Things had been relatively quiet lately. Not to say the situation they were in wasn't tense, but things felt quite...Peaceful, given everything. The Cyborg had spent most of his time simply preparing for the worst, pushing himself physically in the event that Korla, Iyokan and him were forced to fight again. As quiet and serene as this planet was, they still found themselves on potentially hostile territory. Their recent encounters with Saiyans proved all too well just how much those simian bastards enjoyed taking their vacations here. Duran grumpily sat at the edge of a lake, situated on the stump of an Ajissa tree he had freshly cut down. He held a stone in his one hand, and continuously ran it along the edge of his blade to sharpen it. The constant grinding of stone on metal worked strangely soothing for the Android, as he simply allowed thoughts to swim through his head whilst he sat there, away from all the stress. '-I wonder if it will ever be enough?' Duran thought to himself. 'While Iyokan is strong, she's still no match for the threats we keep finding. Korla and I are far behind her, too...At this rate we'll never catch up to the Saiyans.' The Cyborg sighed outwardly, pausing a moment before he continued sharpening his weaponized arm.
'-...Best bet is to infect some more. Hell, be it Namekian- anything. This just isn't enough...'
After running the jagged stone across his blade one last time, Duran slowly stood up from the Ajissa stump. He tossed the stone into the lake and turned to face a small yet compact group of Ajissa trees. The Cyborg gazed at his newly sharpened gunblade, then back to the trees. Exhaling slowly, the Destron menace lowered his stance, like a predator about to pounce onto it's prey.
A large gust suddenly blew across the vicinity as Duran completely disappeared from sight. A torrent of rushing winds accompanied a vague purple blur that darted all across. In the span of a single second, Duran stood back in his original place, glaring intensely at the bundle of Ajissa trees.
Seconds later, dozens of cuts began to show themselves on the trees. They all fell down with the loudest of noise, creating a giant ruckus that could be heard for miles across. Ajissa wood fell all around the Android as he simply stood there, panting shallowly to himself.
Duran knew he was improving.
Growing stronger, faster, more ruthless.
He couldn't stop now; he was hungry for more.

Belle’s PL: 32,000 Aura Block: Set to 100
Belle had wandered away from Tarch. His big friend didn’t like her. She could tell. So giving the two of them time to talk without her around would probably be good. Honestly, part of her was just retracing steps of happier times. It had been around here where her uncle and her had stayed during the Saiyan Kingdom’s earlier conquest for the Dragon Balls. She had done it without really thinking. Belle frowned. It was making her remember and feel things that she didn’t want to feel. She had to keep moving. Get away from all the ghosts and memories of things that she couldn’t have. Popping the Saibanut Daisy on top of her head, Belle continued her wandering. It was only when she reached a grove of trees did she stop. She heard something. But… she didn’t see it? Most living things gave off an aura that she could see and feel. This was weird. Maybe it was the wind? Probably. That notion was swiftly dispelled as a strange metal man appeared as the trees fell to pieces around her. Oh. He was training. It was weird that she couldn’t sense him, but she recognized training when she saw it. He didn’t look to be Saiyan either, so that gave her some reassurance. Belle clapped for the weird man, applauding his efforts but also to make herself known. She didn’t want to be accidentally chopped up, weak as she was right now. Belle still looked haggard. Her clothes slightly worn and torn from travel and strife. Her eyes were sunken and hollow. Her tail was ungroomed and unkempt. It was sort of jarring with the hideously cute Daisy nibbling at her hair on top of her head. “Good job, mister. You’re really strong. You’re training, right?”

