Amara grimaced, slightly held back by the third simultaneous explosion she just had to shrug off in the past five minutes. She wasn't seriously injured, but the crooks' objective wasn't to kill her - it was to halt her progress. And they were doing a damn good job of it. It was odd meeting low-powered goons this competent. Usually, they tried shooting the glowing tailed lady with a gun before getting rushed down and bodied, but this time actual tactics had been employed, the men making use of high-explosive rocket weapons. The actual impact hurt about as much as a toddler giving her a gut punch (which was to say, not really at all) but the force and smoke made her pause.
It wasn't just like she could fly around it or find another route - this was an underground complex, and one wrong move could send the whole thing crashing down on her head. Sure the objective might possibly be complete in that case, but tough or not, a few thousand tons of dirt and metal on her face would be a bit hard to climb out of. The structure was annoyingly sturdy enough to withstand the constant discharge of rockets, but if Amara tried burrowing through the side... eh. Wouldn't end well.
Thoroughly pissed, the Saiyan grabbed the next rocket mid-air, turning the projectile around and returning it to its' sender. The man screamed for a second, cut off by a loud bang and the icky splattering sound most of them had when blown up. "Fuckin' pricks." The woman darkly muttered, brushing soot off her suit as she stepped further into the hideout, scouter pulled up to scan for tunnels and possible adversaries ahead. Amara sighed, wondering just why she agreed to get into this shitty situation in the first place.

The mission was rather simple than most Yakone had given. Go to a fairly large apartment complex and get rid of some goons who tried to steal from Yakone's previous hideout. However that try would eventually become successful. Because now Yakone was missing a large sum of his money that was taken from the goons. Yakone had sent Amara to the place along with Jarico for this mission. As she was taken care of the underground level floor, Jarico was taking care of the first floor of this place. Gun fire was easily heard coming pass him and from right above his head as he'd tsk his teeth in frustration. These goons were loved to keep opening fire their weapons straight at their targets for quick eliminations. The only problem was, these weren't just your typical goons for the most part. Some of them would even present a great challenge to Jarico. The riddled with bullets wouldn't be his style. The goons had stopped their firing behind the couch and realized that he was prone to the ground due to not exposing himself and them seeing the sofa covered in holes with no one their. They didn't want to waste anymore time and began to pull out a rather large missile from their back and the sound of them putting it over their shoulder and adding up the missile to it was as loud as it could ever be. Jarico didn't want this apartment complex to go down the drain since it would make it that much harder to find the money in the first place. So he hoped off from behind the couch and revealed himself as he leaped into the opening fray of three of the goons all looking at him in shock. Two concealed knives hitting the necks of the ak 47 wielding goons, dropping them dead in their tracks. Before the final individual could fire upon him with his missile. The entire apartment complex was shaking due to a missile explosion that happened ground below. This caused his opponent to fall to his buttocks and before he could adjust the missile and fire it, Jarico made quick work of him and eliminated him with ease.
Just when he thought the sun would shine on his face, he would hear the upstairs second floor pair of goons quickly rushing down the staircase. They would surround Jarico and begin to open fire. Jarico found himself diving behind the kitchen counter and heavily breathing to himself. Now instead of three, there was five goons continuing to fire their rounds at him. Frustrated by this turn of events, he immediately decided to quick end this once and for all. The once human form was now gone, as Jarico entered his eagle form and revealed himself, flapping his wings and sending a powerful gust of wind to the five, causing their weapons to slice in two, along with their bodies that flew far back and into the walls. There were now knocked out and Jarico made his way to the ground level area to where Amara was and catching up with her and showing a cheesy smile her way. Jarico would revert back to his base form.
"Hehe, I guess taking the advancement ground below was a good idea huh. You didn't need to take care of those guys upstairs hehe. Now let's find the money."

"Yeah, lets." The Saiyan said a bit angrily, kicked a metal door off its hinges and slamming into another nameless thug who had been hiding behind it. She was still a bit peeved at the whole 'constant rocket barrage' thing. "I hope this is worth it." Promise payment was why she was here in the first place, and if she got a crappy cut there'd be hell raised. Having gotten past the chokehold the minions had been holding her off at, the progress through the twisting underground complex was going at a much faster rate. From this point on they mostly stuck to using standard firearms of weak blasts of Ki, all easily mitigated by her own energy-enhanced strikes or the armor she wore.
Amara tapped her scouter, attempting to communicate to Yakone through it. "Hey, Edgelord. What are we looking for anyway? I know it's stolen money, but what form is it in? Straight bills? Bullion? Digital?" Where and what to look for would greatly differ depending on how the funds were being kept. She had mostly just been following the pathways with the most dudes on them insofar, in hopes that they were guarding the correct way to the stolen loot, which had probably been stolen itself, not that she particularly cared.

