Belle’s PL: 40,000 Aura Block: Set to 100
Tarch has said that there were Dragon Balls on Earth. It was high time that Belle tried out this radar that he had given her. She had been flying around in her ship, trying it out. She was also getting the hang of figuring out the ship. It was a lot bigger and emptier without Chromo and Tarch in it. She felt just a bit lonely. But! It was okay. She was gonna find a Dragon Ball and then go see Tarch. A glance over to to the communications console reminded her that she ought to check in on Mister Duran and Mister Aizu at some point. It hadn’t really been that long since she had seen the two of them though. Maybe she would talk to them after she had gotten her wish and fixed things. She wasn’t really sure would she would do after the wish. Disappearing would probably make Chromo pretty happy, heh. Before long, her radar started beeping over an island. Belle perked up and glanced over to Daisy who was sleeping on a pillow. “We found one, Daisy!”Daisy opened one eye and made a sort of curt snuffling sound before closing it again. Lazy Daisy. Landing the ship sort of smoothly, Belle ran down the ramp and outside. What she saw sort of surprised her. It looked like some kind of fancy resort. The kind that she was pretty sure she has seen in the nicer areas of Vegeta. So maybe people went on vacation here? It didn’t look like there was anyone here now. Stepping onto some soft sand, Belle wandered into the abandoned resort, her nose buried in her radar. “Um… so it’s… this way…?”Turning, Belle followed the direction that the radar indicated when the reading changed again. Belle frowned, pretty confused. It looked like the Dragon Ball was moving around. But who would be here? It wasn’t like anybody lived here. She could tell that much just by looking around. Unsure, Belle followed the radar, glancing around cautiously. “Hello? Is someone there…?”

Thread PL: 179,935
Yogu was having a good time on his lonely little island. Sure, no one had shown up and said hi. And he hadn't heard from Nashi or anyone else for a while. But that was fiiiiiine! " I should think of this as a vacation! Sure, I was in Hell for a few months and I guess that was already a vacation but whatever. I'm fine. I'm not losing my mind." Yogu was losing his mind a little bit. Turns out, when you stay all by yourself on an abandoned island for a while, you go full castaway. Sure, he could always leave but... " Wait why the hell didn't I just leave? I've been wasting all my time here!" And yet Yogu still didn't get up and leave. He was situated inside a little tiki hut style building on the beach. It was nice. It had a TV, Video Games, and one of those little dancing bobblehead things on the window sill. Yogu hovered just above the couch, pretending to lay down on it. Some game show was playing on the TV. The ghost had become a full-on couch potato. Yogu whistled a tune to himself while he bounced the Dragon Ball against the ground. It landed back into his hand. He had been doing that for a few hours now. " Man, everything is just so monotonous now! Sure, I get this whole Dragon Ball thing is super serious and all, but I wanna be the one out there chasing after these things! Sitting around is so booooooring!" Then Yogu sensed something nearby. The energy was a little on the small side compared to the people he knew, but it stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the static that was all of those tiny energies that made up the population of Earth. And that energy was on the island. " Ah, shit. Is someone coming to take this thing? Finally, some action!" Yogu phased through the wall of his tiki hut, and looked into the sky. He was expecting someone to come flying down, but it wasn't one person. It was an entire space ship! " WHAT THE HELL?! WHY?! Woah, this could mean that it's some super strong big shot working for the WTF! Or-Or maybe the Saiyans! Hmmm... Maybe I should hide this out." Yogu flew away from the Tiki Hut and into the main building of the resort on the island. It was just as empty and abandoned as he had left it. Yogu didn't try too hard at hiding. His hiding spot of choice was behind a potted plant in the lobby of the resort. " Yeahhhh... This'll work." Yogu waited for a while for someone to show up, and it took a while. " Maybe that space ship was a lot slower than it looked?" Just as he was about to leave his hiding spot, the energy got closer and closer. Eventually, it had reached right outside the door to the lobby. They called out and asked if someone was there. Yogu wasn't too surprised at first, but when it processed that the voice sounded a lot like a little kid, he got confused. " Why the hell is there a little kid by themself?" Yogu didn't hesitate or think this was a trap at all, he decided to phase his head through the wall and into the open. His pale, ghostly head peeked out from the wall and turned to look at Belle. " Yo." He then phased the rest of his body through the wall, along with the Dragon Ball. " Yeah, I'm here. This is my home, sorta. What're you doin' here all by yourself kid? Did you get lost on your way home? Do ya need help?"

