Gabu had been walking by a city that was close by to his campsite. This city stated that they had the best chicken in town! KFC! which stood for Komfy Fed Chicken. Gabu didn't want to spend money on the chicken, so he decided to go to the great outdoors and cook him up some chicken by the fire instead in the outskirts of town. So he did just that, the fire was prepared and the raw chicken he had bought at the local market was big enough to feed a lot of people. Upon completion of said chicken and the smell being absolutely amazing, he grabbed him a piece of the leg and placing it in his mouth. The only problem, was that GABU DIDN'T HAVE TEETH TO CHEW THE CHICKEN. He'd croak almost choking on the chicken as he spat it out almost immediately. Gabu was now frustrated, with the delicious chicken he had just made and he can't even eat it!
Then, Gabu had a new plan! He would proceed to grab the chicken he had thrown away, rip the chicken meat off the meat and proceed to just swallow it instead. It was tasty and Gabu definitely enjoyed it, minus the chewing. Even though he had to take it little pieces by little pieces, he was still enjoying the food he had just made. Gabu proceeded to drink some water from his nearby flask bottle and enjoyed it as well. From the looks of it, it was close to midnight and Gabu stared at the full moon before him.
It was nighttime. Belle knew Tarch would probably worry if she went out this late, but she needed some fresh air. She’d had a nightmare. She didn’t remember all of the details, but she remembered bits and pieces. Her father yanking her around with strings tied all over her body. Her uncle’s piercing blast going through her small form with a victorious roar for the Empire. Mister Lord Chill reaching out to her, looking as sad as she had seen him. She couldn’t escape it. Even in her dreams. It was just constant. Persistent. Belle held her head in her hands and frowned. The pain in her chest just wouldn’t go away. It was sharp and cutting, and only seemed to cut more everyday. It only got better if she could forget.
Looking up for the first time in a while, Belle realized that she had wandered deep into a dark forest. She wasn’t sure where she was exactly, but she knew that she could find her way home pretty quickly. Before she floated up and away though, a beacon of light in the darkness caught her eye. It was… a fire? There was a familiar aura there too. She couldn’t really place it, but she knew that she had seen it before. A little curious, Belle pushed her way through the underbrush and stepped out into the clearing. Oh. It was that toad man from her birthday party. It looked like he was having some dinner.
“Um… excuse me… Sorry to get in your way.”
Belle bowed her head in apology and turned to go. She hoped that he didn’t recognize her. It would only bring back unpleasant memories of that day.
Gabu's scouter started to beep. A curious hm went across his lips and mind as he shifted his eyes to the lowest reading that he had ever seen before. '100 power level', he spotted Belle and raised a brow in curiosity.
"Belle, I almost didn't recognize you for a second. Come join me, I have some freshly cooked chicken."
He'd nod her way genuinely.
"This world is something huh. Your birthday being interrupted by two saiyan kingdom members."
He'd take a second piece of chicken, this one being a wing as he started to rip apart the chicken into tiny pieces so that he could consume them rather easily since he didn't have teeth. He'd put a few pieces in his mouth and began swallowing it.
"I tried asking around for you when I came back to Arcose. It seemed that you had left. So I take it your with the Saiyan Kingdom now huh? Wouldn't blame you. The fleet isn't exactly winning any awards here."
He'd croak to himself, clearing his throat and drinking some of his water from his container. He'd continue to eye her and rising to his feet and heading over to his camping supplies bag.
"So what are you doing out here all alone. You aren't exactly able to defend yourself at the state of being at 100 power level. Didn't Lord Chill not teach you anything?"
He'd chuckle to himself, digging from his supplies and grabbing an extra sleeping bag, walking over to her side and placing it on the ground next to her, returning back to his log that he was sitting on.
"As an eight year old child, you shouldn't be out here living through times of war.. it's unfortunate I must say. But you are more than welcomed to sleep here for the night if you want. I will stay up and keep you protected. I have learned to judge not all saiyans. The bounty hunter Ochra taught me that all saiyans don't bind to the Saiyan Kingdom and that they are all different. I can't say the same for my own species. We aren't like that when it comes to my home planet."

Belle was immediately stopped in her tracks by the toad man’s hospitable jabbering. She turned and waved her hands in front of her, trying to refuse, but he kept going. He immediately reminded her of something that she had been trying to forget and then just assumed that she had gone and joined up with the very people who had made that the worst birthday ever? Belle’s expression darkened a bit at that. It darkened even more when he mentioned Mister Lord Chill so casually. Like he was still around to scold her for wandering around so late at night. The toad man went on to say more, but Belle had heard enough.
“No! I’m not with the Saiyans! I never want to see any of them ever again! I hate them!”
Her anger flared as did her power. Belle’s eyes glowed a telekinetic green as logs, leaves, sticks, and other forest detritus were lifted up in a whirlwind of telekinetic power. After a moment or two, she calmed down and debris rained down from the sky.
“I hate them. All Saiyans from the Kingdom are bad. All of them.”
That didn’t mean all Saiyans from Vegeta were bad, but Belle didn’t want to think of it that way. If they were from Vegeta, then they were mostly likely from the Kingdom. That was how it worked. They were… all so caught up by patriotism and their own pride. Like her father. Like her uncle. Everyone. So twisted up by the Kingdom. The Empire. Whatever they wanted to call it. It hurt. Belle forced the hurt into cage in her heart so that she wouldn’t have to feel even a second longer.
