Vangreth's PL: 60,000 No modifiers Anti-Sense: Active
A bright day opened in the Western Verge; life was springing around, and many people seemed to come out and enjoy the sunny day offered by nature! This was the case for the Muko-jin known as Vangreth, which had gone through a really bad day yesterday and welcomed warmly this new situation that he could enjoy! Being newly freed from his collar, Vangreth was wearing the red scarf with white stripes that Suri made him, which would be a bit strange considering the temperature outside, but he didn’t care. The Muko-jin had walked quite a bit, leaving the east to visit the west, he needed a change of air after what happened last night, and certainly would need a bit of time to think about a plan.
When he arrived in the West, witnessing the activity of the area he had arrived in, he decided to take part in whatever was happening; worst case, he would learn something new about Earth, and best case, it was another food festival and he would be able to eat some delicious things and maybe even meet some sympathetic people like last time! With this newfound positivity, he made his way to the gathering of people that seemed to be growing even moments!
This mass of Earthlings were gathered here for a specific reason; in the middle of the mass was a small arena setting up and some shops stands setting up around, there seemed to be some sort of martial art demonstration or festival of some sort, and Vangreth took interest in the matter. Since there was no animation, the crowd began to scatter a bit around and look for the shop stands containing a whole lot of food, goodies and more! The Shopkeepers were struggling to keep up with the impressive demand, they probably weren’t expecting that many people, but with such a day, one could only go out and enjoy that kind of event!
After a few minutes although, everything seemed to take some sort of rhythm, and Vangreth decided to join in in the fun by grabbing some food, namely, a bowl of pop corn, some cotton candy and a bunch of gummy bears! With that, he began to wander around the crowd, using his ki-sensing ability to try and spot out the martial artist that were going to perform out of the mass, and he had a few candidates, but there wasn’t that many to begin with, so the Muko-jin was pretty concerned; maybe it was a beginner thing? In that case, perhaps he could even show a thing or two to the public? Would people be more scared of him If they knew he could fight well?
When he said that, it seemed like the action was starting at the scene that had been installed; one person was walking on stage and was waiting for people to gather, so Vangreth did exactly that and began to walk towards the stage, where he hoped he would be wrong; perhaps these people knew how to supress their power?

After the waves upon waves of people coming to buy from a smaller, takoyaki stand finally died down, Mocci gave a sigh of relief. She wanted to say she didn’t know exactly how she ended up practically running the shop-stand, but that’d be a lie. The truth was it was her inability to tell seemingly senile old people no. All it took was one old woman, already struggling to keep up with the flood of customers, to confuse her for her granddaughter and go on about how relieved she was that she finally made. Whether or not this was some sort of trick, she wasn’t quite sure. But even if that was the case she probably did it because she was that desperate to help.
Her head would turn towards the stage however to see people beginning to crowd around the stage. The actual exhibition must’ve been starting, Mocci thought. That was the whole reason she came in the first place before he got wrapped up in cooking and selling snacks. “Hey, grandma?” the girl asked, turning her head over her shoulder to look back at an old woman, who would suddenly be woken from a sitting nap as the young girl called out towards her.
The woman would almost shock herself awake, jumping in her chair before quickly melting into a more peaceful demeanor with her hands folded in her lap. “It looks like the crowd’s died down for now, do you think you’ll be alright if I left?” she asked.
The older woman playfully scratched at her own chin, but couldn’t help give a smile before she’d answer. “I suppose,” she replied, setting her hands back down in her lap. “But make sure to come back, I know how these things tend to go. We’ll have a line again soon enough.”
Mocci would give an anxious smile in response. “Alright then, I’ll be back in just a bit.”. Well, it looked like this was going to be the rest of her day. As long as she could get an hour or two of it to herself though, she’d be alright with it. It wasn’t like she had any other plans besides the exhibition so it wasn’t all bad. She stepped out of the booth and began to make her way towards the slowly amassing crowd around the stage. Her head would scan around the crowd as she tried to sense for any spikes in energy among them. She too could sense a few, but a lot less than she initially thought there’d be. She couldn’t even pick them out, there were too many people.
Oh well, the girl thought, looking back towards the one person who had walked out on stage. Maybe they’d step up and she’d be able to get a better read. At least, she intended to step up. That’s when a thought occurred to her…did you have to sign up beforehand to participate? Oh god, that’d be terrible! She got so swamped helping one old lady that she didn’t have the time!

