“If thats what you want, but remember, every action he takes is only because you ALLOW him to. If he draws your home into conflict thats on you as well” In general Kayen was fine with the concept, conflict tended to bring out fighters true strengths but she got the feeling that seeing Konats thrown into potential war was something that would weigh heavily on Typha, better to hit him with the fact that his inaction COULD lead to the very thing he was likely doing all he could to avoid rather than letting it take him off guard entirely Typha was apparently disinterested in taking things slow and that got a grin from the Queen, a chance to test himself was exactly what she would give Typha, she watched as his power surged higher and higher, far beyond the familiar levels he had displayed during their last meeting, no longer was Typha just an amusing ambitious warrior with drive, now he was a serious contender with enough power that an attack from him would require her full might. For now she would see how he contended with her more controlled form of Super Saiyan power and perhaps later she would amp things up a bit to make things more interesting. Kayens transformation was far less dramatic than Typhas, where the Konatsian needed to force his power to come to the forefront Kayen’s power simply snapped to attention at a thought, her hair spiking up and burning a bright gold as her aura surged around her and the ruby around her neck began to glow dimly. “Would have been very awkward for you if you couldn't, but I’m sure I could have gotten you to power up to this by smacking you around for a while if you’d had trouble” Kayen said with a grin as she drew Fateburn from off her back “Out of curiosity, what IS that Afterlife like? Most of the Saiyans that returned claimed to have little memory of the experience but you clearly do”.

"That is true but I don't wanna think like that." Typha shook his head. Yet Kayen did have a point. He could easily take him off the throne but that'd not feel right. He could never do that to his own brother. Guess Kayen was the realist though. He prayed for the day that'd he never have to make the choice between Konats and his brother. He was quite sure he lacked the spirit to make such a choice. Typha did manage to power up as Kayen quickly just turned super saiyan. "Damn guess you got a lot better with that." Last time he saw her it took her a bit to go Super Saiyan. Guess that made sense it had been a few months Kayen must have gotten a lot better with time. What was crazy though was Kayen was still stronger by a good deal even with Kaioken Typha was a bit nervous. Yet that also got his blood rolling.
Typha stared down Kayen as she drew her blade. He remembered it quite well and he'd not be fooled to think Kayen was slow with it like before. Before he could attack however Kayen asked him a good question. What was the afterlife like? "Well, the afterlife has two parts to it. The heaven part has this whole city for the ogre. Then there is the planet of the Kai. That where I went to train which to get too was a large snake to cross. It was a fake snake but there was some mean ass lady on that bridge." Typha's good eye snapped with anger. HE remembered that princess snake all too much. He was glad he decked her for what she tried to do to him."As for hell well it not as bad as people say. Mostly just barren. I went down their to try to find my ancestor. Didn't find him which I suppose is good." Typha shrugged. "I can tell you more if you like but first."
Typha drew his sword and put it in front of him. He didn't want to attack right away he wanted to get an eye on her stance. Yet she didn't seem to be carrying anything he had to watch out for. Typha wondered if he should try something risky to get past her guard. He could use the Kaioken to give him a small boost right at the perfect time. Sweat covered Typha's face. He might as well try it. That was the only way he was going to land a good starting blow on Kayen. Typha charged at Kayen. "Alright, here I go." Typha charged right at Kayen an easily straightforward move. It was clearly a bait he didn't try to hide it. As he got close he'd flip up into he air above Kayen. He'd swing his sword down but quickly would slam his foot in the air bringing himself back towards the ground. He'd hoped all of this would get Kayen to raise his sword. A red aura sparked around Typha. Pain shot through him as he swung the hilt of his blade at Kayen's stomach with the force of a typhoon. "Kaioken!"