Heavy breaths came from Duran as he stood firm in a low battle-ready stance. The Cyborg sucked in a large breath, slowly exhaling as he relaxed and stood upright. His lost confidence was slowly returning to him, after having been shattered at the hands of Vocado, Ashis and Carro. Come to think of it, there were a lot of strange and foreboding figures that traveled the plains of Namek. Demons, the former King of Saiyans- even the president of Earth...Who was also Saiyan.
Duran groaned to himself, gripping the top of his head tightly for a light moment. No matter how hard he tried, it seemed as if he could never shake thoughts of Saiyans off of his mind. They served as an excellent drive for him, but sometimes...He'd wish he could simply sit down and relax.
Suddenly, Duran heard the grass ruffle not far from him, quickly accompanied by simple applause. The unexpected noise caused Duran's eyes to snap toward the source, pupils dilated like a frightened animal caught in a car's headlights. ''Who's there?'' He gruffly asked, quickly spotting a small figure in the midst of the wreckage.
Immediately, Duran's eyes narrowed. A small, worn-looking child. Her armor was stained and tattered, her face pale, and her hair a disheveled mess. ''Training?'' Duran repeated, shocked at what he saw. ''Y-yes...'' His voice began to trail off, eyes traveling downward.
A Saiyan tail.
Duran's core stopped pumping entirely for a moment, only for the Android to quickly try and come to his senses. While he was being directly confronted with the traumas he held, she was a child. 'A child, just a child...Breathe, Duran. Breathe.' He thought, momentarily closing his eyes.
''Sorry, I didn't think someone would be around. You somewhat...Scared me.'' Duran spoke awkwardly, before clearing his throat. He had never been the best at chatting, let alone with children. What were children even like? He honestly hadn't the slightest clue. What Duran was certain about though, was his strange, conflicted concern for the child. She was a Saiyan, and that alone made something deep within Duran want to tear her in half. But...A child. Defenseless, frail...Alone.
The Cyborg did his best to relax his posture, as to not disturb her. Duran had quite the menacing appearance, after all.
''Are you lost, by any chance? You're all alone here.'' Duran voiced his concern, his eyes traveling toward the strange Saiba-creature on her head. They had evolved much in the past 2000 years, it seemed. ''Well, maybe not entirely alone. Is the little one your friend?'' He asked, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. Whoever this Saiyan child was, she seemed like she had gone through rough times. Had the girl been a decade older, this meeting would have gone a lot differently. As vicious and violent Duran was at times, he couldn't bring himself to harm a child.
Cautiously, Duran tried to approach the girl, kneeling down to her eye-level, a few feet removed. ''You're not traveling by yourself, are you?'' He asked carefully, yet still a tad distant. There were no words to describe just how conflicted Duran felt at this moment.

If Belle could see Duran’s aura, she would have seen the shift it took into fear when he saw her tail. As it was, she could only tell that her being a Saiyan meant something to him. Tilting her head to the side in mild confusion, she watched quietly as the strange man took a moment to compose himself. Then it became clear. She had scared him. Belle’s expression darkened. Right. Because she was a Saiyan too. Like them. The ones who had taken everything from her. She didn’t blame him. She shied away from most Saiyans now too. They were scary. Very scary.
“I see. I understand.”
Belle curled her tail under her coat to hide it from view. Maybe this would make him feel better? What good was her tail, anyway? It only made her transform into an oozaru and go on a rampage. Maybe that was what Saiyans were at heart. Monsters who only knew how to take and kill and destroy. It had certainly been her experience with the Vegetan ones. She shook her head when he asked her if she was lost.
“No. I’ve been here before.”
Her eyes fell to the ground when he mentioned that she was alone. Yes, she knew that. She was trying to fix that. If only Tarch’s spade pod hadn’t broken. They could have been already on Earth by now. He was being pretty stubborn about getting his pod fixed before leaving too. She didn’t get it. Belle perked up slightly and nodded when the man referred to Daisy. She reached up and plucked the Saibanut off her head, holding Daisy in her arms instead.
“This is Daisy. She’s the only family I have left now. Well… maybe Tarch… but I dunno…”
When he asked if she were traveling alone, belle just nodded. Mister Prince Riis had taken her here, but that was where their paths diverged. She supposed she might be with Tarch for a little bit though. She hadn’t decided yet. Well, either way, she was traveling alone for now. She didn’t shrink away when he approached. She didn’t even worry about it for a moment. She was mildly curious about one thing.
“Mister, did Saiyans hurt you?”
Maybe that was too forward. She should say something to smooth things over.
“They hurt me too.”