From her trek in the wintry slopes of Frappe Mountain, the wayward Demon was eager to return to warmer climates and civilization. In the past few weeks, she’d traveled more than she ever had while in the Demon Realm – not that there was much there to discover without nearly losing your life among the struggle. Thankfully, her Clan was large enough to inhabit and protect a large enough territory that she scarcely had to risk her life.
But here, on the western verge, where land was aplenty and there was hardly a dull moment, Zriracha found herself enjoying the returned of nearly feral excitement. It was a gathering of people, like that of a village during a festival, that held all sorts of entertainment. Many seeked to fill their coffers with the weak-willed and frivolous, while others desired nothing more than to lose themselves in the joys of drink, song and merriment. She walked among them, minding the stares as she also imbibed in their food. It was a large and delectable haunch of turkey meat, wrapped in a foil at the end to keep the grease from burning her – not that she minded the heat.
Walking through the crowds, Zriracha happened upon a gaggle of people gathering around what looked to be a circle. She narrowed her eyes, using her height to ascertain that there must have been some sort of conflict. During frivolities? She nudged passed people, standing heads taller than most to see two apparent fighters getting ready to challenge the other. Her frown screwed up into a confused expression and she leaned down to whisper loudly to a fellow spectator, “Are these two having a bout to entertain or has one wronged the other?”
The human she spoke to blinked at her before they spoke, hesitant to talk to a goat lady, “Uhm, entertainment? The first guy is the one in charge but… I don’t know who the other one is. Probably the first challenger of the day!” The human seemed excited to witness the fight, and – if she had to be honest – so was she. Finally, she smirked and leaned back up before she threw her arm up to pump the air with a fist.
“BREAK THEIR FACE!” She declared, encouraging the newest fighter and ripping a large bite from her turkey leg in anticipation.

When a second man walked on stage, Vangreth figured out that, since it was some sort of martial art event, they would surely fight, and perhaps he could learn a bit of Earthling Martial Art while looking at them; just enough to know some moves and recognize them, perhaps if someone uses them on him or something? Honestly, he was just trying to find a reason to stay here and watch the show, a reason that would justify him not leaving and doing something more productive of this day… The Muko-jin chuckled when he heard someone in the distant crowd yelling ‘break their leg’ out loud; it even seemed like this had a ripple effect, as the crowd began to chant for bloodshed, apparently hyped up by the demon’s call for action… which was fair considering a few minutes had passed with both men on stage without really anything happening.
The first one to walk on stage would grab his mic and take a flamboyant pose toward the crowd.
‘’ ARE YOU READY? ARE YOU HYPED ENOUGH?! THIS IS THE EVENT OF THE YEAR! ‘’
The crowd began to cheer up as the man’s charisma and energy seemed to work well with the mass of Earthlings that were ready to see bloodshed.
‘’ ON THE STAGE RIGHT NOW, IS THE WEST’S STRONGEST FIGHTER! OUR FUTURE PUPIL FOR THE NEXT WORLD’S MARTIAL ART CHAMPIONSHIP! THE INVINCIBLE! THE UNDEFEATED! THE REINCARNATION OF HERCULES HIMSELF! SENÀN LOCHLAINN! ‘’
When he said that, the showman stepped aside to give a better view of the man he was praising the whole time… and while he did look like someone who’d be worthy of those praise; he was standing at easily 7 feet, was arguably twice as wide as Vangreth, who was no pushover either, and his muscles, when flexed, would grow even more disproportionate! He was bald, probably due to use of toxic substance, and was intimidating enough, was it not for the fact that…
Well…
[ Wow… this guy… he’s…] Vangreth was thinking, using his ki-sensing ability to properly size up the man.. and…
[ He’s absolutely weak! Barely stronger than the average Earthling here… and significantly weaker than any spike I can sense in the crowd… This World Martial Art Championship must be a real joke…]
While he was thinking that, Vangreth saw the crowd cheer it up even louder, could they not sense anything? Well, probably not, since they were barely of any weight in term of ki, but were they so simple as to accept someone is strong just because he was large and intimidating?
After he was done doing his little monologue, the showman stood back at the front of the stage with his usual energy, doing even more ridiculously extra poses, hyping the crowd even more.
‘’ AND TODAY! THE GREAT SENÀN WILL SHOW YOU JUST HOW STRONG HE IS! BY TAKING ANY PERSON IN THE CROWD WHO HAS ENOUGH COURAGE TO FACE HIM IN A DUEL! WILL THERE BE ANYONE OUT THERE, STUPID ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE THE IMPOSSIBLE? THE FACE THE MOUNTAIN OF MUSCLE AND POWER IN FRONT OF YOU? I WELCOME ANYOME WILLING TO DO SO TO STEP UP ON THE STAGE, AND FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR CRAZY HOPES!’’
After that, a bunch of stairs dropped from the stage, facing the crowd, and there was a long silence; possibly because those who would want to challenge the ‘Strong’ man were not the ones right on front.
Vangreth shrugged… if he was to step up and face that man, not only would he be able to simply put him down with a finger, but people would probably freak out, since they held the man so high above the rest… but he did wish someone would step up and end this buffoonery…