“Sorry to bother you. I’m going home now. Thank you anyway for your kindness.”
When she spoke again, it was that flat monotone that she used to protect herself. Flying up above the campsite, Belle looked around for her home. Unfortunately, she was still getting used to this city, and it looked a lot different at nighttime. She wasn’t sure where anything was. Where did she go? Should she call Tarch?
Belle used [UT3] Aura Flare! Her PL reads as 60,000 briefly.
Gabu's scouter started to beep at a violent pace. His eyes focused on her telekinesis of her lifting up so many objects in the air. Her power then skyrocketed from '100' to 60,000! Gabu's eyes lit up in amazement and being terrified at the same time. This was no ordinary girl and he'd croak to himself as he rose to his feet and placed both his hands forward. He spotted her flying in the air and he followed right behind her and kept his distance from her as he raised his hands up in a means to appear less threatening.
"Belle. I'm sorry I didn't know. When those two saiyan kingdom members showed up, I was knocked out during the entire fight. I woke up wondering what had happen to you. All I heard from the soldiers is that you left. You don't have to go... If you hate the saiyan kingdom, then where did you go? Why did you leave planet Arcose? Did they capture you?"
Gabu's didn't know what had happened and he trembled in his boots as he attempted to grab her shoulder softly.
"As long as i'm here with you, the saiyan kingdom won't come near you I promise. During your birthday party, I went straight towards them and tried to not only defend you, but the other members of the fleet as well. I had never seen such power before from the saiyan kingdom. They are the biggest threat that I have ever witness. We can work together and train together so that we both are prepared to one day take them down together. You clearly have the strength that I wasn't aware that you even had. At your age, I could of only dreamed of having that power level. Don't go.. there are things that I can teach you about the world. Before I was a fleet member, I was a mercenary. I have ventured far and wide throughout the galaxy. I may not be the strongest member, but I do know a lot about the world and what dangers it can bring. Wandering this planet alone is just as dangerous as any other planet."
Gabu pulling out his mission log clipboard and showed it to Belle.
"I have a mission to save the children who had left planet Arcose and came to this planet in order to hide. The problem is that mercenaries and other factions have banded together to hold these children hostage at a nearby cave. I was about to head there now but with your help the job can be done twice as fast than me going in there by myself. I need your help Belle, and so does those children."
These children were brenchians respectfully and because of what had happened to Lord Chill and the news breaking out. Other factions took notice and now are demanding a large some of money in order to release these children safely. Normally the fleet wouldn't care and just let them go, but Gabu took the mission because of his big heart and caring nature. He'd look to Belle with a serious look, he couldn't do this mission alone and run the risk of one of the members doing something horrible.
"No other fleet member wanted to take this mission with me because of the overload of other assignments that they had to do."
Too close. This guy was getting too close much too quickly for Belle’s liking. She was about to answer his questions when he touched her on the shoulder. She tended up. The toadman went on to say something about pledging to protect her, which, while somewhat reassuring, was not something she wanted anyone doing. No one should get hurt because of her. Ever again. He went on again to compliment her power. She wasn’t strong so she wasn’t sure why he was doing that. He even started going into his own history, which only confused her further. She wasn’t sure what the point of him saying all of this was if he even had one.
Before she could get a word in edgewise, he pulled out a clipboard and shoved it at her. Apparently, it was all leading up to a dangerous sounding mission that he wanted her help with? What? What was the toadman going to do if she hadn’t come along? Go in alone probably. Plus, Tarch would get mad at her if she went and did something so dangerous. For all those reasons and more, the first thing Belle said was a resounding…
“No. I’m sorry, but I’m just a kid too. I’m not strong… I couldn’t help. Plus, Tarch will get mad if I’m not home soon.”
Belle shook her head and pulled away from the toadman.
“I left to fix things. I still have to fix things, and I have to do it alone. I’m sorry… but no.”
Shaking her head again, Belle backed away. This was wrong. This was bad. She hadn’t known the toadman that well back on Arcose. Maybe he was just trying to bring her back so everyone could have someone to blame for what happened? She didn’t know. But she was sure that she wasn’t going anywhere with him. She took off at a quick pace. She wasn’t very fast, but she could call out for Tarch if things got any scarier.
He'd briefly sigh to himself and shake his head in disbelief. He knew that she didn't like the saiyans, yet she didn't want to go back to being with the people she has been with. After the death of Chill, perhaps she had lost her way truly. He'd simply walk away from her, getting a bucket of water and throwing it over to the fire.
"Perhaps you are too young and weak, or have lost your way. Nevertheless, this is a cold world that is truly unforgiving."
Infact, before he left, he decided to add a sly remark, maybe it would work maybe it wouldn't. Though ultimately he didn't care for it. As he walked away into the shadows of the night, he say these words.
"I only asked because I didn't see your age, nor did I see your power. I saw someone who cared for Lord Chill like I have. His offspring is in the mix with the children who need my help. You may have been the one closest to our Lord. But I was his best friend when the times were truly dark for him. Farewell Belle. May this world guide you without the torch."
Gabu knew he had to make a few phone calls if he was going to have someone aid him with this mission.
