, "Hold on, I'll be over to where you are in just a few minutes!" Her intuition said Outer Plait, and, sure enough, her scouter was picking up some potent signals over there. The space ship blasted off through the air at top speed, only slowing down after tow small figures became visible on the ground below, with it coming down for a quick landing a few dozen meters away from the pair, kicking up quite a bit dust and dirt into the air upon impact with the earth.
It took a minute, but soon, the door to the ship swung down, and down the stairs came Nashua, with the one, two, three, four, and five star Dragon Balls all held in a bundle between her arms, with the Saiyan cautiously making sure none of them rolled off the pile and onto the ground before she reached the other two. "Hey, guys!" she exclaimed with a smile. "Glad to see you two did make up, just like I was hoping you might. Are we all ready to go, or should we wait for Oboe to show up before we get started?" she asked as she set the Balls down on the ground in a neat pattern. She wouldn't have minded getting right to it, but she did think it'd be a show of good faith to wait for the Guru.

Oboe was deep within the throes of meditation within the center floor of his spaceship, the Gorgon’s Gaze when a voice cut through his near nirvana reaching state. Tarch, the young Saiyan of Earth, echoed clearly in his mind eliciting a smile on his olive colored face. Releasing his levitation, both feet planting upon the bulkhead, Oboe would stand and compose himself as he responded to the message. It seemed as if the duo – Chromo and Tarch – had finally found the last Dragon Ball! Months and months of searching, new arrivals and new hunters appearing every day and it was all finally coming to an end. It left a strange feeling within his chest.
Tarch! That’s wonderful! he’d exclaim in his own telepathic connection. Closing his eyes tightly, he felt out with his senses to locate the distinct signatures of energy that made up the trio. Once located, he responded again;
I’ve located you and the others, I’ll be there in a moment – should take only five minutes at best…
The news was welcome, if not a bit…bittersweet. He’d encountered so many thanks to the wish orbs – both good and bad – and if not for the experiences of the Hunt he may never have matured and synchronized with the past Guru’s and Steno in the manner of which he finally had. As well, if not for the Dragon Balls and the hunters and potential travelers coming to seek them being what they were, he’d of never met Typha – hero of Namek’s leader and hopefully at some point a true friend. He’d of never encountered Korla or Kid, learning much more about his allies and their motivations than he’d ever had before. Throughout all of this, the most important aspect was; Oboe had learned much.
and what you decide to do with that knowledge from here will shape the very future of our people, my Guru. Tread carefully…choose wisely.
Steno’s reassuring voice offered some comfort in his otherwise solitary state. Bass had left the world – leaving not a note or comment. He had known the youth to be struggling with his place among a world such as the one Guru was trying to build. Maybe the young lad was right, the knowledge within his mind transcending his own reason. Had he been making mistakes in his alliances? Nevertheless, as he took the lift down to the control panel of his ship – Oboe would punch in the coordinates for the outer plait and, swiftly within the five minutes as promised, arrive on the scene.
The gangplank lowered and off stepped the Guru. His outfit was the same as usual, the long vest like robe, the neck fluff and his trademark staff, but there was something…different about him. As if he radiated two separate energies that simply coalesced into the one. With a warm, friendly smile – Oboe would approach the trio carefully. His eyes rested upon the gathered sight of all 7 of his Dragon Balls, a sight he’d not seen since he’d repowered the stones that once had been.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to take so long – The Cargo Farmlands are getting ready for our yearly harvest so I was meditating on how best to assist my people. Thank you, all of you, for your hard work in assembling our wish orbs. I think, if anything, this will help strengthen the bonds between those assembled and those who have sacrificed much to come and find these mystical items.”
Oboe spoke reverently but understood that time may be of the essence. As he approached, the Dragonballs all began to hum and flash with magical energy – their presence to their creator showing physically on their being. Turning to each of them, he warmly asked;
“So, Shall I begin the ceremony? It simply takes a password…in our native language. I hope you’re all prepared for your wishes… to be granted.”

