She refused to consider what she was doing the ‘walk of shame’. It was a glorious battle that sent her blood soaring higher than she could ever remember. Still, she was in pain in places she didn’t realize she had and it showed as she limped from the seedier parts of South City and back into the limelight of the better maintained half. She ignored the looks given to her; it was obvious by her state of bodily injury that she was likely the subject of pity and disgust.
With every pitiful ‘CLAK’ of her hooves against the pavement, Zriracha limped her way toward what she hoped was some sort of medical facility. There was a pain in her hooves that she couldn’t quite place when she got it, but it ached heavily.
She noticed a building with a sign that displayed what looked like bandages. She stared at it, growling in the back of her throat, before walking inside. A few long moments later, she would be walking out with a red bag that had a white cross on it. Thanks to her ability to materialize currency, she had a first aid kit. Now she just had to figure out the uses for patching herself up.

Flip's PL: 35,704 It had been some time since Flip had been on Earth. When the big Gamble had been completed, he had made it to the stars and had been in space ever since. Konats, Vegeta, Namek. Plenty of hotspots throughout the galaxy. But that didn't mean he could ignore Earth, his home. The place was like a hub of activity throughout the whole galaxy. People from all walks of life came here, and it wasn't just to hunt for the Dragon Balls. He had heard rumours that they had appeared here, but Flip had decided to stay out of it. Too many strong hands searching for them already. So for now, he was walking down the street, twirling his cane and whistling a small tune. Ah, the hustle and bustle of the city. It had been a while since he'd been able to just walk along and take in the city life. You never know what interesting characters you would encounter here. And one such character he did encounter. Judging by her appearance, she was a demon, and one that had been through a tough time as of late. If her limp and the first aid kit she was holding had anything to go by. He gave a small chuckle. Only on Earth. He tipped his hat and he approached her. "Well, good day to you ma'am," Flip said, approaching the demon, "Looks like you've had a bit of a scuffle earlier. I can't help but wonder who'd have the audacity to strike a lady like that."Zriracha

She was already wrist deep into the first-aid kit, a big boy of a bag that she’d spent a few bills on, when the voice of a stranger caught her attention. She looked up, gauze in hand, and appraised the finer dressed gentleman. He was equipped with a cane but certainly didn’t appear to need it; it only slightly annoyed her to see such a grievous misuse of medical equipment for the ill of mobility, but who was she to judge those whom had money and style. She gave a shrug, not at all in the mood for their honeyed words, “It is of no consequence – a result of my own ignorance that was remedied the hard way,” The hint of a smile twitched upon her lips before it faded away. “Although it was exhilarating to battle someone so far out of my skill.”
For a moment, she indulged in the feeling of remembrance before she looked back at the stranger and grimaced. She was being rude again, likely from her injuries. Zriracha stood with a growl, ignoring the pain in her hoof, and made to bow from her hips with a fist over her chest. “Forgive my aggression. I am known as Zriracha of Chakkapak. Who, may I ask, are you Concerned Stranger?”

Flip didn't seem offended at all by her blunt nature. In fact, he almost seemed a little bit amused by it. He had seen this sort of individual before. A fighter, good and proud. A look over her told him that she was of some considerable strength. Not as strong as he was, but she certainly had been working hard. When she introduced herself with a rather rigid bow, Flip blinked and then chuckled. "Oh dear, where are my manners? I am Flip Fortuna, owner of the Big Gamble. You might have noticed it. The big ship that's hovering in orbit right now? I thought I'd just take a simple stroll through the town, see if anything interesting has changed since I was gone." he eyed her with a charming smile, "Gotta say, not disappointed so far."Zriracha

Zriracha leaned up from her bow, curious as to what Flip Fortuna spoke of, and looked to the sky. If it weren’t strange, she might have looked adorable looking for something in the sky that clearly could not be seen the naked eye. “Is it? I am not very familiar with vessels that traverse space, I am afraid. There was a 'Pod' once that I attempted to assist with but that was beyond my understanding.” She shook her head, likely not looking in the correct direction – she would take Flip’s word for it. Gambling was something she had heard of, however, and couldn’t help the question as it jettisoned from her mouth, “You tempt humans into separating them from their fortunes with frivolity? That is no easy task!” She laughed, remembering all the times she had tried to coerce her brethren to giving her what she wanted through bribery.
It wasn’t the same, but the concept remained.
She continued to riffle through the bag, her next item to apply being the tape for the gauze over her burns. Wait! She forgot ointment! More riffling through the bag produced a tube which she spread generously over a particularly bad case of road rash. She followed that up with the gauze and tape before padding the patched wound. Next she would focus on whatever hurt her hoof; honestly, she was a little afraid to see…

