Digging up the Hatchet Bass's PL: 97'000
Back home, to the place where all things had began and where all things were certain to end. Here in the Mazoku Gravesite, a quiet and rather gloomy location said to carry a most intriguing mystical property to it. With the many men that had been buried here Bass couldn't help but feel a most particular aura wash over his body whenever he returned back to this location. Though Bass did claim the burial ground as his residence of choice there never ceased to be a moment where he felt as if something wasn't quite right. The young Namekian wasn't that spiritual of a person however despite his limited senses in that field there was no denying the very otherworldly presence in the air. Having been gone for so long it came as no surprise to him that he wasn't used to the atmosphere anymore. Despite such an understanding of the circumstances something still didn't feel right and he knew not what to blame for it. The faces of the Namekian he once knew didn't seem to look at him the same nowadays nor did he to they. Whether a matter of power or ideology differences seem to be brewing within the sect of Namekian living in or near the Gravesite, he included. Tensions were building due to the ever troubling topic of the Dragon Ball hunt and he couldn't afford to play himself the fool and ignore what was going on. While he did lack the power to tackle the situation there was no denying the very state of things as they were and he was sick of it. At times like these he struggled to find where to turn to, knowing not who to rely upon or call comrade. For those who he had originally put his trust into they had managed to prove themselves anything but worth such a belief. In the past Namek had once been a vehicle of massive warfare and unfortunately in rapid fashion it was becoming nothing more than a shadow of its own image. The word Namek and power were as far removed as they could've ever been and due to the current affairs it only helped to exacerbate things. Bearing no true force to defend its own territory as it stood as a army of questionable strength. Much too incapable of standing a chance at fending off even a sliver of the foes they may have to face in the future. Certain galactic bodies were only getting stronger and was it right to just have faith that they'd abstain from hurting others? As much as Bass might've wanted to, he knew full and well that such a view just wasn't realistic to have in a world like the one he lived in. The idea of having trust and faith in others was but a fleeting way of life quickly cast aside when one finally had to pursue his true beliefs. Met with little answers on the various questions plaguing his mind Bass returned to a hobby he did when he sought to find resolution. Finding himself in the midst of a quiet patch of grass near his father's grave. Brain running wild as he tried to think of a means of tackling the many problems that Namek was facing currently. <Oh what a problematic time Namek's found itself in. An under-performing military, lacking in power with the added disadvantage of such a limited amount of soldiers too. Then we must consider the problem of the Dragon Balls, for how useful they are they seem to be only causing problems for Namek as it stands. Without the strength to protect our sacred artifacts what's the point in having them around? They're only a target on our back and it seems that they'll only serve to cause more strife for the people of this planet. We were better off with the asteroids than without them, no good's come of this ongoing interaction with the foreigners. A Namekian's ought to not be afraid of living in their own home, just where do we go from here exactly? Peace won't find this place unless specific things change.> A cool breeze would brush against Bass's face while he looked at the sky above him. "Oh father tell me, am I to inherit your failings? I need to know if its worth the trouble." TAGS: Additional Note:

Mollusc had returned to Namek as of now it felt more like home then everywhere else. After dying Earth had begun to feel more distance. Maybe his place was on Namek helping the people. He knew Namek had far less protection than Earth. Mollusc for the time being though was just flying around. He had met a fellow that was a ghost-like him and now he was seeking more answers. He had tried to go the Mazoku Graves before but he had found little. He was hoping with the time that had passed maybe he could find something new in the graveyard. AS Mollusc was flying however he felt a strong power at the graves. Mollusc stopped for a moment feeling it out more. It must have been one of Namek's strongest warriors. He was glad there were some warriors ready to fight for Namek. Mollusc flew over and landed at the graves looking at Bass. He could hear he was saying something but Mollusc didn't interrupt. He assumed he was honoring the dead that he once knew. Once he heard him finish for the time being Mollusc walked over and waved. "Honoring the dead is a good thing. I assume your one of the top warriors of Namek?"