“Practice makes perfect, you’re not doing too bad yourself” Kayen said with a smirk as she settled into a fighting stance curious what sort of new tactics the Konatsian might employ after his time in the Otherworld, according to the Shinjin who had paid her a visit he had received direct training from some sort of otherworldly bigwig so there was a very good chance that Typha had even more to offer than his current power implied, for now she felt fairly confident in her ability to keep him under control due to the disparity in power between them but she would need to wait and see how much his fighting style had evolved under a new teacher. Kayen was surprised when Typha actually answered her question about what the Otherworld was like, she had sort of assumed there was some sort of magic or just rules to prevent him from talking about it but evidently not as Typha was ready willing and able to explain its nature to her, apparently the concepts of ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ were genuine though Hells reputation as a land of darkness and torture was evidently overblown, that or the bar for getting into Heaven was so low that there was nobody to be tormented for their ‘sins’. “We can chat about your vacation later” Kayen said with a smirk as Typha eyed her clearly sizing her up to figure out how he would go about fighting her, perhaps looking for an opening to exploit to gain some leverage in spite of her power advantage, but Kayens stance only opened the ‘usual’ openings that the Konatsian would expect, the same openings that Kayen herself was accustomed to having to work around. He ultimately decided on a straightforward, at least at first, attack rushing forward to close the distance before launching himself into the air, Kayen knew Typha was a tricky sort but her raw power advantage also allowed her a far faster reaction time, she raised Fateburn to block and even began to shift back to block his feint, and were things to have remained ‘normal’ Fateburn would have certainly found its way between Kayen and Typha’s attack… But then Typha’s power spiked, very suddenly and with little room for Kayen to process it, the window was so perfectly slim that the hilt of Typha’s blade passed just under the flat of Fateburn’s blade “Kaio-wha?” Kayen was taken aback as Typha slipped past Fateburn calling the name of… his attack? She did not remember Typha being much for naming his attacks. But she had little time to think about that as Typha’s attack struck true slamming directly into her stomach and winding the Queen as she stumbled back only keeping herself from flying away by digging her heel into the grooves of the gym arena’s flooring. “Thats new” Kayen growled sounding just as impressed as she was annoyed “Is that something of yours or apart of the training you received?” curiosity got the better of the Queen as she dropped any pretense of not knowing more about Typha’s time in the Otherworld than she had shown so far, despite the question though the Queen was quick to maintain the pace of the fight, rolling her shoulders and rushing forward to close the distance Typha’s attack had created with Fateburn burning bright as she brought the massive cleaver down on Typha!

Typha didn't go with the small talk he would talk more about heaven another time. The focus he has right now was dueling Kayen. Using the Kaioken he was able to get past Kayen's guard and hit her in the stomach with a powerful blow from the back of his sword. After hitting her with the Kaioken Typha huffed pain shooting through his body. He never thought the lowest level of Kaioken would feel this bad. Typha felt his knee buckle slightly. When Kayen asked if this was a new techquine he huffed. "Yah this is the technique taught to me by King Kai he is the best teacher in the otherworld. I can increase my battle level but I take damage in exchange. So it making me hard to catch my breath."
Typha wanted to get some more air but Kayen attacked with a powerful cleave. He knew he could not dodge it with his own normal movement. "Tch." As the blade came down Typha vanished using the afterimage technique to appear in the air above Kayen. He already had used a great deal of ki and while this form made his ki reserve explode he also could not regain his energy as fast. He could have used the Kaioken to boost his natural speed but that would have been foolish he had already told her it'd damage him so why would she not bait it out for him to use it on a non attack. Typha pointed his sword down. "Kaio!!!" Typha yelled as he flew down but it was not the Kaioken. He merely attempted to fake Kayen out to make her brace and make her think he planned to use it. He'd land and swing with a barrage of sword strikes trying to use this possible brace to overwhelm her with a quick barrage of speed.
Afterimage [SU1]: Through a sudden burst of speed you leave behind a static image of yourself to distract your opponent, this technique allows you to completely dodge techniques beneath 100% of your PL. This technique uses 1 KP in KP Battles. Kp:5/7

“I like the sound of that, I don’t imagine it’s something you could show me the technical aspects of so that I could use, is it?” Kayen questioned already more or less expecting the answer to be a resounding no, even if Typha COULD teach her their previous conversation and the events leading up to it would certainly put a damper on the Konatsian’s likelihood of being interested in teaching her much of anything, there was also the fact that she had no way of knowing if Typha even had the understanding of HOW to teach such a technique. But she’d be a liar if she said she WAS NOT interested in it, even with the mentioned downsides it fit with her general style pretty perfectly, the ruby allowed her to sacrifice her durability in a fight for more raw power, this ‘Kaioken’ seemed to operate under similar if a bit more hefty principles, but who cared if a technique left you bloodied and exhausted if it ALSO outright won the fight? Kayen growled as Fateburn cleaved through Typha easily, someone else might have assumed victory but Kayen knew better, Typha was presently FAR too strong to be so easily beaten even by a direct hit, and as well the strike lacked the ‘impact’ a brutal cleaving would have immediately had, leading Kayen to swing Fateburn around in a defensive manner as Typha called out the start of that damned technique again. Kayen braced herself against Fateburn expecting a powerful attack only to be met by a barrage of far less impressive blows, blows that Fateburn was able to mitigate easily enough “Tricky” Kayen commented as she pulled back before his last strike wheeling Fateburn around to try to bring it down on Typha’s shoulder once again, thankfully for Typha the swing had far less power behind it than her last attack.