CHROMO'S PL: 160,000
All seven Dragon Balls! Together at last! Regardless' of Tarch's attempts to bring Chromo out of his giddy daze, the beetle would still zip around while anxiously waiting for the others. With his sort-of-friend's telepathic call to them, though, Nashua and the Guru were quick to show up. Chromo's antennae perked at the Namekian- he'd encountered Oboe a few times before. He seemed nice enough, though...
"Well he's here now, so let's do it!" Chromo spoke to Nashua, gesturing with his head to Oboe. The beetle was still shaking in glee, with speeds unlike any sugar rush he'd had before. "Yeah! Summon it, summon it, summon it, summon it--!!" Chromo chanted rapidly, hopping another dozen times in anticipation... How big was the dragon supposed to be, anyways? He was excited to see! For now, Chromo would take a speedy step back from the Dragon Balls to let the Namekian work his magic...

Now Chromo’s giddiness was spreading to Tarch. The young hybrid could barely contain himself when he heard back from both Nashua and Mr. Oboe relatively quickly. This was really happening! Tarch could see his mother again, Mr. Typha could be brought back, and maybe Chromo really could have his lifetime supply of hetap. He better share it with Tarch though! In actuality though, the teen thought that it was only right that the guru get the third wish. After all, he was the one who gave Tarch his radar in the first place. First the two adults had to arrive first.
Nashua showed up first, commenting on the two boys making up after all this time. “Yeah,” Tarch remarked with a sideways glance, “Made up… I’m not sure we’re there yet,” he mumbled more to himself than Nashua. Despite not wanting to be seen as a liar, he felt it would be better not to ruin the momentous occasion. Luckily the older saiyan asked another question. “Y-yeah! Let’s wait for Mr. Oboe. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have found my dragon ball in the first place.”
Speak of the devil, or perhaps god in this case and he shall appear. Oboe followed close behind, albeit a little later. Tarch personally had no qualms with the leader of namek being so late. He no doubt had all manners of Guru type things that needed to be done around Namek. Now what he said resonated with the boy. He glanced back toward the beetle.
“I think you’re right Mr. Oboe.” Yeah! Tarch and Chromo would come out of this for the better. He then laughed when he brought up the namekian password being needed to summon the dragon. He fondly remembered Ms. Ramen fumbling through the namekian language months ago. “Aw, I was hoping to give it a try,” he snickered, “I only know the first word. Puupet… no wait… purpit… Nevermind I don’t know any of it I guess.” The young teen was bouncing in place with excitement, unable to contain himself, letting whatever came to his mind spill out of his mouth.

"Well, on friendlier terms, regardless," Nashua replied to Tarch, "Last I checked in with you, I don't believe you would have been so willing to associate with him in the slightest." Hopefully their relationship would be fully amended with the revival of Tarch's mother. Oboe was quick to arrive soon after, quick to apologize for his slow arrival. Nashua shook her head and quickly replied, "Not a problem - we're all here now, and we all worked hard for this, so I think we can allow ourselves a moment to breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate!" That being said, she was also eager to wrap this thing up, here and now. While Namek wasn't unpleasant, per say, it was also lacking in some of the things she rather enjoyed in life. Like showers. It was also kind of lonely, being stuck away from all her friends for so long.
Chromo was... Also eager, to say the least, beginning to chant for the Dragon to be summoned over, and over, and over again. Well, with the seven Balls all here and their wishes prepared... Why wait any longer. "Oh, I remember, actually," Nashua replied, stepping forward to clear her throat. Ramen had summoned the Dragon nearly 6 months prior, and though her memory was slightly fuzzy, Nashua was pretty sure she could remember it. That moment had been so momentous, practically the entire thing had been burned into her memory. "I think." She paused for a moment, then continued, slightly stumbling over her own words. "Takka... Takkaraput...?" What was it? She thought hard about it for a moment, and then, in a flash, it all came to her. "...Takkaraput pop Porunga pupiritt paro!"
"...That is it, right?"

At first, it seemed as though the Saiyan's phrasing was incorrect. The Dragon Balls, collected and placed in a circle, had been glowing before. Now though, they were a dull orange. They did not stay such for long, however-- thunder cracked as a massive flash of lightning struck the seas, and the skies darkened. From the orbs came a brilliant light, and a screeching cry of magical energy released skyward.
Seven streams of magical light swirled and danced together, forming the immense, imposing form of an unearthly being. The Dragon, muscular and imposing, loomed far above them, his blood-red eyes gleaming with magical energy as he looked down upon the crowd. Some he recognized, and others he certainly did not.
"Ho Ho! Your Namekian has improved some."
Porunga crossed his arms, and leaned over some to better see the crowd. His newest creator, Oboe, was among those present. He was strong. A good successor.
Suddenly, his expression became much more serious, and his voice boomed:
"I am The Eternal Dragon, Porunga. State your three wishes so that I may grant them."