Digging up the Hatchet Bass's PL: 97'000
Quiet, for as rare as it tended to be on Namek during times like these it could often be found in the Gravesites when all other alternatives weren't available. Like a crashing rock in a still pond, Bass's period of silence would get disturbed in a rather immediate way with the arrival of a new face in his vicinity. This wasn't your average traveler from the likes of it, the young Namekian's skill with ki sensing told him this much at least. Such a notable power-level just wasn't able to be tuned out no matter how he tried to. For miles on end there had been no power comparable him and by some struck of luck there was some individual who could manage to compare and even surpass that of his own. While he hadn't interacted with many people of noteworthy caliber on Namek before there was no mistaking it, such a ki signature was one he hadn't ever sensed. Such a specific bit of information drove him to self-reflection while he considered the nature of the individual he was likely going to be dealing with. While he didn't necessarily have enemies per say he was still mindful of the fact that there were still foes out there. He wasn't beloved among many nor did he hold much compassion for others, conflict usually found him whether it be of the physical or mental variety. <It can't be Steno or Oboe, for that matter it probably isn't a Namekian either I'd have probably met them already if they were this strong. There's not many places one can hide on this planet if they were looking to keep a low-profile and this is by far not one of them. I wonder, are they Saiyan or some other manner of alien? Then again, why would they even come here of all places anyways? This isn't a location for one of such a foreign background anyways, there are things worth exploiting and this is by far at the bottom of the list. I suppose I've nothing to lose anyways, when one's got nothing on the line you don't fear losing everything. I guess it doesn't matter at this point.> Bass's eyes would scan the skies, searching for the source of the power-level. Curious as to find out just what kind of individual could possess such a remarkable might. While fearful he was eager to some degree. To his surprise it'd be a sight he wasn't ready to see, a figure of rather particular shape and stature. While completely visible he didn't seem to be solid, bearing some measure of translucency that caught him off guard. The appearance was very much Namekian but there was something beneath the surface that he couldn't quite put his finger on. While he did frequent the Mazoku Graves often there was never a ghost he encountered that bore such unique characteristics and a notable level of strength to boot. He'd have no choice but to press on and inquire. Bass's head swiftly swung up, staring at the phantom with a look of raw fascination. Wondering just what he happened to be looking at given the suddenness of the individual's arrival. He'd slowly nod back to the man, his gaze would never avert the figure's general direction despite the lowering of his skull. To let up his defenses now might prove to be a mistake given the rather ambiguous nature of the man he happened to be looking at. Just who was this figure and what did he have planned exactly? Fighting the man would offer no such answer at least know yet. Provided no other means of investigating the situation he'd have to entertain the power of conversation. Halting his meditation to properly engage with the man on an even plane of dialogue, standing himself upright while he looked at him head on. The young Namekian rose an eyebrow at one of the stranger's remarks, finding a certain irony in it. "Honoring the dead? I guess you could say that, its somewhat hard to explain. My father had passed down all of his being into me so in a sense I guess I'm honoring myself." Bass would laugh as the second remark truly had him almost enter a fit of humor, he'd shake his head dismissing the statement. "One of Namek's top warriors? I'll have you know that such a title isn't really all that impressive. I'm one of Namek's only warriors. It wasn't that hard a climb." TAGS: Mollusc Additional Note:

Mollusc looked towards the man as he stood up Mollusc standing calm and waited a few moments. Then he heard him speak about how his father had passed down all of his being to him. He assumed that was either a fusion or him one of the Mazoku. It sounded like one of the later as to his knowledge usually the dragon caste only gave birth to Namekian children and even then most of the time the Guru was the one who did such a task. Mollusc didn't response though whatever it was it was not his business to know. He just bowed his head in honor. "Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes we need to recognize when we do something good whether it is us or someone before us." Mollusc said before smirking at Bass comment how there was really not many Namekian warriors. "I suppose that is quite true. That not what matter it is that you are quite strong. In a few weeks, you could easily be stronger than me. I bet you are on your way to being a Super Namekian." Mollusc rubbed his face. Guess that was his name for the form so no one else would be calling it that. "It is an ascended level of the Great Namek." he quickly said to try to dissuade confusion he might have just generated.