Typha smirked as Kayen seemed curious to learn the techquine. "Well, I can't say that I can teach you. Even If I could I would not. I don't think King Kai would be happy for me to teach his secret techquine." Plus while Kayen was a friend of his it was not as if she was some pure soul. He could see her using it for the pursuit of power. Typha would not want to worry about that. Typha had been able to dodge Kayen's attack but Kayen was able to block each of his attacks. Guess she was not scared off by his threat of using the Kaioken. Typha looked up as Kayen swung down with her blade Typha knew he needed to counter that blow. Typha rose his blade taking a knee postion as the blow crashed down. His blade slammed down on his shoulder cutting it open. He could feel the strength Kayen was generating from her blow. Typha had to admit that it was a shame that despite all his training there was still such a gap between their power. Guess he could not expect to have caught up to Kayen. He really was going to need the Kaioken to win this. Typha would attempt to sweep Kayen off her feet before flipping away from Kayen to regain his balance.

“That’s no fun” Kayen shot back with a smirk as Typha claimed he would be unwilling to teach the secret technique out of respect for his teacher, the only thing keeping her from debating on pressing the idea was that Typha’s words also seemed to imply that he might also simply not be capable of teaching her it making her all the more interested in how exactly the technique functioned. The bost he had gotten had felt relatively small from the brief window of time that Kayen could sense it but even a small boost like that could be a game changer, evident by the fact it had caught her off guard, she could just imagine all the applications for such an ability considering it felt roughly comparable to the boost in strength the Ruby offered her. And that was without even thinking of the potential it had if it could do MORE than just a small boost, that it gave power in exchange for causing harm to your body might mean that if you were willing to take MORE pain it could offer more power which certainly fit with Typha’s hesitance on the concept of teaching it to her, in the state he had displayed it it was a useful technique but not one that felt really ‘worthy’ of being a secret technique taught only to the dead. Kayen’s thoughts were interrupted as Fateburn clashed with Typha’s blade and drove it into Typha’s shoulder causing a burst of blood from the wound and earning another smirk from the Queen, Typha’s attempt at a defense had been good but not good enough, even with the fresh wound Typha was ready to keep going as he took a swipe at her trying to sweep her legs out from under her however the kick cracked against her shin and while it sent a burst of pain up her leg and elicited a grit of the teeth from the Queen she managed to keep her footing, the distraction of the pain however still provided Typha with the window he needed to pull back from her. “Any chance they teach something like that down in hell?” Kayen inquired casually as she rolled her shoulders and resumed a fighting stance while Typha took a moment to recover, while she had not stated WHY she was asking the implication seemed clear enough to her, she possessed no illusions that she was a ‘good person’ and knowing that there WAS an afterlife and that it had the perceived division of ‘good people’ from ‘bad people’ she had a pretty strong hunch on where she would end up when her life eventually came to an end.

"Sorry I ain't that fun of a person," Typha called back after Kayen noted he was no fun and being unwilling to teach her the Kaioken. Typha recovered himself taking in a few more deep breaths. The pain from the Kaioken had faded for now which was good. He didn't need pain dulling his reflexes. Not that pain was bad in a fight but pain like that Kaioken gave him was not the type of pain you wanted in a fight. Not a pain that snapped your senses to life but a pain that dulled them and dragged to the earth. Every time he used the Kaioken he dragged himself closer to an early grave. Typha looked up when Kayen asked if a techquine like his own was taught in hell. Typha paused in thought thinking for a moment. "Well if you were that evil would it matter? IF you were that type of person I'd got to hell myself to kill you down there." Typha joked through an air of seriousness was in his voice.
Typha then rubbed his forehead. "But I mean they're the old stories. I bet if you look into those old stories their some person that died and went to hell and came back with some power of otherworldly strength. I can't say if their an exact techquine like the Kaioken but someone down their prob teach those of evil." Typha shook his head and raised his sword. Typha knew it was not time for him to focus on what if. Kayen was being quite casually and it gave him time to recover. Typha had used that time to regain strength but now he must be on the attack. Typha rushed forward sending out a barrage of slashes once more aiming to clash with her blade. He was quite sure she'd defend for the time being and then counter-attack. Typha was not too worried about her dodging so he made an aggressive advance.

