“That being said, how was your overall time on Namek? Besides, well, perishing unjustly.” Valan winced, it gave him grave discomfort to witness or overhear whenever the type of morally upstanding mortals he took a liking to met an end far to early. Typha was no different in this scenario, and Valan didn’t even need to know the Konatsian all that well since the warrior was a student of King Kai. “How do the people there fare? Are they well? Statistically, I am lead to believe that they are; but I’d much prefer to know the immediate climate from mortal eyes— that way I’ll know what I’m getting into when I travel there eventually.”
On the topic of food, Valan brought out his own supply of Shoki; enough for a sandwich and accompanying drink, offering Typha the payment for the order that was going to be made. “Here, this would cover my side of things. I would also like a Spirit Pop, blueberry and lime flavor, please.” Mortals seemed to really like carbonated drinks, and sure, Hetap was good, but Valan didn’t think it held so much as a spark to Spirit Pop let alone a candle light.

"I didn't get to be there that long before I died." Typha mused as Valan asked how his time was there. "It was not that bad dying though. I deserved to die in the end. Plus I got to defend the people of Namek. They got the dragonballs back now and can use them to help people rather than Monster harm someone else." Typha smiled. Then he asked about his people. "I think they are all doing fine. I can't say I know the answer since I am dead. Last time I was there everyone was rebuilding so that was a good sign. As long as they keep in the road to recovery I have nothing to worry about." Typha smiled. As long as his people were happy then he could be happy. He'd looked at Valan as he put down money to pay for himself. He did want to pay for him out of kindness but he'd not complain that he would save some shoki. Typha took back some of the money that he had used to buy the sandwich for Valan since he was paying for himself and nodded. "That will be all." The Ogre went into the back as Typha moved to some tables near the window and pulled two chairs so Yudi and Valan could sit first. Yudi stood in place and waited for Valan to go first.

Valan listened intently to what Typha had to say, but his expression turned into a bit of a frown. “That is a shame, Namek is a beautiful world.” The Shinjin sighed, his brow furrowing. “However, I must disagree on view of your demise. I doubt that you deserved to die. I would ask why you think so, but I assume the reasoning is personal— and I will not pry if you are unwilling to share. Simply put, if you were sent to Heaven, you are not a bad person. Yemma never judges incorrectly.” Valan spoke in an incredibly stern manner, it was not likely that he would budge nor be discouraged from having his current opinion.
On the plus side, Namek seemed to be doing just fine according to Typha, and that was a great relief to Valan. “Very good. I must say I am rather proud of the Namekian populace. They are a rather resourceful people, despite what some dreadfully ignorant fools may say.” Perhaps Typha had nothing to worry about, but the mortal realm could benefit from having one of it’s finest back. Thankfully, it seemed that would be taken care of soon enough given what Typha had disclosed thus far. Valan promptly followed Typha and Yudi as they selected a table to sit at, giving the employees of the sandwich shop a kind smile and nod. The Shinjin had no preference for any specific seat so he just took the one closest to him upon arrival. “Thank you, Typha.”

Typha looked at Valan as he seemed to disagree with the fact that he didn't deserve to die. Typha waved his hand, "I did. I failed to protect my people. I think dying is one way to pay that back. If I had been stronger or wiser then nothing bad would have happened to them." Typha calmly stated hiding the sadness they bubbled under the surface. He also stated that Yemma never was wrong in his judgments in people. Typha nodded. Maybe the King was right but that didn't mean he was all good or high up in that totem pole. It could of just meet that he was higher on the side of good then the side of evil. Plus he had the vouch of Oboe what would have happened if he didn't. Typha didn't want to think about it that much. Yudi and Typha sat down at the table as Typha looked over at the front. He knew it would be a bit but he could smell a great smell from the back. He couldn't wait to have some. Typha looked back at Valan as he had some word on the Namekians. "They are great but they need people to protect them or they need to grow stronger. If they don't then they won't be able to stop the bad that comes to the planet forever." Typha mused with a sigh.

Valan scoffed and gave off a smirk, he was beginning to understand why Typha said what he did. “I suppose we can agree to disagree. In my opinion, failure is not the inability to accomplish a task. True failure comes from the inability to learn from what went wrong. If you are up here in heaven after death, then you have learned quite a lot, enough for what good you did to, to be recognised. This might not make much sense, but Hell is for the people that have a lot left to learn... Though yes it is of course also for the truly damned and nefarious, that much is obvious.” The Shinjin casually shrugged, looking around at the other customers in the sandwich shop as he waited patiently for his order alongside the other two.
“Would it bring you peace of mind if I was to take some time and assess the situation on Namek? If and when you are revived, should you choose to head elsewhere I could always contact you in the mortal realm to give you a run down on what is happening.”