Digging up the Hatchet Bass's PL: 97'000
What was fulfillment really? Was acquiring such a thing as simple as eating some food and nourishing the self out of desire for hunger's sake? To do something and to immediately feel satisfied in life was a thought that Bass began to see much fault in. Having at one point in time found himself able to be satisfied so easily. In his more recent days however, a new way of thinking started to invade his mind. Bearing a viewpoint fairly different than the one he just had before, letting go of the various things that troubled him as he began to feel some kind of detachment. Slowly but surely losing a grip on the very things that gave him meaning once upon a time. Those moments where he did still maintain a steady hold on things were quickly getting scarce and the young Namekian made no aims to chase after such sentiments again. Bass would sigh aloud, looking at Mollusc with an expression of regret in his eyes. "I guess so stranger. I've been looking at this all wrong for quite some time now and its high time I change my way of thinking. I've lived a short life but I believe it must remain so, not all people are meant for this world."
He'd proceed to then laugh at the ghost's remarks, finding significant humor in what was said although with a rather morbid twist to it. " You bring me some mild amount of comedic relief here, I don't believe I'll surpass you. Not in this lifetime at least, I believe I'm better off stopping while I'm ahead and casting aside such foolish goals." Bass glanced off into the distance, shaking his head while grinning half-heartedly. His tone became increasingly somber as he'd start to speak. "Unfortunate that I'll never reach such a form, I believe I must do as my predecessors and return to my father's place of rest. Upon this very ground we stand upon is where I must find residence, I've seen enough of this place already. The ways of the old must go with this spirit of change present. I'm afraid I'm just one of the leftover remnants." TAGS: Mollusc Additional Note:

Mollusc looked at Bass seeing the regret in his eyes. He doubts the Namekian had much to regret right now. He had learned in Death you'll truly know what was worth regretting. Still, it was not his place to really tell Bass that. He'd just have to live his life and decide what he should feel bad for and then what he should let go. When Bass said he'd not surpass him Mollusc smiled. "Well, I think you will. I am not doing much training anymore. My ghostly body is unable to handle training as well. I cannot grow as fast." He had barely grown stronger since returning he knew too well this body had hit a wall in terms of strength. Sure he could get stronger but he doubts he could keep up with the Super Saiyans of the world no matter how hard he trained. Yet in death he was ok with that, instead of trying to focus on learning rather than fighting. "Still you are incomplete in your confidence. What makes you believe you cannot reach a new level of power. Was it someone said or maybe seeing how strong some of the warriors not from Namek are?" Mollusc asks crossing his arms over his ghastly chest.