As the crowd around her would cheer and shout for muscle-bound man as he walked out on stage, Mocci couldn’t help but just be confused. No matter how much she tried to focus her ki sense, she just couldn’t get anything from him but a dull and flavorless taste. She couldn’t tell if it was because he was simply so weak or if it was because he was being overshadowed by this one, disgustingly sweet spikes of Ki in the audience, or even both. Maybe there was something more to it? Maybe he was still as strong as he was hyped up to be and there was just something more to him than just raw power.
Mocci placed a hand on her hip as she tilted her head in a confused manner. If that were true, then why was every bit of hype and presence this guy was exuding say nothing more than raw power? Whatever the case was, she wanted to see so for herself. She wanted to see a professional martial-artist in action with her own eyes. She began to move idly through the crowd as many of them seemed to lose their enthusiasm at the offer of a challenge until she could get to the front. Once there, she’d walk up the stairs to the stage, standing before both the announcer and ‘The Great Senàn’, giving the both of a slight bow of her head.
“If it would be alright, I’d like to challenge The Great Senàn.” Mocci requested, a small grin forming across her lips as she spoke with a tease to her tone. The girl, who based on her appearance couldn’t have been older than seventeen or eighteen, was practically dwarfed in size by the gargantuan, seven-foot-tall man. But nonetheless, she seemed confident enough to be the first to challenge him. Thinking on it, she couldn’t recall being in a proper fight before. Up until now, it was mostly just training, workouts, and breaking whatever inanimate object happened to be the focus of her frustration on that day.
But now she’d hopefully get to dive into the deep end, so the speak! It all hinged on this seven-foot-tall, wall of muscle being just as competent and strong as he was hyped up to be.

In the beginning of the ‘Champions’ speech made by the narrator of the event, Zriracha was excited and rallied thoroughly. She wanted to see what this supposed ‘Greatest Fighter of the West’ was capable of against a simple warrior of the area. However, half-way through and a cursory sniff of hope, Zriracha was woefully disappointed to scent that this human carried a rather… mild spiciness. If it could be spicy at all. Her previous enthusiasm had faltered into a straight-faced disappointment. She huffed through her nose and had contemplated to leaving the area to seek out other entertainment… when it appeared a new challenger was ready and willing to take up the larger fighter up on his offer. They were small and appeared diminutive, but Zriracha knew better than to allow the appearance of another to overtake wisdom. She scented her. What she scented was absolutely hilarious and ironic at the same time. This. This would be entertainment. With another bite of her turkey, she walked forward passed the crowd and nearly upon the stage, her height allowing her to rest against the floor as she chewed. Zriracha swallowed and spoke, pointing to the young girl with a clawed finger, “I’m betting on her.” And, with a flourish of some secret magic, she produced a handful of fake bills to throw up onto the stage to incite some real chaos. The crowds below seemed to literally lose their shit, scrambling along the ground to grasp at currency that had fallen from the stage and others were now crying for blood. Whether they also bet on the girl was beyond her care. She supported her head under an arm, watching the girl with a devilish grin and winked at them cryptically. Vangreth

When a seemingly very young girl stepped on the stage, the hype-man seemed at first confused, but a man of his talent wasn’t going to let himself be distracted by this particular situation, he had seen much more! The human let out a soft, endearing chuckle before taking the mic back to his mouth, keeping the hyping ton he was using all through the show.
‘’ IS THIS THE MOST COURAGEOUS ACT PEOPLE FROM THE WESTS CAN CONJURE? DOES THIS LITTLE GIRL REPRESENT ALL OF YOUR FIGHTING SPIRIT? I HEARD THE WEST WAS HOUSE TO THE BEST AND MOST COURAGEOUS MARTIAL ARTIST, BUT IT SEEMS ONLY A LITTLE GIRL HAS THE GUTS TO SHOW IT!’’ After saying that, he would get closer to the little girl, whispering in her hear.
‘’ What’s your stage name? Don’t worry, he’ll go easy on you, for the show, he’s not as mean as he looks.’’
With a bit of a silent moment, the crowd seemed to cheer for the little girl; they mostly thought it was for the show, as a little girl would had never challenged such a powerful mountain of awesomeness, right?! The crowd began to cheer the little girl on, as you would expect such an event, to boost her confidence!
Vangreth on the other hand… well… he knew better. The moment the female Earthling walked on stage, he grinned, knowing exactly were this was going and how it would end, but it didn’t make it less funny to think about it. Mocci was perhaps dwarfed by Senàn’s size, but in term of power, he was barely an ant’s nest next to Mocci’s hill. The Muko-jin observed the scene with great expectation, already laughing inside at the thought of the surprise the crowd and the great reincarnation of Hercules was about to get.
While the showman was talking to the girl, the great Senàn would pic up a microphone and step up closer to the crowd.
‘’ So this little girl is your champion uh?! Alright! Then the GREAT SENÀN! THE INVICIBLE! Will accept this challenge! Let’s see just how powerful your most courageous fighter is! ‘’
And after saying that, the huge Earthling would simply head for the make-shift ring in the middle of the stage and wait for the showman to announce his opponent; looking at mean and brutal as he could and flexing towards the crowd to heat them up.