Yakone's way of communication was cut off, simply because his scouter was put on off. However, Jarico would be the one to reassure her on what they were looking for.
"What we are looking for is credits from a laptop that they have and transferring it over to Yakone's account."
Jarico would continue to walk forward and stopping just before two hallway crossroads, one that separates from the left and the other to the right. Just ahead of them was simply a wall. Jarico hugging his back against the wall, taking a slight peak and leaning a bit in order to see if their was any guards to the right. It was cleared. Then, he had take a slight peak back to the left, with his face buried behind the wall and his eye slightly showing to scan the open doorframe and seeing two guards walking his direction and having a small commotion.
"What the hell was that explosion? Are they shooting rockets outside again?"
The location in which they were at was indeed an apartment complex however, just behind it was a rather large construction site which connected to the apartment complex underground. This entire underground basement of the apartment, was actually a rather large maze that they just had begun to enter. As the two guards made their way to take the right in order to see what the commotion was, Jarico was to slice one of the guys in half in a vertical upward diagonal type of slash, while lifting up his knee and booting the other one's stomach in quick succession. The man flew against the wall and coughing up spit. Before he could speak other than the grunt noise he had just spoken, Jarico would be quick to hurl a concealed knife to his throat. This would block anymore sounds from escaping his mouth along with ending his life. Jarico would looking over his shoulder at Amara and smirk.
"Looks like we have two pathways before us. We have to divide and conquer in order to find the loot. So I would say ladies first, which pathway do you want to go."

"Digital storage is the worst." She mumbled, adjusting her scouter and trying to form a coherent battle plan. Dealing with armed thugs was one thing... they were more annoying than deadly. The risk of them accidentally or purposefully destroying the data they were after was much, much more real. If they destroyed the port to the funds, they'd have hell and highwater of a time trying to get it back. The Saiyan trailed after the Alien, urgency absent as she tread calmly through the halls. As angry as she was, displaying such anger on a job was unacceptable. The telltale sign of two dudes talking drifted from the paths ahead, the Saiyan reaching for her blaster.
Jarico was a step ahead, dispatching the thugs with brutal efficiency. "Well, seeing as you've already unofficially chosen thug hallway, that's your direction to go now." She declared, moving towards the other split path. "It shouldn't be terribly difficult, just don't spook them hard enough into blasting the laptop to ash." Cracking her knuckles, Amara moved down the hallway. "See you on the other side, birdbrain." She called behind her. The walk was oddly silent, Amara loosely thumbing the grip of her blaster as her steps echoed quietly down the bleak and pristine corridors.
Oddly, she encountered next to no guards along her trail. Doors stopped appearing as well, the hallway widening and metal thickening. Amara frowned, drawing her weapon, taking a curved with caution only to come across a giant, sealed door. The Saiyan shrugged, moving to give it a light, Ki-filled lovetap. Surprisingly, the metal dented but didn't immediately buckle. Huh. That was odd. She tried again. Then again. Then once more. It was only resulting in a very dented but still structurally sound door. What the hell was this stuff made out of?
"Kami damn it, fine." Rearing back a fist, her aura sparked to life as electrical energy surrounded her fist, crackling and hissing. A powerful attack was what it took to tear down the obstacle, sending it flying off the bolted hinges and collapsing with a resounding bang. Whoops, that probably alerted... everyone here. Oh well.

Jarico's pathway wasn't as quite as Amara's was and it would show as he turned his head and peaked the corner to look at three guards heading towards his direction. Jarcio had to think fast and so he did, he'd grab one of the bodies and hurled it against the wall and in the hallway of the three goons. The goons were quick to rush over to the body and all Jarico did was stick his forearm outward, causing the first to hit his throat on Jarico's forearm and causing him to fall flat on his back. While revealing himself and grabbing the second goon's throat and hurling him forward into a wall. The third goon was rather slow than the first two and Jarico putting his body behind the corner again and as he heard the man's footsteps coming forward, Jarico revealed his foot, only to have the third man trip over it and fall flat on his face. Before the third could come up, Jarico shoved his face down into the pavement, causing him to knock out in the process. Jarico was sly for a man of his youth and skill, placing his hands on his two swords hilt and yawning to himself for a brief moment as he raced through the hallway with speed.
As he made it to the end of his pathway, he saw a giant steel door in front of him and with a quick change in his breathing, he'd pull out both his swords and slice open the door in half in an x formation. The door would come crashing down and Jarico would then walk into it, seeing one of the laptops on the table. He would quickly place the usb drive into the laptop, only to have the laptop make a rigging sound noise and Jarico immediately jumped out of the way and out of the room. The explosion was indeed big enough to kill someone and Jarico exhaled in relief that he was alive. All he could do now was walk towards the other hallway that he didn't go through yet and hopefully meet up with his partner.

