Paige had stumbled upon Moori capital mostly by luck, clothes tattered and face battered after a certain incident that occurred only a day prior. It was the first real conflict she'd had since the Black Stargoon - Mumbo if she remembered correctly - had attempted to up and vaporize her with a mounted laser gun. Even that hadn't ended in much bodily harm, though, and despite being able to 'turn off' pain on a whim, the stress of the damage she took still weighed upon her. After a quick look over, it was also determined that the robes she'd worn since coming to the mortals' realms were far too dirty and damaged to be of continued use, so it was reluctantly tossed.
Her black - a bit too tight - clothes, scarf, and hidden purple headband stayed - along with her boots. The end result was a much less blue Paige, for better or worse. Perhaps she should start factoring potential damage into her schedule when traveling from now on, for prancing around in her... underclothes, for lack of a better term. Not that she realized or even thought of what implications might mean for mortals but was rather focused on formality and dignity. How was she supposed to appear as a respectable and respectful individual when she couldn't be bothered to dress for the occasion?
This ALSO had the side effect of leaving Klarenets without a sheathe - and while carrying around the weapon didn't exactly tire her out, it became slightly irritating to trek around in public waving a sword about. Tended to draw attention for the wrong reasons. Having recently picked up on her magical abilities' ability to create things from nothing (well, something. Matter just didn't get suddenly warped into being). That wasn't to say she was good at it. Far from that claim, in fact. However, with a bit of concentration and about twenty minutes she was able to fashion a brown half-sheathe to strap around her back.
Red-tinted blade sliding snugly into place, Paige felt reinvigorated and not at all self-conscious from the stares a few of the Namekians had been giving her. Fair enough. An offworlder being... weird. Probably not rare but still. The architecture of Namek was unique and definitely a sight for sore eyes after the endless rows of gray concrete skyscrapers that many Earth cities boasted. With a friendly smile and some casual greetings, her entry further into Moori went out without a hitch.

Ikra's PL: 100
Leaving her dear Riis for a little bit of a look see wouldn’t hurt. At least, that was what Ikra had thought. But honestly, Namek’s infernal three suns made peering into the world of light a true hassle. She only got glimpses and snippets of the place through what limited windows there were. Eventually, she got tired of looking for a good view and decided to cruise along in some random Namekian’s shadow. At least there she would be given a tour. Ugh, she hated this planet. It was like this the last time Riis had come here too. Pouting to herself, Ikra floated along when she noticed something strange. Not too far away, light was actually… intruding into the shadow realm. How strange. Slithering over to the opening, Ikra tentatively reached out to touch the intruding light. “Ah! What…?”Recoiling as the light burned her hand, Ikra withdrew slightly and peered at the portal into the world of light. What she saw… puzzled her. It looked like a being made entirely of light. There were creatures in the world like that? Perhaps stealing a shadow would let her understand the situation better. Slinking over to an unsuspecting Namekian, she pressed an icy hand to their back. They shivered involuntarily as her inky black form rose up from the ground. She had chosen a secluded alley for this, so it drew no unnecessary attention. Once she was fully formed and cloaked in the Namekian’s shadow, Ikra scooped up a rock from the ground and peered around the corner. There was the being of light. She could tell, even from here. The edges of their body rippled with some divine radiance, but in this form, she could at least see what they looked like. Even being this close made this temporary form waver. What were they? Tossing the rock over to the being of light, Ikra waved. A Namekian made of shadow wouldn’t go unnoticed in a place like this. She needed to get answers and get the strange being into the alley.

There was a slight buzzing sensation at the nape of Paige's neck. Nothing irritable or overly painful - but enough to make her aware the feeling was there in the first place. Her hand went to rub the spot, confused as to why it was happening. A few more Power Levels had come into the range of her energy, though none were even close to massive enough to cause a feedback overload. Carro's android, LEO, had once incapacitated her by existing... but that was when Paige was far, far weaker than she was now. She almost wondered what LEO's overwhelming aura would feel like now. Sidetracked, the sensation was ignored as Paige idly thought of what-ifs in her head.
That was until a rock came flying at her at very not-dangerous speeds! The Shinjin noticed it but had merely assumed some passerby had kicked it on accident and was content with it impacting her leg and doing... nothing adverse to her physical form. The half-sentient sword on her back, though, had other plans. It had been twitching - restless for conflict over the past few days Paige had retrieved it from the ruins it hailed from, and with the prospect of an unknown attacker, it eagerly sprung to work in an attempt to 'defend' its' master.
The Shinjin realized a fraction of a second too late that her weapon was moving, and her fingers clasped around empty air as the sword magically propelled itself, swinging in a downward arc to slice the offending piece of rock in half with full vitriol. Paige's brows furrowed into a glare as she yanked the sword from the air, magic going limp as she re-sheathed it. "That was a pebble." She berated, irritation seeping into her tone. "New ground rule. Don't go on auto defense unless its' an actual attack or I tell you to." The sword, of course, did not respond.
It was by pure chance that Paige actually bothered to look up to the direction of where the stone had come from, spotting a Namekian shaped shadow beckoning her into an alley. Totally not ominous whatsoever. Paige glanced from side to side to confirm that she was the target of its' attention, and with all the other passerby ignoring her or shuffling past, it was clear it wished to get her attention. Shrugging, the lesser Kai decided to go through with it - striding over to the darkened alleyway and approaching the odd figure. "Er, was that you that threw the rock? Did you... need something?"