It’d be hard for Mocci to not be momentarily distracted by the crowd’s sudden enthusiasm. She turned her head over her shoulder, looking back at the people scrambling along the ground to pick up scattered bills of Zeni. What was going on? She looked about, quickly spotting the Demon leaning against the stage who would look to her with a grin and a wink. The Earthling girl could only give a confused look towards them before she’d turn her attention back to the two on the stage. Well, she didn’t expect this to turn into a blood sport, but that seemed to be what the crowd wanted. Were things really that boring out here?
As she was asked for a stage name, Mocci would appear at a loss for words for the moment. “A Stage Name?” she repeated back with a slightly confused tone and a tilt of her head. She didn’t know martial arts required that sort of showmanship. She raised a hand up, pinching her chin with her thumb and index finger as she’d try and think of one on the spot. It wouldn’t stick with her, right? She didn’t need to think too hard on it if so. If anything it’d be a sort of experimental name while she thought of one for the future. “Just call me The Valkyrie then,”. That’d be a good enough name, the girl thought. It was anything in the same ballpark as THE GREAT SENÀN THE INVINCIBLE, but it was good enough to play along with.
“Oh! But - ” Mocci would quickly speak up again as the mountain of a martial artist would continue to hype up the crowd, taking the chance to further speak with the announcer. “Please, tell him -” she motioned over towards the wall of muscle still screaming into his microphone “- not to go easy. I came here to learn all I could firsthand from a professional, and all of these people came for the show.” The girl was still under the impression that this Great Senàn, was somehow hiding his true power. That there was something to him that would elevate him to at the very least on par with her, though her expectations were a bit higher than that.
Afterward, once the huge Earthling would finish speaking to the crowd, she as well would make her way over towards the makeshift arena. With a deep breath, she’d take one a fighting stance in preparation, trying to calm her nerves for what she anticipated to be an actual fight.

As the crowds called for blood, spurned on by her gesture and the great arrogance of the Human that called for challenges, Zriracha couldn’t help but feel as if she were privy to some sort of secret joke. Her hearing wasn’t spectacular as some of her brothers and sisters’ but they were much higher than a Humans’, and thus she could hear the young girl suggest her stage name and to not have the Senan hold back on her. Heh, that is not going to do her much good. I wonder if she is capable of feeling just how weak this one is? She continued to watch the girl, curious as to how the fight would pan out. Maybe she’d be surprised. Vangreth

Hearing of the little girl’s stage name, the showman quickly got up with his mic skills still intact, he would turn to the crowd and point at them with his usual energy and a wide smirk; still being as extra as one person could possibly be without throwing itself in the crowd or making actual explosions appear!
‘’ LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE GREAT SENÀN’S FIRST OPPONENT WILL BE THE BEAUTIFUL! THE ADORABLE! THE MOST COURAGEOUS ONE THEM ALL! LADY VALKYRIE! ‘’
And saying that, he turned to her as Mocci would get thundering applauds from the crowd and people cheering on the name that she was given. Meanwhile, the showman would go back to her and listen to what she had to say, frowning heavily.
‘’ You do know that this man crushed men bigger than him? I understand that you want to show courage, but worry not, he will let you have some glory. We don’t want you to be inj…’’
He stopped as he noticed her going to the ring; he was back to the crowd and could give a worried look towards her before going back to his professional ways and turning back to the crowd.
‘’ HOW LONG WILL LADY VALKYRIE STAND AGAINST THE NEW HERCULES! WHO BETWEEN NORSE OR ROMAN HAD THE BEST MYTHOLOGY? IT’S TIME TO FIND OUT IN THIS EPIC BATTLE OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATION! ‘’
Back in the crowd, Vangreth frowned; he had been walking for a bit now and managed to find what he supposed to be another person of strength, and approached her, hoping she was in the known as well.
‘’ Poor guy, he doesn’t stand a chance, and with all that build up, he might completely lose any credibility to those who don’t know better. He’s not even half-bad for a human.’’
Saying that, he would manage to reach Zriracha and stand next to her, smiling lightly and nodding at the demoness politely as a way to introduce himself; from the look of her, he had a feeling she wouldn’t ask for much more reverence, especially in these conditions… more than that, he’d judge her as the kind of person to introduce themselves with their fists, which was something Vangreth could respect.
Back on the stage, the Great Senàn was flexing his muscles for the crowd for a moment, then would look down at Mocci, saying his a much lower voice.
‘’ You have guts kid. I’ll let you get a few punches in, then I’ll take you out the ring gently, this should be good for both of us.’’