There was a strange, entirely unfamiliar feeling that dwelled within Duran's chest at this moment. He couldn't bring himself to feel hatred toward the child infront of him, despite her heritage. Yet at the same time, her biology did cause Duran to feel somewhat shaky even talking to her. What was even happening to him? He was speaking to a Saiyan. Asking her questions out of concern. Concern. For a Saiyan.
Duran was quickly pulled from his internal struggle as he noticed the Saiyan child grow disappointed. While it was admittedly true that Duran felt a twinge of shock at being confronted with a Saiyan, there was no genuine fear. She was a mere child, after all. The hollowness in her voice caused Duran's concern to grow.
''Do not take it personal, child. Anyone's presence would have shocked me, even my friends.'' Duran attempted to reassure her. If his mouth was visible, his admittedly forced smile would be visible. ''I thought I was alone, but I wasn't. That is all, really.'' The Cyborg nodded.
What was something to note is that she admitted to having visited this place before. Perhaps she mentioned this specific part of Namek, but Duran couldn't help but think that she meant having traveled to this planet once before. It was impossible for a child her age to pilot a ship, so that must mean someone dropped her off here, at the very least. Her parents, perhaps? Duran had to be careful not to reveal too much about himself. He needed more information.
She went on to show Duran her little Saiba-pet. Daisy, was her name. ''We had these creatures on our planet, back in the day. Saiba-beasts, correct? I hope she's keeping you good company.'' Duran calmly talked to her as he reached out to the Saibanut with a metal finger, not particularly afraid to get bitten. There was a very brief silence before Duran looked her in the eye, remorse crossing his features.
''I'm sorry to hear of your family. I know all too well what that is like...'' Duran's voice started to trail off. The memories were still fresh, despite being so old.
And that is when she revealed something truly fascinating. Terrifying, yet fascinating.
Somehow, the Saiyan child could tell that Duran's pain was caused by the terrible lust for war the Saiya-jin held. His organic eye widened in shock as he grew silent. His entire body froze up. Slowly though, Duran managed to collect himself, his mind still a haze.
''How...How could you tell?'' Duran spoke in a shocked hush, still struggling to believe what was even happening. The most insane thing of all? The Saiyans were also responsible for her pain. They were the reason she appeared so distraught and worn. One of their own.
The Cyborg cleared his throat briefly, before shuffling a bit closer to the Saiyan child. ''You...They hurt you as well?'' He repeated, ''-My apologies, this is all...Very unexpected.'' Duran finished, growing silent as he took the time to take in some controlled breaths.
''...They have indeed hurt me greatly, along with my people. We have a long history with the Saiyans...One that ended in nothing but death.'' Duran's voice grew hollow and bitter as he spoke, sighing deeply.
''It is...A very long story. Can I ask what they've done to you? I think we could...help you.'' The words came without protest, yet they shocked Duran greatly. Here he was, offering aid to a Saiyan, the people that slaughtered his kin in cold blood. And yet, he could not stop himself.
''My name is Duran. Can I know yours?''

Quatum Prime's PL: 12,000 & Quatum Copy's PL: 12,000
Quatum placed his left hand on the moss-covered wall of his cavern refuge. His abnormally colored tail spasmed and twitched uncontrollably in the air behind him. The skin on the right half of his body began to squirm and rise in an unnatural manner. As it did a rumble echoed out from Quatum's stomach. A pained expression found itself plastered on the parasite's face. Thick beads of sweat dripped from his forehead and onto the cavern floor.
He grabbed at his face with his monstrous hand, "So hungry..." he muttered through gritted teeth. The hunger gnawed away at him, threatening to consume him from the inside out. A fate that he'd fear to be worse than death.
"And whose fault is that?" Tercres asked smuggly.
The Tuffle let out a low growl, "Shut up." he replied back coldly. Quatum didn't want to admit it but his phantom companion had a point. He'd eaten through his supply of 'livestock' in a relatively short amount of time. What else was he to do on this planet? The Namekian people were peaceful and outside of providing him power with their lives. He doubted they'd prove useful in aiding him against the Saiyans. Whatever the case he'd have to go out and hunt now.
He dragged himself slowly towards the exit of his cave. The light of Namek's three suns stung against his eyes. It took several seconds for him to adjust. Once they did Quatum went to work hunting down his prey. The white's of his eyes turned a pitch-black as he activated his Parasight. It didn't take him very long to find a target relatively close to his current location. The only problem was the level of power they were producing.
"A measly hundred, but it will do for now." he took off full speed towards the source of the energy. As Quatum ran he triggered yet another one of his abilities by duplicating himself. The pair of Quatum's arrived at their destination to find their target, a little girl, currently engaged in conversation with someone else. An obvious android and if Quatum had been paying enough attention. He'd have realized the android was made from familiar technology.
Unfortunately, the parasite was far too concerned with satisfying the hunger that had overtaken him. So he lunged forward, without warning towards Belle's back. His monstrous claw poised to strike directly into her flesh.
Meanwhile, his copy took aim at the android and fired off a beam of yellow energy that quickly faded. He hoped to keep the android distracted while the real Quatum fed on the girl.