Typha nodded as Valan spread some wisdom upon him. He knew Valan was most likely correct but it didn't mean he feel that was the best answer to his pain. He had failed and no actions he could take would fix the errors he had made. Typha was just going to have to keep going and try to do all the good he could to maybe make up for some of the pain he had caused. He had a good start before his death and hopefully, he could keep it up once he was back in the world of the living. "That's true I suppose I'll just do what I can." Typha shrugged, it was all he could say to that. When Valan asked if it would be helpful if he asset the situation on namek before he was brought back. "Hmm, I am not sure. I guess if you plan to already go I appreciate that but I don't know what I'll do when I come back. I might be running around with all the stuff that must have happened after I died." Yudi nodded as his friend spoke. "Yah I bet we will be running around. It seems that the universe never has a dull moment."

“Indeed, and I am sure you shall one day make amends for your perceived failures. At the very least— you do have my support.” Valan added with a slight bow. “That is fine by me, I have a lot of time that needs occupying. So, I have always figured why not do something with it. It is of course convenient that our concerns for the mortal realm seem to be aligned; it makes sense to act upon it for the overall betterment of Mortal societies.”
Valan nodded, Yudi was correct; even in the ‘peace times’ that the Shinjin had observed over his many years, the Mortal realm was not dull. Conflict still existed and will continue to exist— what governed it’s impact is how people choose to deal with it. “Mhm. I can attest to this, Yudi; since I have seen a few milleniums come and go for better and for worse.”

Typha nodded. He was hoping that Valan was correct that he could one day make amends but that didn't mean he'd ever forgiven himself. As for Valan helping them, he bowed his head again in thanks. These Kai's had really been so helpful to him. They all were doing what they could to make his life in the otherworld and return to the living as streamlined as possible. Yudi turned his head to Valan as he made the point that even in all the years been around their really had not been a dull moment. "Yah guess someone out there is gonna wanna do something." Typha rubbed his chin in thought. Would it not be better there were some dull moments? It would be great if people could just be at peace with their lives but I guess that would be unfair. It was not like it before what happened to Konats, Typha was at least peace with himself. He was attached to being a prince when he just wanted to be a warrior.

Valan nodded to Yudi “All beings with free will shall hold true desire for something of their own making. Sometimes, individuals with similar wants and desires will emerge— that is what makes them friends or allies. On the other hand, there will be those that want something that others do not, in this regard they create enemies. Both of these scenarios can result in rivals, however.” Valan was quite aware this could be a rather obvious statement to some, but even the most basic principles of free thinking life deserved respect, recognition and in some cases repetition.
“Conflict happens. It is unavoidable. It is a result of free will. Many have made attempts to snuff out free will in the universe— and that is most unwise. Indeed, free will brings out the worst in people, but it also brings out the best in them. Beings of free will can feel love, compassion for one another. They laugh, they joke— they live as a result of beautiful chaos. If that which we know was truly dull... We would have lost that which makes it all truly worth it.” The Shinjin grew quite excited and animated as he spoke of his views to his two newest friends, there was a vibrant energy present in his tone when he spoke of life and the mortals that lived it. “This is why I cannot stand how many of my kind act. Not only have they not seen what I see... They often outright ignore it. One day though, I shall change that.” Valan smirked. Though he was unsure how exactly he was going to achieve this goal, he was fiercely determined to eventually manage it.

Typha and Yudi nodded as Valan gave his wisdom on the matter. Typha had to agree with much of what Valan had to say. People would have their wants and desire that would bring them together as allies. Yet when that faded other difference many get in the way. It reminded him a bit of his own experience with the saiyan kingdom. While they had been quite kind he was also forced to be allied with them or face the chance of not being able to revive his people. There was going to be conflict no what any of them did. It was the nature of life that people who want something and another group would also desire it. "Yes, I'd much rather be free of my will then to have none of it. It is all apart of being mortal in some ways." Typha mused and sighed. He wished he had a better thinking mind on all this he could not keep up with Valan on that account. Valan seemed to be jumbling at excitement at the thought. Guess being stuck here where order ruled would make you a bit happy to see what the universe had to offer. Standing on some high point as the Kai's did was not going to give you an understanding of how the world was.