The skies of Namek had darkened to a black pitch – an unusual sight for a planet lacking a lunar cycle. Mystical energy began to rise up from the seven gathered orbs and, as they began to levitate high into the air, a crash of lighting spewed forth from their form. From the gathered energy crackling from the spheres, a massive dragon appeared before the gathered group. His muscular form, his horned head, Oboe knew without hesitation whom this figure was. In all of his life, tales had been wove about this figure – his depiction in all of their artwork and artesian work. This, Was Porunga.
In all my years…such magnificence
Steno’s voice echoed from within, it was clear his guardian was as awe struck as he was. Though he, himself, knew of the figure before them intimately, he had never once laid eyes on his creation before. He was impressed, both with the imposing nature of the Dragon as well as the power radiating off him. It was clear that there was a distinct connection between himself and Porguna as the fluctuations of power resonating outward felt similar to his own. How interesting a connection. As the Dragon’s demeanor improved, all eyes were felt upon him as the first wish was asked to be made.
“If you all don’t mind…”
Oboe stepped forward gazing up at Porunga, staff tightly held in hand. Clearing his throat, Oboe began to speak in pure Namekian – a language that rolled easily off his tongue and not so much off of Nashua’s. He considered his words for months, how he would approach this situation. There was much he’d wanted to fix – much he needed to fix – but as it stood, there were needs for the other wishes to go towards those from Earth; So – without further delay;
“Porunga! For our first wish; If you’d be so kind – please, Revive the Prince of Konats – Typha – to Life and return him to this world! He has died a hero’s death protecting myself and our people. This is the least we can do for him.”
While Oboe also wished to Revive the one known as Om-Yogu – the young man whom he’d sentenced to Death simply by asking Vocado for help – the Namekian Elder knew that such things would have to wait until the Wish Orbs were restored to power. If anything, the extra time in HFIL would prove therapeutic to the young man’s soul and should go a long way to removing the demonic entity known as Monster from his being. With the wish stated, and his words finalized – Oboe returned his language to the basic common tongue that all races seemed to speak.
“My wish is complete, Young Tarch, Young Chromo, your wish should come next. I know that there’s much that you both wish to say…for now let us complete this and see if we can right some wrongs.”
Oboe’s words were wise and full of warmth. It was clear there was care in his heart for those assembled; both well-known or otherwise. Such was the nature of Guru.
Oboe's Wish: Revive Typha

Porunga stood silent for a time, listening to the Guru’s wish earnestly. He wanted a single soul returned? So simple, yet at the same time a unique challenge. The soul in question was in a far-off place. Hard to return to this land... But Oboe did not request an immediate return, now did he?
”Very well...”
The Eternal Dragon’s eyes began to glow with immense power, and suddenly, across dimensions, a certain Konatsian would feel a change in his soul. Lungs would fill for the first time in months; smell and taste and touch would become that much more real. Whatever Typha was doing in the Afterlife, it’d become just that bit more difficult to do. He had a body again, after all, and unlike a soul they became fatigued much quicker.
Porunga stared down at the crew before him, his voice booming once again.
”The one known as Typha has been restored. Two wishes remain.”
Typha , the Konatsian Warrior, is revived, yet he is still in the Afterlife! What could possibly be wrong?

Across time and space, a voice traveled. One that belonged to a being of decent importance. They sounded quite cross, though most of the group would be unaware. Oboe was the one this voice trained in on, and his mind would be hit with an important message. ”Really? You guys revived him now?!” King Kai’s telepathic voice resonated through dimensions, worming its way into Oboe ’s ear. ”Good on you for pulling it off I suppose, but give him a few hours okay? He’s about to learn something important!” That was all the Guru would hear, before the connection was suddenly severed...
reposting this part of the latest King Kai post here so you all can read it. Feel free to respond how you like on your next post as well, Oboe!