There was a strange yet serene kinship that Duran felt toward the Saiyan child. Despite his hatred toward the Saiyan race, he couldn't help but feel as if the two had more in common than one would initially think. His core pounded with a weird tensity as he awaited her response to all he had shared. Although, the peace and quiet was quickly disturbed. Duran's Scouter eye picked up two identical Power Levels that sped toward their location with violent intent. The Cyborg's attention immediately snapped toward the source, only able to pick up a blurred silhouette as the hunter pounced toward his prey. The child!
It was as if a switch was flipped inside of the Android's mind, turning him from a calm and composed figure to a machine of war and battle. Eye bloodshot and fueled with fire, Duran darted past the Saiyan child and held firm. Raising an arm, Duran erected a holographic shield that caught the monstrous claw head-on. A deafening sound erupted across the landscape. Unable to leave the Saiyan unguarded, Duran was a sitting duck for the other hunter's attack. The thin beam of condensed Ki crashed into the Android's shoulder, piercing the steel and damaging the inner mechanisms. Duran growled in a mix of intense pain and anger, pushing back against the claw's force. ''Hide!'' Duran roared over his shoulder, sending an intense look to the Saiyan. ''I will hold them off!''Returning his focus to the invaders, Duran lashed out with his holographic shield to throw the attacker off of him. Stepping back to create further distance, Duran took a very brief moment to assess the situation. His scanners worked at supersonic speeds, quickly detecting that the attackers were identical in every possible way. Clones, perhaps? ''Preying on the weak, are we? Pathetic! Come, face your death!''
Duran roared, Destron pumping through his veins as he launched himself from the ground. He blitzed toward the clone that managed to snipe him from afar, approaching fast and viciously. His gunblade lashed out toward his opponent for a quick slash as he passed him. Afterward, Duran didn't hesitate to immediately change his direction, speeding back down to crash his fist into the other clone's body.
While this was happening, Duran's internal communications ran wild, sharing his location with his trusted allies.
'This is Duran! Korla , Iyokan , I've been attacked by an unknown force, I need backup, immediately!'
If only the Saiyan wasn't present- Duran would have no issues defeating these enemies.
Strangely, he felt the intense need to protect her.

The strange man seemed pretty flustered when she called him out on being worried that she was a Saiyan. It wasn’t hard to tell, but she supposed she would explain it to him. “You looked at my tail the same way the Arcosians did back on Arcose. I could tell from their auras that they didn’t like Saiyans. I can’t see yours, but the look on your face was pretty similar. That’s how.”
Belle just nodded to reaffirm that it was indeed other Saiyans that hurt her. Aside from Mister Vocado, her uncle, and her father, there was another reason that she didn’t like Vegetan Saiyans in particular. It was hard to describe, but if she had to do it, then it would be that the culture on Vegeta was the bad thing. It propped up only the strong. Not the weak. It tormented and tortured the weak. And then that form… the golden one. Belle glanced up as the strange man continued, telling her about how his experiences ended in nothing but death. Belle could sympathize. She had known nothing but death all around her for quite some time. He then asked her what they had done to her. Belle’s expression grew bitter and cold.
“They took everything from me.”
The tenderness in Duran’s tone made her bitterness and malice quickly subside. Help her? No, that would probably be bad. She was a magnet for death. It followed her everywhere. It was one of the reasons that she wasn’t sure about going with Tarch. Someone good and nice like that… she would just get him killed. Like everyone else. But… Belle blinked up at Duran.
“I’m… Belle.”
Stiffening suddenly as she felt the swiftly approaching presence of an aura, Belle turned just in time to see something leaping forward to attack her. Her eyes widened. She flinched and held up her arms to shield herself, but the attack never came. When she opened her eyes, she saw that Mister Duran had stepped in to protect her. But why?! Belle felt the fluttering of panic in her chest. Her vision swam and conjured up the image of Chill being pierced by her Uncle and Mister Vocado’s attacks.
Mister Duran shouted something, but it fell on deaf ears. Her blood ran cold. Not again. A green aura whirled around her as her power awakened slowly. She got a good look at their attacker as Mister Duran pushed them away. And then her mind went blank when she saw his tail.
A Saiyan.
Belle stepped forward, wreathed in malice and psychic energy. She extended a hand out and sent a blast of telekinetic force at their attackers. Really, it was an attacker. They were the same thing. His aura was strange. Layered. Like there were two people residing in the same body. She also extended her mind as part of the same attack, flooding the attacker’s mind with her malice.
“Go away.”
Belle used [UT] Telekinesis to throw Quantum away from Duran.
Belle used [UT3] Aura Flare! Her energy reads as 48,000!