It was kind of funny when this being’s sword sprung out of its sheath to protect its master from the evil pebble that she had thrown. Cute. Thankfully, the little sword’s antics managed to help the being of light see her. It glanced from side to side just to make sure that Ikra did in fact mean to call them over. Well, yes. Who else? Hm. Maybe this being’s radiance wasn’t immediately clear to the Namekians? Now that she thought about it, Ikra hadn’t noticed any Namekians staring at her aside from the occasional curious glance. But… someone glowing with divine radiance would attract more attention, right?
Her questions were pushed aside as the being approached. Ikra has to focus on maintaining this temporary form. It felt like her protective shadow cloak was being burned away. Ikra put a hand out to make sure the strange being kept their distance. Once her form stabilized somewhat, Ikra waved her hand to form some words in the shadows.
‘Who or what are you? Why are you so… bright? Shiny? Whatever. You are glowing with divine radiance! I’ve never met such a creature. Explain yourself.’
Perhaps that came out a little more forceful than Ikra intended, but she was falling apart here! Her temporary shadow form grew increasingly transparent where normally it would be only solid looking inky blob. Damn! It was difficult to maintain. Ikra wondered what effect it might have on her when she actually had a body. She might have to modify the plans that she gave Riis to make it a tad more durable.

Paige quirked an eyebrow, a bit taken aback by the strange being's tone and questions. "'Shiny?'" She repeated, glancing all over her body to confirm. "I mean, I don't seem very shiny. At least, to myself that is." Though, it seemed that the shadowy form of the stranger had begun to flicker, as if it was being weakened by her mere pre- oh. Paige snapped, a realization coming to mind. "Are you a Demon? I tend to have some sort of... weird effect around them, most of the time. It's because..." The Kai hesitated. Once, she would've kept the true nature of her identity under as close a wrap as possible...
This didn't seem necessary, though. "Well, it's because I'm a Shinjin. From Otherworld, specifically." Some people knew what the Kais were, and others did not. The shadow had asked what she was, so Paige simply answered the question given to her. Paige stretched idly, moving to unsheathe Klarenets in an non-hostile fashion. "This a sword... well, I guess MY sword now. Er, it's name is Klarenets. I believed it was forged using dark magic and a demon soul or something?" Paige drew a line in the dirt with the weapon, red light glinting off the edges of sunlight that crept into the alley. "The point of me saying so is that it can't use its' innate curses or anything when I'm around. Like the whole possession and full sentience and whatnot. Negated."

It seemed as though the shiny person didn’t even notice their own shine. Maybe it was only present to the denizens of the shadow realm? They did spend their lives in the dark. Ikra couldn’t muse on it for too long, mostly because it took all of her concentration just to maintain her temporary form. A snap drew her attention to the strange light being to which Ikra could only tilt her head in confusion. Demon? Well, her kind had been called such before. Devils, monsters, bodysnatchers. They had a lot of names.
‘I suppose I must be. Otherworld… you speak of the Afterlife? Why do you walk amongst the living? Don’t have have… souls to tend? To be honest with you, I’ve never much considered the Afterlife. My kind don’t age or die from natural causes.’
Ikra knew that she was different from most creatures. Mortals. Denizens of the realm of light. Whatever you wanted to call them. She leaned away slightly when the so called Shinjin drew their particularly jumpy sword. The Shinjin explained something about the sword having a demon soul in it, and she was using it as an example to demonstrate. Well, the sword had certainly acted on its own though that could have as easily been a spirit of some sort haunting the thing.
‘If what you say is true, then I am a demon. Demoness I suppose. I am called Ikra by my peers. Ah, but worry not. I’m not here to cause much mischief. I’m only following my darling as he goes about his business on this world. I thought I might have a look around to see if I saw anything interesting, and, well, here you are! Nice to meet you, tee hee!’