Digging up the Hatchet Bass's PL: 97'000
Like waters in a stream or sand in the hourglass, things seemed to always be leading downwards. There was only so far one could try and delay things before it became impossible to do. To run away from what was and what appeared to be inevitable felt like a game Bass couldn't bother to play anymore. Grave at his backside and an actual ghost facing him head on, the air of death grew very pungent and so he too would breathe in this atmosphere. He'd close his eyes while he'd take a moment to catch his breath, exhaling a great amount of air before speaking once more. Laughing yet again at another thing brought up by the deceased Namekian. A hand would be raised and waved in a manner that suggested dissent. While what was said did bring about some joy to him there was still a remarkable wave of emotion that came at him without end. While he knew where they wer e coming from actually facing them would be an activity Bass soon would be forced to remedy given the way things had been going in his life up until now. "Keep thinking that stranger, if it gives you hope so be it. This planet needs such a thing after so long I imagine, I won't be the individual to surpass you however. I've made my mind up and I don't think I'll be changing it. You'll have all the time in the world with that kind of a body." Bass cast an approving glance upon Mollusc, nodding his head ever so slightly as he couldn't help but agree with what was being said. While a part of him enjoying to the statement said, his lack of confidence definitely was a valid thing to pick up on. The effort to get strong and rival the powers that be seemed to inevitably become unrealistic. Such a feat was not one he could ever hope to do nor get closed to despite how far he had gotten, such a spirit of hope within him had been dwindling and it unfortunately it led to one point. "Incomplete, yes. The answer to that question is much too complicated to answer in one discussion. My own opinions have also been a considerable factor in all of this. I must say however, whether it be the Fleet, the Kingdom or some other organization; so long as the Dragon Balls remain and there is greed in the heart of every living being who comes to this place. I know not a day when there'll be enough strength to keep Namek truly safe. I have grown tired of repeating this lie to myself, I shan't become any stronger for there isn't much reason to be. What can one man hope to accomplish in this existence without the support of many? I had tried to believe that the Concordia and Namek's sense of change could bring about meaningful progress for this planet but I now see that I was naive to have thought that."
With a limb raised firmly in the sky Bass started to condense a reasonable amount of ki into an open palm, tightening his hand firmly into a tight blade-like shape, flat yet sturdy. Ramming it into his abdomen with great speed as it cut through his bodily matter like fine clay, drips of red began to gather at his feet as the young Namekian was forced to sit himself down. Propping himself against his father's grave with a wound so wide it'd be impossible not to see. He'd tear his hand out of his body as more crimson began to cascade out of his body like an open faucet, arms on either side of his body while he'd chuckle with a grisly quality to his face. "This is why I won't reach that level of power. It is my time of waning, I've staved it off for too long now but I must accept it. The ways of the old are being teared down and perhaps its necessary that I too. I've no spirit to fight the nature of my circumstances any longer. One cannot run away from the natural order of things. Our kind should've gave up a long time ago. What good is it tilling a land of which you know no fruit shall group from? I'm tired of fighting for this idea I can no longer recognize." A look of fragility began to gather on Bass's visage as he grinned. "It seems that my time draws near fellow Namekian, have you more hope than I?" TAGS: Mollusc Additional Note:

Mollusc grunted as bass seemed quite stubborn in thoughts that he couldn't become stronger then he was. Was this man unable to feel his power and understand where he was coming from? "You need to have confidence you can be very strong." Mollusc slammed his fist on his own chest. "This body I have is not a fighting body. My growth is slowed. I won't get any stronger than this. I've fought my fight and I died. The only time I'll take up arms to fight again is to defend Namek." Mollusc said with confidence as he stared at Bass. He doubted a response since Bass seemed to be too much of a negative namekian to really get excited over what he was trying to get at. He even seemed to think that as long as the dragonballs existed people would keep coming and they would not be able to stop them. While that was true now in his mind the only reason that was true was that the people of namek did little to try to increase their strength. He had trained to fight against the top warriors but now he had died he had to convince others to take up the fight.
Mollusc rested a hand on his chin as Bass went on about how there was no point in getting stronger. Then their that he was naive to think the people of Namek could change anything. How everything was so negative and he had no spirit to try to fight the world around him. He'd just sit down and accept that he couldn't change anything. Mollusc really was not liking this guy. He reminded him of himself when he was in the down but how did he get out of that. Mollusc rubbed his chin and then snapped his fingers. "I see," Mollusc said not talking to Bass more to himself. "I don't have hope. Hope means you putting faith in something else. I refuse to do that anymore." He once put his hopes on Porunga and that lead him nowhere. He put hope on the Kingdom and now they were his sworn foe. "I know what all the Namekian people can be and I refuse to let those who lose conviction to move forward sit around." Mollusc aura exploded around him. His form took on a mix of Namekian and Draconian features. He then charged and sent a powerful kick at the neck of Bass. "If you want to sit down and do nothing I can help you with that by putting you in the ground."