Flip couldn't help but chuckle as Zriracha looked up at the sky, trying to find his ship. He couldn't help but find it a little adorable. "Afraid it's a bit higher than that. Up in the planet's orbit. Great view of the Earth and the stars from up there,"[/b] Flip chuckled, giving the demonness a smile. Then she complimented him on his ability to lure the people in with gambling. He gave a small laugh himself. "Oh, thank you very much. Really, with enough style, and the promise of fortune, people just walk right in. Sure, some walk out with more than they came in, but more often than not, they're walking out several hundred zeni shorter. But heck, I try to give them some good memories in compensation." Indeed, to run a successful casino was like running a successful criminal empire. You needed a sharp mind, and a really sharp sense of style. and both things, Flip had in spades. As he watched her going through the first aid kit, he couldn't help but notice that she was having a...little trouble getting everything together. Had she never had to bandage herself up before? It was a little adorable, but at the same time, was quite strange as well. He rose an eyebrow, looking at her curiously. "Erm, you need any help Miss Zriracha?"Zriracha

“Yes. Please,” She was grateful to have run into someone that was kind enough to help. While she had some experience in patching herself up, it was through means more supernatural and magical than… well, this. Physical dressings and adhesive patches were bothersome and burdening – never mind how inefficient they were in comparison to the wonders of healing through magic! Still, she had little recourse but to accept her fate and recover her magic. He healed relatively fast for a Demon with nary a talent for the restorative talents. She shifted the bag to him, handing it over and moved to allow him to sit on the bench at his own behest. As she allowed him to dress her wounds at his own pace and style, Zriracha humored him with conversation to pass the time. “So, you said you have a ship in ‘orbit’? Tell me about space. Is it… empty? I have heard there are planets out in space but I have need had the pleasure of exploring such territory. In my short time on Earth, it has already proven to be much larger and varied than my home.”
It wasn’t the most Grade A topic of conversation, especially for one whom may find space quite boring in comparison to Earth, but it was something she’d heard of in bits and pieces. Perhaps travel was in her future if she could understand it. Flip Fortuna

Well, at least she wasn't too proud to accept help. That was a good sign. Pride was good and all, but if it ended up hindering you, it was a real problem. As the demonness moved to sit down, Flip accepted the bag and with great care started to dress her wounds. He had gotten skilled in patching himself up when he was working on the streets. He had gotten into a lot of fights, and he didn't win all of them. Well, at least he hadn't gotten to the point where some first aid couldn't help him. And she was so kind as to start some conversation as well. Speaking about space and having never had the opportunity to explore space for herself. He couldn't blame her for that. Most people went throughout their lives without being off this planet. "Well, for the most part, it is empty. Just nothing but vacuum, asteroids, and stars. But, out there, are other worlds as well. Vegeta, Konats, Namek, Arcose, and many, MANY more. all with a wide variety of people and sites to see. And yet, no matter where you go, you'll always find something familiar." The universe was funny like that. A thought then occurred to him as he bandaged her leg. "You know, if you want, I can arrange to have you brought up to my ship. Give you a taste of what life's like off of the planet."Zriracha

Zriracha listened, just enjoying the act of not doing anything strenuous as Flip described what space was like. The various planets that he mentioned were more so lost on her out of ignorance, but she would remember them if it came to their mentioning. What was the most interesting was the idea of meeting other people – perhaps some that might be like her out in the vastness of space? Demons were wont to explore if they were powerful, seeking to conquer and claim. However, there was also Perfect… young, woefully weak for her species but somehow on Earth. She ‘hm’ed softly, lost in her thoughts for a moment before Flip made a suggestion that caught her off guard. “Me… in space? I-I mean on your ‘ship’ in space?” The opportunity was so strange and unexpected that Zriracha would be a fool to not accept. She blinked rapidly and shook her head of awe before she accepted, “I would be most honored if you would allow me as a guest. However, I do admit that I would be most displeased were something to happen that leads to my death. I am trusting you, Flip Fortuna.” Her tone was playful, an underlying inflection of warning meant merely to keep him on his toes. Flip Fortuna

Flip gave a small chuckle at her reaction. Oh, he could tell she was excited about the idea. She wanted to be out in space, and Flip was more than happy to offer her the chance. Really, if he was able to, he wouldn't mind bringing her into the organization. She seemed like the sort that would fit in. But one thing at a time. No sense in rushing things. "Oh my dear Zriracha, I wouldn't dream of it. I assure you the Big Gamble's an upstanding place, and I wouldn't dare harm a guest. I merely wish to give you what you wish, and perhaps offer you more." he finished bandaging up her leg, slowly rising to his feet. Ok, that should about do it. "I have a shuttle not too far from here. We can head up to the Big Gamble at any time."Zriracha

