Maki had been training under Armara for a decent amount of time, a couple weeks. In those couple weeks, his power level changed from a mere one thousand, to the twenty seven thousand it was today. The earthling was always looking for more training, as avenging his uncle, fighting demons, and keeping Mauy Thai alive were hard tasks to juggle. The stronger he was, the more efficient he could be at each. On this particular day, he was without a training partner. Sure, he had ran into other fighters in the past, but none of them seemed available. Even his master was out on a mission or something somewhere. "What a bore. I wish there was more excitement around here..."The grappler would be on a small beach, outside of a forest. He would be practicing a few tricks on trees and stumps. Basic punches, kicks, and ki blasts would land on the trunks of multiple trees, as he let out a series of strike combinations. If he didn't have anyone to train with, trees were the next best thing. Weights at the local gyms just didn't seem to cut it anymore for his current strength. There were also a few rocks around on the shore, they were much better for lifting. So much so that Maki would walk over and lie down on his back. Grabbing a large boulder to his left, he would being bench pressing the sediment! "One...Two...Three..."Several reps later, he would toss the stone aside and stand to his feet. "Man that was a good workout. I guess there is one last thing to try..." The earthling would set his sights on the high seas. Turning his body to the water, Maki would raise his hands above his head. The teen would close his eyes and focus his power, creating a white orb between his arms. He was about to unleash his most powerful attack against the tides, but would suddenly feel something. Somewhere, there was another power on the beach. He couldn't tell exactly how strong it was, but could certainly feel it. His energy would return to normal, as he became intrigued. "Woah, what's that... I hope their out here training too..."

PL: 12,000 Though the little bugger had been growing on him a little, Nyaku was quite annoyed that Uria had once again dumped Kabe on him for a few days while he tended to some other business. Despite how 'important' he'd said it was, Nyaku knew that the fatso was just going to eating competitions and didn't to bring Kabe for obvious reasons. So, today, to free himself of babysitting duty for a few hours while he hit the pub, Nyaku dropped Kabe off at a treeline beachfront in the Southern Tropics. "Alright kid. I gotta go do ssomething. I'll be back for ya in a few hourss, ya dig? Try not ta eat everybody on the beach, okay?""Oh-kay!" Kabe nodded, his replacement princely garbs treated to handle the saltwater and sand better strapped loosely against his waist by his tail. With an audible VWOOSH the nitran raced off into the skyline, splashing through the clouds and vanishing from view. Left to his own devices, Kabe thought he'd sample some of the local flavors. Reaching down, he shoved a handful of the sand into his mouth, and chewed claggedly for a moment. The mixture of cement-like rock, sand and salt was strong. The consistency made it difficult for Kabe to crush up in his mouth, but as always, he found a way and swallowed it whole. Spitting into the air and wiping his face, Kabe decided he didn't much like the taste of this beach sand. Cricking his neck, Kabe trudged down the sand to the water's edge, and sighed in relief as the waves crashed over his feet and splashed up his legs. Leaping into the water, Kabe set out to catch himself the biggest fish he could find. SPLASH!Water scattered through the air, as an object blurred it's way upward and out of the water with rocket speed. A giant snapper, the size of a horse, volleyed through the air and raced downward toward a solitary figure standing at the water's edge. Next to leave the water in immediate succession was Kabe, who held his fist out with a gravitas fitting of a young king, the light catching on his silver wrist beads as he pulled back from the uppercut that had just sent the fish flying. Looking down to follow it, he saw the lone figure it headed straight for. Zipping through the air, he called out a warning. "MOVE! MOVE! BIG FISH!!" KP: 3/3 Maki the Grappler

The earthling's training had been going well when he felt another power level on the beach somewhere. He hadn't had a decent fight in a while, so seeking it out seemed like a worthy task. Maki would begin walking down the shoreline in search of the energy signature when he heard a boy yelling about something. Apparently, a massive fish had leaped out of the water to attack, and some kid was there to warn him. In the past, he would have been far too weak to get out of the way in time, but now was a different story. Managing to catch a glimpse of the creature, the young man would quickly jut out an arm proceeding to fire an energy blast that would roast the aquatic life form in mid air. Grabbing the fish by it's tail before it hit the ground, he'd look over to see the kid who warned him. Apparently, this little guy was the high power level he'd been sensing. He didn't understand why the kid was so powerful, until he spotted the tail. "Hey kid. You're a saiyan aren't you. Pretty strong one too, I bet."
The teen would look over to the fish he caught, and raise it to the air with an arm. "Tell ya what. How about some lunch?" Maki would walk over to a nearby palm tree and chop it down with a stroke of his right hand. He would quickly gather the palm leaves to create a fire, and throw a bit more wood on it. Finally, he would take a massive splinter from the plant and square the fish. It would take a second before the fish would be ready to eat, so he'd turn his gaze back to the young boy. In fact, this kid was especially young, even saiyan kids had to have parents. "Hey kid. Are you out here all alone?"

