There had been a strange sensation, a small but faint thing that drew the demon like a moth to flame. It had started as a small want, then grew to a persistent pestering at the back of his mind. The demon had traveled all over the world, but in this desert something was different. The last time he was here, he may have been to weak to sense it, but now that he was this strong. The magics in this area were noticeable now... Or perhaps something else. Whatever the case was, the demon had found what he was looking for... Here in the desert, the demon stood silently staring at the empty space before him. No words needed to be said, as he was waiting for his family to arrive... And so they did, in the ship they had repaired. The shuttle landing some distance away and the bay doors opening to reveal Barban who looked struck with concern. If they had found it, the door they wanted to believe existed, the doors to the demon realm... Yet Barban was worried his son would return there only to perish at his father's wrath. It was a valid concern, as the demon was sure Sensoa wanted to return. "My lord! Is this it?"Barban asked, taking his spot behind Sensoa who had his hands in his pockets, a long coat on to protect from the cold of the night. Hyuki hurrying along behind her husband and looking with a keen eye. She instantly knew what Sensoa had found, and the message he had sent to them was not false. He had found the door... "Aye... I found a way home..."Sensoa's head hung low then, eyes closed as he thought of all that had transpired. Of how he had all that he needed here now... yet some part of him, in some deep dark corner wanted this. He had wanted this more than anything else at one point, begged for it in his heart but never on the surface. Now it was here, yet why now of all times? Why now that he had found his true home in this realm? Was fate truly this cruel? Was the world truly so twisted to put a dagger in his coffin of desires? Only to awaken that dormant want in the demon's soul for a long forgotten past? "You know you can't return... You'd die."Sensoa heard Barban's voice shake, and the demon looked over his shoulder. Eyes of gold shining in the night, as he looked to his father. Barban was visibly disturbed by the idea, while Hyuki was obviously analyzing the area. She had even gotten out a book to begin writing in it, being as analytical as always when it came to magics. Sensoa would swear up and down that woman loved learning about magic more than she did anything else. Soon the demon returned his gaze to the space before them, a shimmer showing it was reacting to their presence but refusing to open to them just yet. Whatever the cause was, it was clear if the demon wanted to, he could leave at any time. He could return to the place he loved... and forsake the realm he had come to enjoy.... Barban silently began to plead that Chime show up, to stop his son from returning home to the demon realm. He didn't know if Chime could even hear Barban anymore, if the Namekian even listened anymore. He just hoped the lad was around... perhaps another person the demon had come to like could persuade Sensoa from acting foolishly.

Chime's PL: 108k
Unfortunately for Barban, Chime was only a telepath, not a psychic. He couldn't read people's thoughts. Fortunately, there were other things there to draw a Kami's attention, namely magical doors into other worlds. He'd heard of such places before, his father warned him of them back on Namek as something to avoid. But he wasn't a child anymore, he could afford to investigate.
The strange energy Chime was sensing were out in the Fortuneteller's Desert, not too far from the Lookout, globally speaking. It definitely wasn't a person, he could tell that much. It was something else, something...magic. He wasn't sure why he hadn't noticed it before, and mused to himself about it as he flew over. Maybe it was a new phenomenon? Or something old that had re-awakened again? He seemed to have his answer once he was closer: a ship parked in the sands with three figures standing nearby. Maybe this thing, whatever it was, it caught his attention because someone was messing with it. And those figures felt awfully familiar...
He floated down onto the desert and came to rest just a few yards from the group and their ship. A haze hung in the air, almost like a mirage caused by the heat, but Chime knew it was something more. As for the figures, he recognized two immediately. Barban and Hyuki. Which meant the third could only be...
"SENSOA."
Thoughts of investigating magic phenomena flew out of his head, this took priority. Sensoa, the demon Chime had once thought to be his friend, who he had offered his planet as a home to, and who had turned around and decided to conquer that same planet because it didn't meet some arbitrary standards of 'strength.' The attack on the capital had been a failure in the end, and Earth remained free, but that didn't change the fact that it happened. Chime hadn't known what had happened to the 'demon king' after that, until now.
The Kami was usually slow to anger, but this earned his ire. He'd been beaten up, shot at, his home blown up, he even lost an arm at least once, but this took the cake. This was new. He'd never been betrayed before. The Guardian of Earth faced Sensoa across the sands, fists clenched and fire in his eyes.
"You've got explaining to do."

Sensoa watched the space there for a bit longer, not moving from his spot. His thoughts were a jumbled mess as he tried to debate within himself on what to do, however this thoughts were quickly interrupted by a familiar voice. The demon turning immediately to see the namekian Chime. Barban and Hyuki's eyes were filled with surprise but within them was worry. This was a bad situation, as the young man they had come to think of as one of their family was now facing off with their adoptive son.
Sensoa however, took on a more frustrated look. Turning to face the young man in full, teeth gritted and anger in the eyes of the demon. One of the people who had forsaken his family in their time of need, having ditched them! Sensoa had been looking for help with his problems and Chime had been no where to be seen. Some small part of that hatred he had surfacing, a wild look in the demon's eyes at the sight of Chime. He had thought of Chime as a brother, but the little Namekian had disappeared on him!
"Chime..."
Sensoa's voice was seething with rage, fire emitting from his eyes as he took a step forward. His ki rising up higher and higher, leaving Barban feeling frightened. The one eyed lupine stepping between the two while holding out his arms, Hyuki running over to Chime.
"Please, wait a moment you two!"
Sensoa wasn't even looking at Barban, almost not hearing the lupine butler. It was clear he was ready to attack the namekian on sight.
"You.... You have some nerve showing your face to me..."
Barban was growing increasingly worried about the safety of Chime. Perhaps he was wrong to think Chime could talk the demon down, and this whole thing was about to become another Central city incident. Terror was coursing through Barban now, the lupine father was terrified his son would attack Chime. Sensoa hadn't been this angry sense before the incident. He could only hope the next few moments didn't go wrong.
Hyuki would look to Sensoa and Chime before finally speaking up as well.
"Please Chime. Lets just calm down a moment."