Once he was finished with her leg, Zriracha would press and pat it – giving a nod of acceptance at how well dressed it was. Although she couldn’t… 100% trust him, she would give him the benefit of a doubt. She smirked at him, getting back to her hooves from the bench. Precariously, she took a few tentative steps and winced at the pain in her hoof, I do not know how I could have forgotten about that. For now, she would have to bite her tongue and accept the pain until it healed on it’s own. She turned to Flip, “I am ready to be a guest whenever you are ready to guide. Is there anything I should bring with me? Anything I shouldn’t bring with me?” She imagined materializing her swords under duress – should it come to that – might complicate matters. Flip Fortuna

Indeed it seemed she still felt a little pain from her injuries, but not enough to really hamper her in the slightest. Flip gave her a pleased smile. "By all means, bringing whatever you like with you. If you're going to be a guest, I want you to be as comfortable as possible. Now, if you're ready, my shuttle's not too far away. We'll get you up to the Big Gamble in no time!"Indeed, the trip seemed to both take a while, and yet, no time at all. It had been peaceful enough. At least, as peaceful as a ship leaving earth's atmosphere could be. But it wasn't long before the large form of the Big Gamble came into sight. A massive, beautiful ship, all lit up and even from outside, swarming with activity. Their shuttle made their way to one of the hangers, slowly gliding in and coming to a stop. A man in a suit was there, waiting for them. "Welcome back Mr. Fortuna," he said, before giving Zriracha a respectful bow. Flip smiled and twirled his cane. "My dear, let me be the first to welcome you to the Big Gamble!"Zriracha

Oh, that was a surprise – albeit a pleasant one. With excitement that was a struggle to temper, Zriracha gave an enthusiastic nod and would follow Flip to the shuttle that was close by in the city. Inside the ship, she couldn’t deny how worried she was as the guides inside had her strap in for the launch. A cursory glance inside had her observing all the different tools that were hung neatly along the walls. When the shuttle finally set off, Zriracha went stock-still – her eyes wide with fear and body taught rigidly as the rumble and turbulence of flight had her anxiety shoot through the roof. Thankfully, the trip did not last long and she couldn’t help but be jealous as how calm and collected (almost content) the others aboard the ship were. Once connected to the grand-looking ship known as the ‘Big Gamble’, Zriracha made to qualms about rushing out of the shuttle and into the larger rooms. She grappled the wall, her legs shaking as she tried to adapt to walking again. She turned towards Flip to look at all he gestured to. It was enough to allow her to forget her anxiety and really take it all in. It was amazing, filled with different strange technologies that glimmered and glinted, shone and sparkled. These were games? A ship filled with games to entertain humans?! “A-All of these are for entertainment? And humans pay you to play on them… win money?” Currency wasn’t a problem for her, but… how could she refuse trying at least a few of these?! Her expression was of excitement impatience as she threw a question to Flip, “How much does it cost to play them?”

Just seeing the look of wonder and excitement on her face. It caused Flip to laugh. Ah, the joys of introducing someone to a world of sin. "That's the general idea. Play for a chance to increase your fortunes. But there's always the risk you'll lose, so don't get mad if you do. But that's not all." he smiled, gesturing over to the stage, where the twin aliens, Shymer and Gleem were busy performing, "We've got live entertainment, we have sports coverage from different planets. Food, drinks. There's even a fighting ring on one of the upper levels, if you want to watch a match. Or heck, even enter into one, if you so wish." The woman looked like a fighter. Perhaps she would be interested in going a couple of rounds. A new face was always good at bringing in the bets. At her question about the cost, Flip smiled, looking around. "Well, it depends on what you want to play, and how much you wish to wager. The slots machines cost the least, but there's a less chance for a big reward. The various card and table games, well, you can bet as much as you wish. Higher chance to win big, but at the same time, higher risk. If you're going to gamble, gamble responsibly." Sure, it was always easy to just clear someone out. But someone who knew what they were doing and continued to come back, that's where the real money lied. After all, gamblers got hungry and thirsty as well. Zriracha

As Flip explained to her the different kind of machines and how their price to play varied by how easy it was to make money, Zriracha would walk around and touch them with the wonder of a child. A few patrons were already at play, hardly giving her the passing of a glance before they returned to their merriment. Well… some were in merriment. She eyed a particularly frustrated individual at a table where many others were all playing a game of cards with some sort of collection of chips in the center. For every play they made, another would swoop in with a better one and take the money they shelled out. Another cry of frustration, followed by the amusing show of them giving up by ruining the game with a swipe of his arm. “Hm… perhaps I may be able to earn something for my troubles here as well,” Zriracha mused softly to herself, eyeing the downtrodden man as he lumbered off somewhere. For now, however, she had already been piqued on the interesting idea of fighting matches. She doubted any could best her, if the situation on Earth with the ‘West’s Best’ turning out to be a flop. Zriracha gestured for Flip to guide her, “Please lead me to the Fighting Arena. I wish to best all of your challengers,” She boasted with a wink. Flip Fortuna