Belle saw its aura before she actually saw the ghost. It was really powerful and really hard to miss once it got close, and she looked vaguely in its general direction. So, when he poked his head through a wall, Belle was terribly unsurprised. And there it was. The Dragon Ball. The ghost had it. Probably because it wanted to come back to life. She shook her head when he asked if she was lost and just pointed over to the Dragon Ball.
“No, thank you. I’m here for that, Mister Ghost. Could you please give it to me?”
Maybe it was rude to be so direct about what she wanted, but Belle didn’t exactly have anything to barter with. And it was more than likely that anything she did have wouldn’t be worth more to Mister Ghost than his own resurrection. People were selfish like that. If it didn’t benefit them, they didn’t bother. She lifted up the radar that she had used to track him down.
“My name is Belle, and I’m looking for the Dragon Balls because I messed up and lost some people that really cared about me. I have to fix that because it was my fault. I just want to make things right, Mister Ghost. I know you probably want your body back, but please?”
Belle wasn’t able to put much emotion into her words. Or rather, she was careful not to do that. She didn’t want her walls to come crumbling down and hurt her again. She didn’t want to feel like that time on Namek where she couldn’t breathe, and everything span around. She didn’t want that again. All she wanted was for this to be over. Her hunt. Her quest. So she could move on. Do something else. She didn’t really know what yet, but she could figure it out if she had Tarch. She couldn’t go back to her old homes. Things were too different now even if Mister Lord Chill or her uncle we’re alive again. It didn’t set everything right.

Apparently, the kid wasn't lost. They came to the island for the reason Yogu had pretty much suspected. The Dragon Ball. " Why on earth would a little kid like you want this?" Yogu spun the wish-granting orb on the tip of his pointer finger while he spoke. The girl was very suspicious to Yogu. " How does some kid know about the DB's, and she just decided to go hunting them on her own?! I don't believe it for a second... Where the hell're her parents? Maybe they're waiting on that ship for her to come back with it... I need to be really cautious here!" But that whole line of thinking quickly fell apart when she began telling Yogu her story. Yogu wasn't sure who she was referring to when she said someone who really cared about her, but he knew that it was definitely someone important. It made him think of his parents. Although there were a few things off about her delivery, like the lack of emotion, that didn't stop Yogu from being concerned for the kid. " Alright, let's back up for a minute, cause that was... Alright, listen. I-I know what it's like to lose someone who cared about you a lot kid. It's uh... Not a great time. So how's about you and me just sit down for a second and talk." Yogu himself down onto the ground, taking a seat. " Listen, kid- Uh, Belle. I don't really care if you're a little kid or not, I'm going, to be honest with you. It's a little strange to have a little kid just be out on their own. Especially when they're hunting the Dragon Balls. Now, I can tell you from what people have told me that hunting these things is incredibly dangerous! It's just not safe to be doing this all on your own! So I don't trust you for a second. As far as I know, you could have a full gang of space pirates or somethin' in that ship of yours. And I have no intentions of handing over this thing unless I can trust you. And to do that, you're going to have to explain to me how you got to where you are. Okay?" This was a good approach to take when talking to this kid, right? From Yogu's experience when he got talked to by an adult when he was Belle's age, he hated getting treated like a kid. " So, let's start from the beginning, okay? What happened?" Yogu didn't feel right doing this. Deep down, he just wanted to give the kid the Dragon Ball and help her with reviving those people she lost. Inside, he was struggling with keeping this Dragon Ball in his possession. It felt like so many more people were in more need for that wish than him. Mostly because people did need that wish more than him. People like Belle. It was killing him inside that he was doing this whole untrusting mean guy schtick. " The Dragon Balls can fulfill just about any wish, right? There has to be some way to get Belle's wish and mine to be granted, right?" Of course, there was that very, very tiny cynical part of him that thought of the possibility Belle was lying to con him out of the DB. " Guess it's all up to this story she's going to tell me..."