The wind stirred around them at Sensoa's energy rose, but Chime didn't look away or even flinch. He just stared Sensoa down, even as Barban moved to intercept and Hyuki ran to his side. "I am calm." Chime said, without looking down at the little feline demon, though it obviously wasn't true. The Namekian wasn't prone to rages like the demon across from him, but he was anything but level-headed right now. Even so, his energy remained level, not flaring up in sync with his emotion, so he seemed in control at least.
"I have nerve?" That one comment from Sensoa etched the scowl into his face even deeper, "What in the worlds did I do? I'm not the one who tried to take over a planet, all because...what? We're not strong enough? Carro showed me your broadcast, from out in the desert. What about us is so 'hypocritical'? I've been trying to wrap my head around it. We don't spend every day punching rocks to get stronger, or what? Tell me, I want to know."
Chime grit his teeth and thought he was done, but more words came spilling out before he could stop himself, "I trusted you, you know. I thought you were trying to make a life, have a family, away from all the terrors of the galaxy. I thought we were friends. And then you turn around and attack the planet I've dedicated myself to protecting, and I still can't figure out why."

Sensoa took a step forward as Chime's tone told him he didn't understand, as if the demon somehow expect the namekian to know why he was angry. Barban was quick to place a hand on his chest, affirming that the fatherly demon would not suffer another step. The anger that seethed from Sensoa was almost visible, violent energies roaring upwards in cascading waves. But as Chime finished speaking, Sensoa was almost ready to tear the namekian apart... or so it seemed. Sensoa suddenly closing his eyes, and taking in a long drawn breath. He did this for a few moments before looking to Barban, his over all appearance much more calm than before.
"Because I was a fool..."
The words from him were true to his heart, and the demon lowered his head then. Barban sighed heavily before taking a step back as well, giving Sensoa room.
"I acted on impulse, brashly and without thought. I acted like a spoiled child, ignorant of the truths and the lies. You were suffering in your own battles and I suffered in mine. I fought for evil, I did things I am not proud of. I betrayed the trust of those who would help me... I hurt my family, I put them at risk and all for my own selfish goals."
Sensoa said looking Chime in the eyes. He was still angry Chime hadn't been there, or asked for Sensoa's help. Not only had the demon been left to fend for himself in a world that hated him for his views, but refused to explain it. The people he cared for and needed the most wasn't present when he needed them most. But it wasn't their faults, and the demon refused to blame them for it. He had made the choice, he had walked down that road and in doing so he would face the consequences.
"If you wish to know the reason... Its because I was mad with grief, loneliness and anger. It wasn't a good reason, nor is that an excuse. But I came to this world blind to reason, unable to understand why this all was the way it was. No one explained it to me, no one cared to do so. Again, not an excuse or a valid reason. I made my choices and I will live with them. I will make them right... But if you wanted to know why... thats why. Now that we are finish with my trail. Begone... You didn't need us before, you don't need us now."
Sensoa spat the last bit, still sore that Chime hadn't asked for his help. Instead Sensoa had to assume that Chime was doing his own thing in gods know where. Chime had abandoned them, left them to their fates to aid others. He took care of his own kind first, and Sensoa wouldn't forgive that. Barban, and Hyuki had treated him like family, but when they needed him to be there he had failed. In Sensoa's eyes, Chime was no different than the human's who had forsaken them.
"Come Hyuki... We shall figure a way to open the portal home..."
Sensoa spat on the ground then, staring at Chime with obvious resentment and disgust. The animosity was still there, but the two other demon's could only look to Chime in sadness. Hyuki was reluctant to leave Chime's side, but after a few brief moments of hesitation, the tiny cat demon began walking back to their sides.

Chime wasn't good at being angry. He wasn't like a Saiyan, or even the demon in front of him, someone who took their rage and harnessed it for power. It wasn't useful to him like that. So as Sensoa explained himself, and admitted to his failures, with no excuses, Chime felt the anger drain out of him. He was still severely unhappy, hurt, betrayed, but the desire to grab the demon by the tail, shake him and hurl him across the desert was fading. It didn't show on his face, though. If anything, he looked even more annoyed, but the frustration was with himself. Chime wanted to stay angry, he was just bad at it.
One thing Sensoa said did get under his green skin, though. You don't need us. Chime never really considered himself to need anyone. Not in the sense that he was the All Powerful God who could do everything himself, he definitely could not, but he was the Guardian of Earth. People were supposed to rely on him, not the other way around. The idea that someone would want him to depend on them, and that they'd be upset when he didn't, was more than a little strange.
Sensoa spit into the sands, and something in Chime's expression twitched, "...Okay, first of all, rude. Second of all...I'm sorry. I've wronged basically everyone on this world, at least, so it makes sense you'd be included in that. If you have questions, then ask them, I'll explain as well as I can."
He turned to really look at Hyuki and Barban for the first time since he arrived, concern creeping into his expression, "You guys are going...home? As in, back to the demon world? I thought you just said you would make things right...how will leaving do that?" Chime crossed his arms, looking stern, "I thought long and hard about going home too, you know. Just leaving this planet and running. But I decided to stay, to try and fix what I've broken, and make things better. I'm not sure if it will work, I could easily make everything even worse, but," he shrugged, "I think we should try."