Just as before, the young half saiyan was greeted with the truly awesome form and power of Porunga. He couldn’t help but wonder if he could maybe get a picture with the dragon this time. When he came back to school from his first little escapade, none of his fellow students believed him when he told them about meeting a giant wish granting dragon. Of course, they did meet Nashua a few weeks later, that gave them at least a little bit of proof. For now, Oboe wasted no time in getting the first wish stated.
"Oh wow. I guess I get to keep my promise to Ms. Aisise after all!" Tarch laughed. He hadn't forgotten about his promise to the Konatsian woman he had met some time ago. He promised her that he would help revive Prince Typha, and now he did just that! Without even trying either. "But uh... where is he?" Before he could recieve his answer, the Guru motioned for him or Chromo to take their wish. So now it was his turn huh? Tarch could still remember the first time he was facing a similar situation. He was practically screwed out of a wish he didn't even know he wanted. Now though there was no one stopping him from getting what he wanted. Maybe except for Chromo.
Tarch glanced back at his former friend. The little beetle seemed to stay quiet, perhaps a little more reserved than he was expecting. That or he was just taking in the sheer majesty of the Namekian Dragon. Come to think of it, Tarch had yet to meet the Earth Dragon yet either. Maybe that would be next on his to do list.
"Uh... H-hello Mr. Porunga sir!" Tarch called up to the eternal dragon, "Can you bring back everyone who was killed when my friend attacked West City? Including my mom, Kohlra." Was it really going to be that simple? Mr. Typha was nowhere to be found. But Tarch already knew that all you had to do was speak your wish. It just felt so different to go from watching to actually making your own wish.
With permission of the others to help keep things streamlined, Tarch is cutting in front of Chromo since his wish is also pretty standard.

Again, another simple wish. One might argue that this one was a tad simpler. The bundle of souls he needed to retrieve were not in line for special training in a far-off corner of Otherworld, after all. Again, however, the wisher did not specify a location, so instead of bringing them here, the mighty dragon decided it best to return them to where they had been upon death.
"A simple matter..."
His eyes dazzled with crimson light again, and across space a huge collection of souls would return to Earth. West City would find its streets a little more crowded today. The hurried and startling sounds of car horns blaring and befuddled construction workers shouting would rattle the ears of a few returning citizens-- and among those confused and delighted souls would be one Kohlra . She would awaken right where she died, as if the last few months had been nothing more than a bad nap.
However... There were a handful of souls who would not or somehow could not traverse the window between dimensions. It was a select few, sure, but the discrepancy was indeed there. It seemed a handful of families would still be missing a member.
"Your wish has been granted. Those who desired to return have done so. State your final wish, so that I may grant it."
Kohlra, along with everyone else Chromo killed in West City has been revived... Tanga, however, has not, due to her being used for a New Game+ transferal.

CHROMO'S PL: 160,000
Chromo's eyes widened as the snaking lights melded into the form of Porunga. The Eternal Dragon's presence turned Namek's eternal day into a dark night, only lit by the intense aura from the wish-granter's towering body. The deity was taller than any Oozaru he'd ever seen, tenfold. He couldn't sense energy, but the intimidating pressure from Porunga's mere visage was enough to quiet the beetle. His heart thumped in his chest.
The Guru was quick to make his wish. Revive someone who died on the hunt, he recalled from Nashua's words. Porunga's eyes flashed red, and Chromo could tell his power was intensifying with the revival. Now that he was looking at the colossal dragon and seeing him revive people in front of his own eyes, Chromo found it hard to believe. He wasn't dreaming, was he? Clearly not, as Tarch took a step forwards. With his friend's request, the Eternal Dragon boomed again to grant their desires. A flash of light, and the deed was done. Chromo looked to the stars. He couldn't see Earth, but right now he was wondering if everyone was alright in West City now...
"...O-oh, right." Chromo perked his antennae, realizing it was finally his turn. "Well, uh, I-I--" The beetle inhaled and gathered his marbles, turning his own red eyes to gaze into the mighty dragon's own. With Porunga's help, surely, he could have what was lost returned to him. "I wish for my family to come back! My d-dad, my siblings, a-and my mom!" He straightened his posture and puffed out his chest, teeth grit in anticipation... Finally, everything would be okay.
...Right?
Chromo wishes for his family to return to life, but... Between all of them being archived / both revive/resurrection wishes being already used, this will not be able to be done. I am here for nothing but the PAIN.

Interesting. Try as he might, Porunga had trouble collecting those requested of him. It seemed some of them had already been reborn, while others simply denied revival. In fact, a few of them weren't technically dead. How very curious.
"The ones you refer to as family cannot be revived. One of them lingers within you, and the rest cannot or will not return to this world."
He raised a single finger to the group.
"One wish still remains. Make your decision."
Wish denied!