Belle tilted her head to the side when Mister Ghost suggested she back up for a minute. Did that mean he wanted her to back up while he processed her request. She took a step back and gave him a questioning look. Like that maybe? Oh. No, he wanted to sit down and talk. Belle approached and plopped down, wrapping her tail onto her lap. Apparently, it was weird for a little kid to be out on their own. Well, it probably was, but it wasn’t like she could do anything about that. She didn’t have anyone to bring with her anymore. Still, her brow furrowed in confusion when he mentioned space pirates.
“It’s just me… and Daisy, but she’s just a Saibanut.”
When Mister Ghost suggested she tell him the whole story, she just sighed. It seemed like everyone wanted to know it. At this point, it didn’t threaten to hurt at all when she told it, so she might as well. Belle touched her headband to steel her nerves. It had been her uncle’s before he had died.
“Okay. Do you know Mister Lord Chill? Well, I guess it doesn’t matter. He kidnapped me, but he kind of grew fond of me I guess. My Uncle and some others rescued me from him, and then we all went to space together. Uncle Kala went to Arcose to fight. Then, my father called me and told me he had died and to come home. My father was a really bad man, Mister Ghost, but he was my father, so I believed him like a dummy. I was really sad and got really sick, and my father tried to use me as a… um… a weapon kinda? I’m not really strong, but I have some abilities that are special. Well, he tried to anyway. I decided that I… I didn’t want to stay with him. So, I called Mister Lord Chill and asked him to come get me. He promised he would. And he did come… but. So did Uncle Kala who I thought was dead. I think Mister Lord Chill killed my father, which made Uncle Kala go crazy. He…”
Belle paused briefly as a little tinge of hurt laced through her. She really thought she could get through this without that happening again. She thought at some point it wouldn’t hurt as much.
“He used me too. He shot a big deadly beam at me, but Mister Lord Chill got in the way and saved me from it. After that… I was really angry and sad. So I said.. some things… and turned to leave. But because of what I said… Uncle Kala let down his guard, and Mister Lord Chill accidentally killed him. I don’t… remember a lot after that. Mister Lord Chill took me to Arcose… we buried Uncle Kala there… he was taking care of me. He even threw me a birthday party. But then Mister Vocado and some red haired Saiyan crashed it and killed Mister Lord Chill right in front of me. Because he killed Uncle Kala. Because I made him drop his guard. Because of me…”
Belle took a deep breath and looked at Mister Ghost in the eye with a grim sort of determination.
“So I wanna find the Dragon Balls to fix everything. No one should have had to die. It was because of me!”
Her tail fluffed up at that statement. It was because of her, right? Tarch had said otherwise, but Chromo pretty much confirmed it. And his voice was louder than Tarch’s voice most of the time. In more ways than one.
“I tried for the ones on Namek… but I was too late.”

What the hell was a Saibanut? Yogu thought about it for a little bit, and then remembered there were more important things going on. Belle began her story and it was... Shocking, to say the least. The kid had been through a lot. And her story really made Yogu think about the Trade Fleet and the Saiyan Kingdom. " Well Belle, that's uh... Quite the story." Yogu was at a loss for words. His immediate thoughts were about what all of that must've done to her psyche, not to mention that she was blaming herself for the whole thing... It reminded him a lot about his talks with Carro during the whole, demon possession thing. How he'd blame himself for a lot of the stuff Monster did. And that determination he saw in Belle's eyes. It worried him. It wasn't the good kind of determination. It was the kind that said to him, " I don't care if I end up dead, just as long as I complete my goal." This kid was dead set on finding the Dragon Balls and didn't seem to know or rather, didn't care about the dangers. Yogu reached over to Belle and gave her his best attempt at a hug, which was hard to do when your a ghost and just phase through most things. " It's not your fault." That was the only thing he could think of to say, but he poured a lot of understanding and sympathy in those four words. Yogu pulled away from his hug and looked up at the clear blue sky. " Belle, listen. Collecting the Dragon Balls isn't going to be as easy as walking up to someone and asking them if you can have it. Sure, you may find one that nobody has yet, but I can guarantee at least some of them have already been found by other people. And of course I won't fight you to protect