Of course, this would happen. Brand had been leading the way through the darkness of the door with a devil lamp and when it finally cleared up, the others were nowhere to be seen. Typical. Hissing through his teeth, Brand slapped his tail on the harsh rock and glanced from side to side, hoping that they’d magically materialize and spare him the hassle of looking for them. No such luck. He knew what this place was now too. He had to find Kiko before the fool god got herself killed. Dammit. Damn her for making him worry!
Kicking off the ground, Brand rocketed up into the dreary sky, tucking the devil lamp away on his belt. They’d need it to get back. He scanned the rocks below, looking for any trace of his companions. That was when something screeched and attacked him from below. Some kind of demon. With a purple blast of energy, Brand took its head off. Dammit. He seldom wished for things, but learning how to sense energy might not be a bad idea. Or else, getting a scouter like he used to have. Another demon came for him. He executed it with another blast. Dammit! Where were they?! They weren’t strong enough to survive here. Especially not that useless goddess.
“Kiko! Dammit! Where are you?! Just shout or something and I’ll kill whatever’s in my way!”
The Hakaijin listened with his large ears but no luck. No little shrill voice bossing him around. Damn. Now he was really getting worried. And annoyed. How was he going to find her in this place?
Mollusc floated among the rocks his eye staring into the sky. Mollusc was just imaging he was in a pool of water starting into the sky. It allowed him not to lose his mind. This place was effecting him and not in a good way. He felt as if he was changing a little bit. He felt more violent and angry. Maybe it was just having to fight all the stupid demons who really wanted to act as if they were all strong. Mollusc could crush all of them without much effort and he was only fighting to defend himself. It was hard to watch demon's run away and not blast them as they fled. Especially when they came back with even more demons. Mollusc sighed before a large power alerted him.
Mollusc floated up and crossed his legs. Mollusc looked around seeing they were once again just around rocks. It was a real pain but he could sense that someone new was in the area. Someone didn't just pop into existence. Mollusc began to fly over to the power. Maybe they could help him? Or it was just another demon. Guess he could maybe convince this demon to help him. When he arrived he noticed it was not a demon at least he assumed. He seemed to be an oversize cat but he was quite strong. Mollusc scratched his chin as he walked over. "Yo, how are you doing. You know where I need to go to get out of here." He was just going to assume this guy was a demon until he told him otherwise.

When a rather ethereal looking ghost floated up to him, Brand wasn’t sure whether to attack on principle. Anything that actually lived here was probably fair game. He was annoyed enough to want to attack the ghost, but he held back for now. This was the first potentially friendly face that he had seen here. It probably wasn’t a great idea to go alienating potential allies in a sea of monster. Plus, he might have seen Kiko. Grunting with irritation, Brand crossed his arms and shook his head.
“Not exactly. Pretty sure there’s a way out around here though. I’ve just arrived. Listen, Namekian, have you seen a Shinjin with dark skin? She’s a kid, so pretty short still. Pink clothes. Maybe a human kid or big yellow Majin? I lost them when we entered this damn place.”
While he spoke, Brand’s big cat ears twitched this way and that, still listening for the shrill cries of his useless goddess. To his great irritation, he couldn’t hear her. Either he was too far away or something worse. Dammit. He was supposed to be her protector. How did that brat expect him to protect her if she got lost?! Maybe the ghost had a scouter on them or something. He held out an expectant claw. “Hey, look. If not, maybe you’ve got a scouter or something I can borrow?”
Mollusc nodded as Brand explained what he was doing down here. He had just arrived and he had lost some of his friends. He would have made a note that he should try to take care of a better friend of his friends but he was not one to talk to. Most of his former friends either hated him or were not that close. As for the answer, Mollusc shook his head. "I can't say I have seen them. You're the first nondemon I've seen." Mollusc closed his eyes and tried to sense for any other powers. He could sense some powers but they were nothing new. Just the demons he had felt as he flew around. Nothing there stuck out as something new. Mollusc shook his head when Brand asked for a scouter. "I don't have one. I have the ability to sense Ki though. I don't feel anything out there that would tell me your friends are out there. I can keep looking if that would be helpful for you." Mollusc bowed his head to Brand.