Of course, there had to be some sort of trap. Amara was staring at a conviently open laptop at the end of a long, narrow hallway in a dimly lit room with seemingly no security guarding it. Absolutely trustworthy! She had two options going forward... one is taking her time to comb for potential triggered traps and ambushes, and another saying 'screw it' and just walking in because most of their stuff here wouldn't be enough to actually do her in. As she was getting bored of standing around doing nothing, the Saiyan chose the later option - casually strolling down the hallway and up to the computer.
In what was totally a 'gotcha' surprise moment, a door slammed shut behind her as the laptop was sucked into the ground by some overly elaborate back and switch contraption. Amara sighed, tapping her foot against the floor as the ceiling opened up to drop a rather hefty looking four-armed robot to the ground - claws snapping as it prepared to totally wreck her. "Get out of my way." She said irritably, hitting it with a slightly charged punch. The machine reeled, electric Ki flowing over it for a second before... it righted itself and came at her again.
"...Oh wait, did they actually manage to make a strong android?" Welp, this would be more annoying than initially anticipated.

Before he could reach the door which would lead to his partner's whereabouts, Jarico immediately halted in his tracks as he saw the disturbance of the ground just in front of him. Two machine claws prying out of the ground and attempting to claw at his feet but much to their surprise there was nothing standing there. Based on Jarico's facial expression, he could tell that the android before him could precisely detect his location perhaps due to heat signatures. This was his thought process however, it wouldn't be enough to give this android an edge as it climb itself out of the ground and appearing to be a giant crab like android with a mouth going horizontally opening and closing. A weird freak show of an android but nevertheless, it had the power that would prove Jarico to stay on his toes. The large thrust of the crab's claws, would be strong enough to cause Jarico to fly far back and against the ground as he coughed up blood. His clothes had been ripped from his chest and had struck his chest as he began to cough up extensive amount of blood. He'd chuckle at his foolish attempt at underestimating his opponent.
He'd shake it off as he rose to his feet and without wasting another second, the once scrawny looking man, was now bulked up, entering his times two state and having double the power than before. The crab spoke, with a robotic voice and what appeared to be having its own consciousness.
"You are indeed strong, however I was program to best any warrior in combat."
Jarico had enough of its talking and decided to dash straight at the crab and pulling out his twin swords, only to have both pieces of the sword clashing against both of the claws, breaking apart, and then striking Jarico's stomach and causing even further damage with his second layer of skin piercing from the blow. He was now in a daze, with his hearing cut short with the sound of static taking over. All he could think about was Yangcong in that brief moment, as he slightly chuckled to himself.
The child Jarico, cowering in fear as two tyrants began to close in on him at a corner of his own household. A black figure appearing in between the two of the figures. IT WAS FANG, Who immediately clawed these two tyrants with quick succession. Before Jarico could ask about both his parents as he hugged Fang's ankle.
"Not to worry kid, Yangcong is taking care of both your parents as we speak. You and your entire race, will be fine as long as Yangcong and his men are here."
All the young Jarico could do was cry onto Fang's fur and the incident coming to a close. The now towering giant android crab raised its claws over Jarico.
"This is the end for someone like you!"
The once skin fleshed man, had now manifested himself into being a giant sized humanoid eagle, rising to his feet and sinking his claws digging into the crabs stomach, while slicing his forearm off entirely. The now one armed crab began to back away slowly, malfunctioning and also not comprehending on what was going on. Before he could say another word, its head was chopped off and his body blown to pieces as a result of it. Jarico panting so heavily, that he simply collapsing to the ground and reverting back to his base form because of it. He couldn't help his comrade as he slightly chuckled to himself in disappointment. The reinforcements would be here any minute and Jarico didn't have the time to lay around day dreaming. Jarico simply closed his eyes and what appeared to be a nap, was his body knocking out.