PL: 12,000 Kabe landed in the sand, skidding to a halt just short of the human who had sizzled and caught his runaway fish. With a smile, he looked again for the word to use when you were grateful. He always forgot it! It was, umm- oh, that was it! "Thanks!" Within a few seconds of him getting close by, the human looked him over for a second and then asked a question. Kabe thought for a moment, and agreed. He was a saiyan, that was the word he'd learned when he first got to Vegeta for his kind of people. "Yeah! Yeah! Saiyan!" He clapped, proud that he remembered the word. Then the human said he was strong, and Kabe flexed his little muscles as hard as he could for show. "Kabe strongest prince ever! Momma Kayen strongest saiyan- strongest person!"Finally he stopped his little show of his almighty strength and he took a step closer, trying for a moment to reach out and snatch his fish back, only for the human to prompt Kabe for lunch. That was one of the words people used to describe food, when- when was it? For a moment he puzzled, and then he noticed the time of day. It must have been around the middle, the sun was at peak, and he thought that made sense. Smiling, he nodded. "Lunch! Lunch!"Eating was often more fun with other people, so long as they didn't try to take the food away from him or stop him eating 'too much'. What did that even mean, too much? There was no such thing! Kabe turned his head though as he watched the human smack down a tree, and gather stuff before starting a fire and draping the fish over it on a skewer. Cooking - that was the word he'd learned for heating stuff to make it taste better - was very good. But, it was just lunch. Kabe was hungry now! Why weren't they just eating the fish as it was? Before he could ask about why it was worth the effort to cook the fish up, Kabe noted the last question the human asked him as he set the fire up. "Kabe not alone, Kabe mom not here now though. Momma Kayen in space, fighting people. Kabe think. Kabe watch by Uria and Nyaku. Nyaku leave Kabe at beach for 'hours' to-day." KP: 3/3 Maki the Grappler

Maki raised an eyebrow at the kid calling himself a prince, and apparently he claimed his mother was the strongest being in the universe. It was the typical child in the earthling's eyes, but the little guy's pattern of speech seemed strange. It was as if he had been living alone with no one to teach him proper language. That was a mission for another time however, as right now he need to focus on cooking. Apparently this as an unfamiliar practice to the youngster, as he looked as if he was ready to eat it raw. Then again, a saiyan probably could. "It's almost ready... and... There" The teen took the massive fish off the fire and held it up with one hand. Raising his other hand, he would karate chop the fish in half and give the slightly bigger side to the kid. He seemed far hungrier after all.
So the boy would continue to explain his mother had left him on earth with a sitter of some kind, in fact, two of them. There obviously weren't very responsible, as they left the kid on the beach unsupervised, and had planed on doing that for a few hours. "So, your mother entrusted you to two sitters who aren't here now... Hmmm." there was also the mention of his mother engaging in a battle of some kind. If his mother was anything like Amara, then that seemed to add up. Then again, plenty of young children tended to idolize their parents. "So, if they just left you here, the what do you plan on doing for 'hours'?"
Maki would wait for the boy's response, but more or less knew what he was going to ask next. "So... Since you're so strong, how about we have a fight? I'll go easy on ya kid, I promise. Just looking to test your strength is all." The earthling would stand up and begin to crack his knuckles. The kid would probably be a good match on a full stomach...

PL: 12,000 Kabe tucked into the fish with a fever the moment the half had been thrown his way. Like a piranna in a cartoon, the fish shaved away to the bone as he chewed along it's exterior. "Mmm..." He growled with delight at the taste of the warmed fish, noticing it was distinctly better than the nibble he'd made against the large fish in the salt of the beach water. Kabe nodded as the human spoke to him through his fish-filled teeth - he was right, two 'sitters', which must have meant 'pirate friends', had been in charge of him and obviously weren't there at the moment. Kabe shrugged at the first question though. He didn't really know what he had planned to do to kill the time, or rather pass it. He'd tried once before but failed to murder the invisible ghost that made time move along and wasted away at his days. It hurt too when he smacked himself in the eyes because he could see time passing. He wasn't sure at all what to do, but as he gulped down the last morsel of fish-meat from the large catch, he swallowed the bones whole with a mighty gulp and nodded at the dark blonde warrior who cracked at his knuckles. "Sure! Kabe fight!" He shouted, and dropped into a stance that showed he hadn't had a lot of formal training. "HYAH!" With a wild shriek, he lept forward toward his opponent after giving him a small nod of warning and through a wild fist from the right, then from the left, followed by a frontward flip to bring his back foot driving down onto his head. Hopefully this frenzied barrage would be worth something, though Kabe wasn't thinking too much about what he was doing. KP: 3/3 Maki the Grappler
