The Saiyan floated in the sky several miles above Ginger Town. A burning cigarette between two of his fingers and pressed against his lips. He took a drag and glanced impatiently at the vacant sky around him. "Come on Auber hurry up." Scallio exclaimed as he exhaled a stream of smoke. He had sent one of his men to find and deliver a letter to Auber a little under an hour ago. The letter, as Scallio had written it, read as so:
"I know a letter is a bit of an archaic means of communication. Our scouters are on the fritz though so you'll just have to put up with it. I'll get straight to the point, head to Ginger Town. I'll be waiting for you there."
The letter explained very little but Scallio knew Auber would understand the meaning behind it. That it was a challenge for the man who had become his rival. Scallio was certain that Auber would accept it. Despite being from two separate worlds the two men had a fair bit in common. A desire for a good battle just so happened to be one of them.
Scallio had selected Ginger Town for the location of the epic clash at random. It would unknowingly be the setting of a battle several months in the making. The town's citizen, who were going about their daily routines without a care in the world, would soon become unwillingly spectators in a feud that had begun several light-years away.
How they felt or there unwillingness didn't matter to Scallio. His thoughts were overrun, consumed even, by anticipation and excitement. The Saiyan finished his cigarette and flicked it to the ground below. Just in time too as his eyes caught sight of someone fast approaching. Scallio smirked, "It's about time." he said folding his arms against his chest.
'A letter?' Auber thought as he received it from one of Scallio's men it seems, he unwrapped its contents and started to read on it, before a smile dared to curl itself into his face "Heheheh, oh, Scallio, you really are bold, aren't you?" Ginger Town, eh? Well then, let's see if he really thought this through.
Auber continued to think those thoughts even as he flew through the skies of Earth to Ginger Town, did Scallio have something planned or was he really serious about this? Auber could understand the guy who took one look at Scallio and thought he was just another battle-thirsty thug, but you don't get that far as the leader of the Crimson Apes.
He eventually did arrive at the scene, finding Scallio levitating above the city, "So, we are really doing this? Isn't Kayen gonna be pretty mad?" Not that Auber really cared about her thoughts on this, if anything, she probably would have to expect this at some point, they are Saiyans, for crying out loud.
"I was starting to think you weren't going to show." Scallio said with a smirk, unfolding his arms and resting them at his side. He then scoffed as Auber questioned him. "I wouldn't have sent the letter if I wasn't serious about this." he said with a mocking confidence. Only to find his body slightly tensing at the mention of Kayen. "Shit." he hadn't given any thought to how the Queen would feel about their showdown happening above an Earth town.
There was a moment of hesitation as Scallio began to reconsider his actions. "No it's too late now to back down." the Queen of All Saiyans would just have to understand. If she didn't? Then, well, Scallio would just cross the bridge when he came to it. That was assuming he lived through this fight in the first place.
"Don't tell me you need mom's permission to fight now." he mocked now resolute in the choice he'd made. Scallio began to slowly remove his jacket speaking as he did so. "I want to make one thing clear before we get started Auber." the Saiyan locked eyes with his rival. A burning intensity and seriousness could be seen within them. "This isn't going to be like the last time or the firs time we sparred. One on one, no Narissa, no Nashua, no back-up and..." Scallio let his jacket which was fluttering against the wind in his hands drop.
"No holding back." orange light bathed Scallio's body as his ki erupted from his body like a volcano. "If you can make peace with that. We'll begin whenever you're ready." he glared ahead eagerly awaiting Auber's response. Be it with words or fists, Scallio knew his fellow Saiyan wouldn't disappoint him.