While Jarico had been busy with his own Android, Amara's battle had been going a bit better. Perhaps it was the nature of her electrically charged Ki, but each and every hit the Saiyan landed against the machine did major damage. It was essentially like flattening a can by slowing denting each and every side inwards, the machine resembling more a mess of wires and scrap metal than a robot by the time it resorted to its' last attack: self-destructing. The mercenary's eyes widened a fraction, arms crossing upwards and charging with Ki as the explosion was muffled by her efforts, sending the woman crashing back through the door she had entered and skidding back along the floor.
A bit charred and bruised, she was faring far better than her Alien companion, Amara rolling over and spotting him on the ground. "Damnit." She hissed, pushing herself to her feet and unhappily attempting to hoist Jarico up onto her shoulder as she shuffled back into the ambush room, stomping the floor with a Ki-infused kick to blow open the mechanism which had hid the laptop. Leaning the alien up against the wall, she hopped into the opening - beginning to fiddle around with the device in an attempt to complete the objective of the mission at hand. After a few minutes of frustrating stagnation, the Saiyan growled and simply shut the device - shoving it into a capsule as she prepared to make their escape.
Yakone could probably extract whatever he needed from the damn thing later. The sound of echoing footsteps caught Amara's attention, the woman swearing and kicking the wall with enough force to dent it. Dealing with them on her own was fine, but when incapacitated as Jarico was now - the body was incapable of putting up an active Ki layer to protect themselves. Even a bullet might be enough to seriously harm him. The other problem was that they were deep underground, and faulty excavation could just lead to the soil collapsing on them. It wouldn't be lethal per-se, but she was carrying someone with her along with the capsule containing the laptop.
...Faulty excavation that was. Staring straight up, the Saiyan spared a glance at the presumably still out-cold Jarico, shrugging before taking a stance in the center of the room. Sparks started arcing to and fro, the energy palpable as bits of debris were raised into the air. Amara suddenly thrust both her arms forward, a brilliant beam of golden light shooting straight up and tearing through the layers of metal and dirt effortlessly, charring the area around the hole so as to not let any loose material fill it. Winded from the move, she struggled a bit more to lift Jarico once more - moving towards the makeshift escape.

The hole was made along with a loud explosion that came with it. Jarico’s eyes had winced opened and he looked to Amara who was carrying him.
“Hehe, you got the device I see.”
Just then, Yakone’s men had stormed into the place and firing off their arm cannons straight at the enemy forces with quick succession. Coming from the now cleared smoke was Yakone himself, his arms to his back and the now standing up straight Jarico limbing over to the helicopter that Yakone had right behind him hovering over the air. Yakone staring at Amara and grabbing the device from her.
“Excellent work. You did good. As promised..”
Yakone would drop the suitcase full of her payment inside.
“Perhaps we will meet again. I have some business to take care of but once I’m done, I was hoping to meet again. Of course the money will increase depending on the assignment of course.”
He’d give her smirk and placing his mask over his face. He’d walk away back to his helicopter and looking over his shoulder.
“I was wondering, what will you be doing in the meantime?”

Ah. Lucky timing. Yakone's army of noodles decided that now was the perfect time to lend support, the rattle of energy blasts filling the air as the goons covered her escape. A voice came from beside her, Amara glancing over to see Jarico moving once more. Dropping the Alien, she looked up at the computer. "Yeah. Couldn't crack it myself, so, I guess the rest is up to scientific nerds." Handing off the machine to Yakone without complaint, the Saiyan accepted the suitcase of Zeni - flipping the lid open and rustling some of the bills to ensure each was authentic.
"Perhaps we will." Amara replied idly, snapping the case shut and standing upright. "You know how to find me by now. Just remember that short of actual planetary destruction, child murder, or genocide I'll usually be up for a job given the right reasons and price point." The Saiyan still had lingering suspicions on why Yakone had chosen to repeatedly hire a mercenary at a higher rate than simply sending in his own men. Her strength, perhaps, but... it just seemed a bit odd. Not like he had tricked her, at least from what she could tell.
Hm. "I've gotten a bit sick of Earth, to be frank. Too many recent bad memories lingering on it." Scallio included. Her 'kid' still probably wanted nothing more than to tear her limb from limb. How loving. "I'll be heading over to Namek. Both for a vacation from this mess and to rendezvous with an old contact to hook me with up some new gear." Her bodysuit and armor patches worked well enough, but with the increasing intensity of the battles she'd been through lately, it might be better to get an upgrade. Hm. She needed to remember to ask if the suit came with a slot for her tail or not...