Digging up the Hatchet Bass's PL: 97'000
Calm, as if still without any disturbance nor turmoil. Things began to get very quiet for the young Namekian as his sense of consciousness became an increasingly fleeting ubiety. Bass's strength or what was left of it started to drain away with the gradual lose of vital components from his body, the puddle surrounding him started to form a pool of harsh crimson. His innate regenerative abilities staving off the effects of the wound he had self-inflicted to a certain degree. While he lacked the will to continue it seemed that his body wouldn't have any part in the matter as even physically there appeared to be some disturbance taking place within. The aspect of the past, living and powerful with hope for what could've been raging ever more against the other half that comprised the young Namekian. The aspect of the future, rapidly becoming the present moment by moment, weak and lacking animation. Inception and finality, body and mind, a warped kind of dichotomy from which the lines got ever more blurred with time. With an ever feeble voice and rather sunken demeanor Bass would speak aloud to the ghost. Glance ever so serious as his eyes opened wide as to stare directly at Mollusc. "Confidence, yes. Its come to my attention that I've been lacking such a thing I know not how I'd even manage to restore or fulfill that kind of a thing. I don't doubt the fact that I can get strong however I do believe it may be a vain effort. The foes that be, they are innumerable and they are constantly lurking. You speak of taking arms for Namek, perhaps it is a noble effort however I wouldn't blame you for not participating in the cause. It is hard to keep going when nothing around you seems to give you reason to, this isn't the cause I'm looking to fight for. Not anymore at least. Why live at the cost of being one's true self, better one die than know such an existence I say." The stern expression on his face began to soften while he listened in ever carefully on what the man had to say. Given the specific predicament he found himself in there was only so much Bass was comfortable talking about before he grew ever more languished. The time for self-reflection had come and here he'd compose his final thoughts, there was much to be thought over and so with this ever waning vitality he'd need to make such considerations meaningful and quick. To find composure in such a moment of instability proved to be a rather difficult task however to his surprise Bass managed to acquire solace in time more rapid than he had imagined. "Refuse you say? Good, have at it and fashion some fine reckoning that Namek has lacked for so long. You've steeled yourself a fine will... I don't have such a flame anymore. Go ahead, I think it best I be put to rest. To find resolution through the hand of another Namekian naturally would be the best way of doing things. Maybe its best this way." The young Namekian's body began to shrink in size, his power-level naturally followed. Body deflating in some sense as his physical stature began to look all the more unimpressive. The need for being transformed at a time like this just wasn't present. To face his fate was all he desired to do at this point, running away from such a thing ceased to be pressing when he was actively watching just what spelled his demise. Swift did death come towards him and it was rapidly approaching with powerful ferocity. <That's a kick alright and its coming straight for me, had I still been in my stronger state this wouldn't pose a problem though I guess that doesn't matter right now anyways. I've been looking for this exit for a while now and I've been granted a means of getting there, who am I to turn such a thing away? I've merely been putting off the inevitable.> Before Bass could've foreseen it striking so suddenly, the kick would land dead on with his collar. Piercing through it like a fine blade through butter, little halting the attack's momentum as bone and bodily pulp lay completely shredded into fine ribbons. Both head and body connected through mere strings of sinew as a cascading residue began to build at the wound's entry. With eyes gaping ever so intently at Mollusc, the Namekian slowly began to surface words. "Ah... now there's a character I've come to miss on this planet.. You've, got heart... Namekian." Akin to an instrument's final note, the very strings keeping his body together relaxed as every bit of his will would come to resolution. Bass's head would lean in itself as the pose of meditation lose any semblance of structure, arms flayed about in random manner while his skull leaned in on his own body in silence. Quiet soon followed as there appeared to be no more motion upon the Namekian's body at the moment. Silence and cold filled Bass's bosom, the soul had at last lost its chamber.