Valan smiled, glad that Typha and Yudi had both considered his wisdom. “Precisely, good sirs. The power to make choices that are wholly your own is what makes people truly alive. Perhaps, if you are still intending to pay for what you perceive as failures or bad deeds done to your people— start with keeping them free from being used and manipulated. It will be hard to protect them, but nothing worth doing is ever easy.”
The Shinjin fell silent for a while, allowing the group some time to think on what had been said so far in their encounter. “Just remember, Typha, to consider your own freedom and wellbeing too. Duty is one thing, and a sense of justice is most admirable— but I have seen it destroy people from the inside out with the festering illness that is obsession. If that terrible fate was to befall you, who would remain of sound mind to protect Konats from that which would cause it and it’s people harm?”

Typha nodded along as Valan made his point. What was the point of being alive if they could not have a choice in anything they do."Yah I gotta agree with that." Typha grinned. "I love to have the choice to do what I want. Even if sometimes sit goes bad. If everything was just ordered in line and we had to just do what we're told or assigned then what would be the point of living." Typha smiled. This was a really nice to talk to have. It made him feel ready to come back to life and tackle the world. Despite all the stuff he was going to have to go through. Then he gave him a warning. To not become obsessed with duty and justice. Typha looked at him hard. He had a good point if he died then who else would protect Konats. "Guess I need to think about that." Typha had been chosen by King Kai so he felt it was somewhat his duty to help everyone but at the same time, no one else could protect Konats. This whole he had been dead something bad could have befallen his people. He'd shuddered to think for something like to happen. "So how do I balance that. I gotta protect the universe but also keep konats safe it is gonna be a lot of work." Typha bowed his head hopefully for Valan's wisdom.

“Exactly, thank you again, Typha!” It wasn’t much of a surprise that a mortal agreed with the idea, but it did wonders for Valan’s confidence that one would voice their opinion so positively. “Now if only more of my people thought the same of themselves” Valan chuckled and rolled his eyes dismissively. He couldn’t understand Shinjin society as it was right now— or in his eyes; as it always had been— and he wasn’t about to try any time soon.
Typha was willing to take Valan’s words to heart, but he needed a nudge in the right direction to make the most of it. Glad that Typha asked for his help, Valan gave the Konatsian’s inquiry some well deserved thought.
“First thing’s first; Just remember that you matter just as much as those you are the sword and shield for. Now, some will see you as only that— your best course of action is to mitigate the risk of such a thing occurring. Get to know the citizens of Konats, show them that you have feelings of your own. Show them those things, and they will understand that they can be as strong as you are. Make sure they can defend themselves too. That said, defending the universe... You are right in that it will be a lot of work. In fact, it is not something that can be done on your lonesome. It is, in fact, impossible. Let that sink in, do not even begin to entertain delusions of grandeur. Going solo in this regard is foolish and beyond idiotic.” Valan looked between Typha and Yudi. The Shinjin smiled, his gaze resting on the Ogre for a moment. “So, make friends, just as you have with Yudi here. Extend your friendship to many more like-minded people. He faced Typha once more before his ending statements. “Forge strong bonds. Be as sure as you can be that they will not break. Fight for those bonds and with those bonds going forward.”

Typha was glad that he was able to help Valan but he was more fixed on the advice that Valan had for him. He made the point that he mattered as much as everyone else on Konats, those he was protecting. He was unsure he agreed with that since he had failed before, but he supposed he should heed Valan advice. If he keeps himself down then he could not really connect and heal with his fellow Konatsian. He also made the point that he needed to make a lot of friends and needed to know he could not protect the universe on his own. "Right, I am only one person I can be as strong as I want but I cannot be in two places at once." He was pretty sure about that. He was sure the Multiform techquine would not allow him to split himself across a planet nor did he have the ability to learn such a techquine. Those mystic arts were beyond his understanding. "I don't plan to run in and die. I can't do that cause I'll leave Konats without protection." Typha smiled. Yudi nodded too as he listened to all this. "Yah Typha make strong bonds and don't be reckless. I do not want to be the one who drags your soul through the line and to King Yemma. I don't think he'd appricate it that much." Typha smiled.

“Can’t be in two places at once? Hmm, well, I suppose the art of such fine Spirit Control is not a commonality for everyone.” Valan gave a slight smirk, being intentionally vague. He didn’t expect Typha to know exactly what Spirit Control entailed, despite being a student of King Kai. “Regardless, if you do manage to find yourself able to do such a thing, I would not recommend using a technique without heed for any potential downsides.”
Valan was glad that Typha seemed confident enough that he had sense to not run into hazardous situations— and the Shinjin course additionally hoped that Typha was not woefully reckless during the incident that lead to his current demise. Valan appreciated Yudi’s agreement on the matter, and the Ogre’s stance confirmed Typha made at least one sensible friend aside from the Shinjin himself during this chance meeting. “If I may ask— do you currently have any notable allies to call upon? Aside from those that either reside on, or are visiting Namek of course.”