my ball, but others will. And you're just a kid. You'll get torn apart out there. And I'm sure Chill or your Uncle wouldn't want to see you throw your life away for their sake." Yogu thought about the name of her Uncle for a minute. Kala... Hmm... He could swear he's heard a name very similar back when he was in hell. " Oh... WAIT A MINUTE! Belle, I met your Uncle when I was in Hell! He's some saiyan dude that talks funny and wears a bandana, right?! Hold on... This guy even talked about dying protecting his niece! That has to have been him, right?! But wait... He didn't mention anything about attacking his niece, all he said was that he protected you til the end... Wait a second did that bastard lie to me?!" Yogu decided it was probably for the best to reel it back in because he kinda just called this kid's deceased uncle a bastard. " A-Anyways, the guy never outright said it, but he definitely looked sad when he talked about you. I could tell that he missed you and cared about you a lot. I'm sure that he really regretted what he did." Listening to Belle's story got Yogu thinking a lot about family. And how he ran away from home and separated himself from his family. And then about how he found a new one with Nashi, Yanwang, and all the people on the lookout. He got to be with his family. And Belle didn't. She was all alone, with her saibanut. Whatever that is, Yogu was pretty sure it wasn't a good replacement for family. Sure, Yogu was dead, but he was here. Kalabas and Chill were both stuck down in Hell. And yet Yogu knew that he needed to be alive. He wasn't sure why he needed to be alive, but he felt this intense need to be. " There has to be a way for both of our wishes to work..." Yogu smiled at Belle, " Hey, you leave the Dragon Balls to me, okay? I'm gonna revive your Uncle Kala and Chill and me. I've gotta plan! It's all about how I'm gonna word the wish! If I wish for all the people that were murdered in the past couple of months, Kala, Chill, and I will all get revived! That way we can both get what we want, and you don't have to get involved in the hunt and risk yourself getting killed!" Yogu puts a thumb to his transparent chest. " Just leave it all to big bro Yogu! I'll get your family back in no time!"
OOC: Yogu is making a lotta promises with these Dragon Balls.

The hug came. It was a weird vaguely ghostly hug. Belle wasn’t sure how to describe it other than weird. It was like he was a water balloon. He was kind of solid on the outside, but she felt like if she exerted any real force, she would go right through him. What he said next only echoed Tarch from that day. It wasn’t her fault. Wasn’t it though? She wasn’t really sure that she believed him. Neither of them had been there. Not him. Not Tarch. It was because of her. Maybe Mister Lord Chill would have died another way. Maybe her uncle would have been the one to do it. She didn’t know what it would have been like without her. But she knew what it had been like with her in their lives.
“I don’t care anymore… Mister Ghost, I just want it to stop hurting…”
Before she could keep talking, Mister Ghost suddenly shouted. He had… met her uncle? In the after life? In Otherworld? Belle’s tail fluffed up apprehensively. She backed away a few steps. She wasn’t sure she wanted to hear about him. How he was doing. What he was thinking. She just nodded when he mentioned that her uncle talked funny and wore a headband. Her hand went to the one she was wearing as she thought about it. Belle frowned at her uncle’s account of things. Protected her until the end, huh? Is that what he called it? Belle bit her lip trying to hold back the sudden rush of bitterness she felt. By the time Mister Ghost has reeled back, it was already too late. That needle of hurt and betrayal buried in her chest was buried deeper. Protecting her? Hah! Hah… that wasn’t what happened.
Belle fell to her knees as she listened to Mister Ghost. About her uncle had seemed sad. That he missed her. Regretted it. Mister Ghost hadn’t even known the truth until she had told him. So that was a lie. Something to make her feel better. Too late. Maybe he was sad that he was separated from the Empire. Sad that he had died the way he did. Not in glorious battle for the Empire but because she… maybe she shouldn’t bring him back. Maybe it should just be Mister Lord Chill. Belle bit down on her lip so hard that it bled. The metallic taste helped bring her back to reality.
“Big bro… Yogu?” Belle mumbled, looking back up to him. Another brother? Like Tarch? That didn’t sound… too bad. Still, she didn’t intend to stop hunting the Dragon Balls herself. But… it would be nice if she had someone to help her. So, like her uncle, she was going to lie. Lie about not hunting the Dragon Balls at least. “O-Okay… Thank you… big bro Yogu…”