“You’d try” Kayen responded to Typha’s ‘threat’ with a smirk, she could sense the hint of seriousness in his voice and it earned the Konatsian a touch more respect from the Queen even if the statement DID suggest that Typha seemed to have a different sort of perspective on the kind of person she was compared to the presumably more realistic view Kayen had of herself. His little tangent DID remind Kayen that the stories of the last war HAD suggested that Xylo had grown as powerful as he was thanks to his time in Hell, meaning perhaps either he had simply had the time to seriously train down there OR that he had received training like Typha had but simply from a darker force. What exactly he had been capable of and what of that was his own techniques versus what might have been taught by hell weren’t exactly well known. Habana never got a chance to REALLY fight the Mazoku Lord, their first real opportunity was also the end of the war, the peaceful end. Kayen grinned as Typha approached and the two clashed blades first as Typha sent a flurry of strikes at her that Kayen fended off with a combination of using the flat of Fateburn and actively parrying the strikes and then finally he brought a stronger strike to bare causing the pair to perform a more prolonged clash. “So the training you received what was it li-” Kayen cut herself off right before she finished asking the question as she pumped her power through Fateburn and attempted to let the surge of energy crash down on Typha’s blade and into Typha himself!

"Guess I would I can't really act like I can defeat you until I prove it." Plus from the power he sensed Kayen was clearly a great deal stronger than him still. Each of his blows was all blocked which was expected. If just pure speed would catch Kayen off guard she'd not be much of a swordsman. Eventually, both their blades locked Typha feeling the power Kayen could generate even in a parry. Kayen then went to ask a question but before she finished she fired off a powerful slash down at him. Typha had not expected that but to not get hit and get his one good chance at a counter-attack he had to use it again. "Kaioken!" A Red aura flashed around him as he barely avoided the slash stepping to the side with pure speed. Then his foot-launched down slamming on Fate burner with his foot cutting his foot open because he put his weight on it. Because a sword pushed to the ground like that would leave Kayen open. Plus the pain from his foot let him ignore some of the pain of the Kaioken he could focus it in a different area. "That was a good try but not good enough." Ki surrounded the hilt of his blade as he swung to hit Kayen right in the jaw and send her flying.

There it was again, the ‘Kaioken’ and Typha revealed even more of how his training had developed his repitor of skills, firstly that the Kaioken was more than just a way to attack, now that Kayen had a slightly more time to witness it in action she could see what it was REALLY capable of, it boosted his power entirely unlike her Ruby which just increased damaging power. Case in point it pushed his power just high enough to let him skirt his way around her Demon Fang, and even more curiously whatever he had done felt familiar, it appeared to cause no notable drain on his power and yet allowed him to avoid her attack entirely, she had seen that before, something Vocado was capable of, it was nothing short of an immense frustration during their last fight. But even after that the power persisted lingered long enough to let Typha launch his counter attack. Kayen smirked at Typha’s assertion that her attack was ‘not good enough’ it might not have HIT but it DID have an impact on Typha, it forced him to use the Kaioken AND the low power dodge technique, the Kaioken she already knew caused him harm itself while the dodge technique… she at least assumed it was not something he could use constantly, Vocado had hit a limit so presumably and HOPEFULLY Typha would have a limit as well. “Alright then lets try it AGAIN!” Kayen said with a laugh winding up with Fateburn and rushing to meet Typha her blade once again burning with golden energy as she took a swing his blades hilt to counter his attack and attempt to turn it back on him.

Typha went in to attack but Kayen was ready. She managed to block the blow with her own sword and then cut him across the shoulder with her blade. Typha slid back in pain blood dripping off his shoulder and chest. That hurt but it also felt good to be cut. "It has been a while since a sword cut into my skin. Must have been years." Not many on Konats could match his swordplay by the time he was in his teens. The machines on Konats didn't use blades and not many people outside Konats seemed to use blades. "Wait no you slashed me on Namek. Guess you're the first person to cut me in a while, either way, it feels nice to be wounded again." Typha also could focus his pain on the sword slash rather than the Kaioken. Typha had to smile this was getting his blood pumping. He needed this, just to get rid of his stress. Typha wiped the blood away it splashing upon the ground. "Sorry for getting your ring dirty." Typha put his blade in front of him. Typha charged forward sending a barrage of slashes at Kayen a grin of happiness forming on Typha's face with each blow.
